Madisen saw his hand show palm up and she assumed he was trying to shake her hand. Therefore she extended her hand awkwardly and shook his hand just as awkwardly as well. She quickly drew her hand away, unsure of how she should react. When he introduced himself she did the same, not attempting to be rude. "I'm uh Madisen." She was not sure what else to say. He was a stranger and Madisen was awkward. Like usual. No wonder she only had like two friends. How could she continue the conversation? "So what we're - I mean are - you doing out here?" He seemed to appear from nowhere evidently because she had bumped into him. As she thought about more she scolded herself, Smooth move Madi...

He shook her hand, his grip perhaps a little too firm due to his nerves. At least she was awkward too, it made him feel just a little better about himself. Her question disarmed him slightly, should he reveal that the forest was his home? What if she was one of the people he had heard about, being to forthcoming with information wouldn't be a good idea. "I, uhhh, I live out here." Darn it curse his big mouth, why was it so impossible for him to shut up. He ran a hand through his hair, messing up the russet locks giving him a slightly goofy appearance. "What about you?" He didn't think she would tell him, she seemed like the cagy type. Even he who was terrible at picking up on people's personalities could tell that. "What brings you out here?"

Madisen noticed his very firm grip and was slightly relieved when she did pull away. He seemed like an open book, or in the very least, curious. Wanting to know a bit about her and introducing himself quite early on. She was a bit taken back when he said that he lived out here in this woods. She could never imagine living without her clothes or fashion magazines. If she was going to be shy and quiet, why not look good at the same time right? She looked at the ground when he asked about where she lives. What was she supposed to say? What was okay to say? She decided to throw something out there that was similar to where she lives, "I live in an apartment complex." She paused for a moment before looking back up at him, curiosity in her gold eyes, "The woods though? How long have you lived out here?"

MC3 felt a little vibration in the collar that hid behind her neck and sighed, getting the message that she had to leave. At least now she knew that some of the runaways looked like and she was certain she could track them more easily now. She sprinted away, disappearing into the forest, slightly annoyed she didn't get to entertain herself much with the thrill of capturing the hybrids.

{{ I'm interested in joining...~ Right now I'm actually looking up non-warmblooded animals to hybridize with. If the person had a higher thirst drive to satisfy the needs for more water to make protective mucus, could I have a half-fish hybrid with a set of gills? The mucus would coat the inner structure of the gills, like saliva in the mouth, to avoid the gill tissue drying out and dying. I was also thinking of mixing it with a monitor lizard, or an eel, or maybe just a long-bodied fish so that the character has a long tail along with the gills... That would be acceptable, right? }}

Sorry, my internet pooped last night)
He smiled at the noncommittal response, it was actually more than he had expected and hinted that despite her discomfort she actually wanted to converse. Surely if she didn't want to talk she would have just walked away. "I mean I live out here in a cottage, not just in the trees. That would be kinda cold and wet." His hands moved as he spoke, gesturing wildly, it was a sign of nerves but his goofy smile remained. "I couldn't live in the city though, too many prying eyes." He joked although it was true, lately hybrids had been grouping together and it made them an easy target for those with impure motives. "What was going on back there?" He questioned, tilting his head in the direction of the commotion he had heard previously. He was curious, wondering why there was so much fighting in what was usually such a quiet place.

Madisen thought the way he smiled was adorable. Although she could not let it show,she did stare off and on however. When ever did explain to her that he lived in a cottage he wanted to face palm herself. Obviously he would live in a cottage! Where else would you live in the woods? He was not an animal. Well...not fully animal. She got a bit hesitant at explaining what was - or what- happened back where she was. "It's kind of complicated. Right now I'm not sure who is who." Madisen told him. She really did not know anymore. The male protected the female fox by attacking the Main Coon hybrid but he kidnapped the female fox. She should not worry about it too much anymore. It sounded like it died down. Hopefully the male fox had left already. They would all be better off without him. "But yeah, the city is a bit busy. I prefer actually leaving my apartment when places are quieter. Is it a tiger thing?" Madisen asked. He seemed to not like being around too many people either. Even though it was specifically humans it was close enough.

(ah, I remember when Hybrids didn't even have a page yet. But somehow now, combined with the old wcf, probably has over 1500+ pages combined. It's crazy to think how fast things can progress. Where is everyone?)

