Y’know, what I saw of Houston from the plane and airport windows reminded me of home. High blue sky, wide open spaces, low scrubby vegetation that’s more or less the same greenish-brown. |

Ahhh, someday you gotta check out west Texas and all the fantastic state parks out there <3 <3 <3
And central Texas with all the rolling green hills and the GIANT wind turbines oh yes ( we are the leading state in solar and wind energy in the United States it's pretty sweet :'D )
The Texas coast is meh. I bet the beaches in Australia are prettier xD

one of these days I'll get the chance to check out Texas. Haven't been west of the Mississippi but twice and both of them were up in Missouri and Iowa.

I did see a bit of the grasslands on my drive yesterday, and I’ll probably see more - driving west to Santa Fe today - and I definitely saw the wind turbines. That’s so cool that you’re the leading producer of renewable energy!
Our guide told us a little bit about Texan history, too, and that was fascinating, and I learned to line dance! Also taught all the non-Aussies on our tour the Nutbush, which I guess is Australian line dancing? It seems to follow the same principle.
I’m very surprised by how much I’ve enjoyed Texas. I would really like to stay longer, so I guess I’ll just have to come back.

ITS DONE. ITS COMPLETE. OH MY GOD. CONGRATULATIONS, SHADOW!
Really though, the finale was everything I hoped and dreamed it would be. Action-packed, with just the right amount of emotion (and no. I’m not crying. I’ve just got something in both my eyes). The reunio between Shadowkit and Lionshadow was just precious. It was warm and soft and heartwarming, and I’m honestly so glad Lionshadow found his peace and his daughter at last. I WANT TO DRAW IT.
You tied up all the loose ends so we’ll, Shadow. I loved Jadefox - that was a seriously awesome visual - and Darkmoon and the kits were wonderful, as always. Maskkit continues to be precious, especially when learning she has her father’s eyes.
And OH, the fight between Lionshadow and Shadowface. Everything was so vivid, so brutal, so real. I literally had the scene playing out in my head as I read it. Truly incredible, Shadow. You’ve created something so freaking amazing, and you should be beyond proud. Heck, Shadow, I’m proud of you, and so overjoyed that you chose to share your story with all of us.
Well done, Shadow. I applaud you <3
