Free advice - never listen to the Hamilton soundtrack and write at the same time. All you get is pain. It started off writing fluffy interactions between OC's, but it got real painful real quickly.

It started when I realised one character had never visited her sisters grave, due to the timeline of the story, and then I started writing death scenes and it all went downhill...

@mintedstar/fur - LOL x'D Dingoleap - Yep. That sounds like me right there haha, except I was never uphill to begin with.  ☾ Cʀᴇsᴄᴇɴᴛ ☽ - Hey! And it's not random at all. You can ask me any questions about Curse: cat or human versions. (': It's going really well so far. I haven't written much book wise but I've been playing around with different scenes trying to get a feel for the human characters and the new descriptions I have to write for the village, the marketplace, and the camps. I also got to get used to describing clothing which is a pain. I don't know the specific names of clothing. I usually just say shirt/blouse, pants, skirt, dress, ect. Nothing fancy, so I'm trying to make up for it with detail and research. If you'd like I can share with you (and everyone else here) the latest mini project I'm working on for the series. It's not spoilers. I've been tinkering with the "beasts" of the series called Earathskin. I drew up some sketches and got most of their looks and "abilities" figured out. |

Yay, I can't wait to read it when you finish it. It's so cool that you plan on publishing it with humans. Haha, yeah that must be tough since with cats it's just, like, "she had black fur" and that's it. You don't have to describe it anymore.

Well, I'm afraid it could have gone much... much... better. The essay question in itself was great - it was pretty much exactly what I had been preparing for. The downside to that was that I had so many quotes, so many good points to make... what I'm getting at here is that I ran out of time. I didn't get to finish my final paragraph or write a conclusion. I have NEVER not finished an exam in my life, so I'm freaking out.
I'm just hoping that the earlier paragraphs were good enough for them to overlook it a bit....
But Shadow, id love to see what you've come up with!

 Ok so here was my first attempt done about a month ago. Was just trying to get a feel for it. It's terrible lol. Earathskins were the ones who gave the cursed their power. Unlike cursed though, Earathskins summon lightning! (Think Thunderbirds). |

 Here is the second attempt. Tried to get a top down view and a side view. Earathskins have two pairs of wings. The dominant pair which also act as the front legs (they fold) and the smaller pair that help with steering and maneuvering its massive body. At the end of their long tails they have a poisonous sharp barb. If you are injected with its poison your body will slowly rot and you will become a part of nature. (A tree, a patch of grass, a flower, ect.)  This is their eye up close. Their skin is covered in hard plated scales while they are crowned in feathers. |

Wow, that's so cool! I love mythical creatures, especially anything that flies and is big (i.e. dragons, i loooove dragons). But also dragons are cliche so good job for being super creative and coming up with your own creatures!

 For this one I did a head shot showing how the feathers would spread on its head and neck. Here is what I have written on it: - Four winged; 1st pair is twice the body length. Acts as front legs with taloned "hands". 2nd pair is half the size. Helps with maneuvering and balance.
- Skin is covered in hard scales.
- Long tail with a poisonous barb at the end. Can break off (very painful) but will grow back. Organisms affected with this poison BURN UP (not rot sorry) from the inside and become new growth for the environment.
- Mouth is a beak. Similar to birds of prey with a slight hook on the end.
- Long neck with raised feathers along its spine. Crown of feathers on the head.
- Can summon lightning by channeling energy through the momentum of its wings.
- When an Earathskin dies their bodies "meld" with the earth and become mountains. Their feathers shed and become seeds for plant life. Their lightning creates great storms.
- Their battles have left scars on the world. Large pits & yawning caves and valleys/lakes/crators.
- They can sleep and become dormant for long periods of time.
- A new Earathskin is born when another dies. (One dies and leaves behind an "egg")
And of course I can't forget my weird human Shadowface sketch with her weapons.  |

They look awesome, shadow! I love the side view! They're such interesting creatures, although all parts of the COTV world are. Or should I be calling it FOF now? XD

Dingoleap - Haha, CotV for cat version and FoF (Fate of Fire) for human series would help distinguish, but I honestly don't care either way. x'D Thank you! It means a lot coming from you, especially since your such a good artist. Speaking of, do you think you could tackle drawing an Earathskin? :'O
