James jogged down to the post, having already told his crew to get the ship ready. He gave the man the letter and paid the mailing cost. In a few moments he was out of the post and moved toward the dock. After checking up on his crew and jogged back toward the hotel, ready to tell Grace they would be leaving in the next 5 or 10 minutes. Hopefully she had all of her things together. He'd hate to get delayed another few hours.
(xD I know, he's like a little kid who can't control his curiousity xD He's trying though, trying very hard xD)
(Yea, I know the feeling. We actually started ours a week late because my mom didn't have all the plans and we just didn't feel like starting xD)

Grace finished the last page of the book, closing it before getting up and quickly putting all of her things in the chest. Pulling out a small brown cloak then carefully draped it over the chair, also taking out her weapons belt and putting it with her cloak along with a couple throwing knives. Making sure everything was as clean as she could make it before standing in front of the window and gazing outside to watch the townspeople and the docks.
( School doesn't sound too fun so I'm okay with this cx )

James reached her door and tapped lightly, stepping back and waiting for her to answer. He was a be anxious to get back to the sea, but he tried to keep himself still. It was difficult, but he shoved his hands in his pockets and stood, hoping he looked somewhat patient.
(Lol for me it was fun the first like 2 days and then it lost all its glamor xD)

Grace glanced over at the door when she heard a knock, quietly letting out a sigh to herself before turning away from the window and walking over. Unlocking the door and opening it to see James, folding her arms and leaning against the door frame. "You got your crew sorted out?" She asked with and edge of boredom in her tone.
( But intelligence! )

James nodded, "They're preparing the ship to leave dock as we speak" He said lightly. He almost grinned at 'leave dock', but held himself back. He looked at Grace. "Have you got all your things packed up?" He asked politly.
(xD Still oh so very boring)

"Hopefully they don't leave without you, they sound eager to leave." Grace noted with an amused huff. Taking a step back and gesturing to the chest that contained her things. "Yes unless I need my swords... Which are locked in there." She replied, walking over to the chair that had the belt and cloak before quickly putting them on; finishing by sliding her knives into place. "If I don't need them I am set to leave."
( True... ) ( I need a nickname for you. )

James smiled lghtly and then stepped inside, grabbing the chest and hefting it up. "You shouldn't need anything. My men aren't completely uncivilzed. Although I would watch the types of clothing you wear around them." He said lightly, "They don't see women often." Hefting the chest higher, he gestured toward the door, hoping to avoid any awkward conversation about his crew. It was true however. They rarely saw women and could get a bit carried away. But James trusted Grace could handle herself well enough.
(Hmm, well people who knew me on the old forums call me Amber, one called me Amby. You can also call me Dime or Poet xD)

Grace chuckled and held the door wide open for James. "I will be on my very best behavior then for their sake, I'd hate to end up destroying any of your crew." She responded back lightly with a amused roll of her eyes. That's how it was with most crews as it was believed that women did not have a place on the sea, but there were always those ones who disguised themselves as men but it wasn't the same, which disappointed her but of course there was little someone like her could do about it.
( Okay, I shall call you Amber then! You can call me Valkyrie or any shortened version of it, or Wise, or even Ness as a lot of people on the old forums called me cx I like having nicknames for people tbh. )

James shook his head with a small laugh and stepped outside the door, moving down the stairs. When he reached the bottom he glanced over his shoulder for Grace and then continued forward. "They really shouldn't be much of a problem. I honestly think they got their fill of woman while we were stuck here. Now they just want to see the open sea again." He said lightly, speaking not only about his crew, but also about himself. Not the women part, just the sea part. He was simply tired of land.
(Ohhhhhh, I'm gonna call you Rie, but you pronouce it like Ree xD I like nicknames too, mostly because I feel to form calling people by all of their username xD)

"Well that's good." Grace commented quietly her interest shifting from the conversation. Noting that as they neared the bottom of the stairs there was another door, quickly slipping around James and the chest to open the door. Holding it open for him while glancing around outside quietly.
( I like that c: dude same, unless it's like four letters long. )

James nodded and grew quiet. He gave her a small nod of apprication as she opened the door for him. He stepped outside and continued to the docks. When they reached the docks he stopped and glanced around before gesturing to a large boat docked to their far left. "That's the one" He said proudly. He was very fond of his boat. It suited him well.
(Yea, but I hate the ones like my name where there are like 50 different names you can call them xD)

Grace silently followed James, keeping her hands hidden inside of her cloak near her knives occasionally glancing around just in case; still worried about the bounty hunters. Stopping and looking up at the ship, she had to admit it was nice but it didn't exactly fit her taste; but then again she'd never seen a ship that she liked as much as her own. "Not bad, I can see why you'd like it." She commented, thoughtfully admiring it for a moment. "What do you call it?" She asked knowing that most sailors gave their ship a name.

