Glacierkit followed his brother into the water, relieved to feel the cool river in his paws.
Shellstream flushed slightly, turning away to look to where her father and the deputy were. "We should go see what they're planning."
Icepath nodded, her gaze serious. She wouldn't let the deaths of her Clanmates get to her.
"I'll handle the material patrol." Earthstar told Diamondheart, looking back at the patrol. "Good luck, and don't hesitate to get help if you need any." he mewed.
Troutfang stood as he heard his name get called.

Ottermask looked from Ospreystrike to Jaggedclaw and Icepath. He nodded to each of them before leading the way out of camp.

Lakekit ducked his head under the water and blew threw his nose to help clean it out. He was tired of sneezing.
Frostlake watched over her kits, but glanced back at her mate and the Clan from time to time. She wished there was more she could do to help.
Deadpath nodded in agreement and started over to Earthstar and Diamondheart.

Icepath followed Ottermask, fearing the worst but trying to stay focused.
Glacierkit kept his head above the water, paddling to stay afloat.
Shellstream approached Earthstar and Diamondheart, with Troutfang already waiting for instructions. Earthstar greeted the two with a nod. "Would you like to help Troutfang gather materials?" he asked, flicking his tail.

Ottermask headed through the territory to the last place he saw Ashfaith. With every step his paws felt heavier and guilt burdened his heart. 'i should have never taken that patrol out' he thought to himself.
Frostlake purred softly in watching her kits. "Well done Glacierkit, you're a fine swimmer."
Deadpath nodded to his former mentor. "Of course, Earthstar. Anything to help."

Icepath noticed Ottermask's steps growing heavy, flattening her ears. She couldn't imagine what the tom was feeling right now. "Please don't blame yourself," she called to him. "You did all you could... we can't control fire."
Glacierkit perked at his mother's praise. "I want to be a good swimmer!" he mewed, padding faster.
"Good. I'll leave you to Troutfang." Earthstar nodded to his son, turning to see what else needed to be done.
Troutfang greeted Shellstream and Deadpath, his tail swishing on the ground. "Earthstar says we need to find materials, so I think we should go find some reeds. Sound good?"

"I shouldn't have suggested the patrol." Ottermask shook his head. "if I hadn't suggested the patrol, they would still be alive."
"And you will be." Frostlake purred softly. "When you become an apprentice, you'll learn all sorts of water techniques."
Deadpath nodded to Troutfang. "of course. Hopefully the fire didn't get too close to the rivers where they grow."

"But you didn't know that would happen." Icepath pressed. "You only had good intentions suggesting the patrol. Nobody could've predicted the fire's movements."
"When can I be an apprentice?" Glacierkit asked Frostlake, keeping his head above the water. "I want to be one now!"
"I hope you're right." Troutfang responded. "If the fire really reached the reeds, it may take a while before they regrow." He began to head out of camp. "Only one way to find out!"
Shellstream glanced at Deadpath before following her brother.

Ottermask shook his head. "It's just not fair, Icepath. I suggested the patrol and end up getting everyone on it killed. Where's the justice in that? I make the mistake and everyone else pays for it."
Frostlake purred softly. "You'll become an apprentice when you reach six moons. In the meantime, you should enjoy being a kit while you can."
Deadpath nodded in reply and hobbled after Troutfang the best he could. If they were lucky, Ottermask's patrol was able to keep the fire from reaching the reeds. That thought brought a pang of worry to his heart. Ottermask had been the only one to survive the patrol. His uncle was always strong, but Deadpath worried he was carrying the weight of this burden too much. Deadpath glanced at Shellstream. "We'll probably find some," he decided for himself. "Ottermask and his patrol would've made sure some of the reeds survived."

Icepath was quiet for a moment. She wasn't sure what else she could say to change his mind. Emotional reassurance was not one of her strengths. "There's always things we can't control."
"But that's so far away..." Glacierkit pouted slightly, moving to get out of the water.
Shellstream walked alongside Deadpath, hoping that there were reeds left. "You're right." she agreed. It was all they could do until they found out for sure.
Troutfang could see the edge of the river ahead, stopping to get a good look. The grass across the ThunderClan border appeared charred beyond Sunningrocks, but most of the reeds appeared untouched.

