i am the militant vegetarian that your mothers warned you about so im against eating meat as a whole but really i have much less of a problem with people who actually hunt for meat and use the whole animal than i do with people who go to the supermarket and could easily get tofu instead of meat u feel me. its still not necessary bc you COULD go to the supermarket and buy tofu but at least its not a factory farmed animal that was kept in a tiny cage all its life yknow... however if you just hunt for sport and like, post pictures online of you squatting next to the beautiful animal you just killed and you dont even eat it... screw off How is tofu, anyway? I've heard it's terrible but I've only heard from hardcore meat lovers like myself. Also I won't lie, I'd totally take a selfie with a deer I shoot, but I wouldn't let it go to waste either. I'd make some decent deer steaks and maybe use its pelt to make something cool.

Hunting with a recurve bow would be so cool! Hard, but cool. I just think it would be so amazing to line up that perfect shot and see the arrow go straight into your target animal <3 Besides, it would be great for me because I always hate how loud guns are. Your triggering my imagination! That sounds so exciting!

☂ I love animals a lot, but I don't mind hunting, under two circumstances: 1) the animal is not marked as endangered, 2) the person is hunting to eat the animal, not for sport.

Does the meat have to directly linked to you? Like you have eat watch you catch. Or could it be like sold or donated or something to someone else.

Ahh that's awesome!! I have a recurve bow, but have never hunted with it. I've always wanted to learn to shoot a crossbow, rifle, or shotgun. I've always wanted to go hunting, too. I've shot a small .22 rifle and pistol before, but nothing very big. And I took archery for a year, so I'm not a terribly shot with recurve.Luckkyyy I definitely want to learn to shoot! I can do a recurve at about 40 dw but I haven't in a while so my strength is probably gone lol

Does the meat have to directly linked to you? Like you have eat watch you catch. Or could it be like sold or donated or something to someone else. Pretty sure it can be sold? Not sure, but we've gotten meat from friends before. Not for money, but I imagine that selling it isn't bad? But I know there's a certain amount of deer you can hunt per season so it would probably base to follow that guideline.

My dad hunts and he says that whatever he catches, he sends it over to my uncle's butcher. We've never had to worry about the kills per season because deer hardly show up where he goes, despite there being tons all over the country.

I tried it because someone called me a terrible person :/ im just a vegetarian sadly because of the above reasons but i really want to be a vegan anyways i went vegetarian around two years ago because i suddenly realized eating meat just doesnt make sense for me? i dont remember how it happened really it just clicked with me that eating a pig or a cow is no different from eating a dog or a cat. to me the driving reason behind it is that i dont HAVE to eat meat; it tastes good, sure, but thats not worth the price of animal suffering. every once in a while i think it would be so much easier to just eat meat but i always think about how i would be directly funding animal suffering (and destruction of the environment -- factory farming is SO bad for the environment) and its just not worth it to me. ive always been a huge animal lover so its just a matter of whether my momentary pleasure is more important than the life of an animal, and to me, it isnt

for meat, i guess it's okay i mean it's in our nature to hunt, all predators do it
but for sport it's definitely wrong - it doesn't matter if you kill them ''humanely'' or whatever it's still terrible. i absolutely hate when people hunt beautiful animals and take photos of them smiling next to them with a trophy. it's cruel and terrible. im sorry but that tiger that they just killed needed that fur more than they did.
even if it were for meat i don't think id be able to kill an animal - not unless i was starving to death or something like that. id just hate myself forever tbh,bc im the sort of person that hates myself for accidently stepping on an ant.
but nothing against anyone else - that's just my opinion

I want to go hunting, but I want to take the safety test before I do though. im hoping me and mom could go sometime this year during deer season. anyway, hunting for sport I cant really express my opinion on it correctly, but I think hunting for just a trophy is ok if you actually eat the meat too, but otherwise its wrong if you leave perfectly good meat to rot.

For food, then it doesn't matter to me. (Depends on the animal, too.)
For sport, never. That's disgusting.

ffff I accidentally voted for the fourth option. I don't mind legal hunting for sport or for food. A lot of money from hunters goes to conservation of the animals they like to hunt.

I'm way against hunting—have been since I was a child. But it depends on the circumstances in all reality.
I only support hunting if it's for actual good use. If you aren't going to eat the meat yourself, you could always give it to conservations for the homeless and starving. The pelts could be used for the same thing. But I highly disagree with it if you hunt it for food, despite the fact that you have a fair amount of money and can easily go to the store.
As for hunting for sport, that's a huge no. I will be the stupid animal activist that I am and say that hunting for sport is a thing worthy of punishment. I could write a fifteen page essay on this matter (and I have before), but that isn't really worth anyone's time.

I'm for it as long as the animal is used (and by that I also mean taxidermy/using the pelt, but preferably use the meat if possible - like, you might be used to your typical venison and stuff, but you can also eat stuff like bear; I've had bear burgers and bear jerky at my friend's house before). I live in a relatively rural area where there are a lot of hunters (to the point that first day of hunting was basically considered a valid excuse to be absent from school), so it's a common part of life here (I've never been hunting myself, however; my dad stopped when I was young because of the time involved in the entire process).
As far as trophy hunting, I'm okay with it *if* it's managed well. Well-managed programs identify a local "problem" animal, and the hunter has to pay a large amount of money, which then goes toward the local community and toward conservation efforts - there's also a limit to how many individuals can be hunted. Not all programs are like that unfortunately, and they need work, but if they're managed in a way that will help poor communities and benefit conservation like that, then they can be beneficial.

We could go to the store, but most of my family is from Alaska and we just don't buy meat from the store often. It's just part of a tradition. Plus animals on farms are abused, or at least that's what I heard.
