The senior warrior wasn’t ready to give up her warrior duties just yet, but knew that she should probably take it easy. "There you are." Talltalon rumbled a greeting as he spotted Leopardshadow, padding his way over to her. He nudged his head against her side in his usual greeting, before dropping the lizard at her paws. "This is for you. I was hoping I'd find something better, but today's just an off day for hunting, I suppose." He sighed, gruff but apologetic.

Leopardshadow purred a greeting to her mate and looked at the lizard, “That’s okay, this will work just fine.” She mewed, licking his shoulder, “Would you like to share?”

"Mm. I'll take one bite. I'm not too hungry, and I'd rather you have most of it, but I know if I'll say no, you'll probably insist." Talltalon mused, though his whiskers twitched with a knowing humor as he looked at his mate. He nodded for her to take the first bite though, glancing at her stomach a few times. "...You won't show for a while, huh?" He asked curiously.

We can handle four tiny kits.” "Yes, but four kits aren't Warriors from other clans in battle. They grow up and need constant guidance and attention, and what if we teach them the wrong things? What if they resent me, or think I'm cold-hearted, or-..." Talltalon took in a deep breath, not one to lose his composure so easily, even as he felt a wave of nervousness at the thought of his own kits coming to despise him somehow.

Leopardshadow rested her tail tip on Talltalon’s shoulder as a way to calm her mate down, “They will love you, and you’ll be the perfect father. They won’t come to resent you or anything like that.” She reassured him.

Spottedpaw shook out his fur, trying to wake himself up a bit more. "The territory is like what I remember from when we came back from the fire, just a lot bigger. And, Lynxdapple is amazing! I'm so happy he's my mentor. How do you like Thistlestalk? Is he a good mentor too?" "Thistlestalk is the best!" Fuzzypaw meowed, her eyes glittering. "He's just so sure, and calm, and he never underestimates me!" Ducking her head shyly, she glanced to the side. "Honestly, when I'm with him, it's almost like I know how it feels to have family, you know?" After a pause, she shook out her fur. "Did Lynxdapple show you the marshes past the forest? They're kind of far away, so maybe not..."

Spottedpaw scooted closer to Fuzzypaw, placing his tail on her shoulder, "That's what clanmates are for, I know they're not technically your kin, but we're a big family of sorts. I always thought Thistlestalk was quiet and kinda bossy. I'm glad he's a good mentor to you. And the marshes? I don't think so. Not yet at least. What are they like?'

Thistlestalk picked up the pace to stay alongside Poppyflame, glancing over at the she-cat every few seconds. His heart raced a bit faster at the thought of confessing his feelings to her crossed his mind. She surely couldn't feel the same though, could she? Thistlestalk sighed quietly, looking back towards their destination, "Now that newleaf is here, do you think Cedarstar is going to give Fourtrees back at the next gathering?"

“I’m not sure.” Poppyflame mewed, glancing back at Thistlestalk before quickly looking away again. “I don’t think the other leaders will even allow another moon of us holding onto Fourtrees. And I guess it depends on how long until more prey starts retuning, so it’s hard to say what Cedarstar will do.”

Thistlestalk flicked his ear, anxiety for the next gathering radiating off of him as they approached the clearing. "I hope Cedarstar announces the plan before we go. I really don't want Fuzzypaw to be there unsupervised if there might be a fight. She's too young."

Thistlestalk smiled warmly as his thoughts traveled back to his recent training sessions with Fuzzypaw, "She's a quick learner. I'm going to be honest, I wasn't sure how training her was going to go. She's so energetic and different than I am. But, I think we complement each other nicely. Maybe the next kits to be apprenticed you'll get to be a mentor too. That would be fun wouldn't it? To hold training together?"

Fuzzypaw let a small purr escape her. "Falcontalon said something similar, you know," she meowed. "I'm so happy I'm here." She tilted her head, thinking hard about the marshes -- she hadn't been there since just after the fire, but had seen them in passing. It was hard to describe them. Now that she thought about it, they were in the opposite direction of any other Clans' territories, and they wouldn't be going toward the Twoleggedplace... Rising to her paws, she lowered her voice to a whisper. "What if I just showed you?"

