im so pumped and interested for this. I am struggling with a creature atm. but i can post my wanderer if you want? )
wandererScreenname: meow Name: Casey Mils Physical Description: Casey is 4'11 and tries her very best to forget how short she is. She is 22 years old and has light brown hair, reaching her lower back. Her hair is almost always up in a messy bun though, as hair is a nuisance when one is trying to manage their life. Casey is your average looking joe with nothing special to her clothing, she's got jeans on and a tee-shirt and wrapped around her waist you will find a maroon coloured sweater. On her feet you'll see she has brown birkenstocks with socks on, she is clearly a fashion disgrace. Personality Description: Casey is chill, always. Lots of it comes naturally to her, otherwise she is chilled by the best plant around. Her interactions with other people are easy going as she has worked in retail stores since the age of 14. Being calm is one of her better qualities, although she is capable of getting mad-- she is more likely to get sad or anxious before the latter. Status: Newbie Gear: hair elastics on her wrist (is that okay? if not is chillio)

Certainly. Flight would be a natural ability, so you'd be able to include that. Also, I'll add that a creature can be carnivorous without begin malicious, so its up to you for its Status.

creature
Screenname: meow Name: beloo (buh-loo) lol, like beluga whale, but just the belu part. Physical Description: beloo is a bird monster kinda thing. She's got the body of a crow, but is the size of a human. She has the head of a crow, but her mouth has got some gnarly teeth. Her wingspan is that of a human's arm spread, so I guess human arms? She's a big birdie. Just picture a big crow with sharp teeth and sharp talons. When she's standing she's about 6'2 and almost always wearing a creepy grin... how do birds grin? Who knows. I don't. Personality Description: Her personality is all over the place, but mainly she's a sarcastic and rude birdie with no intentions of making friends. Just deals. Exemplar: i won't eat you if you give me this shiny object (as crows like shiny things....,.). She is also prone to laughing as she eats, taunts or frightens anyone in any way. She's a quick thinker and knows how to spark a conversation, she's sly and able to lure people into her nest-y lil place with shiny objects new wanderers might need...or like. She a bum and a nuisance, basically. Her main weakness is if you can get a hiding place for a while, beloo get's very bored, very easily and will leave you alone evetually. Status: malicious, carnivorous Gear: many objects as lures for wanderers Spells: n/a Abilities: flyin' soarin' okay coolio! if there is something wrong with this, let me know and i'll tone her down )

Its all good. She doesn't appear to be a Magus, so you won't be able to equip her with spells later on. She seems to have the physical prowess and the advantage of flight to balance her out. I'll go ahead and add her to the main page and then post a starter.

The summer sun would have been more than overwhelming for Mika had he not been shielded from its light by the canopy. The forest floor was still illuminated enough for him to be able to see clearly, and thankfully to not be directly hit by the light. However, the leaves trapped the humidity in the air, heating it and letting it saturate the environment. It made everything feel heavy.
He'd been wandering this strange place for what felt like hours now. He hadn't come across any water or shelter, either. This was absolutely ridiculous. There was no way the city park was this big. He couldn't even hear the honks and shouts from the traffic. It should be about time where the streets were more clogged than usual with bumper-to-bumper traffic, but the only thing he could hear now was the droning of a lone cicada, or at least he thought it sounded like a cicada, and the calls of several birds. He'd wandered off the trail some time ago and he was yet to find it again. With a tired sigh, he continued through the strange forest hoping to find the edge soon. He didn't want to be out here when night fell.
----
Valkoinen had forsaken her hulking thick-furred form and polymorphed herself into a smaller, humanoid form. She'd set her skin and hair to be pale to reflect the sunlight that beat upon her head despite forfeiting her camouflage against the green environment. It was too hot for fur today. The heat was draining, she was from much further north where there was nothing to see for miles but ice, ice, and more ice. Hunting was hard further north, but it was at least a livable environment for her natural form. Posing as a Wanderer and walking about on two legs was very disorienting and took a lot of adjusting. She had to be careful not to trip over the brambles that padded the dirt ground. Even in this smaller form, unfortunately, she still felt overheated. What she really needed was a cavern or burrow. Perhaps when the sun grew lower and it was less hot, she would change back and begin to dig herself a cool pit in the dirt to lie herself in.
----
Julian had left the dugout den he called home to search for food earlier that day. He'd set up his home near a small berry field, though it was growing near the end of the season, and the berries were terribly picked over by now. What remained would most likely drop and rot soon, leaving seeds to grow bushes for next year. He wasn't much for gathering the overripe berries, as he'd done well to dry and preserve a fair amount and stored them in his home should food run short. Now he was focused on furthering his reach and venturing into the tall forest in search of other edibles. By now, he'd caught a fat rodent creature and he'd gathered a few fruit that he didn't recognize. He was a little wary of trying them, but he'd seen a few birds snacking on them, so they must not be poisonous. Either way, he had enough to get him through tonight and a decent way through tomorrow before he started gathering again. Even though it was the middle of summer, he was a cautious creature and he feared winter might be more than he could handle if he wasn't well prepared.

