Eclipsesky nodded back to his apprentice "Then by the powers of Starclan I give you your true name as a medicine cat. Dawnpaw from this moment on you will be known as Dawnshadow. Starclan honors your persistance, faith and spirit and we welcome you as a full medicine cat of Windclan."

Dawnshadow let out a small purr. Finally! She was a full medicine cat of Windclan. She bowed her head a moment.

Dawnshadow settled down at the rock. She touched her nose to the moonstone and fell asleep. She awoke in Starclan.

Beetleclaw watched from afar, his dark pelt now glossy and free of his old scars. His blue eyes were saddened though, conflicted and pained as he gazed at Dawnshadow and Cloversong.

Cloversong chuckled softly "Sorry you probably don't know who I am, I am Cloversong, a former deputy under Scarstar. You know my daughter Fallowmeadow yes? And Harmonysong was also my daughter before she joined me in Starclan. I give you a warning young one. Something is hiding in your clan, Harmonysong's death is not what it seems." With that the she-cat started to fade.

His voice was subdued and pained, even as health and youth rippled in his starry black pelt. He swallowed. “You must tell the clan, no accident...and no fox took our lives. I know what I saw...who I saw, I cannot say for certain...but it was no fox.” The black tom began fading as well, voice choked with misery as he mewed. “Tell Heathersky I love her, and that it wasn’t her fault...she will do wonderful things, with her life.” |
