It had been a couple days since their meeting with the bounty hunter and Grace had been recovering from multiple bruises and the cut across her arm that had to be stitched shut. She had been spending most of her time in a room at the inn to avoid the bounty hunters knowing where she was. At the moment the ginger was curled up in large chair covered with a quilt while intently reading a book about sea monsters, something that easily caught her attention.

James sighed, pushing himself away from the small stool. Over the past few days, he hadn't done much. He waited around for the doctor's news each day. He'd said Grace was improving. But then all James had to do was wander about town and try to remain hidden. It seemed all the bounty hunters thought that going back to town wasn't on their list. Because James hadn't seen a single bounty hunter from the shack. James grabbed the piece of bread and meat from his meal and made his way up to the inn rooms. It was probably time he actually checked on Grace himself. James stopped her door and knocked politely.

Grace had barely turned to the last page of the book when she heard a knock at the door, quickly setting the book down and standing up. Her brown skirt getting caught underneath the rocking chair and causing her to trip, falling onto the ground. "Ow!" She said to herself out loud, tugging her skirt free and standing up. Weaving around her mess of room to the before brushing off her white shirt and opening the door. "Oh hi!" She greeted, running her hand through her messy hair. Her room was a mess, there were books, parchment, ink, quills and maps everywhere along with freshly polished weapons that wouldn't be safe to trip over.

James raised an eyebrow with a small frown when he heard something tumble to the floor and then the exclamation of pain that followed. When the door swung open he slowly grinned at Grace's ruffled appearance and her mess of a room. "Well someone's been relaxing the last couple of days" He said lightly, teasing her a bit before asking. "So how are you feeling?"

Grace huffed and rolled her eyes at James. "I wish, feels more like imprisonment." She joked lightly, casting a fake glare back at the messy room before shrugging. "I've been better, just wishing this would go away." She replied, gesturing to the yellowing bruise on her face before absentmindedly rubbing her injured arm that had a bandage running from her wrist to elbow. Narrowing her eyes for a moment before glancing up at him. "How about you?"

James laughed lightly and then shrugged at her question. "Restless, there hasn't been anything to do but hide from bounty hunters. And I don't think I've stayed in a town this long before. I swear I'm starting to have dillusions about sailing" He said lightly and then glanced down the hall. "Mind if I come inside?" James asked then added with a playful grin, "That is if I can even find a place to walk"

Grace nodded in agreement, she knew exactly what him meant. "I'd think the weather will be clearing up in a few days here." She pointed out as the storm seemed to have lessened the past few days. "Oh! Sure come right in." She invited, her cheeks reddening as she took a step back; her manners could use a little work. Picking up the knives that were everywhere and placing them with a set of twin swords inside a chest before closing it. "See if you can walk in now. " She teased.

James smiled ligthly and stepped inside, being careful to avoid stepping on anything. He managed to find a chair and gingerly sat down. Slowly leaning back he looked at Grace, "So, what will you be doing when you're all healed up and healthy again?" He asked curiusly. It was something that had been nagging at his mind. Obviously it wasn't a secret anymore that she was the Red Reaper, but she didn't have a crew or ships any longer. Would she just stay here forever?

Grace sat down on a stool and smiled to herself. "Oh I'm getting out of here, I can't stick around too long anyway with those bounty hunters; and getting hung doesn't fancy me either." She answered, casting a glance out the window that overlooked the docks. "Land isn't my kind of place, I belong in Ireland with my people not here." She added, taking off her signet ring and rolling it between her fingers.

James nodded in total agreement with the majority of her statement. He raised an eyebrow, "Well how do you plan on getting out of here? With all the bounty hunters about it'd be dangerous to try to hired your own crew. And I didn't think you had a ship either" He said logically, thinking about her situation. Then spoke again, "You mean you aren't interested in your stolen ships? I'd want to gut whoever stole my ships the minute I could get my hands on 'em"

"I know." Grace muttered halfheartedly. "I'll find a way out of here even if it almost kills me." She added, as the chief of her clan she was supposed to be there to lead or at least leave some instruction. And as of late she had been imprisoned, stolen from, and the stranded. "Oh please I'd do more then just gut them, that would take all the fun out of it. Besides I trust my crew more then anyone else I've ever met in my entire life, they are great people who are extremely loyal so whoever took my ships must have done something crazy for them to have not taken my fleet back." She thought out loud, glancing up at James.