(I'm heeere. Anyone got anyone open?)
Goldberry spoke softly with Honeypaw, helping his son get into a more comfortable hunter's crouch, though Honeypaw didn't take long to catch on. No matter how he felt about Oakstalk, it was clear that Honeypaw had an incredibly skilled mentor, and one that could keep up with his son's sharp ambitions. Honeypaw followed each instruction without a noise of complaint, determined to look as perfect as he could. Coalpaw joined them after a few moments, surprising Goldberry with how well he seemed to have improved over the past moon. Coalpaw's clumsiness seemed to be far less prominent. Had he been going out more with other Warriors now that it seemed Ashrock could never train him?
Burninghope shared her crow with Rustlepaw, humored by the way the blind apprentice seemed to prefer feeling the bird's feathers over eating it. Rustlepaw never seemed to complain, nor did she ever seem down. Burninghope admired her drive and optimism, even when she knew her blindness must have made things difficult.
Lightkit stalked around carefully, wanting to sneak up on her brother this time. Leaffrost watched her with a silent trill of humor, able to make out Lightkit's pale pelt rather easily in the freshly regrown camp foliage. She did not interfere though, wanting her darling kits to be as stealthy yet youthful as they could be before they were too old to be her darling little kits anymore. She looked around, hoping to speak to Ratmask for a little bit.

Ashrock was laying out herbs outside of Snowdance's den. His ears were back in his distaste for the task, but otherwise, he looked as if he accepted that his fate was to be stuck in the medicine den. He glanced over at Coalpaw when he noticed his apprentice practicing the crouch with Goldberry and Honeypaw. He tried not to let his gaze linger, but it hard not too. Coalpaw's footwork wasn't perfect, but it was certainly acceptable enough to get hunt done. Maybe next time he was able to sneak out with Coalpaw they'd work on how the apprentice could be faster while stealthy.
Tumblefoot was frowning uneasily outside the warriors den. His ears were tilted back as he kept glancing into the den. He was supposed to go on a hunt with Cliffheart and a couple others, yet the senior warrior wasn't getting out of his nest.
Longkit was grooming his fur and distracted by the thinner areas of his pelt. Thank StarClan leafbare was over, he had been freezing the entire time. Guess that's one thing Ratmask did for me, he thought bitterly. He gave me his furless pelt.

Coalpaw tried his best, though inwardly he knew that he was nowhere close to Honeypaw's pristine form. Even with full training, he knew he probably wouldn't be, but that curl of frustration had come to start to break through his boundless optimism. He wanted to train with Ashrock without it being a big secret! Goldberry was too perceptive though, noticing his son's frustrations. "...I can see that you're practicing, but you need a mentor." He sighed.
"I have one! But Cedarstar won't let him train me! Ashrock's built alot like I am. Who else is gonna mentor me properly?" Coalpaw complained, though he did not meet his father's concerned eyes.
Burninghope, catching notice of Tumblefoot's expressions across camp, could not fight the curiousity within her. She nodded to Rustlepaw. "You can finish the bird. I need to go take care of something, alright?" The young Warrior stood to her paws, padding quickly over to her best friend. "You look a little worried. Everything okay?"
Lightkit nestled into position, trying to remember exactly what Whorlpaw had showed her before. She lifted her back legs a bit, before sticking her tongue out with deep focus. Timing her pounce, she shot from her hiding spot towards her brother with a loud noise of attack. "Sneak attack!" She exclaimed.

