The truth will come to light, and all of you...well I have no idea how you will feel. x'D It will be the best chapter (besides chapter 40). I am very much looking forward to starting it once I get back from my trip this weekend. FOUR CHAPTERS LEFT GUYS. JUST FOUR MORE.

And read! It’s a good thing Eaglefrost is there! It has to be him or a SHadowface that chose Fate over Pain, to kill him. Also I’m dissipointed in Shadowhunter but that’s nothing new, more of “Let’s hide information that’s kind of important but I’m not going to tell because I think it’s pointless, and cloudspots ruined the lineage anyway... Bla Bla Bla.” Typically excuses from her, as usual.
I’m a bit confused by why she took Lionshadow’s Curse, she’s the Curse of Fate, she was Pain, was she carrying his kits at the time or something???? That part confused me.
As for my beloved son, he was cute and humorous like his father. Coldkit might be growing on me(? And I don’t care for Maskkit, she has to die for my technical idea to have worked. (Since Coldkit couldn’t carry the Curse, nor could Tempestkit. So as long as Shadowface does not have any more kits, the Curse dies with her.)
Also I’m curious as to where Darkmoon draws the line on scars being nice looking or signs of carelessness?
OH AND I also think they symbol from the humanized version of Curse!
WHAt else???
I can’t think of anything else other than this was a nice chapter and I’m annoyed that it was cut right as the zip

Wow, Shadowface. Wow. I'm blown away. The storytelling and the suspense it just fantastic.
I'm not going to lie - after I read that first paragraph from Wolfheart's perspective I had to close my laptop and walk away for a while, because that revelation literally blew my mind. Really, I just had to do something else for a while because Shadowhunter's revelation changed everything. Really, it changed the entire way I saw the entire storyline. I very rarely feel that way about a plot twist, so well done.
Well freaking done. Just... wow. I still can't quite think straight because I did not see that coming. At all. It really changes everything, and highlights just how much of an anomaly (and monster) Lionshadow is.
Darkmoon is, as always, a badass. And I love Shadowface's scar, because I have a weakness for scars. Seriously. The bond between Shadowface and her kits is adorable. Maskkit is a precious baby and must be protected at all costs. Evidently, Tempestkit has inherited his father's sense of humour... even if his jokes are a little poorly timed XD
AND THE FIGHT that's coming! You set it up beautifully! I really can't wait to see this. It's been a long time coming!
My one criticism is that Eaglefrost seems to be a little obsessed with describing Shadowface. I can see why you put it in there, though, so I didn't mind reading it.

Katanaheart - Shadowhunter is saying that she took Lionshadow's curse (Lionshadow did not force it onto her) in order to protect herself and her kits that she was having with Foxstar (her kit being Jadestar) because two of the same Curses can't harm each other. But that has also led to THEM being unable to harm LIONSHADOW for the same reason. "But wait, Lionshadow HAS harmed Shadowface and others!" Yes, he has. But he no longer has a physical body, and he doesn't do it often (most of the time he uses outside elements to harm Shadowface and her family). He's an anomaly, one that Shadowhunter did not calculate for when she killed him. (Next chapter this will all make MUCH more sense) Thanks for the feedback, Kat! <3 Dingoleap - I'm so happy it felt that way to you. That was my goal. x'3 And the whole thing with Eaglefrost is that he feels (or I guess thinks) that he won't survive this fight with Lionshadow. So he's "taking her in" because she is one of the reasons why he is doing this. He is also doing it for all his friends, family, and loved ones who have died (which he began listing under his breath at the end). He's basically grounding himself as Darkmoon suggested. I also did that little paragraph as a kind of visual update to the readers as well. Just a reminder of the scars Shadowface bears and what she has been through.

Katanaheart - Shadowhunter stole his curse of pain so that no curse of pain (including him) could harm her or her kits. She still had the curse of fate, but given that Lionshadow's curse of pain was so much stronger, it overcame her own curse of fate. (once again this will become much more defined in the next chapter)

Let's hope this shows up. I'm taking these directly from my other social site. My group camped on the western rim of this structure (that you see in the picture) called the Solitario inside of Fresno Canyon. (You have to have four wheel drive to get here and back). The Solitario is what is left over after a Lacolith (a giant magma intrusion pushing through the crust from the mantle of the earth) erupted and threw back these giant plates (what you see in the picture are what are called "Flat Irons" and they are made completely out of limestone) and underwent more stress and folding from nearby mountain building and volcanic events. (There is a caldera in the middle of it but you have to go inside the Solitario to see it all; we could only see the flat irons and some folded beds above it) Basically draw lines from the edges of the flat irons and make a dome with your hands. That's where the top of the dome of the lacolith used to be. It's massive.