"I don't blame you..." Ospreystrike murmured, the young warrior looking up at Ottermask after a moment of padding along with the patrol. Her eyes were saddened, but her words were steady. "I can't say the same for Orchidnight, my older sister can be far harsher...but I know that you all did what you could to help the clan. My mother loved all of Riverclan, and would have died for you and anyone else in a heartbeat. It's why I wanted to be like her. I want to be as dedicated as she was. She knew what could happen...and I like to think she believed in you, no matter what happened." She tried to assure.
Jaggedfang (I mixed up his name earlier XD ) listened to the conversation silently, not sure on how to feel. On one side, Ottermask inevitably would have to brunt the responsabiltiy for the deaths of their clanmates as the leader of the patrol. On the other paw, he knew that his clanmates knew the risks and volunteered to partake in a patrol that could result in death. Usually the tom was very vocal and unafraid to talk, but the fire had forced him to be more thoughtful of things. He wasn't sure his overly loud attempts at conversation would lift the mood.
Swanpaw shrugged lightly, glancing at Kingpaw as she mewed. "Well, we can always sleep outside until we get it fully fixed. I'm alright without having a den so long as the kits and queens have one first...unless you'll let me share in the medicine den." She teased, giving a chime of laughter.

Ottermask glanced back at Icepath and flicked his ear in agreement. He led the group on and slowed when he neared the area he last saw Ashfaith. The warrior's body was still there. It was partly charred, but Ashfaith had died of smoke inhalation than burns.
"That just means you have all more time to play." Frostlake replied calmly, she motioned back to where Lakekit was still swimming. "You can prepare yourself for your apprenticeship by strenghtening your swimming skills. Then your mentor will be all the more impressed with you when you do become an apprentice."
Deadpath perked up when he spotted the reeds ahead, his voice became so optimistic it cracked. "See? Ottermask made sure some reeds made it."

(I didn't think their was a Jaggedclaw in RiverClan xD)
Ottermask flicked his ear in response to Ospreystrike's words; however he couldn't get himself to look at her. Yeah, every warrior knew the risks of running into fire, but as leader of the patrol, Ottermask felt he should've been more careful. He couldn't help but think over what had happened. How did everything go so wrong when he he was sure he did everything right. It wasn't fair.

Kingpaw chuckled lightly and shrugged his shoulders at her words. "If the den is in bad shape then I was gonna ask if you wanted stay in the medicine cat den anyways. So... do you? We can make you nest next to mine until the apprentices den is rebuilt."

"Ashfaith..." Jaggedfang finally spoke, ears falling as he looked at the remains of the tom that had earned his Warrior name beside him and Eelshock. So much life left to live, and yet that would never be the case. The large tom gazed down at him, eyes drooping for a moment before a hardened steeliness filled them. He padded towards the tom, leaning down and mewing out tightly. "I can carry him on my back..."
Ospreystrike tried not to tremble at the sight, not wanting to look like a fearful kit, and yet the sight was horrific. The pain he and the others must have felt...
"Well..." Swanpaw looked thoughtful, a twinge of warmth filling her at his offer. Kingpaw had always been kind to her, always been considerate of her. Even so, she mewed. "I don't want to take up nest space if another cat needs it more...Er, unless it's alright with you and Specklecreek. I can help in the medicine den too in exchange."

Icepath's face fell as the patrol found Ashfaith, her tail drooping. She only hoped he had passed painlessly.
"Ok!" Glacierkit nodded, happy with his mother's answer. "But... do you want to swim too?" he asked.
"Let's grab as much as we can." Troutfang called back, moving to grab a clump away from the others so they could split up.
Shellstream nodded in relief, looking at Deadpath happily. "Let's hurry and grab most that we can see." she spoke. "Though we don't want to take everything at once."

Kingpaw gave a light chuckle and bumped her with his shoulder. "I'm the onr asking for you to come. I'm sure Specklecreek wouldn't mind and yeah... we may need help. We've lost so many." He let out a slow breath. "Can you help me to the medicine cat den? I need to set out the herbs so we can treat the wounded as soon as their brought in.

