( Okay that helps, thank you cx )
Grace had left the Captain's quarters shortly after James but she didn't follow him, partly because she couldn't help but feel the slightest bit of awkwardness on this ship as she was a guest; but also because she was interested in cautiously looking around. Being able to admire the sea was something she was enjoying, having gone down on the deck and looked out across the seemingly endless water. Glancing around when she heard what sounded like singing and cheering from below which made her increasingly curious. She walked to where the stairs led below deck and quietly gazed down them before taking a quick step away, also trying to ignore the scent of food that was wafting up the stairs.

James grabbed the tankard and took a quick drink before grinning as the bowls of beef stew and slices of toasted bread began coming from Stroman. James quickly grabbed one and glanced up at the stairs. It seemed Grace wasn't coming. He hid his soup and bread beside him and quickly asked for another. Stroman passed him a bowl of soup and bread and James quickly ate it, smiling and laughing as the crew tossed around stories and jokes.
(xD No problem)

Grace inwardly contemplated staying up on deck, pushing her hair back thoughtfully for a moment before making up her mind to go below deck and at least attempt to feel less awkward. Taking a deep breath before quietly walking down the stairs, glancing around when she could see. Walking down the last few steps and just standing there are she looked around curiously while trying to figure out what to do with herself.

(Ahh I feel so horrible for Grace! XD)
James shook his head with a small laugh. He'd been having a very interesting conversation with one of his crew members. A wench back on the marine town thought the sailor had proposed to her. Turned out it was another man, but the story was a good one to tell. Very comical. But suddenly all the laughter and conversation stopped abruptly. James frowned and turned around, immediately spotting Grace standing at the bottom of the stairway. A wave of sympathy crashed through him when he realized the crew was just staring at her. James stood up, slapping a hand on the bar. "Well how about you all stop gawking before the food gets cold. Wouldn't want to waste a meal" He said cheerfully and was relieved when the crew turned back to their plates and the drift of conversation slowly started back up. James moved beside Grace. "Didn't expect you to join us" He said quietly to avoid being heard by the others, "but its nice to have you down here" He smiled and passed her the bowl of soup and slice of bread he'd kept for her.

( She'll get over it cx ) ( That story though )
Grace quietly stood there watching the crew as they all seemed to be staring at her, sure she was used to attention but being stared at all the time by men she didn't know was an odd feeling. James suddenly standing up and slapping the bar inwardly startled her. Folding her arms as everyone seemed to go back to what they were doing. "I wasn't planning on joining in either." She quietly responded, raising an eyebrow at the food before sitting down in a spot away from pretty much everyone else.

(xD I had to make up a quick story for the moment xD)
James sat down beside her and smiled. "Then what made you change your mind. I know it wasn't the singing, the voices of this crew could kill a man a mile away" He said sarcastically with a wide grin.

( Quick stories tend to be pretty good. )
Grace merely shrugged. "I've heard worse." She commented lightly, stirring her soup boredly with the soup before taking a mouthful. Pleasantly surprised by the fact that it actually tasted as good as it looked, savoring the taste for a moment before swallowing. Glancing back at James down that her mouth wasn't full. "Still not sure why I came down here."

(xD Yea, they do)
James smirked, slowly eating his slice of bread. "Maybe it was because you wanted to be social. That's always a good reason" He said lightly with a small smile. He picked up his soup and took a bite. It was so much better then what they were used to having. Hopefully they didn't run out of the ingredients any time soon.

( We should randomly use those from time to time. )
"Perhaps." Grace muttered softly, turning her attention back to her food. Hungrily eating about half of it and dipping her slice of bread in it before eating pretty much all of it in one go. "Or it could be because the food smelt good." She added thoughtfully with a small smile, she probably looked like she had no manners at all.

(That would be interesting xD)
James nodded and finished his own food. He glanced over at Grace, she certainly didn't eat like a lady. But he wouldn't judge. She probably hadn't had a nice meal in awhile. He laughed at her final comment, "It did smell pretty go didn't it?" James chuckled with a smile, "well its nt always this good, I think everyone's enjoying actual meat, bread, and broth" He said with a sigh, leaning back in his chair.

Grace quietly finished the last of her food, then glanced back at James. Giving him a shrug as her gaze traveled around. "Honestly I didn't think it would taste all too great as sailor food is normally dull and flavorless. But this is good." She admitted out loud, quickly adding the last part so she didn't appear rude.

James smiled, "Well we have a pretty great cook" He said lightly, "And the long stay at that marine village proved enough time to purchase plenty of meat and bread." He said with a grin. But yawned and cast his gaze about the cheerful crew. "I suppose the same meal everyday will get pretty dull, but it'll take awhile." James finally said, turning his head to look back at Grace.

Grace nodded in acknowledgement. "That must have been nice being able to get supplies while being stuck there with that storm." She commented thoughtfully, while looking around curiously at all of the men who were down there. "The same thing every day will probably get dull quicker then you'd think." She added with the ghost of a smile, turning her gaze to James. "And then everyone would just get sick of it and never want to eat this again." Her tone made it obvious that she was joking.

James nodded, it was nice to get supplies, but he probably wouldn't do it again. The feeling of being stuck on land was not something he enjoyed. Unsure if she was joking, James stayed silent until her final statement. It was then obvious by her voice that she was merely messing with him. James grinned, "You're probably right, but then they'll just have to shove it down their throats because food is food, even if its not that great" He said lightly.