This mesa/mountain is called Rencon. We camped at a site called Rencon 2 which is within sight of Rencon. We hiked around the corner of this thing (to the right of the picture) up a creek that cut through an Arroyo (basically a canyon I think) called the Arroyo Segundo. The top of Rencon is covered by this rock called Trachyte which is the most common type of rock in far west Texas (Alpine, Marfa, Big Bend). The stuff is all over campus. It's basically basalt (common rock that makes up the earth's crust) that was erupted. FUN FACT: There are quite a few of un-erupted lacoliths around the area (you can spot them on google earth just look for circular scars) and the un-erupted version of Trachyte is called Cyanite!

A lot of the pictures hiking into the Arroyo have my camp mates/class mates in them so for privacy reasons I won't be showing them directly. This is toward the end of the hike up into Arroyo Segundo. Basically the rocks around us as we walked deeper into the Arroyo, got younger and younger. The end of the Arroyo was mostly massive cliffs/walls of Trachyte with some Fresno ash beneath. That smooth, wavy rock on the ground is where some of that Fresno ash/tuff pokes out. That was deposited from an eruption some 33 million years ago that covered a GIANT area. (I got more photos coming where you can see more of this layer exposed and get a real feel for the scope of this thing). The Arroyo ended at a waterfall (it was just trickling at the time) but apparently it's the second tallest in Texas. (I think you might need to fact check me). We stopped here for lunch. Overall the hike took 5 hours and we went 4 miles in total.

This is more of that Fresno ash/tuff that's been eroded in a really cool way. This is further away from Rencon following the creek out from the Arroyo.

Alright here is where the Fresno Tuff/ash bed becomes its thickest. This is just outside the park (I snapped this today) where you can see just HOW MUCH was deposited. It's believed that all of this ash/magma/debris flowed/erupted out in a SINGLE day. (I think my professor said it was something like 17,000 meters cubed in volume of ash?) Below is where it flowed out and left behind this giant plain/plateau. We drove on top of this deposit for several MILES.

And last picture of interest: the rock I got to take home! This is magma that has been rapidly cooled (which is why it's full of holes) and deposited by a smaller eruption from the Miocene (somewhere between 22 and 5 million years ago). Volcanoes are my favorite, so this trip was a special treat. I had a lot of fun (with some suffering of course haha).

If you ever get a chance you must go to Yellowstone National Park in Wyoming. That should be enough volcanoes to last you a while. x'D
It makes sense why Austrailia has no volcanoes, (it's in the center of a moving plate and there's no hot spots) though I wouldn't be surprised if you guys had some evidence of ash fall from previous eruptions in the phillipines. They've had massive eruptions, Krakatoa and Pinatubo are the largest in the most recent times.
It also depends on how the trade winds carry the ash too...but I'm pretty sure it was Krakatoa whose ash spread globally.
I was drooling too. I'm gong to be using a lot of these features for my world building.

I actually might get the chance to when I travel at the end of the year, so I’m keeping my fingers crossed!!
Yep, we have very little tectonic activity. There might be some evidence of ash, but if there is it’ll be up north, we’ll away from where I am. Everything over here is old. There’s quite a bit of tectonic activity over at New Zealand though, since it’s right on the plate boundary - and the ring of fire, if my geography is correct.
I’d love to see volcanoes at Hawaii, since they’re pretty active but the lava is slow moving, so I can get a good look (is it mafic lava or felsic lava? I want to say mafic, but I could be wrong.)

EEEK SO EXCITING!!
Old stuff is cool though! :'P And yeah that sounds right.
I'm petty sure it's mafic. Felsic lava is more exlosive. (Like Mt. Saint Helens).
I'm currently working out the geography and geology of the Clans of the Valley World. I think the entire continent itself is going to be very large ( a supercontinent much like Pangea was )
