Grace eyed the chain for a moment before closing her eyes so she didn't watch and praying that it wouldn't rip off. Once the creaking stopped she opened her eyes and sighed, that didn't go too badly in her opinion. Carefully keeping a hold on the wheel as it straightened back out. Chuckling softly. "You may want to bring the anchor back up unless you want to say here all day." She commented with a small shrug.

James looked at her for a moment and seemed to sputter, unsure of any comment to make. Finally he managed to stammer out, "W-well of course we're pulling up the anchor." He said flatly, spinning around and quickly yelling at a passing crew member to do the job.
(Sorry its so short. It's like 4 am and I'm SO tired xD)

The moment James turned his back on her Grace started quietly laughing, his reaction was absolutely hilarious. Leaning against the wheel while she tried to contain her amusement. "Just had to be sure." She assured, gently wiping at one of her eyes as if it had tears in it.
( Why are you up at 4 in the morning? you should be sleeping not roleplaying cx )

James looked at her with a roll of his eyes. "Your terrible at pretending." He said flatly. His face completely serious, but a small grin was itching to creep across his face. He shrugged his shoulders and shook his head, "Whatever helps you sleep at night."
(XD I'm at a friends house and we stayed up late. Probably later then we should've)

"Thank you, your criticism is much appreciated." Grace replied sarcastically followed by one last chuckle. Then quietly clapped her hands together before interlocking them. "So about how far from Jersey do you think we are now after that little mess?" She asked curiously, normally she would be paying attention and have figured it out herself. But his routes were different then hers, as shown by the ship graveyard.
( Oh fun! I can understand that cx )

James rolled his eyes at her comment and moved to adjust the wheel. He glanced around them and then sighed, "Well, give it about 5 minutes and we should see it as long as that bloody cabin boy doesn't spot a different peice of land." He said, the last part coming out quite bitterly. He could've lost his ship because of that cursed fool. He finished moving the wheel and passed it on to another crew member before turning back to Grace. "In other words, we'll be there shortly. Pack up anything your taking on land. Why?" He said casually, moving beside her to get out of his crews way and leaning lazily on the railing.
(Yep! We got 6 hours of sleep. I think that rather good for being at a friends house xD.)

Grace quickly moved aside when James fixed the wheel and then put someone else in charge, quietly listening as he spoke. Narrowing her eyes thoughtfully. "Alright then, I'm fairly certain that there isn't any other land out here but that would be interesting if we found some nonexistent island out here though." She commented lightly. She seemed to have everything she might need when they got to Jersey but it might be a good idea to go check again. "Just curious, this route is different from the ones I'm familiar with." She admitted, lowering her voice just in case anyone tried to overhear.
( That is pretty good cx I went to a friend's house a while ago and we stayed up way late, then I woke up early and ate gummy bears while they slept in forever. )

James chuckled lightly and shook his head. There shouldn't be any more 'island' discovers today. That was for sure. He'd have a chat with the boy later, right now he needed him to be looking for land. But afterwards, not so much. James shrugged, "Your saying my routes aren't the average routes?" He said, trying to sound offended.
(XD gummy bears are always great, no matter what time in the morning you eat them xD I'm actually surprised my friend slept until 10 with me. She's one of those people that if she goes to bed at 11 or 12 she will wake up at like 5 or 6 in the morning wide awake. So I was surprised with 10 rolled around and she was still sleeping xD)

Grace hardly glanced in his direction and shook her head jokingly. "Would the word 'yes' be a good answer?" She asked lightly with a roll of her eyes. "At least no one would think to follow you with such an absurd route, Captain." She smirked. Wringing out her hands nervously as she remember that they were getting closer to Jersey and any kind of clues as to where her fleet might be.
( Oh nice cx )

James pretended to look hurt but then grinned. "And that's exactly why I do it. And I've never been caught. Looting, raiding, its all a breeze when your a complete lunatic." He said with a sly grin. But he quickly noticed her nervous change in stature. James sighed a bit and leaned back against the railing, she probably wouldn't take to kindly if he pointed it out. So instead he made a subtle comment as though he was just saying it to say it. "We'll probably get to Jersey and they'll know exactly where your fleet is. It might even be there if thy got captured by the British. Who knows." He said lightly with a dissmissive wave of his hand.
(Yea xD)

A small smile crossed Grace's face when James called himself a lunatic, honestly he seemed to fit the description. "Let us hope that they weren't, while that would be nice as currently I am stuck with a madman," She teased lightly trying to calm herself. "I wouldn't want the British touching my fleet or those on board, besides then I'd have to prove that they are mine and that wouldn't end well." She shrugged, holding her arms while gazing out at the sea.

James laughed, "It was meant to help ease the tensetion. Not to be taken seriously." He huffed with mock annoyance. But he waved his hand dismissively. "We'll reach your fleet soon enough and then you can get away from this madman your talking about." He teased, looking ahead. Although he was much further away then the crow's nest. His eyes still narrowed and he scanned the horizon for any sign of land. He thought he saw something but he wasn't sure, he' wait a few more minutes.
(Ohhh! What if they get to the person in Jersey, but when they get there the house is completely ransacked and the only thing left is a severly beaten and unconsiouc crew member of Grace's fleet?)

