Silentflare isn't trying to raise your kits, I don't think he cares how you raise them but that was his way of explaining not to be rude. If you're just going to sit here and make excuses I'm not going to help."

Yarrowcloud sighed, giving in.
"I know, I know, okay? I'm thankful for your help. I don't know where to start. Look, I'll figure it out, okay? Just...just let's go back to camp." He turned, padding back towards camp with a twist in his heart. Nothing really had changed. He still felt tired beyond belief. He wanted to sleep.

Lightningstar let out a huff. He was too weak to help himself, expecting everyone to change around him. He followed after, silent.

"Thanks again. For coming. And believeing in me. You didn't have to..." Yarrowcloud thanked quietly, not sure what else to say. It wasn't Lightningstar's fault that Featherkit was gone forever. Nor was it anyone else's. He stood strong suddenly. He'd find a sign to search for Featherkit if it killed him.
"I meant it when I said I'd die for this clan. My emotions ain't gonna change that. I'm not going to dissapoint you anymore." He promised, moving a bit faster.

Yarrowcloud knew if he was going to try and lift his own spirits, he had to focus on the happy things. He forced the tiredness from his heart and stood a bit more energetic. He asked.
"My kits'll be apprentices soon, they'll be 6 moons within a few days. Bloomkit'll be a delight, but I can tell Darkkit's gonna be the natural here. Petalkit's got a softness to her. She'll gon and get attached, but that's mighty fine." He liked talking about his remaining kits.
"I'll be happy to be in the same den as Shadowblossom again...hey now, ain't your new litter due soon?" He questioned. Talking was his way of coping.

"Ain't that exciting! Shoot old tom, you ain't as old as I thought you were." Yarrowcloud replied, sounding a little back to his old self, with his playful taunts and brave words. He just had to think of the happy things. Happy. It was hard but he didn't want to keep letting his clan down.

"Ain't nothing wrong with gettin' older though. More wisdom, all that stuff. Blackberry was old as a stone and I think I looked up to her more than most of the others." Yarrowcloud remembered fondly. She had versed him in the ways of storytelling. He spoke.
"I shouldn't be talkin, should I? You're not that much older than I am, are ya? Starclan, am I senior warrior yet?" He joked.

Lightningstar flicked his tail. "I'm a bit older than you. I was a new warrior when you were born." He looked at him. "Or just about at least. And no you aren't oldest enough yet." He said with a twitch of his whiskers.

"Well, I'm hoping one day I'll be the largest cat in this here clan. Peachdapple beats me every moon. Done brags about it too." He huffed, good-natured.

Opalpaw padded after her mentor her eyes glowing with happiness. She loved the moonstone knowing this path she took was the better one.