you write beautifully! )
Beloo was up in the air, as one would expect a bird to be. She was flying with her eyes locked on the ground, she was looking for easy prey or maybe a fun new toy. A toy could either be a wanderer or a jewel, or even types of foods that she could use to attract wanderers near her. As she flew, the winds became warmer and her sight to the ground vanished almost immediately, being replaced by large, thick green leaves. They seemed to be folding in, masking all forms of entry from directly above. With an annoyed sign, Beloo turned herself around and made her way to the edge of the forest, landing as gracefully as a large bird could. Her wings cause a bit of sand to rise up in the air, then, silence. Beloo began to listen for sounds of walking, talking or breathing. She herself, was not too strong of a land dweller and preferred to be perched somewhere high up, where she could seem superior to others. With this in mind, Beloo entered the forest looking for something fun, and maybe a solid branch to rest on.
__
Casey looked up. Again. This must have been the fifth time in the past minute, that she had looked up. Where had the sky gone? Only massive leaves covered her now. She didn't hear anymore sounds of traffic from the New York streets. Great. She thought she was going to take a nice short walk into central park, and be out in a bit. Now it felt more like she was lost in the rambles, no one else was around. There was dead silence at times, at others, there were strange sounds coming from all over. Casey began to untie the sweater around her waist, as warm as it was, she was ironically cold from her uncomfortable state, and feeling of loss. Once her sweater was on, she began fidgeting with her elastics around her wrist. She had no clue where she was at this point, tears were starting to well up in her eyes. She sniffled, it was only a small sound, but from the silence surrounding her at that very moment, it seemed all very loud.
Attempting to get over her uncomfortable situation, Casey decided to look for somewhere to stay for a bit. Somewhere like a camp. Perhaps if she just sat down for a bit to think of where she was and how to signal someone, she would get out of here. It was only central park, it's not like she ended up in another world or something.