(So there was Ashfaith by the river. Was Sootfeather the one who fell into the river and got washed away? Where and how did everyone's characters die? Rosefrost, Coppershade, Mossclaw, and Echosplash?)
Ottermask nodded gratefully to Jaggedfang. When he saw the look on Ospreystrike's face, he gave her a sympathetic look and motioned down the bank to the right. "I last saw Rosefrost that way."
Deadpath nodded in agreement and he waded a ways into the river to pull the longer reeds up from their roots. He left the shallower reeds alone.

"I'll watch you and your brother for now." Frostlake purred softly in reply to her son. Normally, she would play with her kits, but with the camp in the state it was in, she wanted to be able to watch for trouble should any arise.
Lakekit swam over to his brother, splashing in the shallower waters. "I bet I can hold my breath longer than you!"

Unfortunately, I don't remember any of their deaths...)
Icepath motioned for Ottermask to lead the way.
Shellstream followed Deadpath, helping pull up long strands of reeds. These would be great for the dens.
Troutfang worked to pull reeds from the other side of the river.
"Oh... Ok." Glacierkit mewed, flinching as Lakekit's splashing hit his fur. "No, I bet I can!"

(I know someone was washed away and I think the rest died of Smoke Inhalation. Ashfaith, technically didn't die, but with Jekll's ban...yeah. I guess you can add all of Jekyll's cats to the body count for RiverClan. I did that with ShadowClan.)
Ottermask kept his ears back and set off to find Rosefrost.
Deadpath stole glances at Shellstream while they work. It was nice to be able to work alongside her. He couldn't remember the last time they had this chance. She had always been the kindest too him and he wished he could repay that somehow. When he had enough reeds in his jaws, Deadpath started back toward the river bank.
"Bet not!" Lakekit suddenly took a deep and long breath. "Ready?"

True. I think all the deaths are on the front page)
Shellstream didn't seem to notice Deadpath's glances, too distracted with trying to haul the reeds in her jaws. "I think... this is enough..." she mewed through the reeds.
"Ready!" Glacierkit took a deep breath as well before letting himself sink into the water.

(You just listed who died, you didn't say how they died.)
Deadpath laid what he gathered on dry ground and looked back at Shellstream. "Do you need help carrying any?"
Longkit disappeared under the water. Frostlake flattened her ears in worry for her sons, but didn't stop them. Kits will be kits and she was right there if they didn't have the sense to come back up.

Oh. In that case, we'll have to look back or check the StarClan page)
Shellstream tried to shake her head, but it looked rather silly with the reeds flailing about. "I think I got it... we'll have enough." she muffled.
Troutfang met up with the two with reeds of his own, looking pleased with how much they had. "I think this is good."
Glacierkit tried to remain underwater, shutting his eyes so they wouldn't get stung.

(I forgot about the StarClan page, that's a good idea. So, Mossclaw was killed by a falling tree branch, Coppershade, Echosplash, Rosefrost were killed by smoke inhalation, and it was Sootfeather who drowned, and with Ashfaith, RiverClan only lost 6 cats...lucky ducks XD)
Deadpath nodded back to the siblings and quickly picked his reeds back up. He waited for Troutfang to lead the way back to camp and his gaze drifted over to Shellstream once again. With the camp in its current state, he wondered if he'd be able to find a shell or something else pretty that Shellstream could decorate her nest with. (Since RiverClan collects things to decorate their camp with.)
Lakekit made the mistake of keeping his eyes open while under the water. He squinted and blinked multiple times, just watching Glacierkit. He got so focused on trying to see his brother under the water, he didn't keep a good mind on his breath. Eventually Lakekit had to resurface, his jaws parted and gasping for air.
Frostlake stood up and nudged Glacierkit with her paw in signal for him to resurface.

A shell for Shellstream ) Troutfang flicked his tail for the two to follow him back to camp. Shellstream hauled the reeds alongside Deadpath, keeping close to him. Just as Glacierkit was starting to feel his breath running out he noticed Lakekit resurface thanks to Frostlake. He was relieved to feel his head break the surface as he gasped for air. "I- I did it."
