Smallkit grinned and seemed to be trying her best to control the giggles that were trying to overtake her, Finkit seemed a bit grumy that she hadn't found it but seemed to be overall happy that they had found it, "Good job!" she said as they brought it back, "Now do you want to hide it Rosekit or should we try a new game?" her mind wondered through the thoughts of what other games the clan had, Smallkit couldn't wait to try them all.

Silentshade gave Puddlepaw a small nudge and an encouraging smile, "Oh, come on. I'm sure you'll be back to training completely soon. And hey, now that I'm a warrior, I bet you'll be able to come out on patrols with me without another warrior to bother us." She mewed, liking the idea of being able to hang out with her friend more. "Earthstar would have to be crazy to not let you take your assessment with your siblings." "I bet Earthstar will be more than happy to give you another apprentice as soon as you leave the Nursery." Thawfrost said as he watched her eat the fish. After a while he turned his attention on to their kits, smiling as he watched them play. "I can't believe how much they've grown in such a short time. They'll be apprentices before we know it." "Yeah yeah. Sure." Puddlepaw chuckled, brushing off the idea of Earthstar at the moment. He doubted that he would be given the chance if left solely up to the leader. Earthstar probably didn't care at all how Puddlepaw felt. He focused on Silentshade instead, flicking his tail. "Not having other Warriors bother us sounds great to me. You're cooler than them anyway, I'd want all my attention on you." He admitted. "You think he would?" Orchidnight asked lightly, a hint of hope in her eyes at the prospect. She had loved training an apprentice, and hoped to do it again one day. For now, she glanced at their kits and gave a light sigh, both fond and a bit worried. "I just hope they don't walk into danger thinking it's bravery. I can't bear to lose any of them..." Silentshade chuckled and raised a paw to bat at Puddlepaw's shoulder playfully, "Aw, look at you, being all sweet on me." She teased, grinning at him. Silentshade did have to admit that she enjoyed the attention Puddlepaw seemed to give her, but besides that, she genuinely enjoyed spending time with him. "Careful, or you'll end up giving me a big ego. But I am pretty cool, aren't I?" "I think you definitely proved yourself to be an excellent mentor, you might even be on par with Nightflame." Thawfrost said with a smile, looking back at her as he spoke. "And with you as our kits mother, I'm sure that they won't do anything that they shouldn't." He added.

He wasn’t very good at hiding it, and he wanted to play a different game. “Let’s play mossball.”

You give me too much credit.” Orchidnight breathed, inwardly beaming at the thought of being as skilled as Nightflame one day. She purred deeply. “You’re flattering me.”

(For you Fox!)
Foxripple watched the new apprentices for a moment longer, before he turned his eyes away and watched Smallkit play with the other kits. For a moment, his heart ached all over again for Graysplash, and the family they once dreamed about. It would never happen now, but he could always imagine. He turned, hoping to find something to distract him.

She noticed Foxripple not too far off and slipped up next to him. “Not like you to seem sullen.” Foxripple allowed his gaze to brighten at the sight of Minkstep, his voice smooth and flirtatious as he hid his aching pain. “Sweet of you to be looking out for me. I missed you while you were gone, I always do.” He purred, eyeing the fish, before he swooned. “I love a she-cat who can fish with the best of them.”

It was… a long time ago, you know. Nothing that you’d remember, before your time.” He mused airily, though he found himself looking away for a moment, lost in memory.

He was kind in his own way and sometimes she felt like she wanted to be close with him. “Compared to you, I probably am.” Foxripple joked, shaking out his glossy coat as though to prove himself wrong. He took great care of his fur and health, but above all, he had never wavered in confidence. Yet, he knew he had feelings for Minkstep that frightened him. Not because he was new to this, but because the thought of moving on from Graysplash in a serious relationship beyond meaningless flings was one that made his heart ache. He looked at Minkstep, mewing after a moment. “The apprentices today. Their uncle was… he and I were close. You never knew him, but he was my best friend. So, I suppose I’m just having old memories.” He was half telling the truth. Graysplash was his best friend. But he had also been his mate, in the darkest times to ever come to the Clan. Adderclan had killed Graysplash, and that had killed a part of Foxripple forever.

You're a gifted apprentice, so don't worry too much about it." "I'll flatter you as much as I can if it means spending the entire day with you." Thawfrost purred, touching his nose to her cheek. "But I actually do believe in your mentoring abilities, Orchidnight. That isn't just me flattering you." He added.

Starters:
Marshpaw sighed as he glanced at the camp entrance. He wanted to go train with his mentor or at least some of the other apprentices, but he’d been caught up with the elders half the morning and now wasn’t sure where to find the tom.
Smokestream and Slatefur were enjoying the noontime sun by the riverside, watching the water pass by. Warm breezes rustled their fur, lending relief to the aches in their bones.
Birchtail stretched each limb out, scraping her claws against the pebbly ground. In the recent storm, she’d noticed some of the stones around camp had shifted to expose rough edges. Not wanting to see any scraped pads, she’d started flipping a few back over, particularly by the nursery. But the whole process was a little embarrassing, digging around in the dirt, so she was going at a very slow rate and fixing them only when others weren’t looking. But her paws were getting muddier and muddier, and it was getting harder and harder to avoid attention.

