Littleshadow nodded to the medicine cats, "Yes, thank you. I'll be just fine after a bit of rest." she mewed with a tired smile. Her eyes lit up though as they moved to gaze at the three kits suckling at her belly, a soft purr rumbling out of her. She looked at Owlwhisker, eyes full of love. "I suppose we can name them now." “They’re perfect!” Owlwhisker whispered, looking at the kits with wonder as he touched his paw gently to them, laughing brightly. “Names! Oh, Starclan, you’re right! Okay, I’ve got one, if you wanna hear it.” He offered.

Sheeppaw swiveled his head from the nursery entrance to blink at Marshpaw. "Worried? Naw, I know she'll be just fine," he drawled. "I just can't help myself; I love bein' a part of the mamas and babies' first moments, and bein' 'round to care for 'em." The fluffy tom ducked his head with an embarrassed chuckle. "I"m sure Turtlefrost's none too pleased 'bout my hangin' 'round here rather than practicin' my fightin'..." Marshpaw thought on it for a moment, almost wistfully. He wasn't particularly good at being gentle or careful enough to even dare dream of helping care for the newborn kits or their mother. Sheeppaw's intentions were admirable for that, in his mind. "Aw, I bet Turtlefrost won't even notice, she's probably off for a swim right about now anyways." Turning his head to the side, he suggested, "But if you want to practice anything to avoid a lecture later, I have some time. And we don't have to go far if you want to stay near the kits." He paused as his imagination turned to him tripping and somehow falling into the den. "Although, maybe we shouldn't get too rowdy near them. Maybe it's not such a good idea." Sheeppaw sighed with a light chuckle, knowing the other apprentice was right - even if Turtlefrost wasn't around right now, he should do his best to practice her teachings. It had been made clear to him that to be a Clan cat, he'd have to put in the work. "All right, all right. What say we see if'n we can catch a fish or two? Maybe we can try the reeds for some minnows," he suggested, pointing with his nose to the reeds crowding the edge of the island where the river met the camp.

Littleshadow's tail swept the kits closer to her, "Of course, which one would you like to name?" Owlwhisker nodded to the third born kit, the tom that shared both their features. A fond memory filled his eyes as he thought of the way Tessa used to play with him in the dirty pools of water in Twolegplace. Even now, he missed her more than anything. He mused. “Pondkit is a nice name for him, right?”

(I might've missed it but I don't think I saw an answer for this one?) “Well, at the very least we have two medicine cats again, even if one’s less… conventional.” Iciclestep sighed, still a little put off by the sudden acceptance of a loner as their new medicine cat. Even so, he idly admitted. “Seems he knows what he’s doing with the kitting going on, if there’s been no panic yet.” Snowflower nodded quickly, “You’re right about that,” she agreed. “Still, even with a skilled medicine cat like Specklecreek, sickness can be difficult.” A bit of bravery pulsed through her and she brushed her nose to his cheek. “Would you like to get some fresh air, once you’ve finished with the mud and muck? Maybe we could just take a little walk around?” She suggested, not having a specific goal in mind.

His tail rose straight upright with joy. “That sounds great!” With a bounce in his step, he headed straight to the reeds, only occasionally looking back to see if Sheeppaw was following.

If anything, he forgot instantly about the mud on his pelt as he pulled up to his paws. “Fresh air sounds great. Lead the way, and I will follow.” He hummed, smirking with a light tease.

Sheeppaw bounded after the other apprentice, shouldering his way into the reeds and standing with the river washing over his black paws, as comfortable as any Clan-born cat. They were lucky - the river hadn't yet frozen here around the reeds. He stilled, allowing the regular rippling of the water to return.

Littleshadow purred, "Pondkit is perfect, I love it." Her eyes swept across the other two kits, humming in thought before her tail landing gently over the black and white she-cat. "How about Iriskit for her?"

Somewhere quiet, maybe?” As nice as it was hanging out in the den, it was also nice to have quiet conversation with Iciclestep away from the rest of the clan. She enjoyed her time with him, even when it was fleeting. She took a few steps toward the exit, watching to see if he followed.

It was just nice, being here with another apprentice. He hunkered low, mud brushing against his chest fur. He kept his attention dutifully on the reeds ahead. He didn’t have the best aim, but he was hopeful that even if he didn’t catch anything, Sheeppaw would be quick enough to cat h what he missed. Marshpaw tensed as slow ripples indicated nearby minnows.

He could tell that the Clan was starting to realize that they were together. Not that he caref to tell them, or cared to respond to any rumors. He liked the feelings they shared with eachother, just the two of them.

