And I'm freaking out.
It's on her belly, and it isn't exactly tiny. It's not large, but more like medium size? It's not visable on the surface, you have to put your finger over the spot to feel it.
She does have a cyst on her back that vets haven't made a big deal out of, but this one feels different then that.
She's a 8 year old Boston Terrier that came from a breeder. Now, I don't really remember anything about when we got her, but I know that one of her siblings has some health problems. For one example: The one sibling that we know of still has lost all of her teeth and I think is going blind at a rapid rate.
I might be over reacting... but she's the animal I've grown up with. Jade (My dog) is... so special to me.
She's going to get a vet visit scheduled tomorrow.
To get my mind off things, anyone want to chat a bit?

Good luck at the vet, hopefully your dog will get what she needs there. Do you know if it's common for her breed to get tumours?

I'm sure you're dog will be okay. The vet will know what to do, maybe it isn't a big dangerous tumor yet and they'll be able to remove or treat it before it does.

You just need faith I looked up mast cell tumors and from what you're describing, if it is the problem in the first place, then I bet she'll be okay <3 and who knows? It very well could just be a cyst or something else entirely. Either way, I hope your dog will be okay :3 does she seem to be in any pain?

It's no problem at all <3 If she shows no sign of pain or discomfort, then either she has nothing wrong at all, or it's so early it's not causing problems yet and the vet can treat it and everything will go back to normal <3 I have confidence everything will be fine for your little pupper But keep me updated anyways :3

what does it feel like? my dog has loads of lumps on her stomach, and we've had them checked out but they've all turned out just to be fatty lumps. they get common when your dog turns around 7

Like sea cat said, it's pretty common for your dog to get fatty lumps when they start getting older, so there's a good chance that that's what it is. My old dog had them too; he never behaved any differently, and the vet said that they weren't a problem.

I'll just respond to both posts in one.
The thing is, it doesn't rise above the surface if that makes sense? You can't see it at all, you have to press down where it is to find it. Maybe it's a fatty lump, but it doesn't seem like it from looking at pictures.

Either way you should probably get it checked out just to be safe. My sister had a dog that had had multiple fatty lumps that weren't that bad but when she was 3, she was diagnosed with advanced cancer and died three weeks later. Hate to worry you, but you can't play around with this stuff. My dog started having digestive problems but we shrugged it off, we thought it was just something he ate. But a couple of weeks later we had to take him to the vet. He had pancreatiitis badly, was dehydrated and dying. He lived, thank God, our vet's a miracle worker, but I'm always overly cautious now because you never know. o.o Oh gosh that sounds terrible. Trust me, my dog is sent straight to a vet if she's showing signs of sickness. (Which almost never happens, but you get my point.)