"Well, most of them don't have nearly enough rivers or streams to practice in." Diamondheart admitted, before a humored smirk crossed his face. "That, and most of them would be too scared to try. They've got to steady their spines before they can try and come close to the kind of skills we learn." He waved his tail as he sought out a good stretch of river to practice in today. He needed a slow current, since this would be a move to use in slow moving water. "Don't tell my brother I said that at the next gathering." He chortled. (Here ya go, Willow ) Thank youuuu ) Sproutpaw flashed a smile, "I don't think I'll be confident enough to go speaking with Thunderclan warriors yet. I barely got the courage last gathering to speak with the apprentices from the other clans." Sproutpaw took in the section of river that they had stopped at, feeling less nervous as he took in the lazy waves lapping over the stones of the bank. He would be okay with Diamondheart beside him.

"Oh, little one." Owlwhisker chuckled softly, his voice gentle yet honest as he admitted. "I wasn't born here in Riverclan like you were. There was no nursery or kind Queens where I grew up. My sister and I had to learn to take care of ourselves. But you'll never have to know what that feels like, and that's a very, very good thing." He assured, before he purred gently. "My sister's name was Tessa. She was... very strong, and very bold, but she could be a bit mean at times to cats she didn't know. She was scared, but she had to hide it and be strong." He blinked thoughtfully, almost sadly. "She... walks in the stars now, I think. She's not here, anymore." "I won't forget them." Pondkit promised, his voice sweet and promising, before he trained wide eyes on the rest of the nursery. He watched Finkit, Smallkit, and Rosekit playing, and asked. "What're they doing?" "What's that mean? She walks in the stars? Did she find a way to get to the clouds?" Iriskit asked with a pout. "They're playing a game. You could ask them to join if you'd like." Littleshadow mewed, nodding to the older kits. "I'm sure they're eager to play with you and your siblings."

For you, Willow ) Petalcreek sat outside the warrior's den in a patch of sun, grooming her fur as she enjoyed the sun's warmth. Giving her paw a lick and dragging it over her ear, she glanced around the camp briefly. Now that the ceremonies were over, she figured that maybe she should join another patrol soon.

(Replying with Diamond in this quote reply too lol) Diamondheart chuckled once as he slipped into the water with Sproutpaw. The deputy moved easily through the current, his strong muscles visible under his silver and white coat. "It gets easier the more you try at each gathering. You'll meet cats from other Clans that are deserving of alot of respect, and who will respect you in turn. When we go next, I'll tell you who is who, and help you socialize." He promised, before he stood across from his apprentice. "Okay. This move is all about shoulder strength, and keeping your body upright in the water. A cat your size can easily knock down a cat my size in the water." He started. "You won't really understand it fully until you're older, but when a cat falls asleep forever, they travel to another place, and leave their body behind." Owlwhisker tried to explain, his eyes creasing thoughtfully. "That place is called Starclan, where Clan cats go and it's happy there, and you never get hungry or cold. That... is where my sister could be." He lied, knowing that Tessa had no belief in Starclan. Would she even be able to go there? Where was she now, if not there? He felt his heart break. He might never ever see her again, and that hurt badly. "Oh... well. Maybe tomorrow..." Pondkit cowered a bit, suddenly shy at the idea of playing with the bigger kits so soon.

Minkstep watched him closely as he seemed to think over her words a moment. She glanced back towards the apprentices den. “It was gray… graystone? Grayriver?” She spoke. “I’m sorry your friend is gone..” she said softly. “Graysplash.” Foxripple corrected quickly, the name coming out more sharply than he intended. He cleared his throat, apologizing lightly. “Sorry, sorry… Graysplash was his name. He died as bravely as he lived. He was amazing, but he didn’t deserve to die so young.” He breathed, heart aching at the horrible memory, of watching Graysplash fall to his death into the ravine after fighting bravely against Foxripple’s father, who had been Graysplash’s own mentor. They had been so close to preparing to flee Adderclan once it first started, and that day had destroyed the dream Foxripple had to see Graysplash safe from Adderstar’s terror. Foxripple had been forced back to Riverclan that night, numb and on watch, as Graysplash had been labeled as a deserter who had deserved his death. Foxripple had left as soon as he had the chance, escaping with Earthstar and right into the security of Thunderclan and back into Blazepelt’s leadership. But Graysplash was gone, and part of him had died with him. He laughed sharply, the memory tucking away as he looked at Minkstep. “I told you it was heavy. You shouldn’t have to worry about that. Your company is all I need right now, so I’m glad you made your pretty way over to me.” He mewed, honest.

“Well. Forcing it won’t do any good. You could try the jealousy route, but that becomes messy.” Stonegaze hummed. Jealousy? "Could you elaborate?" he asked, ears perked up. (Oops lol. Didn’t see it) “I mean, you acting sweetly with Ospreystrike to get him to realize that he doesn’t have time to waste or that he’s not the only cat who could want to impress her.” Stonegaze shrugged casually. “Though, you and I both know you wouldn’t be seriously interested in her, but your brother won’t know that.” He smirked knowingly at the tom.

"Oh." Iriskit mewed mystified. "Will I go to Starclan one day?"

The hollowness he felt with most cats he had cozied up to after Graysplash’s death was not present with Minkstep. Instead, she genuinely filled a hole in him, enough to terrify him. He nodded numbly, knowing he would go anywhere she asked. He tried to tease. “Ooh, a walk with just us? You’re a charmer, Minkstep, what will the Clan think?”