(going to play through how I came to Riverclan if yalls don't mind) A small white and gray she-kit sat besides a small stream, her mouth opened in a silent cry for help. She was skinny, and starved, her brother lay beside her, unmoving. She nudged him once. Twice. nothing, she buried her small muzzle into his fully black fur, he was cold. A sense told her he was gone, yet she didn't understand. Only about twelve sunrises ago she was brought into the world, she had sucked a sweet creamy liquid, unsure of what it was called, where was it now? Where was that wonderful sweet sent of the other cat? She didn't know. All she knew was that she was alone now. She lifted her head and opened her mouth, this time a small sqeak came out, she did ths multiple times untill she grew tierd, she could only hope help would come. (this takes place at a small stream pretty close to the Riverclan camp, so other cats can hear her smol sqeakles, so hopfully one of yalls will come XD by the way when someone, I don't know who will finds me they take me bak to camp and idk who but someone names me small kit due to my smaller then usual size)

He paused as he swore he heard noises outside of camp. The tom tipped his head, only to feel his fur prickle with unease as he swore he heard the cries of a kit. Too concerned to keep his post, he quickly padded out of camp and towards the noise, realizing that whatever it was must have come in with the recent flood waters. As soon as he slipped down the nearby stream bank, he gasped loudly as he realized what was making the noise. There, near the water, were two kits. One was clearly lost, much to Foxripple’s sadness, but the other was very much alive. He quickly approached the kit, mew gentle and a bit frantic as he whispered. “Starclan, how did you get here? Poor thing. Okay. I’m going to pick you up.”

You’ll be safe and warm soon, we’ve got a whole bunch of kits now, and Queens who can care for you.” He blinked. “I’m talking to myself, I know.” He moved to pick her up by the scruff, promising himself to get the tom kit buried as soon as possible once he got this kit to safety. He began padding back to the camp entrance.

Sheeppaw stared, his amber eyes unblinking, at the water in front of his paws. Then he flashed a paw forward, flicking three minnows out of the water and onto the bank beside Marshpaw. Marshpaw’s jaws cracked in amazement. He purred, “Looks like you don’t even need the practice!” Inching closer to the water that hadn’t been disturbed, he waited, then flashed a paw to catch his own. Though he felt minnows brush his paw pads, he was only able to successfully grab two of his own. Even then, one slipped from his grip and he had to fumble to secure his hold on it.

"Nice catch!" Sheeppaw purred. "There was a l'il brook on the farm, so I've been fishin' minnows practically since I was kitted. Those big'uns in the river give me trouble, though," he said. He looked up at the commotion, peering through the reeds to where Foxripple was approaching camp carrying something. He flicked his ears toward him. "Wasn't he s'posed to be guardin'?"

Quietpaw thought that he'd be sick from how loving this moment was. Would all kittings be like this? He hoped not. He scooted a little farther away, in case he actually did get sick, and stuck his tongue out a little bit. He looked over at Alder in hopes that their job was done to escape the nursery. Alder, catching Quietpaw’s discomfort, bobbed his head to the two parents. “Let us know if you need anything, but we’ll give you some space now.” He flicked his tail, bundled up the poppy that hadn’t been needed, and left the nursery.

Once she traveled a short ways and found a dry, wide space with a view of the river, she paused to watch the water flow by. “I love getting a chance to take a break like this. There’s so much going on in the clan, sometimes it just gets to be too much. What with prey-maulers, and Specklecreek, and the new kits. It’s just… so busy it seems. It’s distracting.”

In Riverclan camp with Foxripple ( Moonblazer) The small she-kit looked around as they entered a big area with many many cats, this got her anxious so she squirmed a little as they got into the middle. A small sqeak came from her mouth as the big tom set her down she stared into his piercing blue eyes and looked at his dark ginger tabby pelt, I hope I'm safe here The small cat thought Hopfuly he will protect me! another small mew escaped her mouth as she glanced back around to all the other cats.

At the sound of a squeal, Alder looked up from where he’d just left the nursery. His orange ears twitched to the sound, where he saw Foxripple with a young kit. Recognizing him as the camp guard, but not knowing him by name, he approached the tom quickly, but not panickedly.
“Quietpaw,” he began, then thought better of it. His apprentice had seem uncomfortable during the kitting, and if he struggled with kits and hadn’t adjusted to Alder yet, it’d probably do more harm to get him directly involved.
Fumbling for something else to say, he set the poppy head down and asked, “Would you mind taking this back to the den?”
Then, quietly, so as to not scare the kit, he turned and asked, “What do we have here?”
