We could just walk them to the forest. but if you want to skip that's fine) (There's not much to say on a walk, and it's easier to skip them because scenes like that usually take forever and don't impact on the story much.)

I mean, you can always figure out something to say. Sometimes me characters go on random walks with others)

Liberty shivered once they reached the shadow of the trees. These towered high over her and made her feel tiny. Woodrow saw her shudder and pressed his downy pelt against her side. He felt funny doing so, given he'd never shared affection with any dog before, much less a female. He noticed his coat was so matted it was almost dreadlocked. It sheeted down his sides so that it almost reached his feet, his tail just as furry, lined with long plumages.
Woodrow moved away from Liberty, stance oblique, and nibbled on his fur aslant, ripping off downy hairs by the tuft. The hair tasted weird in his mouth, and he spat it out with distaste.

Liberty glanced at him curiously and continued walking into the forest

"Wait!" he grumbled, matching her pace and appearing alongside her. He dug through the thick mulch, still moist from the rainfall, and crunched down a beetle. He swerved to the right. He wasn't looking for any particular trail, hoping by default to stumble across something by chance. His new short fur, albeit tufty, proving less of a burden, he felt a little more free.
A toad lay in a mud puddle, its weird chin pulsating with breath. Woodrow grabbed it in his mouth and crunched down on its hide. He slammed his paws down on it, firmly pinning it down, and ripped into its belly.

"Good catch," Liberty told the other dog. She wasn't too sure of this whole hunting thing after seeing that but kept going "Thanks," Woodrow told her, settling down in the leaves. He figured the toad wouldn't do much for him in the long run, but at least he'd captured anything at all.
"Want to share?" he invited, backing away from the frog's corpse. He felt miscreant for exposing his rightful catch to all that could snatch it, but it wasn't like coyotes were that difficult to kill anyway.

Liberty followed Woodrow onto the porch and sat down. Pandora smiled. "If you want, I'll let Broomstone know about your desire to be a patroller?" (btw, whenever possible, can Pandora rp with Brimstone soon?) Yeah, as soon as I get the romance in that I promised Mongie. ]]
"That would be great! I hope that a little tip like that and the few skills I have can carry me through the tests that he has for me." The little dog leaned into Pandora's leg, for that was about as tall as she came. "Thank you so much!"

Pandora smiled. "You're very welcome. I asked him to come for a walk with me tomorrow. I'll tell him then," She said

I don't know why, Lad is kind of inconsistent to me but I guess Brim softened him)

"Sure," Liberty said shyly, "you can have first bite." "Please." Woodrow looked into her eyes sardonically. "I've already had first bite—second and third too." He indicated the half-eaten toad with his snout, its scaly hide pallid with lifelessness. "Take the rest. It's not much anyway. We need bigger food."

Liberty nodded and quickly ate. Her belly squirmed at the weird taste. She was only really used to canned food.

"Oh, dang. You know that thing bears do?" Woodrow bounded to a broad oak and rubbed his back against it. "I can finally do that without weird looks thrown my way. You know, to get literal." Woodrow dropped to the ground and flailed madly in the leaves. "After this, I'll smell even worse!" He closed his mouth against the frangible tide of crackly leaves that deluged his small, furry body.

Liberty raised her eyebrow. This dog was rather strange. "ok.. whatever floats your boat," she said, looking confused. She did however have to stifle a giggle as his fur stuck up in every direction

Give him another, quick but passionate lick, he gently bit his ear. Suddenly, as if someone had snapped him with a rubber band, Brimstone got off of Lad, looking embarrassed.
"We should focus on getting food. Night will come soon, and we don't know what is in the forest these days." "Who cares about food?" Lad said, pressing his head to Brimstone's chest and closing his eyes. "That can come later. And don't be embarrassed . . . This is a special moment. Just . . ." Lad nibbled at Brimstone's neck. " . . . relax." He gave Brimstone a gentle shove with his shoulder. "Catch me if you can!" he teased, the took off toward a scraggly cluster of weeds poking forth from the concrete, brittle and dry. Brimstone gently grabbed hold of Lad's velvety ear in his teeth, gently tugging. A playful smirk hit his face when Lad broke free, and dashed away from the fountain. Tracing where he was heading, he sprinted towards the weeds, skidding to keep up, his claws skittering over the concrete. A joyful howl echoed from his chest, and as he tried to turn to head Lad off, his paws flew out from under him, like a dog on newly polished floor.
Crashing into Lad in a tangle of fur and limbs, tooth and ears, he rolled him over and over the hard concrete. Giving him another sloppy lick that ran from his neck to the tip of his muzzle, he let out a happy whine.

Woodrow hopped up, leaves showering over him, and preened his coat messily. His head flew back with apprehension as he sensed an animal—a small, wriggling one. He dropped down and beckoned for Liberty to follow.

Liberty caught sight of a mouse and chased after it. She was good at catching those; often had she caught them for her human who, strangely, never seemed to appreciate those gifts. She caught it swiftly and trotted back to Woodrow
(My Reesie did that all the time. Drove me nuts! Sorry if I talk about my dog too much.. I really miss her cause I moved and left her with my mom and rping a character based off her doesn't help)

"You have been conquered!" he cried out triumphantly, swiftly standing back up.

Liberty looked at him in shock then picked up some leaves with her paws and threw them at him, giggling in amusment "You've done it now." Woodrow tumbled for an instant to ram against her, his ears smashed under his own weight as his head made contact with the ground. He leaned his weight to the side, leaves crunching beneath, and rolled off her lightly. He darted off in a full run, not anticipating her vengeance.

Woodrow felt the breath pounded from his lungs. Liberty's elbow jabbed into his neck. He laughed, air collecting in a lump inside his throat. His coat filthy, mud hanging from each strand, he dropped into a playful crouch, and then sprang.

@shootforthestars 's characters are now open—April and Blitz. If nobody else takes them, I will. Why not just delete them? and she was on yesterday) She's dropping the roleplay. And since there are two valuable vacancies, I might as well advertise them. There's no point in throwing them in the garbage instantly. They both have a place here too.
