Eaglefrost is dead, should’ve been more worried about Lionshadow at that time, instead of having emotional moment, but okay, Shadowface.
At least he redeemed himself and his past lives though.

At the very least, Lionshadow’s spirit seemed to have learned from his mistakes very quickly, given his deal with Jadestar.

Also Spottedmoon, your idea while cool, isn’t a thing. Since you’d think Snow would have learned compassion at some point with all the cats she killed, and is now all floating around with the Snow soul.
(Now I have the image of like a bouncing snow ball that’s soul like, having like little chibi cat heads floating around in it.)

I'm not going to try to defend my characters to you, since everyone has a right to their opinion.

Darkestday has silver eyes. He passed that on to Spottedmoon who then passed it on to Snow, as any other curse would. There is no evidence to suggest that Darkestday ever knew that he was caring a replacement curse, or that he even had the ability to wield it. But Darkestday is Spottedmoon's biological father. That is a fact. I have never suggested in the story that Spottedmoon was his mate. So with this knowledge, it is very possible that Darkestday's newest litter will inherit the silver eyes and the replacement curse.

The power of the curse of fate is complicated. You can essentially change ones fate, but when you do that you change the future as well. Bringing someone back from the dead isn't a power of the curse, but more as it is a consequence of using the curse itself.

Religion is a powerful blindfold. I've been on Lionshadow's side many times.

The funny thing is, in the first run through of this scene, Foxstar was going to come stop Lionshadow at the river (try to) but it felt wrong. I wanted the focus to be on Lionshadow and Shadowhunter, so I had Foxstar die off screen. When I write "A Path of Shadows" (Lionshadow's short story of his point of view on these events) you will get more information on the whys and hows.

There are many legends and stories involving ghosts that I was inspired by when creating Lionshadow's "soul" character. They are forces of nature filled with whatever emotion they last had before they died. Lionshadow's emotions were a whirlwind, but I gave him moments throughout the story of clarity (like with Alzheimer's patients when they have a rebound) to make him feel more real. His "Spirit" is who he was before he was changed, in simple terms.

The whole point with Jade's plot line is that you see what happens when you choose to be merciful or to try to find a way without killing. The whole "I must become a monster plot" is this idea of killing the killer or bargaining with them. How much is a life worth? Is bloodshed really the only option? Of course there is more to it, but this should have been the idea realized. Jade chose to not become a murderer, while Shadowface did.

Try reading Dark Side of the Moon (Spottedmoon's story) sometime when I get back to updating it. Spottedmoon goes through her own journey of self discovery and healing. This belief of hers is one way she chooses to come to terms with what she has done.

She couldn't go back in time. Fate can only be changed as an event is happening. (ooh I need to put that in the quiz lol)
Yes. We do need to see the curse of fate ( and a few others ) in action to understand it. And the tough thing is that each cat is unique with their gift. Their power level depends on how long the curse has been in their family, and also their character in general. (Since their power is a manifestation of their soul, it takes tremendous will power to wield it).

I had no emotions in my response, I was sad when Eaglefrost was dying, but also, like Shadowface, okay; I get it but more important things to deal with right now.

Does this mean the Curse of Fate has a descendant aside from Shadowface?
