» ѕнαdσω ⚔️Okay, okay. Headcanon that the cursed have drastically warmer skin/fur than average cats. Even when their heat or fire powers aren't active, they have a sort of warmth on their skin, almost like fever-level warm, but not quite. They still get cold during winter, but usually they can't feel it as strongly as a regular cat. During any cool-down period after using their pyrokinetic powers, they are nearly impossible to touch for a few minutes since they're quite literally steaming hot and are still capable of burning someone. Sometimes emotion affects this; say, if a cursed was angrily trudging through snow, the snow would hiss under their paws and instantly melt/vaporize.

Mᴏᴏɴ - - - Haha! That's actually the direction I'm going with the human version! Though I haven't thought of a "cool-down period". That I might steal from you. :'O That and also how emotions might affect them. I love the ideas!

Aw no! I hope everything's going ok!
Eh, still busy, really, and a little stressed, but otherwise ok. You know when you just feel drained? But I've been working a little bit on my worldbuilding today to give myself a bit of a break, which has been really fun and has helped with story development quite a bit.

Whelp. It seems my body is protesting. This morning when I was driving to work I started getting really bad heartburn and then nausea. Almost threw up multiple times. Today is a day of rest.
Everything's alright. I'm just adulting. Gotta work lots of long shifts. I've worked 9 to 5 for five straight days (one of them was an 8 to 4) and today was supposed to be another 9 to 5 but it didn't happen. I'm really, really happy to be home, even though I'm missing work. I hate working mind numbing jobs but I have to make money, you know? I can't pay for college, and my family sure can't either! And it's so frustrating because I want to work on my writing but I can't because everyday when I come home I'm so tired and my whole body hurts and its just not possible to write in that condition.
Yeah, I know that feeling all too well. It's good that you are giving yourself a break. World building is always fun!

That sounds awful Its good you're giving yourself time to rest, though.
Ugh, that sounds really tiring. Those are some long shifts, but yeah, you gotta make money, and if its helping pay for college, then I guess theres not much you can do about it. Except maybe win the lottery. Sometimes, the more I hear about adulting, the less I want to do it. Not being able to work on something you love is so frustrating, even more so when you don't have time, despite having all the motivation in the world. Its just awful.
World building is oddly relaxing XD I drew myself a proper map yesterday, and realised that what id been picturing in my head was completely wrong, and actually quite backwards. The way that I visualised the cities being laid out, the characters were going east instead of west, which is... not good. I'm happy to say that it has since been fixed! We're going in the proper direction again!

Yeah. I'll stand and day dream about my characters when I'm at work in the mornings when there aren't many customers. I'll imagine an epic fight breaking out on the floor, or a couple of cursed leaping from the balconies covered in flames lol. But I don't have anything to write with. I can't have my phone and I would get in trouble for doodling on sticky notes. Even though I'm training to be an assistant manager/shift leader now, my privileges are still limited like any other food service job. I'll try and hang on to those feelings when I get home, but the work drains me.
LOL, that sounds like something I would do. x'D That''s gotta feel good to have all that straightened out!
Speaking of world building, I finally figured out why I named the entry way through the mountains and into the valley "Ravens Pass". The rock on either side is stained in black soot, like there was a large fire. When you enter the pass the markings look like two giant ravens wings on either side. Pretty cool right?

Ugh, I feel you, man. That's so frustrating. I hate not having my writing materials with me - one of the reasons why I carry a notebook around when I'm not at school - because inspiration strikes at the strangest of times. I actually got in trouble for scripting a scene during biology the other day, but I thought of some excellent dialogue and just had to write it down. most days, thought, I'm reduced to desperately trying to remember exactly what I was thinking about so I can write it down when I get home, but its pretty hit-and-miss :/
It feels great XD Drawing everything out also really helped iron out some kinks with culture too, which is always fun to play with.
Ooh, that sounds awesome! I can imagine that really well, being both mysterious and foreboding. Ravens have such interesting symbolism, too.

Yeah, I have a notebook of my own. They are so handy. <3
I hate it when you get a great idea and it sips away from you. D'x
Oooh, culture! I'm still smoothing things out with Humanized Curse as well. It's mostly the nit picky details.
They do. Raven's are interesting creatures.

*drops Chapter 32 stuff* *brushes off dust* *goes back to writing* Find me where I drew my last breath, Where the snow laden pines wept their goodbyes, Where my lover’s eyes burned like wildfire, And spoke the words that undid my soul. Find me where she sent my heart to a dark cave of vengeance, Where none but I knew of the betrayal of the sun, And of how those eyes shook with cruelty, Instead of the love that I used to crave. Find me, And make me whole again.

Me too. You then spend hours trying to retrace your train of thought to find it again >.<
Nit-picking is fun! Its really interesting to see how culture differs dramatically in some regions of my fictional world. It helps with character development too - characters are starting to behave slightly differently based on where they're from.
They are...
