Shadowheart laid stretched out in a patch of sun dozing. Her ears twitched every now and then, listening to the clan around her. It was strange for her to be deputy, currently to her it felt as if she were still just a regular warrior. Whats so great about being a deputy? She thought to herself. Shrugged drozily, she rolled over onto her side, stretching out more.

Frostpaw just nodded to Oatpaw's words, even if he didn't agree with him. The other apprentice only had a half of a moon left to his training and he was allowed to go out alone to train. Frostpaw always had to have someone watching him. His neck fur prickled at the thought. But he didn't want to get into a fight with Oatpaw, so he kept his mouth shut. He just started to groom his fur.

The Tom shook out his fur, debris falling from his pelt, before settling back down. "I wonder where our mentors are, anyways." He commented thoughtfully.

Shortheart dragged the squirrel as she made her way back to camp. It was a lucky catch; the squirrel had been distracted by a leaf. She had been able to dart forwards and snap its neck. The orange warrior was still quite proud. Her tail was high in the air. Her head was also held high but more in an attempt to not let the squirrel drag.
Frostpaw sat down before using a paw to move the vines aside. He glanced around camp. To his surprise and, if he had to admit it, joy, there were very little cats. This meant that he wouldn't have to make small talk or get roped into a patrol. The knot in his stomach unraveled. His tail flicked and he smiled. This might give him an opportunity to explore the territory. If what Oatpaw said was right, then Heatherstar couldn't disapprove. And the tom itched to explore the forest and see the river and mountains closer. Maybe he could even make it to the twoleg place. "Well, I'm going to go." He said, awkwardly feeling the need to say something before leaving.
