if u think killing innocent animals that pose 0 threat to u for fun is a good thing pls never talk to me hahahahha Whoah chill out I donate deer meat to our local homeless shelter. Are you vegan? I'm not stereotyping you its just that with a statement like that you'd be a hypocrite if you ate meat. keywords: for fun I love meat but u cant just go around murdering the friendly local wildlife for fur or for sport. tht's just disgusting. if ur going to take a life, have a good reason to. what u do is respectable because ur putting the animal's body and life to good use and helping ur community by keeping those who may not be able to afford it the nutrition the require to survive. but killing a deer just for the antlers or a trophy, and then discarding (aka not donating or eating) the remains is 100% not ok imo

I think it's fine if you are hunting for food, but trophy hunting is disgusting. There is no reason to kill an animal just because it looks pretty and you want it's head as a trophy. For example, Cecil the lion. He was lured out of his territory and beheaded, all because he looked pretty and the stupid dentist wanted to show him off. Things like this should be illegal.

It makes you think that they are wasting it.

Taking down a deer after tracking it and lining up the perfect shot is just really satisfying for me. And I try my best to use most of the body. I could probably make a cool headdress out of the pelt and antlers o3o

I'm way against hunting—have been since I was a child. But it depends on the circumstances in all reality.
I only support hunting if it's for actual good use. If you aren't going to eat the meat yourself, you could always give it to conservations for the homeless and starving. The pelts could be used for the same thing. But I highly disagree with it if you hunt it for food, despite the fact that you have a fair amount of money and can easily go to the store.
As for hunting for sport, that's a huge no. I will be the stupid animal activist that I am and say that hunting for sport is a thing worthy of punishment. I could write a fifteen page essay on this matter (and I have before), but that isn't really worth anyone's time. We could go to the store, but most of my family is from Alaska and we just don't buy meat from the store often. It's just part of a tradition. Plus animals on farms are abused, or at least that's what I heard. Never have I not heard that statement. Aggressive (hint: aggressive) vegans always use that as a tactic to try and get me on their side, but like?
It's a whole lot more than that. Not that I agree with abuse or anything like that by any means, but those are farm animals. They are raised to be slaughtered. Their populations are purposefully thrown through the roofs so that they have an endless supply of meat. If people actually did things instead of just complaining about it, yes, the abuse would end. But by not eating their products and saying nothing about it otherwise, they'll simply assume that the meat isn't good enough and they'll do far worse things to try and "improve" it. And if it really bothers you that much, go ahead and change your diet to insects and herbs instead. They're very high in nutrition and substitute for the vitamins that you wouldn't get from just veggies and fruits.
But in the wild, populations are not so regulated. They cannot be controlled or contained as easily as farm animals can be. Too many dead animals in the wild, the balance will crumble and things will die. Foliage, predator populations, prey populations, water levels, weather, etc. will be severely damaged if too much impact has been made. Ecosystems are fragile things. It's not just about morality. It's about thinking of the consequences before doing so. Which is why I have a terrible problem with illegal/over-fishing. Fish are incredibly important to the ecosystem, as are deer, rabbits, etc. If the population of a specific species in your area is too high, and there are little to no predators to control it/the predators are damaged by the increase, then go ahead and hunt. It's all about balance.
But, it's your way of life. It's a family tradition of yours. I do not want to force my views and beliefs on you simply because I disagree. I'm just simply stating my stance.

To be honest, I find hunting for food a lot better than buying the meat that came from farms and such from stores. The animal would have been free, and probably would've had a much better life than those at the farm. Plus, they are killed immediately and most likely won't experience much pain. I'm okay with hunting for food, however hunting for sport is utterly disgusting imo.
I myself don't hunt, due to how I grew up and the area I live in.

I wish hunting for sport and wasting the animal should be illegal. Hunting for food is different because like I said, if I'm going to be killed then I wanna be called yummy at least. Taking a life without a reason is kinda...not good. I don't hate people who do that but I would try to persuade them to atleast donate the meat to a homeless shelter or something.

I support it for certain reasons like population control and substinence. But there are some African countries where a large amount of funding for conservation efforts comes from trophy hunting (which in some of these countries is highly regulated). The real enemy is poaching. Widespread slaughtering of animals (as in thousands) is sick as opposed to only a few by wealthy people with too much money on their hands.
But that's my opinion and I'm just going to leave it at that. Goodnight.

As someone who basically eats only meat, of course I support hunters. I live in a place where while hunting is relatively confined to certain areas, it's very very common, and everyone uses every bit of the animal. That I can appreciate. I've hunted myself before and I only go with people that put every bit of the animal to good use. I am against hunting animals that are seen as prize animals or have low population. Mostly up here we just hunt deer because there are way too many, it's a problem. But again, people up here use every bit so I think that's a pretty good thing.

If it is in means of food, then yes I support it. I mean you gotta do what you need to survive right? Otherwise, hunting for game I am totally against. It's not right to take a life away from a living being just for the fun of it.
