As a hunter I would like to know if your for or against it. In my opinion, hunting for sport only isn't right. However, if you hunt for meat it's ok in my opinion. If I were being hunted then I at least don't want it to be for nothing.

my lil note: if you go out and hunt exotic animals (e.g. Leopards, elephants, etc.) solely for sport and """trophies""" you're a deplorable human being with nothing to offer the world js

I love hunting! I just can't go out much because of my anxiety...

I understand hunting as a means for food and also things like deer that are a dime a dozen and are overpopulated. Like I'm okay with that. But when you go to Africa and hunt a lion like

For meat- yes. I do. It's at least not going to waste. But for sport is despicable.

Hunting for food is alright given it's not too much and it's an animal that is overpopulated.
However, hunting for sport and hunting rare animals is not okay.

I never want to shoot an endangered/exotic animal. I also dislike coyote hunting because people only use the pelt. I'm not against it but I don't feel right knowing I'm never going to use a lot of it.

If for sport and endangered animal trophies, then NO. But if it's for food and or to take down an overpopulated species, then yes, I'm cool with it.

Sanders @lorekeepercrow ʀᴀɪɴʟᴇᴀғ 🍁 I'm not a fan of hunting for sport either. I primarily hunt deer, squirrel and rabbit and I try to stay away from anything related to poachers. (That moment when you realize your very southern...)

Yeah that's fine. Personally I don't hunt and probably never will. I don't really like the thought also I don't like guns very much. I mean you can hunt without guns but that seems worse

The fact that you're not wasting it's life is at least respectful enough, if you know what I mean by that.

Hunting for meat only. It's wasteful to kill (or possibly maim) an animal if you aren't going to eat it.
Except for fishing. I think sport fishing is fine, provided it's done correctly and legally. Fish don't have the same pain reactors as we or other animals do, so I don't see anything wrong with bait-and-release.

I've shot a small .22 rifle and pistol before, but nothing very big. And I took archery for a year, so I'm not a terribly shot with recurve.

I just think it would be so amazing to line up that perfect shot and see the arrow go straight into your target animal <3 Besides, it would be great for me because I always hate how loud guns are.

i am the militant vegetarian that your mothers warned you about so im against eating meat as a whole but really i have much less of a problem with people who actually hunt for meat and use the whole animal than i do with people who go to the supermarket and could easily get tofu instead of meat u feel me. its still not necessary bc you COULD go to the supermarket and buy tofu but at least its not a factory farmed animal that was kept in a tiny cage all its life yknow... however if you just hunt for sport and like, post pictures online of you squatting next to the beautiful animal you just killed and you dont even eat it... screw off As a girl with like..ten vegan friends, I respect and agree with your argument. I've actually tried to become vegan once but it's very expensive and my family doesn't have the money to buy food specifically for them, and separate for me.
