Eclipsesky nodded, "How could we have been so stupid to forget about Harmonysong's warning in the past?" he gritted out, his tail lashing as he began to pace. "Their bodies were laying in a meadow. A meadow stands between. There was a river of blood flowing between them." the tom stopped, "no.. a brook. Meadowbrook."

Eclipsesky dug his claws into the ground. "Who else could it be Dawnshadow? And who orchestrated Stormfury being exiled? Meadowbrook! And the fights between the tunnelers and moor runners? She's always been in the middle of that as well! How could I have been so blind?"

Lavendersky slowly made her way towards the Moonstone, following the familiar path she had crossed a million times. She was careful walking along, her paws not as steady as they used to be.

Spiderpaw remained at Lavendersky's side. He didn't admit it, but he was worried about her. The trek from their territory was the longest compared to the other medicine cats and Lavendersky was not as young as she used to be. Spiderpaw kept to her side and mostly focused his attention on her. He didn't want to think about what this gathering would entail. The last one didn't even result in StarClan warning them of the fire. He didn't think their warrior ancestors would have much to say tonight. Not to mention, he knew he'd, again, be the only 'paw.

(Yeah XD poor Spider got left behind, but we can chalk it up to Lavendersky's age, the fire, and AdderClan for why it hasn't been done. I've had a med cat apprentice become med cat in half a moon and one finally become one after several seasons. it's fitting XD)

(haha XD Mine is just a cheating reborn cat because I was to lazy to create a new one, so whatever works!)
Lavendersky gave a small huff and stopped in the middle of the path, growing weary all the sooner. "Ha...This path always seems to get longer..." She grumbled as she turned her head about, listening to the sounds of the world around her. She could vaguely hear other cats in the distance, what she believed were the other medicine cats, but it was harder to tell. She used to be able to distinguish each one in turn, now she could barely hear them.

"We're almost there." Spiderpaw lightly nudged his mentor. "I think I hear Peachdapple up ahead. She might ask you to give Aspenfall a few pointers again." He flicked his ear. He wouldn't be surprised if they were the last ones to arrive. I need to do better, Spiderpaw flattened his ears. Aspenfall had become a full medicine cat moons ago and he had been a fox-dunged warrior to start! If Spiderpaw did better at his duties, Lavendersky would make him a full medicine cat, and there would be no uncertainty in SkyClan's future should she pass unexpectedly. I will do better, Spiderpaw silently nodded to himself. He'd prove to Lavendersky that he was ready and at the next half moon maybe...
"How much you want to bet Eclipsesky asks Snowdance about Stormfury?" Spiderpaw kept causal conversation. He didn't want Lavendersky to feel like he was impatient. "He does it every half moon. I saw them talking together at the last gathering too."

Lavendersky tipped her head towards him, "Peachdapple speaks so loudly, the birds in Skyclan can hear her." She shook her head, ear twitching a bit. Granted, that was coming from a cat with overly sensitive hearing. "And I have no doubt about that, it is always a constant, not that I have any room to speak." She said, usually asking about Cliffheart, or another cat she knew well.

Lavendersky turned her head towards him before shakily getting to her paws and stretching. "A mute medicine cat would be quite something." She said, remembering Eaglecry, how being deaf had made him retire and return to warrior duties.
