(Yea, I type in caps out of excitement. Normally when I'm mad I just get off for a bit and then come back like an hour later xD Or I type out a whole rant to my friends to blow off steam and then I'm all good xD)
James groaned as a fist pounded on his door, awakening him from his sleep. "Go away" He moaned, rolling over and pulling the pillow over his head. For almost a minute nothing happened and James relaxed with a small sigh. Then a sudden wave of water poured over him. With a shout of surprise, James bolted upright, only to see Berlin standing with an empty bucket and a large smile on his face. "It's going to take weeks for these blankets to dry!" James fumed in annoyance. "And it would've taken weeks to wake you if I would've tried any other way." Berlin said in amusement. "Get out of here!" James said loudly, shooing the man away. As Berlin left James groaned and fell backwards, but his pillow was soaked as well, so his wet head simply landed in a squishy pile of fabric. With a low growl, James pushed himself out of his bed. He struggled out of his trousers and quickly pulled on another pair before tossing his wet shirt to the side. "Cursed crew" He grumbled as he yanked open his dresser drawers to find another shirt.

( I used to do that, but now most of my friends are gone so I just get off cx )
Grace was peacefully asleep in her room, curled up under the blankets with a knife sitting just a few inches from her hand; but that was relatively normal as the girl normally slept with some kind of weapon for personal safety. Truthfully the closer they got to Jersey the less she seemed to actually sleep, other nights she'd pace around or stay up thinking.
( Sorry it's short cx )

(xD Yea, I've got one friend, because I know her in real life and then my sister is on here too, so I just rant to them xD)
James finally snatched up a blue shirt and shrugged it over his shoulders. He flopped down in a chair, as sitting on the bed would get his pants wet, and pulled on his boots. With a sigh, he stood, glanced in the mirror and then shrugged. He wouldn't bother with his hair today, it could do what it wanted to. He turned away and moved toward the door, but stopped short and moved toward Grace's door. He knocked loudly with his fist and didn't bother waiting for an answer before shouting. "We're getting close to Jersey! You might want to get dressed before we get there!" He said loudly through the door before turning away.

( Neat cx )
Grace didn't move when she heard the knock on the door followed by James's voice, taking a couple moments for her previously asleep mind to register what was said before loudly cursing and sitting up in the bed, blinking sleepily before throwing the covers back and climbing out of the bed. Rubbing her eyes before rummaging through her chest for a relatively clean dress with muttering a few more curses under her breath. Picking out just her brown skirt and a white shirt before hastily putting them on. Then sleepily brushed through her hair and tying it back in a neat bun.

James paused at his door, listening to see if she was awake. When he heard rustling and a flow of curses a smile grin touched his lips. She was awake alright. "Feeling colorful this morn?" He asked with a small chuckle. He snatched up his spyglass from the table beside him and opened the door, looking out at the bustling crew. By the way the scurried around, they must've been getting close to land. James's gaze moved to the crows nest. Indeed there std a man watching for signs of land. James nodded curtly to himself. They seemed to be taking care of things well. And while they managed the ship momentarily he would go get himself something to eat before they ran out of that wonderful food.

Grace huffed quietly when she heard James, followed by rolling her eyes. She always felt colorful when woken up, plus they were approaching Jersey so she kind of needed to get herself together. Quickly putting on a belt around her waist, then grabbed one of her cloaks and quickly fastening it around her neck. Now to locate the report, carefully the girl opened a drawer where she had put the report. Retrieving it with her hand and placing it in a pocket. Then as she walked across the room Grace put her knife in the belt and opened the door, oh how she missed getting to carry her swords around.

James glanced over his shoulder as he heard Grace's door open. He gave her a short nod and then looked back out the door. After a few seconds he tucked his spyglass into his belt and looked at Grace. "Food is still being served downstairs. You can get some if you'd like or you can do whatever you like. Just don't kill of my crew." He said lightly before stepping outside and moving don the stairs. He trusted Grace wouldn't do anything stupid, so now it was time for a bowl of that meaty soup. Although he had to admit to himself, it was getting old, having the sam thign every day and night. But that was part of a pirates life and he welcomed it.

Grace quietly nodded in acknowledgement. "I'll do my best not to kill anyone." She assured jokingly, not feeling terribly hungry and nerves didn't help. So she'd probably go stand outside for a couple minutes and get some fresh air. Quietly walking over to the doorway where James was standing to glimpse outside.

James grinned and swung open the door to go below deck. He jogged down the stairs and into the open room. "Stroman! Give me something to eat before I starve!" He barked, sitting himself do by the bar. In moment's a warm bowl of soup and a slice of bread was in front of him. James quickly began eating, dipping his bread into the soup. He was halfway through his bowl when a loud shout came from above. "Land! Land ho!!" James practically jumped out of his seat. He shoveled down the rest of his soup and after taking a long, but fast swing of ale. He ran up the stairs and burst onto the deck. "Which direction!?" He shouted, moving toward the crows nest.