Ah, Ty))
Peter sat on the edge of a dock, his feet hanging over the edge. He was pretty young, only about 14 or 15 judging from his looks. His clothes where torn and dirty, and a bit to big for him. He had strawberry blonde hair, and freckles almost everywhere, and to finish it off, silver-blue eyes. He was starring at the water bellow him. He was a orphan, and did jobs where ever he could. He had verry little money, a thin frame, but he seemingly always had a smile on his face. He liked the way he lived, and wouldnt want it any other way, other than a bit more food to eat. "Welp, better see what we can find to eat Rufus." Peter patted the brown, long-legged mut next to him before pulling his legs up and standing. "I have a few coins, we can probaly buy a loaf of bread and a apple. C'mon." He whistled to the dog before heading towards the market place
(I dont realy care what kind of rp this is .3. )

James smiled grimly and nodded. It seemed like some sort of mystery to him. He rubbed his chin in thought and leaned back. "Well, then they probably weren't bought off of you then." He said thoughtfully. Then, while in his thought process he thoguht of something else. James looked up at Grace, "You know, I've got a ship, and a crew wlling to work and leave this town any day now" He said slowly, "I wouldn't be opposed to, you traveling with my crew. We culd take you were you want to go and then continue on our way" He suggested lightly.

( I have an idea for Grace but I'm not sure how/if I could use it... )
"Hopefully not." Grace muttered to herself with a sour expression, the thought of them doing that disgusted her. Sure there was a few new guys who were more likely to have been bought, but if any of the others had... That wasn't something she wished to dwell on. Narrowing her eyes thoughtfully at the offer. "What if I do not know where I want to go at the moment? I'm still trying to find my ships here." She pointed out carefully.

(I'm okay and open for anything xD)
Jams nodded, thinking about her situation. He frowned a bit and then sighed, "You haven't got any clues as to where your ships are and who took them?" He asked cuiously. If they had a clue, even just a little bit of information, it might help her find the ships. James, being stuck in the town for weeks, was unable to plan another raid or course for his crew becasue he wasn't on teh water testing the weather and observing cities. He wouldn't be opposed to helping Grace find her ships if she needed help. He was sure his crew would be more then happy to just be out on the sea again.

( Oh yeah and happy Labor day! )
"No I've got some." Grace answered standing up and walking across the room to her mess of parchment and maps, picking out a few before coming back. Gently laying a larger map out on a small table and placing a single finger on it, "Last time I saw my ships-a couple months ago- they left here from this bay and were set to make a quick trip down to Spain Portugal. I know they got there but then I was kind of put in prison, but when I got out another sailor I know filled me in on the fact that they had some other captain to just slipped in and took them. Then they had been seen by England, then France but that's all I know and who knows if those are right or how long ago it really was." She replied, pointing out each place on the map with a frown.

(Thanks! xD Just a heads up, I'm going to be very poofy the rest of this week and I'll probably only get on in the mornings.)
James frowned, "That new captain must have a lot of influence to just slip in and take over" He thought outloud and then sighed. "So they were last seen near France-if that information is true-. Do you know if this new captain is following your own plans or is he making his own? I don't understand why they'd be close to France, the raids there never come out with much gold. Most people along the coast are poor" James said, his frown deepening.
(Hmm, that sounds a bit complicated, but fun! I'm up for it! Sorry it took me so long to answer, I've been having a rough few weeks xD)

( Okay! It's completely fine c: I'm sorry you've been having some rough weeks, those are no fun. )
Grace shook her head. "We don't go along France unless absolutely necessary when going to or from Spain as we can just go straight up and be faster with less ships. And when we do have a reason to go along France it's this west part over here, not the northern part that is close to England." She explained, pointing out each pace or route on the map. Then quietly ran her fingers along the European coastline thoughtfully, biting her lip as she carefully examined the common route along there.
( Are you sure? I had deleted it because I wasn't sure about it. The thing though with doing that Grace would be more mature? I guess. But if not she'd be far more of a risk taker. What do you think? Because I'm not sure at the moment, I know I can easily make it work but should I? )

