Icepath looked at Stormpaw with amusement. It seemed like every apprentice slept in on their first day. "I'm glad you are. We're going to go out of camp today." she spoke, leading the way out towards the edge of camp.

Stormpaw perked up, hurrying after his mentor, "Are we going to see the territory?" he asked, eyes bright as he tried to keep up with Icepath. "Will we see any of the other clans?"

(Heyooo! Anyone open?)

Hey Blazer! I have everyone open except for Icepath. We can have the new warriors talk about their vigil, Earth can talk to someone...)
Icepath nodded. "I'll be showing you the territory, but we probably won't see the other Clans." she explained. "Obviously, their camps are too far away to see, but if we stumble upon a border patrol you'll get a glance."

(Sounds good!)
Swanflight puffed her chest, wide awake even after her vigil, unlike Iciclepath, who looked grumpier than a hald-drowned vole. She waved her tail, snickering out. “So! Who fell asleep standing up last night? Wasn’t me.”
“My hate for the night kept me awake.” Iciclepath grumbled shortly, glancing at his brother and sister next to him.

"I stayed up all night!" Salmonsplash proclaimed, glad that he successfully completed the vigil. "It was certainly an interesting experience."
Koishade looked like she agreed more with Iciclepath, blinking slowly. "I was tempted to fall asleep, but I knew it wasn't right."

Stormpaw waved his tail, excited to finally see RiverClan territory, "Do the other clans smell as bad as the other apprentices say?" he asked, looking at Icepath, "Silentpaw told me that ThunderClan has the worst scent out of them all." he added.

"I was tempted to fall asleep, but I knew it wasn't right." “So it looks like we all made it through.” Swanflight smiled, nudging at Koishade’s side as she chuckled. “You and Iciclestep can sleep your huffiness away soon, I promise. As for you, Salmonsplash, I could tell how bright Brookheart looked to see you named! He’s so stoic, but seeing him cheer for you means you must be super special.” She teased. “Ignore her, she has too much energy.” Iciclestep sighed, scowling lightly at Swanflight as he spoke to Koishade.

"That depends on the cat." Icepath chuckled. "Most of us aren't fond of ThunderClan due to our feuds over Sunningrocks. I'd prefer if they just left them to us." she said as she continued walking. The sound of the river was growing closer. "I can show you what Sunningrocks looks like today, if you'd like."
Salmonsplash flattened his ears slightly, not wanting to be more special than his siblings. "I doubt that. He was probably proud of us all equally." It certainly felt nice hearing the Clan cheer their names.
"I guess we're always going to be opposites." Koishade mewed, stretching. Her and Iciclestep would be the calmer of the two siblings. "I hope we don't get called for any patrols before we can sleep."

Stormpaw's eyes widened excitedly, "Yes!" he mewed, adding a little bounce to his step, "Is Sunningrocks still ours? Can we explore them?" he asked, ears perking up as he heard the sound of the river as they got closer to it.

Icepath shook her head. "Unfortunately, ThunderClan has ownership of them right now. We won't dare cross the border. If a patrol is there, I can't take them all, and you don't know any battle moves yet." she warned. "But we can observe from our side of the territory." She paused as the river was visible in the distance. "Do you know what's ahead?"

I’ll have to make sure his training doesn’t go to waste.” Swanflight beamed, already missing training with her mentor. She tossed her eyes as she grinned at her sister. “I could go on patrols all day! I feel more alive than ever!” “You can go on mine then.” Iciclestep sighed, shaking his head. “Koishade has the right idea. By the way, my nest is still in the middle of us, I won’t hear arguments otherwise. I get cold, and when I get cold, I start splitting whiskers.”

Stormpaw flicked his ear in slight disappointment, "Oh, okay." he mewed, but perked up again as Icepath paused and stood on his toes to try and see, "Is that the river?" he asked, eyes wide.

Tinypool and Stormsplash were sitting close together. Tinypool was frowning deeply at whatever her brother was whispering about. Stormsplash was looking at his paws, looking rather nervous.
Minnowtail was grooming Viperkit outside the nursery, the little tom attempting to squirm away from his mother's tongue.
Songkit was scrambling over her mother, giggling quietly.
Skystorm was sitting at the edge of camp, unsure how to fill his day now that he didn't have an apprentice anymore.
LIttleshadow was grooming her fur in her nest, smiling every so often when she caught sight of Owlwhisker's nest next to hers.