Ashrock flicked his ear and mildly sighed when he spotted Coalpaw's outburst. He couldn't hear what his apprentice said, but he could guess what it was about. Ashrock glanced back toward the leader's den. Rustlepaw was laying across the camp, so Cedarstar must either be in his den or on a patrol--he swore his brother never stopped. Would it do any good to speak with Cedarstar about getting out of the medicine den or would it all be in vain?
Tumblefoot smiled at Burninghope in greeting, but he shrugged and his smile faded at her question. "I'm not sure. Cliffheart is usually always up for a patrol, but ever since the fire...I don't know, he's not getting up and we're supposed to go hunting."
Longkit yelped when his sister suddenly got him from behind. His ears pinned back when his chin hit the ground and he was about to snap in anger when he realized it was Lightkit. StarClan, was he that distracted that his own sister could sneak up on him?! "Good one," he muttered.

He stood to his paws, swallowing down the nerves he felt before he spoke firmly. “Alright. Honeypaw, please go show Crystalpaw what I’ve taught you. I...” He looked at Coalpaw, who seemed startled by his father’s sudden seriousness. “I need to speak with Cedarstar.” The large golden tom turned then, aiming his sight on the leader’s den. Starclan, it had been so hard to steel up enough to speak to any leader ever since...well, for many moons. Would he be able to get the right words out? Burninghope looked concerned at that, her eyes glistening. She turned her head towards the Warrior’s den before she decided. “Come on. Let’s go wake him up then. I’ll join your patrol, if you’ll let me.” “I did it! I did it!” Lightkit squealed with delight. Finally! She snuck up on Longkit! She quickly hopped off of her brother, not wanting to hurt him on accident. She bounced on her toes, giggling. “Thanks! I tried to be as stealthy as you!”

Ashrock flattened his ears when he saw Goldberry get up and start toward Cedarstar's den. That wasn't good. However, he supposed if anyone was going to get their ears shredded it might as well be Goldberry--the tom certainly had to be used to it with everything he had been through. Ashrock turned his attention back to the herbs he was laying out. StarClan, he hoped Goldberry didn't somehow make things worse.
Cedarstar was resting in his den after a long border patrol; however, he didn't allow himself to fall asleep. As much as he appreciated the dreams involving the blind apprentice and how he could use them train Rustlepaw, some of his dream were...well...darker.
"He's awake, he's just..." Tumblefoot flicked his ear, but followed after her anyway. "You're always welcome on my patrols, Burninghope."
"You were certainly quiet." Longkit twitched his whiskers in light amusement toward his sister. "I'm not that much stealthier than you, Lightkit. You'll probably surpass me before long."

Are you busy at the moment?” He asked, praying to Starclan that he hadn’t just awoken the younger tom. He could practically feel Coalpaw’s gaze burning into his back, though Goldberry knew that he needed a mentor, even if it had to be a cat other than Ashrock. Even if his heart was racing at the prospect of doing anything to upset his leader. “Oh...I see. Maybe we can cheer him up.” Burninghope murmured, understanding now what Tumblefoot was talking about. A sympathetic look filled her eyes as she nudged her way into the Warrior’s den. She glanced at Tumblefoot before she looked around for Cliffheart’s nest, close to the center of the den. “Oh, no way. You’re the stealthiest cat in the clan.” Lightkit shook her head, purring as she complimented her brother. “Your fur makes no noise at all when you move! And mama says that you’re so quiet that she loses you in her fur sometimes!” She giggled, before crouching playfully. “Wanna play tag?”

Spottedpaw's eyes widened, his tail twitching in nervous energy, "Aren't we going to get in trouble going out alone?" he hissed quietly. Fuzzypaw flicked her tail-tip back and forth idly. "I mean...we won't be alone if we have each other, right?" she perked up, pleased by her own loophole. "And anyways, it's in the opposite direction of the other Clans, so we won't run into any patrols. We can hunt while we're out, too!" she meowed. Heart flipping in her chest, she slid from the den. Technically, she apprentices weren't supposed to go from camp without a warrior. But the prey had been scarce, and with new kits, the Clan needed all the hunters it could get. Beckoning with her tail to Spottedpaw, she padded through the back entrance to the camp, toward the dirtplace.
