Shadowheart stood up from her spot in the sun and stretched. No reason to hang around here and do nothing. She trotted toward the entrance and out of the camp. She listened to the area around her for even the slightest noise of prey.

Spiritwing followed after his leader. He scented the air but still couldn't figure out what the smell was. It seemed almost familiar, but he couldn't figure out just what it was. Hopefully it's something we don't need to worry about..

Shadowheart took are large whiff of the air and noticed the scents of both her leader and medicine cat. Curiosity getting the best of her, she trotted in the direction of their scents, still keeping an eye out for prey.

zero Honeystripe had just returned from a lone hunting trip, her pads a little sore from a small chase. The prey almost barely escaped her claws, but luckily she manged to catch two mice for the Clan's fresh-kill pile. Padding across the grassy clearing, Honeystripe dropped of her catches, and saw Shortheart past by with a squirrel in her jaws. "Hello Shortheart," she mewed

swiftstormWhite storm caught a scent and turned to Nightshade. "Hey I think I scent a rabbit near here." The white tom followed it's scent trail wanting to find and kill this prey that he scented out.

Frostpaw blinked. He really didn't think he would get such a strong response. There wasn't foxes and badgers just waiting outside of camp, right? His tail twitched as a sudden spark of excitement mixed with thrill started. He liked to think himself as steady but, for some reason, he had always wanted to see a badger and a fox. He wanted to see everything the forest and meadow beyond had to offer. The young apprentice knew he couldn't though. What Oatpaw had said made him guess the forest wasn't any sort of the tranquil area he had come to expect from his two trips. He wouldn't be a mousebrain and run off into danger. He frowned as he looked away from the trees and to his paws. He snuck a glance at Oatpaw. Oatpaw was going to be a warrior in just a moon, maybe even less, so maybe he could lead Frostpaw around. The tom brightened up, the frown disappearing from his face. "Do you have anything to do today?" He asked, with a slight hint of hope. He looked at the other tom with pale eyes filled with hope.
Shortheart stopped. The orange she-cat smiled at her clanmate. She was glad to have found Honeystripe out here. It was lonely hunting alone. "Heya. Good hunt?" She asked, flicking a tail to the two mice. She padded closer to Honeystripe with the squirrel still in her jaws.

Spiritwing was able to figure out what the scent was when it got stronger. It made the fur along his spine stand on end. He had never actually seen a fox before, but he knew the scent because he'd sometimes find old fox dens in the meadow when he went there to collect herbs. He was hoping now wouldn't be his first time seeing one.. "Okay.." he responded quietly, glancing around quickly, his mismatched eyes wide.

Shadowheart stopped suddenly when she spotted the two, then the scent hit her. Her eyes widened ever so slightly as she watched the two. A small growl rose in the back of her throat, her fur standing on end. She stood still as she waited to see what Spiritwing and Heatherstar would do.

Heather star backed away slowly, trying her best to keep her fur down as she tried to keep the two together. She froze, hearing a twig snap, and suddenly the sent was so strong that her eyes were watering. She could hear the low growl of the russet colored animal, and could see its fur in the bushes.

His breath hitched when he heard the deep growl. Spiritwings gaze followed his leaders and he stiffened when he saw a large fox step out of the bushes, it's lips pulled back in a snarl, revealing a row of sharp teeth. It's black eyes glinting with hunger as its' gaze locked on the two cats. "What are we going to do?" he whispered to Heatherstar, his voice trembling slightly.

She mewed happily "And I see you've caught something too."

Shortheart couldn't help but to puff out her chest like an apprentice. The squirrel had been a lucky catch but no one needed to know that. She dropped the squirrel and coughed. "Fur." She explained, still trying to clear her throat. She nodded after she had finally stopped. "Yeah. Want to try hunting together? I'll go low; you go high?" She joked lightly.
Frostpaw shuffled his paws and dropped his gaze. They had gone everywhere on the first day. His paws had felt like they were going to fall off. Not like he complained or anything. Heatherstar was the leader and must have chosen him as an apprentice for some special reason.Even after that fact, he wasn't sure where things were in the territory. The directions all were mixed up in his head. Was the meadow south or north? Where was the river? He felt like a mousebrain. "Umm, mostly walking and some hunting practice. I think we also had some fighting practice." He recalled. Even if his fighting was pathetic, they still did it. He couldn't lie about that. "I would like to get a closer look at the Whispering river." He said with a hint of excitement seeping into his voice. He looked up to meet Bogpaw's amber eyes.

Shadowheart's eyes widened at the sight of the fox. The other two hadn't noticed that she was there yet, maybe she could get them out of there. Still being a good 15 yards away from them, Shadowheart slowly made her way toward a tree. She climbed to the lowest banch and leaped to another tree that was still a couple yards away from the two. Taking in a small breath, she leaped down over the fox, claws outstretched, attempting to land on its back.
If ya'll don't like this I can change it if you wish, not really used to RPing as a cat anymore xP)

Spiritwing gave her a shocked look. She didn't actually plan on taking on the fox by herself did she? Even if the medicine cat did agree to go for help, his leg would slow him down and he would probably not get help in time. He opened his mouth to protest but before he could say a single word a cat that seemed to come from nowhere landed on top of the fox and the hostile creature yelped in shock, thrashing around and trying to snap at its' attacker. "Shadowheart!" Spiritwing immediately recognized the cat. He felt a rush of relief, he wouldn't have leave Heatherstar to get help now.

My paws are killing me, and I need a rest." (I'm a little bit busy today, but I'll be active this weekend! Sorry for the short post!)