I am aware." Grace replied lightly and rolled her eyes, James wasn't all that bad but the sooner that she could get back to her fleet and then Ireland the better. She merely shrugged before straightening up and taking a step away from the railing. "I'm going to make sure I have all the things I might need, might be back in a couple minutes." She informed James before quickly making her way through the ship and to the captain's quarters.
( o.o I intended for the to find someone from her crew but that would be a interesting twist. )

James nodded in a simple repy as she left. As soon as she moved to the quarters, he took the opportunity to move toward the crow's nest. He didn't want to just leave Grace in the middle of a conversation, but since she'd left, now he was free to go. He quickly climbed to the top of the crow's nest, moving up beside the boy. He leaned forward and after a moment or two a slow smile crept across his lips. "Jersey!! Jersey's just ahead!!" He shouted as loud as he could manage, quickly moving down and climbing out of the crow's nest.
(xD it was just an idea)

Grace had quickly gone through her things, slipping on a pair of black gloves and putting on a matching cloak before becoming certain that she had everything she needed, including the accursed report that had luckily remained her pocket. Hearing what sounded like James spot Jersey she took a deep breath before walking back over to the door and poking her head outside.
( I like that idea though, I need to figure out how to incorporate it but I think I'll use it. )

James moved through the crew, shouting commands at the crew members. The oars imerged from the sides of the boat ad the gradually picked up speed. He ordered them to raise the oars and they smoothly moved through the water, the land in front of them growing larger. When they finally reached the port, James put Berlin in charge of the boat and then turned to find Grace.
(Okay xD)

Grace kept standing by the captain's quarters as she silently watched the crew while they slowly approached the port, once they were entering the port she quickly weaved her way across the deck over to the railing where she could get a better look at the place. The sight of one of the few castles on Jersey sparked a grin on the ginger's face, luckily the port had enough ships for them not to draw attention.

James spotted Grace moving through the crowd. Cupping his hands around his mouth he shouted, "Oi! Ramps over here Grace!" He shouted with a large grin, waving her over.
(Sorry it's so short! My muse is a bit short today x.x)

Grace glanced over her shoulder in James's direction with a roll of her eyes, quickly she weaved back through the crowd. Doing her best to avoid getting crashed into or even stepped on until she reached the captain with a huff. "Are you certain? I'm beginning that your ramp is merely a quick shove over the railing." She commented while gesturing to the bulwark and water beyond it.
( It's fine cx we all get those days. )

James grinned, "And maybe it is." He teased, moving to the rail. They ship did have a proper railing, but this port was high enough it was a short jump to the deck. He smirked slyly at Grace and swung over the railing, quickly jumping off. He hit the deck with a short grunt and then gestured for a couple of his crew men to lower a ramp for Grace. Once lowered he stood at the end, giving a mock and teasing bow to her.
(Thanks xD)

Grace once again rolled her eyes as she watched him easily jump off of the ship, shaking her head at him in amusement. "Thank you." She muttered as the crew lowered the ramp before quickly making her way down it and jokingly shoving James as he bowed mockingly.
( You're welcome cx )

James stumbled back with a laugh. "I thought we were past the abusive part of this arrangement." He said with more laughter as he straightened and helped shove the ramp back up on the boat. He turned back around and sighed, looking around the city in front of him. Honestly, he'd never been to Jersey and he didn't want to let Grace know that he was completely helpless at the moment. So he turned to her, "Alright, so where is this person we're looking for?" He said casually.

Grace jokingly popped her knuckles while eyeing James playfully, "Are we?" She asked lightly for clarification. But her attention quickly shifted to the port, silently identifying a few of the ships that she knew the owners of before her attention snapped back to him. "You'll just have to find out, and are you implying that you wish to come along?" She asked with a raised eyebrow. Taking a couple steps down the deck in the direction of the decent sized city.

James held up his hands at her gesture in surrender and then chuckled. "Yes, I would like to come along. I didn't get off the ship for nothing." He said teasingly. "Of course as long as it's okay with you." He said with a sly grin.

"You can come, but I expect that you be on your very best behavior." Grace replied in a somewhat dignified manner, before walking off down the deck. Her gaze flickering around until she had past all of the ships and made it to land before glancing back to be entirely sure James was coming along.
( Sorry if this is boring x.x )

James sighed and shook his head. He looked at the large city and almost got caught up in a sort of tranc. When he realized Grace was far ahead of him, he leapt forward and quickly jogged to catch up with her. When he reached her he slowed and corsed her arms, looking around them before looking at Grace. "SSo how many times have you been to Jersey?" He asked casually.
(No, it's fine, I've been really busy lately or else I would be able to get on more frequently.)

Grace immediately began walking again once James caught up with her, narrowing her eyes at his question. "This side of the island?" She asked in uncertainly, quietly counting in Irish for a moment. "Over here it's somewhere between fifteen and twenty, the other side would probably round me up to just under thirty but they don't enjoy my presence over there." She added, her pace slowly slightly once they actually got off the docks and into the city to blend in a little better.
( If you say so. )

James raised an eyebrow. "Really? I've been here....." He slowly trailed off, pretending (with horrible success) that he was counting. "About 30 times, maybe more. I like that...bakery..." He said, pointing to a building that was actually a mailing post.

Grace quietly listened to James before suddenly stopping and rolling her eyes. "You are a terrible liar as that is not a bakery," She informed him. "Unless you can prove that you actually aren't lying and show me around." She challenged with a small dismissive shrug.

James opened his mouth in protest at her comment. It sure looked like a bakery. Was that a challenge? He couldn't back down from that, but obviously, he didn't really know where he was going. But he wouldn't let her know that. "Well how am I supposed to show you around if I don't know the destination of this place your seeking?" He said, crossing his arms, trying to get out of it without actually turning it down.
