James pulled two chairs away from the wall and set them around a round table in the corner. He moved to a small shelf and pulled out a large bundle of maps and charts of weather and water activity. Moving back to the table he set them down and dropped into his chair. Glancing at Grace, he slowly started unrolling a few charts. "I've been keeping track of the weather and the waters movements while I was here. It might be useful if we think we might run into some rough water or bad weather" He said lightly.

Grace watched James for a moment before carefully sitting down in one of the chairs. Silently racking her mind for anything that could help pick a course to take, there were a few things like activity in the area that would need to be taken into account. When he sat down and started talking she snapped out of her thoughts. Interest showing in her eyes when he started to explain the charts. "That is actually good information... Do you mind if I take a look at them?" She asked quietly.

James held back a proud smile and nodded, "Sure" He said, passing her a few water and weather charts. When he was younger, he had lived on a farm and weather tracking was always something he'd grown up with, something he'd always know how to do. Water tracking was something he taught himself as the years went by. He only hoped his predictions were accurate. Most of the time they weren't far off.

Grace quietly looked over the charts, mentally keeping notes of what she read. "These are impressive, my father taught me ways to predict the weather but I've never been one for writing them down." She complimented lightly, passing them back to James. Honestly he was impressing her more and more as someone who had spent a lot of time with experienced sailors since she was a little girl. "Those should help." She commented thoughtfully.

James, unable to hide his grin, took them back from her. "I grew up on a farm when I was younger. Weather predictions were a big part of that kind of life." He said lightly with a small shrug as though it wasn't a big deal. However the warmth of pride spread through him like a wildfire. James set the weather and water predictions aside and pulled out the various maps. He spread them out, holding the edges down with various things about the room. "So you think they might be sailing south by France?" He asked as he studied the maps, glancing up from them to look at her.

Grace look at James quietly, holding back a comment about him being a farmer. She never would have guessed that he was from a farm being captain and all. Forcing herself to turn her attention away from him and down at the maps. Gently she reached out and pulled on closer to her, carefully scanning over it; biting her lower lip as she thought. "Not south, they have no reason to go south if they were already at Spain so I'm thinking north. I heard that they were last seen somewhere along here," Pausing to point out a small spot along the west coast of France. "So my guess is that they headed for the English Channel... And I know someone who lives on Jersey who would probably know all of the sea gossip in the area that could help if we don't find anything." Stopping she looked at James. "That is if you want to get close to the English Channel." She knew that the English weren't terribly fond of pirates and the Channel would have a lot of activity.
( I'm sorry if I'm throwing in a lot of geographical stuff x.o )

James frowned, examining the map for a long time before sighing. "So we've got two choices." He said, looking up from the map at her. "We can sail for Jersey first and hope we get good information from your....friend. Then leave and hope your ships haven't made it to the English Channel." He stopped for a second, glancing back down at the map before continuing. "Or, we head straight for the Channel and hope we beat them there. This way however there is a chance they changed course and are going somewhere else and since we didn't stop for information, we waste time going to the English Channel and we put ourselves in danger with the navy stationed there" James looked over the map. "I've no problem getting close to the English Channel. I've done it once before, provides a bit of an adrenaline rush" He flashed a small grin up at her, "But it isn't easy."
(No problem xD)

Grace thoughtfully tapped her fingers on the table, it was easy for her to pick which course. "Well seeing as Jersey basically is in the Channel we should just got there, that way we can hopefully get some information and not get too far in if there is no reason too. We'd just have to be very careful as the Navy is in that area and many people in Jersey are loyal to the British crown." She decided carefully, looking down at the map and tracing out the Channel with her hand as her eyes narrowed; this was going to be tricky.

James grinned. Oh the thrills of a risky plan. He stood and grabbed a pencil, tracing the route she point out. He glanced at the water and weather charts. There was a large storm marked down near Jersey, but if they moved fast enough they could be there before it struck. He sat back down and pulled a rolled up piece of cloth from the shelf behind him. He unrolled it to reveal a British Navy Flag. "First, I think we ought to change our colors. Just for this occasion" He said with a smile.

Grace quietly watched James mark the route on the map, this was bound to be an interesting trip. Noticing his grin she was unable to keep herself from commenting. "You look all too thrilled to face danger head on." She commented jokingly. A grin appearing on her face when she noticed that he was grinning, oh this was going to be so dangerous. Then he pulled out the British flag, her eyes widening in amazement. "Are you really going to use that? Going through the Channel is one thing but pretending to be part of the Navy is kind of extreme." She pointed out in uncertainty, but truthfully she was terribly excited to see if that actually worked.
( I feel like these two could get into a lot of trouble if someone let them cx )

James smirked, "What kind of a pirate doesn't like a bit of a thrill?" He teased a bit and then nodded at her second question. "Well we'll be able to make it further with this flag. If they see a pirate flag, they'll follow us and probably blow a hundred holes in my precious ship. But if they are only looking at flags and they see this beautiful piece of clothe. We might get a few extra hours.....or minutes" He said lightly with a small shrug. "I found it saves time to simply pretend to be a part of the Navy, the only bad thing. If they approach to talk about something important that you don't know about." He said flatly, but the wide grin, showed his spirits were anything but dampened by this statement.
(XD Probably)

Grace raised a single eyebrow at James. "Not sure I've met one yet, I've seen cowards but thrill seeking pirates are common until they have to fight." She pointed out with complete seriousness. Leaning forward in the chair as she looked closer at the flag. "That is possible, I've slipped through there many times by disguising my fleet as a bunch of trade ships; they rarely bat an eye. But this will be interesting to watch." She said with an edge of amusement in her tone. "Well then Captain Madman, we'll have to see if your little Navy trick works because I think we've got this route planned unless there is anything else you can think of."