"Good point." Grace commented, nodding quietly. "Now if you'd excuse me, I think I'll go back to looking around above deck. It was nice speaking with you." She excused herself, standing up and weaving around the few men between her and the stairs. Quickly running up the stairs, welcoming the scent of the salty ocean air as she walked over to the side of the boat and glancing around quietly.

James watched her leave, a small frown gracing his features. She left so soon. Was something bothering her? James sighed, it was probably none of his business. But he should probably check on her. James passed his bowl to Stroman and gave the cook a hearty slap on the back. "It was good Stroman! Haven't tasted food like that in a long time" He said gleefully and then headed toward the stairs.

Grace looked wistfully down at the sea's dark, rolling waves. Folding her arms while leaning against the bulwark. It was nice to have some peace and quiet with just her and the ocean, this was bound to be a long trip even if everything went smoothly. But she needed to sort out some minor details on her part for once they located her small fleet.

James quietly pushed open the door, immediatly being hit by the col salty breeze. He shut it softly behind him and looked around, spotting Grace looking down at the ocean below. Approaching cautiously, he shoved his hands in his pockets. "Something wrong?" James asked lightly.

Grace glanced over her shoulder when she heard someone coming up the stairs, seeing that it was merely James she looked back at the ocean with narrowed eyes. Raising an eyebrow when James asked her if anything was wrong but kept her gaze downward. "No." She replied quietly with a shake of her head. "Just thinking." Straightening her posture and taking a small step away from the bulwark before finally turning her gaze to James.

James nodded, his gaze moving down to the hypnotizing movement of the waves. Thinking.....was she nervous about the plan? She did have a daughter to get back to, maybe she was worried. But he was afraid to press, or offer any comfort. She'd probably push my away or get angry like she did before. So he tried a different approach. "Your still on with the plan right?"

Grace silently studied James's face thoughtfully, was he doubting that she was still interested in the plan they had only just come with that also seemed to be their best bet? "Of course." She assured with a simple nod, hopefully he wouldn't think she was doubting the plan. "If I had found any problems in the plan I would have let you know, luckily I haven't." She added to try and be more convincing on the matter.

James glanced over at her, studying her for a few seconds before looking back down. He stayed silent for a few moments. If she was fine with their plan then what was wrong? He would venture to say she was worried about her safety, but obviously Grace was not that kind of woman. James just couldn't see what it was that she could be thinking about. So he ventrued off to a new topic. "Tell me about Ireland. I've never been there before or seen it from a distance. I've only ever heard stories." He paused for a moment, "Are there really sea serpents surrounding your country or is that an old myth?"

Turning her gaze back to the darl At the mention of Ireland Grace seemed to light up, a obvious smile showing on her face. "Well I'm not sure where to start but alright." She replied, thinking for a second and taking a deep breath. "It's not much of a country seeing as we have clans that our kin live in, and there are dozens of clans. So we don't exactly have a king or queen -you can be considered one- just separate chiefs, so there tends to be battles over the silliest of things." She explained, that was one thing that she decided to clear up before going on. "But aside from that it is wonderful... I personally haven't seen any sea serpents but you never know, although I would avoid dancing with the faeries as it's not considered safe." She added with a light laugh.

James turned from the ocean as she began talking about the clans and such. His journey to become a pirate was fueled by his love of exploring. His need to know things and his thirst to see new lands. Ireland was a land that had always been of interest to him, but he'd never sailed there before. James raised an eyebrow with a grin, "Faeries huh? I didn't even know faeries would dance at all, what happens when you dance with one?" He asked curiously.

Grace leaned back against the bulwark with a laugh at the question, people normally asked that question or would glare of in the distance claiming faeries were demons. "I don't know but it doesn't look good." She answered with a grin. "Just don't drink too much and wander off on your own at night, then you shouldn't have to know what it's like." She advised, the more she talked about her home or Ireland the more her fake English accent was replaced by an Irish one.

James laughed and took note of the Irish accent that was slowly taking form in her voice. He shook his head. "I'll keep that in mind if I ever go to visit" He said lightly with a grin. "Any other crazy creatures that I should know never to dance with?" He joked lightly, but his eyes glimmered with sincere curiosity and interest.

Grace raised an eyebrow at James . "Personally I'd just avoid dancing, there's less trouble that way." She advised lightly with an amused smile. "Wandering off isn't a grand idea either as someone would probably shoot you for breathing their air." It felt nice to talk about her home after being away for so long and being unable to come in contact with other Irish folk, yes being back in Ireland would have been better but this was alright.

James laughed, "Well, I've never been much of a dancer anyways" He said lightly. He continued to listen, drinking in every word with extreme curiosity. He thought for a moment and then asked, "Huh. Is that because everyone is every protect of property or is it a sort of clan thing?" He asked curiously. In the farm country where he grew up everyone was a friend. You wander off, they give you shelter, feed you, and if need be, give you a bed to sleep in until you or your family came to get you.

Grace pondered the question for a moment. "Yes the clans have a lot to do with it, if you have an alliance with another clan they are unlikely to touch you; but if your long dead grandfather insulted their friend's sheep it was a rather poor idea to go on their land. Thankfully in my area we have some lasting alliances which help avoid trouble." She explained thoughtfully, having been well taught in these matters since she was a child. Huffing in mild annoyance at the thought. "It's difficult to fix many of the silly problems but it can be achieved."
