Due to the issues this forum has been facing recently and in the past, we have come to the conclusion that we should have come to from the beginning.
All discrimination that is aimed towards any group of people will NOT be tolerated. As staff members, we realize that the rule currently in place for discrimination has been poorly upheld.
Offensive comments that insult, mock or discriminate against a group of people will be deleted and the user making such comments will receive a 20% warning level increase per comment.
This includes roleplays & group threads.

Due to recent events; the staff of WCRF have made the decision to increase our warning percentages. We will be cracking down on homophobic/anti-LGBT users as another result as the discourse that has been developing upon our site in the past few weeks. We would like to remind our users that discrimination against another member is prohibited; and treating another with respect is a priority here at WCRF.

I just hope this works to fix the problem.
One question though:
There are rps that allow same sex relationships. What will happen to those?
The rule says nothing against same sex things but I was curious to see if there was a fine print or something

Yes, they'll be staying up unless otherwise is stated. They too have to follow the rules just like each individual does.
As for ones that don't, I'll need to check with the rest of staff. |

I think since those up before the rule should be allowed  ➳in the old forums, threads could not have rules that went against the forum rules or ghost rules, which weren't even explicitly stated. I think threads baring certain groups here with warning and time to change their policy shouldn't have much trouble transitioning.
For example, if someone said "no Jewish characters allowed in this rp!" or "no Hispanic characters please!" I'm sure they would also be taken down. This isn't only for LGBT |

Yes I'm aware it isn't only for LGBT. I'm not against anything but I don't think deleting an rp for breaking a rule that wasn't a rule when the rp was made isn't a good idea

I'm sure the mods aren't so unreasonable as to just smite a few roleplays based on a rule they just recently made |

They wouldn't be deleted as soon as they're found; they would be warned to change their rules. If they don't comply, then further actions will be taken.

Honestly.. the rule talks about offensive comments. I don't really see not wanting certain things in your rp to be offensive if you pass it off the correct way. I mean if I had an African rp I wouldn't want white characters you know? I feel like the same goes for LGBT. And if this rule is preventing discrimination doesn't it seem a bit hypocritical to delete rps that only want certain things? If the rp is rude about it, I totally agree to warn them and possible delete.

Like I said, I wouldn't delete it. The RP would be discriminating if it said: "no LGBT characters" unless there was a good enough reason that it would not be deleted for such as what you said for an African RP. |