(Aw thank you~)
Mika continued walking through the strange woods, still looking around for any sign of the trail. Was it even possible to get lost this badly in the park? How had this happened? He could feel something akin to panic rising in his chest and he picked up his pace, starting to sprint. There had to be a way out! If he just kept moving in a straight line, he'd eventually come out near the road. Right? That was what everyone said to do if you got lost. Go straight, find a way out.
He stumbled a few times over roots that had grown above ground before suddenly both feet stopped moving forward, tangled in a bramble. His momentum didn't stop, however, and he was sent face first into the soil. He took a moment to realize what had happened, picking his glasses up from where they'd fallen and wiping them on his shirt before putting them back on. Good going, Mika...
--
Valkoinen stopped when she came across a shallow creek. After she judged the depth of the water carefully (it could be quite deceiving sometimes) she gave a smile and changed back into her full form, rolling about to soak her fur in the cool water. Her tail flicked water onto the grass and her wide jaw twisted into some sort of grin. It was definitely cooling, and it did wonders to help her recover from the heat. After a few moments more, she stood up, shaking herself much like a dog would before lying on her belly with her six legs tucked under her. She remained like this, letting the water run around her large frame and cool her belly. Perhaps she would remain here until night, and then she should begin to hunt.
--
Julian reached the edge of the woods before he spotted something shiny under the branches of a fairly prickly-looking bush. He walked over slowly, looking around to be are there were no other creatures before he crouched down and pawed under the bush. It took a few tries to reach it without being pricked by the thorns and he drew it back toward himself in his hand. He sat up, opening his hand to look at what he'd collected.
It looked like a coin, but he knew that very few creatures preferred to use currency, more opting for a bartering system. As far as he knew, coins like this only really came from Wanderers who were new to the Unknown. It was warm from the hot day, so it must have been here quite a while. He wasn't necessarily surprised, it seemed a lot of new Wanderers ended up stranded in the woods out here.

of course ) Beloo walked for some time, her need to find a branch was ever growing. In her thoughts of almost despair, she finally looked up and found the perfect branch. It was high enough off the ground so a wanderer could not look her directly in the eye, but low enough so that they could spot her while walking by. Although, to her ever growing luck, she heard new noises. That of footsteps, fallen footsteps and bushes moving. While squinting her eyes she strained to see someone, r something, that looked rather much like a wanderer. A confused one at that. They had on little to no protection, and seemed to be wearing what others had informed her of being called glasses. He seemed to surrounded by bramble. Perhaps if she flew in she could greet him, see if he needed assistance, for something in exchange...Rather, she decided to wait on him to continue on his path. Their meet would happen eventually. With this plan in mind, she continued to observe the boy, thought on how to impress him or confuse him began running through her mind. She opened her wings and closed them once again, giving them a shake all at the same time. Maybe she could lure him with advice about where he was... as he seemed lost, or maybe she could bring him back to her nest for some gear... she pondered and giggled to herself. She was ever so hungry and excited to play. __ Casey was so tired, she needed to sit down at once, or better yet, she needed to find water. As she walked she pulled her hair out of a ponytail, only to do it back up in a bun at the top of hr head. As she grew warmer and more desperate to find water, she pulled off her sweater and tied it back around her waist. She continued walking, determined to find some sort of liquid, or something damp. She tried remembering what she had learned in girl scouts from when she was younger, in terms of finding water but she had not luck pulling those memories up. She decided to go on gut instinct and just try to smell, or hear any form of water. Hopefully, she thought, as she ventured closer to something, she would possibly hear water --- or maybe even another person... it was starting to gt lonely out here, which is sad considering she has only been out here for about an hour tops. Probably. Hopefully. Casey honestly had no clue as to how long she had been out here for.

Mika picked himself up now that he had his glasses on right again and he dusted himself off. It only took a few careful steps to get out of the brambles. He started moving again, though this time he went back to his slow pace, scanning the area ahead of him as well as the forest floor in front of him. He didn't want to trip again, he needed to make progress and get out of here. He was already hungry and the heat had made him thirsty quite a while ago. How far was he from the city now? He had to be closer, right? With a frustrated sigh, he stopped, trying to think this over. This couldn't be right. He knew he hadn't been going in circles, so why wasn't he out of the woods yet? This was wrong. He wasn't sure what, but something was terribly wrong about all of this.
--
Valkoinen remained at the creek for another thirty minutes before she stood and shook herself off again. She wanted to stay near the water a bit longer, but she'd gotten hungry enough that she wanted to start hunting now. The creature stepped out of the water, shaking off one paw at a time as she stepped onto the dry ground. She began walking upstream, figuring prey would most likely be drawn to the water as she had been.
The vulpine beast was careful with her footsteps, moving silently in case there was food about to be hunted. She couldn't catch the scent of any other creatures, nor could she detect any wanderers. Perhaps she was just upwind? If so, she'd have to be cautious.
--
Julian turned the coin over in his hand a few times before adding it to his bag. It might not be worth its actual currency here, but it would make for a good bartering token should he come across another creature with something he wanted. He headed back to the edge of the woods, crossing into the fields. From here he could see the mass of berry shrubs he'd been frequenting in the early weeks of this summer. He headed back to the house, which was partially a hollowed stump and partially a structure of wood and mud that he'd constructed a few years ago.