Tiger, so that was what she was. He made a mental note to learn more about them, it couldn't hurt to expand his knowledge which was somewhat limited when it came to cats of any scale. She trailed off for a moment, clearly thinking about how to explain what she had just seen. From what he had glanced through the trees it certainly looked complicated. "Isn't it always just so complicated. I mean I always thought life out here would be fun, and easy." He was sure many hybrids had thought the same thing, none could have anticipated having to live like criminals, constantly looking over their shoulders. "Oh well, I'm sure they will sort it all out." He said shrugging his shoulders. Not really sure if that was true, although he knew it was safer not to get involved. "So a Tiger? What's that like. You have super pretty eyes, is that part of it?" he said inclining his head slightly, one ear flopping slightly.

Madisen blushed a little when he complimented her eyes, but tried with what she can back to her normal color. "Well, being part tiger is helpful is some ways. You are very nimble, jump far, pound by pound I'm maybe half as strong as an actual tiger." She told him, her claws still out as she decided to maybe show off a little. Madisen went to a nearby tree that looked easy enough to climb. She started working her way up the tree, her claws sinking into the bark and moving up with speed. She reached one of the higher branches, but not too high to block his view because of the leaves. She stood up like she was walking on solid ground and walked across the branch with ease. "But it does have it's set backs." She told him from where she was.

Of course you can join!)
When reaching the end of the branch, Madisen sat down on it. Wanting to talk from where she was sitting. It was nice being able to show someone what she can do. No one knew she was a hybrid. She had no family to tell, and her friends would not want to have a 'fugitive' on their hands and be taken away as well. Loyal, she knew. However, it was something she could not help. "Yes, being a hybrid is a set back. Whoever thought up the idea should be shot in my opinion. With all of their experiments on us, they have more dead beings than they do live." She turned her head to the side a little before asking, "When did you leave? I left about three or four years ago." She told him. Madisen would go into detail about how she came to be who she is now and how she has evaded capture, however, she did not want to bore him. He didn't seem like the type that cared about life stories, or someone who could sit down patiently.

A soft breeze rustled through the trees, tousling his russet hair and making his ears flick restlessly. The breeze carried her scent towards him, interesting and different from anything he had ever smelt before. Listening to her talk about the setbacks of what they were, they all thought the same thing but it wasn't something they often talked about out loud. It sounded good to hear it and his lips quirked, the smile only fading when she asked when he had left the institute. He thought her question was phrased oddly, 'left' rather than escaped. He thought back to that time. "I don't really remember how long its been, I guess a few years." They had made the mistake of grouping the wolf hybrids, inadvertently forming a pack. Little did they know that a pack of hybrids would be rather hard to contain. They were gone now, either recaptured or leaving to strike out on their own, life was hard as a lone wolf. "You've done well to be out here so long. Perhaps living in the city isn't such a bad idea after all if you have been out for that long and not been found." The reminder of his pack mates had distracted him for the briefest of moments but once more his focus was returned to her.

From where Madisen was sitting it was hard to feel any of the breeze that so evidently moved through the forest. She could tell be the way Aspen's hair moved. She had listened to everything he said, curious about him. However, when he started mentioning packs Madisen had been thinking after he finished speaking. The word 'pack' to Madisen made her slightly uncomfortable. She prefered solitude, not close knit relationships with many people. People don't tend to be the most reliable when it comes to keeping secrets and such. Gossip was her least favorite pastime. It bored her if Madisen was just talking about other people, she prefered to do something or nothing at all. She always has that kind of thinking. Cut and dry so to speak. "The city isn't the best place to hide either, since there are so many people and you do not know who is friend or foe. But it does have it's advantages. I met someone when I first left. He showed me the ropes to living out here. He even have me a name. I wish I knew where he went after that first year..." she told him, saying more than she meant. Aspen just seemed to open to anything and everything it was hard not saying every thought on your mind.

Madisen smiled when Aspen did as he commented about their numbers in the real world. She learned it the hard way too. She remembers walking over to a police station, looking for help, although she was not sure what kind. When asked for her name, she said her number that they have given her: TH-19. Madisen watched as the two police officers at the front desk looked at each other and laughed before returning to look at her. They told her to stop playing games and if there is a real emergency to let them know. And not to make one up. Madisen didn't even bother explaining to them, they would never understand. Either that or she would dragged off to some hospital, or mental institution. "Yes, I suppose humans don't take kindly to numbers being used instead of names. Which leaves the question, where did you get your name from Aspen?" She questioned, turning her head to the side in slight confusion.