James smiled at her comment. He was proud of his boat and was extremely happy that she found it to be a nice looking ship as well. He looked over his shoulder at her second question. A small grin touched his lips and he started forward. "Well, truth be told, originally, we called her the Red Reaper." He said lightly as he continued toward the boat. "But now we call her the Bloody Mary." He said, tapping the side of the water craft with it foot and a plank lowered down for them to walk up.

Grace raised an eyebrow at James's answer. "Do ya mind me asking why you called it that?" She asked curiously. "And the Bloody Mary sounds better anyway." She added quickly, finding that it had a better ring to it's name as a ship and the fact that she liked the idea of the Red reaper being her title and her's alone. Following behind James while running her gaze over the rest of the ship.

"Well" James started with a bit of embarressment. "When I first became a pirate. I'd only heard legends of the Red Reaper. I thought if I named my ship after the legendary Red Reaper, it would strike fear into enemies hearts. But the name never stuck. Never seemed to fit. So finally I just changed it." He smiled, standing on the ships deck. He looked over at her, "Bloody Mary does sound better, much better" He turned started up the stairs toward the captain's courters. "This way to your room then" He said in a much happier, gleeful tone.

Grace tried to suppress a a grin when she heard his explanation for the name, letting out a laugh whilst shaking her head. "You know I forget I've had that title for so long, let's see I've been sailing for ten years and I've gone by the Red Reaper for eight of those years even though back then I was still messing around with my dad back when the fleet was his. It's nice to know I'm a legend... But naming your ship after some crazy queen is better." She thought out loud, the last part sounded far more amused then the rest of it. Following him up the stairs while looking around to see if she could spot any of the crew, other pirates always made her curious because there was generally a chance she at least heard of them in her pirating world.
( I've decided that even though this RP is set in like the real world with the maps and stuff, it's not as set in stone with details so I don't have to figure out a time period or anything because I like details. )

James laughed lightly, "I've been sailing for 5 years" He admitted with a small shrug. He would've never gone sailing in the first place if it weren't for the Red Reaper. But those were more personal stories that he'd rather not share. Plus Grace probably wouldn't enjoy those stories. James pushed open the captains courters door and motioned her inside. Then he noticed her glancing for the crew. He cracked an amused grin, then commented lightly. "Their all below deck, preparing oars and getting supplies settled. They'll be up soon enough to get us moving"
(Okey dokey xD that makes details a bit easier xD)

"Impressive." Grace commented thoughtfully, there wasn't many pirates she had met who were captain and had only been sailing for five years. Most of them had been at it for far longer then herself. Quietly following James inside, her gaze running across the captain's quarters before looking back at James when he spoke about the crew's whereabouts. "Oh, that makes sense." She said thoughtfully with a small nod.
( Sorry, I'm really detail oriented and it makes it difficult for me cx )

James nodded a bit in a simple reply then he stopped in the center of the room, setting her chest down. He turned and looked at Grace. "Well I figured a woman sleeping with the crew below deck wouldn't be very smart. So you can stay in this room" He gestured to the room they stood in-"Or you can stay in that one" He pointed to a door to the left of them. "That room is a bit smaller, but it's got a window for a bit of a better view." James said lightly. "It's your pick"
(XD It's alright)

Grace nodded in agreement, this was probably better then being stuck with a bunch of men. Quietly looking around the room this one seemed alright but she didn't mind less space in exchange for a window to look out. "The one with the window works for me." She replied thoughtfully. She enjoyed natural light and being able to see outside, it seemed less like prison that way and being stuck places without much light didn't really fancy her.

James grinned, "Alright" He stepped toward the door and pushed it open. It was a good sized room, with a bed in the corner below the window. It had a few shelves on the sides for books or maps and a small dresser with a oil lamp on the top of it. It was a bit dusty due to its lack of use. Hopefully she wouldn't mind. He turned and picked up the chest, moving it into the room and setting it on the floor. "It hasn't been used in awhile" He said lightly in excuse for the dust.