Beloo noticed that the young man had managed to get out of the brambles. A grin appeared on her face, showing all her teeth. This was her only chance of getting something or someone anytime soon. She swooped down gently to the ground and stood by a tree, she awaited him to get nearer. At this point in time, she decided to stay hidden, as she realized her appearance may scare off this new wanderer. She started out with speaking, instead.
"Hey there sweetie, are you lost?" Beloo asked kindly, already knowing the answer to her question. She awaited a response, in grand hopes of not scaring the boy away.
__
Casey, after what seemed like forever, finally reached some water. It was a body of water that looked nothing like what you would find in new york. Although, to her surprise, it looked surprisingly fresh and clear. Nearing it slowly, she dipped a finger in and it sent chills up her spine. The water was freezing...perfect. Right away Casey began to strip down to her lighter clothing, leaving her others on the bank. She began to all deeper into the water, cooling down immediately. At this point in time, Casey used her hands to scoop water into her mouth. She was quite at ease in this very moment, not thinking of anything besides how happy she was that she found water.

(I have to go for the night.)
Mika couldn't help but to jump a bit when he heard someone speaking. Finally, another person!
"Somewhat. Could you tell me if the trail's near here? Or which way's the closest way back to the road?" He asked, looking around. He would have preferred to speak face to face with whoever was talking to him. He couldn't really think of a reason someone would hide from if if they were going to talk. It kinda gave away their presence. Perhaps someone else could have figured out where they were hiding from the sound of their voice, but Mika wasn't really skilled in such feats.
--
Valkoinen heard soft splashing further ahead and she crouched down to keep hidden as she slowly began to advance. Sure she wasn't exactly the easiest thing to hide, but she was good at keeping out of sight. Her tail twitted a few times as her prey came in to view - a Wanderer woman, and by the lack of gear present, a new Wanderer at that. An easy catch if she didn't mess up. Then again, a new Wanderer raised in the right way could be a useful puppet. She paused briefly to consider her options.

Hello! ) Beloo scanned the young man from where she hid in the bushes, he seemed uptight and very confused. With a slight shake of her wings she decided to break the news to him, "Oh hon, there's no more path," she paused, allowing what she said to sink in. "Where you are now is where you'll stay, unless you can get help from someone." Another stop, " You're nowhere near where you think you are.." Beloo finished. She debated on leaving her hiding spot, but decided it was better to stay hidden and allow the boy to make the next move. __ Casey was thirsty as heck. She decided to stay in the water for a bit longer, then headed out to the bank. As she left the water her feet, now wet, began to sink slightly into the mud. Slowly but surely she got dressed again, she placed her pants and shirt on, followed by her sweater and finally her socks and sandals. Looking around, Casey was dumbfounded. She concluded that she was lost and would need to start looking for another person for help. Anyone.

"What are you talking about?" Mika asked with a frown. "Where am I? Where did the path go?" He paused a moment before speaking. "Where are you? Come out and talk to me." He wasn't sure if this person was just trying to mess with him, or if they meant trouble, but it might be easier to guess if he could see them, read their body language.
--
Valkoinen continued to creep closer to the Wanderer, trying to decide. Food, or minion? Food, or minion? A minion would probably be better in the long run. Then again there was a chance she could fight back later. Eh, if she wasn't worth the effort, she would make a decent snack. She rose up out of her hiding place. "You've wandered far from home, little one. My, my, you don't seem prepared for this sort of journey at all." She commented, her expression twisted into a grin.