James watched her trace routes on the map with a small frown. He sighed and ran a hand through his hair. "Do you want to start toward the western half of France. If the sighting there is true we could find information. See which direction the ship was headed in the least. We could find something useful" He suggested, leaning forward to get a better look at the map. It'd be a few days travel, but they could make it. And they might make it faster with an enthusiastic crew. (It's getting better, hopefully I'll be great by the end of this week xD) (Yea, its perfectly alright with me! Well there is always room for more character development, she could get more mature as they sail or get ready to. It doesn't sound like a bad plot to me. I think you should do it )

Grace nodded quietly, "That would probably work, I could possibly check in with a few sources that might have some information over there if we can't find them." She decided letting out an amused huff while rolling her eyes at a thought. "As long as no one has the harebrained idea of going to America, India, or anywhere in Asia for that matter; they should be relatively easy to track down with the right knowledge. They should be somewhere along here:" She said running her finger across the European coastline. "Or if some airhead is feeling adventurous they could be in the Mediterranean."
( That's good! Have you started school? ;n; )
( Okay so I'm going to roll with that plot now, thus also giving her a little girl. cx )

James nodded and stood up. "I can go get everything together right now if you'd like. The crew is anxious to get out anyways" He said lightly with a small shrug. Truth be told, his ship was practically ready to set sail. He'd been packing it and patchign up any cracks ver the last few day. Jaes itched to get back on the ocean and was a bit excited at the thought of leaving soon. He glanced at Grace, "I can get you anything you need while I'm out as well, that is if you need anything?" He asked, raising an eyebrow.
(Yea :/ Sadly xD But I'm homeschooled so I get done with my subjects pretty fast)

"Do as you please, with the storm clearing up I'd assume your ship is almost ready to leave anyway." Grace responded, she was an experienced sailor and captain so it only made sense to her for it to be almost set to leave. "Oh! I have a letter I would like if you could have it be sent." She remembered, standing up and walking back over to the pile of parchment. Picking up a sealed envelope before coming back and holding it out to James. "Please?"
( I haven't started yet but I am also home schooled rip )
( Ah yes, a miniature pirate chief with some violent tendencies. Perfect. )

James nodded, but stopped as she told him about the letter he turned to take it and lightly took it from her. He glanced at it curiously. "Who's it for?" He asked. The question came out before he could stop it. Quickly trying to recover, he added in a rushed tone, "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to pry-I was just-it just. You don't have to tell me anything. I'll just shut my mouth and deliver it" He said in one big breath, obviously a bit uncomfortable at his slip of tongue. It was none of his buisness, really. And this kind of curiousity is what made them argue so much when they first met and he didn't want to go back there.
(XD homeschooled buds xD I don't have too many subjects so I get done before lunch normally)
(XDDDDDD Ha, that's great. Sorry it took me so long to answer I was working hard on a clan and got a bit carried away with it)

Grace stiffened at the question, forcefully exhaling through her nose. Why was he so curious? That curiosity was the whole reason why he had been following her around a few days ago, and the same reason why the two of them ended up fighting then getting captured by the bounty hunters. She was used to not being questioned by others, people normally rolled with whatever it was she told them and that was it. But seeing as she didn't want him to distrust her over a simple little thing and throw her out in the middle of the ocean, answering the question wasn't that big of a deal. "It is for my aunt back home... She's watching my daughter and it would be most appreciated if you could mail it for me." The ginger replied stiffly, narrowing her eyes. Just like hardly anyone knowing the Red Reaper was a woman, they also didn't know that she had a daughter to keep her child safe from anyone who had a score to settle.
( Nice! I haven't started yet thankfully. )
( It's fine! cx )

James noticed her stiffen and was surprised that she even answered his question. His jaw dropped open. "You've got a kid?!" He exclaimed and a moment later slapped his hand over his mouth. Being nosy again. "Nevermind my questions" He said hurridly, knowing he didn't want to push her. He was lucky she didn't get to angry at his first question. And so to avoid seeing her expression, he rushed out the door before she could answer, closeing it soundly behind him. Curse his loose tongue. He straightened, tucking the envelope in his coat pocket before heading down the stairs.

Grace frowned at James, watching as he suddenly bolted out of the room and closed the door. Walking over to the door when she heard his footsteps going down the stairs and locking it tightly. Releasing a sigh before going back to the rocking chair and sitting down to finish the book and think in peace.
( He's so nosy cx it's very funny )
( ikr? I kind of want to start but my mom doesn't have everything sorted out yet. )