Grace quietly looking around the room, it wasn't too bad; sure there was dust but that was manageable. A small smile forming on her lips before shrugging at James. "It works for me so long as I don't suffocate because of all your dust in here." She replied jokingly with a grin. "But in all seriousness this is perfectly fine, I can handle a bit of dust." Walking over to the small dresser and running her finger across the top of it, lifting it to admire all the dust. Truthfully she wasn't the cleanest person, yes she liked things neat but she forgot to clean things all the time if it didn't involve her precious fleet.

James smiled and glanced out the door. It was time. "Well Grace, if you wanted to see a bit of my crew in action, now's the time" He grinned and briskly walked out of the captain's courters. "Raise the flags and start the oar's men! We've got a ship to sail!!" He shouted, glee dancing in his gaze. Hoots and cheers could be heard below deck and a group of sailors burst from below, darting about the deck. Lowering sails and tightening ropes.

Grace looked up at James, wiping the dust off on her skirt and turning to follow. A spark of curiosity showing in her green gaze as she cautiously walked out behind him, watching the crew with interest but she didn't want to get too close to them; having figured it was better to stay at a distance and just watch for now. Smiling at their eagerness to leave and get back out to sea, this sparked some excitement in the girl when it seemed to set in that she was leaving as well.

James glanced over at Grace with a small smile. At least she seemed happy to be out and about. He looked back at his crew, bracing himself as the oars on the side shifted in the water and the boat rocked backward, slowly moving out of the harbor. Deciding it was time to announce their guest, he gave a shrill whistle through his fingers and the crew stopped, turning to look. "Well done men! We're back on the seas!" Cheers roared at his words but they quieted as he raised a hand. "And we've got a passenger this time" He gestured to Grace. All eyes moved to the lady and James glanced over at her with a small grin, they were probably waiting for her to say something.

Grace lost her balance for a second when the boat rocked underneath her, clumsily moving her feet to make it seem as if nothing had happened. Then her gaze darted around from the crew to the sea until James whistled causing her to curiously look back at him; listening to him intently before the ghost of a smile appeared on her lips when she heard them cheer, it was like music to her ears. Then when they quieted she realized that James was now talking about her and that the entire crew was looking at her. This attention made her uneasy as the entire crew were strangers who didn't have the slightest of clues who she was, she needed to get used to this. "Uh..." Pausing awkwardly as she looked at the crew. "Hello?"

James held back a small laugh at her reply, but the crew didn't hold back their laughs and cheers for her. He held up a hand to silence then and continued his annoucement. "This young lady will be traveling with us for the time being. She is our personal guest and I trust you will all treat her with hospitality. We'll be taking her to her destination and then we'll get to our own destination." He said loudly and the crew nodded, cheering along with this. They were fine with anything that meant being on the sea again. "You'll all treat her with respect and if I catch you trying to rough her about, well, you all know the punishment" He said in a more serious tone. He wouldn't tell them of Grace's numerous weapons and fighting abilties. If they wanted to try a hand at her, they'd find out themselves. "Now get back to work!" He shouted and the curt nods, the crew went back to their posts.

Grace blushed a little when they started laughing and cheering, they really didn't seem too bad for first impressions in her opinion but it would probably take her a little time to really see what they were like. Glancing over at James when he mentioned a punishment with a raised eyebrow, she was ready to beat up anyone who touched her without permission or roughly; that was just kind of how she did things. Silently watching as they all went back to working. "Well that wasn't too bad." She muttered under her breath.

James grinned at Grace's muttered words. He turned toward her with a wide smile. His mood was lifted at the sight of the slowly shrinking docks and the widening sea ahead of them. "They aren't to bad at the begining. But they'll start to show some colors as the days turn to weeks" He said lightly. "So, shall we look at a map and set an exact course?" James suggested, taking a short step back toward the captains courters.

Grace quietly nodded at the first part, it would be safe to assume keeping her guard up at all times would be wise. "That would be a good idea." She agreed, the quicker they sorted out a course the better. Even though the sight of the sea lifted her spirits the girl just wanted her fleet back so she could go home, she had been gone far too long for her liking and only time would tell where her fleet was. Following James back to the quarters.