"I could use a break. I wish we all had your energy." Salmonsplash mewed. As much as he wanted to help, he needed to rest after the vigil.
Koishade huffed. "As long as I'm not on the edge, I'll be fine."
"That's right." Icepath nodded, leading the way towards the edge of the river. She was glad to see it running as usual. "This is what we're named after. The river outlines the edge of our territory."

Where-...Oh. A dream...” He blinked a few times, trying to shake off the memory of the puddles of Twolegplace, before he noticed Littleshadow next to him. He smiled at her, rolling on his back to lift a paw and to swat gently at her. “Hello!”

I won’t let you freeze.” Swanflight snickered, before she released a dramatic sigh. “Ohhh fine. Since you all are so tired, I guess I’ll take a quick nap to even it out. But don’t get on my pelt if mother pulls us out of the den by our tails.”

"I hope not. Surely she had to sleep after her vigil, right? Troutfang, too..." Koishade reasoned. “Apparently our mother was as focused as her mentor. I don’t think I’ve seen Ivymask take breaks when she needs not to.” Iciclestep sighed, knowing how stern she could be when it came to clan duties. “Father might be the only one that can get her to sleep.” “Oh, isn’t that romantic?” Swanflight sighed. “I wish I had a cat like that at my side. I want a sappy old romance, you know?”

"Not yet." Icepath spoke, stepping forward to make sure he wouldn't fall in. "Have you swam outside the nursery before?" she asked. "Depending on how much you know, I would rather teach you swimming first. Fishing can end with you taking a nice dip in the river, and that would be bad if you can't save yourself."
"If she doesn't, she needs to learn to take breaks." Koishade shrugged. "Otherwise she'll overwork herself and not be able to do anything."
Salmonsplash looked over at Swanflight with a smile. "I'm sure there's plenty of cats that can catch your eye here." he reassured, though he couldn't think of anyone for himself.

Stormpaw shook his head, he and his siblings had only played in the water that was near the nursery, "We weren't allowed to play in the deeper water, so I guess that makes sense." he said, shaking his paw as he stepped away from the edge of the river and looked, "What's next?" he asked eagerly, ready to see more of the territory.

Fluffpaw blinked with surprise at Eelshock’s words. She had heard her mother’s trembling voice and her father’s cold recalling of Adderstar, but she had never known her grandfather, and just how evil he was. Perhaps he had been awful and wrong to kill clanmates, and yet there was the concept of unity. Maybe Eelshock had a point. Maybe Riverclan was always destined to unite the clans, but her grandfather had just done it wrong. “That...it does sound nice, the thought of never having wars or conflicts, united together. So that fires like that will never hurt one clan more than the other...Adderclan failed, right?...Maybe it can be done better, done right.” She murmured to him. Eelshock nodded in agreement, but a sigh huffed from his lips. "But it's not like the other Clans would actually see it that way. I mean, come on, ShadowClan is selfish, WindClan keeps to themselves, ThunderClan thinks they're better than everybody, and SkyClan won't do anything that might defy the will of StarClan."

Littleshadow leaned down to nuzzle against him. "A dream you say? What about?" she asked curiously. "The old puddles I used to play in, back in Twolegplace. I learned to like water because of it...maybe I was always supposed to become a Riverclan cat, you know?" Owlwhisker admitted, honest and thoughtful. His tail waved in the air as he remained still on his back, purring as she nuzzled him. "I used to think I would fall into the puddles when I was a kit, that they would take me to a secret place full of mice."

Fluffpaw was quiet at that, a disappointed look crossing her face as her lip curled lightly. "They'll never get along at this rate. We'll have to keep watching them squabble over territory and prey as if they didn't cause their own damage..." She glanced at Eelshock, grateful that he seemed to be the only cat that really understood her plight. "Hey, uh. Thanks. For listening, that is." She murmured.

"No need to thank me, Fluffpaw, I'm just glad there's someone else who feels the same way." Eelshock smiled softly at her. "Perhaps, with enough patience and persistence, we can get the other Clans to see our point of view? If it's StarClan's will that RiverClan unite the Clans, then it is bound to happen."

Fluffpaw offered a small grin of her own, determination in her eyes. "If we don't act, then can we really call ourselves Warriors? We have to be fearless, and dedicated." She decided.

Littleshadow listened intently, nodding her head along to his story. She smiled at the end, purring quietly. "That would be nice wouldn't it? Lands where prey never ended? I suppose that's what Starclan's like." she mused thoughtfully. "Were you a good hunter when you lived in the twolegplace?" she asked suddenly. "There's no one to teach you."
