I hope everyone has been doing well! Work was a bit slower this week with school getting ready to start up. Still super hard to believe that on the 26th, my daughter starts preschool. Like...whaaat? Time goes so fast.

I really wanted to work on Tide's Turning and I probably will soon, but I had to finish the whole Move to Another Country thing. And it is mooooostly done.

Debating if I want to brave the rain to pick up my new library card.

Oh, cool!! I want to be an editor, haha. For a while I was seriously looking and then I stopped bc I was having a hard time finding anything.

Hello again! This weekend has been loads of fun. Saturday my husband and I went to a music festival. It was the second year for this festival. My state's burn unit had an awesome fire performance they put on. There was a bonfire, and fireworks. This event features a lot of cover/tribute bands that are locally based, or somewhat local. My favorite was Lou Fighters, a Foo Fighters tribute band based near Detroit, Michigan. They were great!

Today was my daughter's first day of preschool. I actually didn't cry! So yay! We actually have to leave in about 20mins to go pick her up from school. Preschool is only 3 hours a day, 4 days a week. I really hope her first day went well. We have been super productive today. Went to the store to do a bit of shopping. Came home and did some cleaning that we would otherwise do when she naps or after she goes to bed. It has been a super productive day.

How does your daughter like preschool?

That is such a valid anxiety. At my school library, you can rent out rooms. At some public libraries I've been to as well.

Anyone have any tips for noise suppression? The household I'm living in seems to refuse to close doors softly in the evenings/early mornings. I get about 4-5 hours quiet in the middle, surrounded by banging.

I think my daughter likes preschool. Although, she cant really tell me...which kinda sucks. I cant wait for the day that I can ask her how her day went and she can actually answer me.

Shes picking up on some new skills. Like, apparently she knows what a circle is. She makes this known by approaching me, pointing to the button on my pants and saying "I got a circle!" in her adorable little voice. It is super sweet.

Recently, I decided on a demotion at work so I could have better hours and be home more with my daughter. Also, working at 345am is not good for me anymore. So it was a good decision for me to make. A hard one, but a good one. I will be losing about $900 a month, but I am hopeful that my husband's job will make up for most of that loss.