James smiled shook the dust and dirt from the flag. "Oh, we'll get through on the planned route" He said with a wide smile. He stood and tucked the flag under his arm, moving a chest in the corner. "Do tell me, Miss Reaper, have you ever worn a British Navy uniform?" He asked with a small smirk upon his lips as he shuffled through the clothing inside the trunk.

Grace observed as James shook the flag then began going through the chest, would they really get through on the planned route without any problem? Catching his question she chuckled lightly. "As a matter of fact I actually have, Captain." She replied with joking bluntness. Folding her arms as she kept watching him with an amused smile on her face.

James smiled with approval at her answer. "Then you won't have a problem wearing oe of these" He pulled out a British Navy uniform and tossed it at her. "I would've given you a dress, but women don't normally sail with the Navy, so we'll have to pass you off as a cabin boy" He said with a slight frown.

Grace caught the uniform and looked at it carefully, holding it up so she could see the entire thing. Letting out a huff at James. "I should've know." She commented halfheartedly, looking up at him. "The sea doesn't like girls much anyway... But this should work because I don't need them figuring out who I am." The thought of ending back up in prison didn't interest her as that was the last place she wanted to be. "Now to figure out how not look like a girl." She muttered to herself. Grace would have a bit of a problem with her facial features as she was obviously a woman and on top of that enemy to the British Navy.

James nodded in agreement and pulled out a second British Navy uniform. But this one was the make of a Captain's uniform. He checked the clothing for holes and then turned back to Grace, closing the chest. "We can make you look a little dirty on the face to hide your feminine facial structure." He said thoughtfully. "But the dawn might help cover you up. Since I don't have enough uniforms for my whole crew, we're going to have to arrive early in the morning. In the mornings, only a few crew members are awake plus the Captain and the Cabin boy. So we need to time it just around sunrise and it will be you, me, and a few of my trusted crew members." He explained carefully.

Grace draped the uniform over her arm with a small frown of distaste before looking back up at James, shrugging at the suggestion of making her look dirty. "The earlier and darker the better... Do I have to wear this when we get to Jersey though? I know how to get around there without getting caught while not looking like a boy." She asked, truthfully she wore pants often but the uniform of the English Navy wasn't something she wanted to be seen in while getting information from her friend on the island.

James chuckled lightly. "You can take it off as soon as we get past the navy. I'll be taking mine off as well. If I left it on the crew might think I'm siding with the British." He joked, "And we can't have that in the middle of the sea." He tossed his uniform onto the bed across the room. He then gathered the British Navy flag. "I'll fly this when we get about a day away. Can't have any pirates thinking we're the British"

"Oh thank goodness." Grace muttered softly with a sigh of relief, it was really too bad she couldn't just burn the uniform as she was sure James would want it back for future uses. Folding her arms and letting out a soft laugh at his last comment. "Well one thing is certain, if I saw that flag I'd sink your ship faster then anyone in the Navy who figured out you were an imposture." She mused with a sly smile. Walking a few steps in the direction of her room. "I'm going to put this ugly thing away."

James grinned and laughed. The excitment of what was to come was already settling in and making him happy enough to almost be giddy. "Right, well just don't loose it or throw 'the ugly thing' out" He teased and started putting all the maps away, leaving weather and water charts out just in case they needed them later.

Grace nodded. "I'll try not too." She replied before opening the door and slipping into the room. Closing the door tightly behind her and taking a deep breath before opening a drawer on the small dresser, neatly setting it inside with a frown. This had better work because she would much rather die then go back to prison, and dying wasn't going to be an option. Roughly closing the drawer and stepping back out of the room. "So we've got everything covered, right?"

James finished putting away all the maps and turned at Grace's voice. He shrugged a bit, "Well, as much as we can cover. It's never a positive that we'll make it through, but if your worried about being caught." He paused for a second, growing much more serious, "I won't let them catch us." Turning sarcastic almost immediatly he added, "I wasted to much of my shirt to soak your blood earlier to let you get caught now" He teased lightly.

Grace slowly nodded a smile appearing at the mention of his shirt getting wasted. "That shouldn't happen again, and I'll try not to waste any uniforms as well." Letting out a amused huff. "I'm not worried about caught by the Navy, if they attack your ship I can always bail out of here." She added jokingly, there was noway she was going to allow her fear show itself around other people.
( Well I'm not sure what to do now. )

James shook his head and laughed a bit. At least they weren't arguing. He sighed and sat down, "Well looks like we'll be eating a good meal pretty soon." He said lightly, "You could join us if you'd like. If not I'll bring something up here for you" He said with a small smile.
(We could skip to the day they are arriving at the English Channel and stuff)

(Sure xD I'll just start it where they are getting ready to eat)
James jogged down the stairs, landing on the deck of the ship and turning. He opened up a oaken door, immediately hit with the scent of freshly cooked food. Not that it really smelt that wonderful, they were on the sea after all. But it was better then usual as the men had stocked up on breads and meats from the town. James sighed and smiled, jogging down the steps that lead below deck. As the room opened up, he was hit with the jabbering and conversation of the crew. Shouts of laughter and a bit of singing here and there. "Oi! Where's the food Stroman!?" James shouted cheerfully at the cook. The chubby man looked up with a wide grin. "Coming soon Captain, take a seat and take a drink" Stroman replied, sliding a tankard of ale to the other side of the bar.
