"You sure I just haven't been holding back? I wouldn't waste all my energy on a rouge." Turtlesong purred, it was true, but she also hoped it would make him doubt himself a bit. She continued onward, using a little more energy to speed forward, almost gliding from branch to branch.

Rush laughed lightly at Sparrow's reaction and then moved his gaze back to Mint when she asked him a question. He shrugged, "There was a storm last night, he stayed in the tree, I stayed in the brush. Today is my day to hunt, I left early, when I came back this was happening." He expalined lightly. "I assume he was just resting in the tree and they came along and tried to make him leave by acting tough. Those type of cats get on his nerves. He probably gave a few snippy remarks and started a fight. Then, being Lasher, he makes them angrier because thats his fighting stratgy and now he's finishing the fight up, I guess" Rush finished the explaination with another shrug.

Lasher shrugged and trotted along after her, not using the energy to keep up. She seemed to be waiting on him anyway. "You were weren't trying you would still protect yourself and you wouldn't leave your back wide open like you did" He said with a smirk, "I'm not that stupid"

All right, she actually hadn't expected him to land on her back earlier, but there was no way she'd admit it. "You're smarter than I thought little rouge," She said, slowing down because it seemed like he was in no rush to catch up with her.

"You're brother is very rash." Mint replied. She could see Sparrow soaking the conversation in. They didn't speak to many cat, especially toms. Rush wasn't bad though and the young cat did need to see some tom behavior, despite Mint's reserves about it.

(Hey, I was thinking, there could perhaps be something going on with the loners, and the Clan cats present could go off with them or something... or something like that. For a plot and all.)
Greyfoot walked towards the Clan's border and up to Rush. He kept silent, but gave him a questioning look. All he really wanted was for the loners to leave their territory and hopefully never come back. He had promised his apprentice that they would go on a hunting patrol this day and he really didn't want to break that promise... but if this went on, he wouldn't have time.

Rush shrugged again, "But he's smart and a great fighter. He just has a sour attitude and a bit of pride, unless you get close to him. Or he's runs into a extremely playful cat" He said, his tail curling around his paws. Rush obviously wasn't very worried about his brothers habits. It was true, Lasher was rash, but everyone only saw his snappy, crude sarcastic side. They never bothered to go deeper because Lasher first impression always pushed them away. But Rush could understand that. Rush glanced toward Greyfoot and stiffened slightly. He was used to dealing with other loners and rogues, but Lasher usually took care of the clan cats.
Lasher smirked, "I get that a lot" He said smugly as he continued forward. He noticed the she-cat slowing and his caution raised. He slowed his pace as well. "Maybe if clan cats took some time to observe, they would come to that realization much faster" Lasher snapped a reply, making sure she did not get comfortable with this sort of casual conversation.

Mint was about to reply when she caught Greyfoot's scent, apparently Sparrow had for once too. He looked around quickly for the clan cat. He was excited which upset his sister. Mint didn't like clan cats and preferred to stay away from them, she wondered if Rush had noticed too.

(okay then...)
Greyfoot tipped his head to the side and blinked several times, waiting for Rush to say something to him. He hoped they wouldn't need to fight, but he was still ready in case.
Lavender was walking through the forest when she head sounds. They seemed far away, but hearing them must mean that something was going on. Probably a fight. I hope it isn't a fight between two other strays. That'd be the fourth time this week. She thought, groaning. Well, I'd better go and see. And suddenly, she broke into a run, in the direction of the sounds she had heard. Lavender had always been a fast runner.

Rush looked at Greyfoot, obviously being cautious and a bit on edge. "Do you need something?" He asked, his tone completely polite. Despite the fact that his retort may seem rude, he meant it in a completely serious fashion. He wasn't sure what the clan cat wanted and simply asked to find out. He had no intention of being rude, but not every cat he came upon knew that.

"I guess we're a bunch of stone-heads and you're a feather-brain." She teased. Thinking about it, this rouge wasn't actually that bad!

Mint watched Sparrow closely as he perked his ears curiously at the arrival of a clan cat. Mint was holding back a growl at the new time. This was too much socializing for one day.

Grey foot replied "Ah, no, I was just curious as to what was going on over here, and I didn't really want to climb up that tree and fight with the others. Well, most others." , pointing out the fact that Reedtail was not fighting in the tree but rather standing near the bushes. He didn't want to be rude to her, he just didn't want to say she was in the tree when she wasn't.

Mint looked at the clan cat. "You seem very friendly for cats that don't normally like others crossing their borders." She said coldly, hoping the tom would leave. "Oh trust me, we just eat the kits." A silver striped tom emerged from the shrubbery, he had dark blue eyes and bluish hint to his pelt. He looked at Greyfoot. "Someone said Reedtail sent for reinforcements, but I'm not seeing much of a fight here." He said, eyeing Mint and Rush. Mint let out a hiss at the sleek pelted cat. Before Mint could say anything Sparrow pushed forward. "Are you clan cats?" He asked excitedly.

Lavender sniffed around, looking for the cats she had heard. She was sure she was in the right area, but the cats seemed to have become quieter and she couldn't find them. She also wanted to be careful because she was near a Clan's home, and Clan cats were awfully stingy over their territory. She heard something, and ran that way, running fast towards the fighting cats.

Rush nodded in partial understanding. The other half of the nod was almost grateful. Lasher never knew when he was over his head. Two cats was a challenge, but with three, he would've lost very badly. Rush looked at Greyfoot, glancing at Mint and Sparrow. They seemed to be on edge a bit so he chose to do most of the talking. "Nothing really, just some friendly conversation. If we're a problem we can leave" He said lightly.
Lasher rolled his eyes at the she-cat. Was she actually trying to be friendly!?! What bothered him the most was it was working. Lasher, refusing to let himself relax or grow casual, stopped following ad sat down defiantly on a branch. "I'm not sure what this is about clan cat" He said with distaste, "but I'm not a lost kit, I'm not going to follow you around all day. Get to the point or get lost" Lasher snapped, growing a bit irritated that she had managed to get his wall that far down.

"I thought you said you were smart, rouge cat. I've already lead you far out of our territory and good luck trying to follow the scents back, either half of the branches we took have snapped by now or the scent was to loose to stick on the branches. So, I think you might be a lost kit." She replied, quite smug.

"Well, I'd say we had equal forces... before you came, there were four cats on each side (one cat belonging to the creator and another being Minksplash) ... and we could have potentially lost if all cats attacked us, although we could perhaps also have won..." he meowed back to the tom . "And it's fine as long as you don't cross our border, you can make a den nearby, we don't really want to fight, but we don't really want you to be in our territory either..."

Lasher shrugged, "Hardly" He smirked, "You see I've got a brother and he hunted out here and came back. I can smell his stinky pelt a mile away. And he just happens to be back in your territory right now. You see, you were much to busy with me to bother with him." He slowly climbed out of the tree and followed the strong scent of his brother. It was a bit faint, but Lasher knew it well. "Nice try, but a bit to obvious" Lasher called to her over his shoulder as he made his way back toward clan territory, following his brothers scent.

(Ah okay, and so Darkheart must be the new Tom)
Lavender smelled them before she could see them or hear them again. She smelt Clan cats, quite a few, but quite a few strays too. They were very close to the Clan border. She bounded through the bushes and ran straight up to Sparrow and asked "Hi, Sparrow... what's going on here?"

Sparrow jumped when Lavender ran up behind. "Oh, hi!" He purred. Mint turned her head furiously. This was getting to be too many cats and it was trying her patience. The new tom flicked his ears, his name was Silverheart. "Greyfoot, what are we going to do about this?" He asked softly. He noticed Mint's fur was beginning to bristle although her brother seemed calm. Now there was this new cat to think of and he didn't know where Reedtail was.

"Let me guess... Rush's brother, the one in the trees, provoked a Clan cat and got into a fight over territory? Well, these sure are fine cats... I'd love to have them join us strays, but I'd doubt they'd leave their Clan..." she meowed.
"Well, I think most of the cats over there will go... quite easily, although I'm wondering how we'll make the one climbing the trees leave... do Yu have any ideas?" said Grey foot, while he listened to what Lavender was saying.
Meanwhile, Reedtail was making dirt in some bushes nearby as she had suddenly realised she really needed to make dirt.

(XD) "But I want to be a clan cat!" Sparrow said to Lavender with a slight whine in his voice. Mint turned and cuffed him with her paw, a little harsher then she had meant to. Sparrow cringed, knowing she didn't like his talk of clans. Mint backed up a few steps. "We should be going." She said firmly. Silverheart narrowed his eyes as everyone burst into conversation. He shook his head in confusion. "What is going on?" He demanded.

Lavender facepawed at what Sparrow had said.
"Well, you could perhaps stay in the Clan for a few days... I'm sure they'd welcome you. Mint and your friend Lavender could come too, if they want, and if you like it you can stay! I'm sure the Clan would be happy to have a new warrior!" Greyfoot said enthusiastically to Sparrow. He smiled at Silverheart.
Reedtail came out of the bushes and padded over to see what was going on.
(Sorry, I've got to go)

(Okay, see you later) "No!" Mint hissed, looking at her younger sibling. Sparrow looked at her in surprise. He lowered his head slightly. "You have to let me go sometime." He said quietly. Mint heard the rejection in his voice and her eyes softened. "Sparrow, I know you want to join the clan, but if you go you can't come see me anymore." Sparrow perked up. "Then come with us!" He said enthusiastically. "You and Lavender." Mint flicked her gaze to the clan cats. Silverheart stayed silent, knowing she was deciding on whether to come or not.

"Well, I'll come with you if you go... although I can't guarantee I'll not have to go after a few days..." said Lavender "But I think you really should come too, Mint. He'll miss you a lot, and you can always leave if you don't like it..."
Greyfoot and Reedtail, who was now standing next to him, stayed silent like Silverheart.