Grace had slipped outside and closed the door to the captain's quarters, quietly walking around the ship with a hand covering her knife just in case. Jumping when one of the men spotted land, it had startled her. Narrowing her eyes as she gazed out at the sea in hopes of catching a glimpse of land.

“North West” The boy shouted eagerly. James frowned, that wasn’t right. Jersey was supposed to be east of them. James huffed with an increasing frown and moved to the crow’s nest. In a few seconds he’d pulled himself to the top and he quickly moved beside the lad. “Show me where exactly.” James said flatly. The boat was already turning toward the supposed land sighting, and James didn’t think to stop them at the moment. The boy grinned and pointed past the raging seas at a fast approaching mass on the sea. James narrowed his gaze and studied the mass at it got closer to the ship. Suddenly, his eyes widened, “Wait, turn this ship about!! It’s not land you bloody fools it’s a ship graveyard! Turn us around before we’re smashed on the rocks!” He shouted loudly and urgently as he scrambled to move out of the crow’s nest. His gaze moved out to the sea, it was too late; they were going toward the graveyard to fast.

Grace slipped away from where the crew was when she saw James come back up so she could quietly watch from a distance to see what was going on. Wait did she just hear something about a ship graveyard? That hadn't even been something that crossed her mind until now, of course there was ship graveyard there were a few around Jersey and Guernsey with the random rocks in the area. Huffing in self inflicted annoyance while smacking her forehead before shifting her gaze back to James to see what he was going to do about it.
( My muse is running low x.x )

James scrambled to the deck and moved through the river of crew rushing to turn the boat. James stopped on with a hard hand on their shoulder. The man turned to face him. "Get below and extend all the oars out into the water. Row backwards." James said in a demanding tone. The man nodded and scurried away, moving below deck. James stalked up to the wheel of the boat and took it rom Berlin. He yanked the wheel east and pulled it roughly, grunting as the boat resisted. The current they'd built up was strong, the wheel slipped from his fingers and spun back, making the ship swoop violently. James scrambled for the wheel and grabbed it again, pulled it west once more. He looked at Berlin, "Well get over here!" He shouted in frustration. Berlin quickly jerked into action and grabbed the wheel, helping push it east. But the resistace was almost to much even for the two of them.

Grace stayed back as men seemed to rush past her, not wanting to get stuck in the mass. Keeping an eye on James while she waited for an opening. Once the men seemed to all slow down she took off in James's direction only to freeze when the ship suddenly moved beneath her, quickly the girl regained her balance and made her way to the wheel. "Captain, it's probably not my place but I would suggest dropping the anchor." She called, keeping her distance just in case the wheel spun around again on it's own and sent someone flying. If they dropped the anchor that would force them to slow down and then judging by the current it would likely whip the ship around.

James paused at Grace’s suggestion, keeping himself braced and kept pulling the wheel toward him. He looked at Berlin, “Well go do it!” “But, Captain, if we don’t drop it correctly the anchor could be ripped from the boat.” Berlin said cautiously. James shot a glare his way. “Then I suggested you drop the anchor correctly.” He said, he tone going dangerously low. Berlin opened his mouth, seeming to object, but James interrupted him. “What other bloody option do we have?!” Berlin paused and then quickly nodded, moving away. James grunted as the resistance against the wheel became harder when Berlin left. He looked at Grace, “Mind helping?” He said stiffly, trying to keep the wheel in place.

Grace quietly listened to the pair, then nodded when James asked for some help. Stepping forward and grabbing part of the wheel, she probably wasn't very helpful with the fact that her muscles had been lacking proper exercise over the past few months. "Sorry about that." She mumbled, hardly loud enough to hear. She was both concerned about the ship hitting the graveyard, and the fact that whenever she suggested something it seemed to be resisted by the crew.

James relaxed a bit as Grace grabbed the wheel. He frowned as her mouth moved but all caught was 'about that'. James leaned forward, guessing her statement was an apology. "What's there to be sorry about? They've got to learn to trust me." He said frankly, looking over his shoulder and watching as Berlin and a few other men began dragging the anchor from its resting point. He looked back at Grace "You'll only need to be sorry if this current rips my anchor off. Then there'll be something to apologize about." He said in a light-hearted tone, but his gaze was laced with concern and his frown deepened as he looked away from her and back to the men hauling the anchor.

Grace's grip tightened when James relaxed, sending more of the strain from the wheel in her direction then before. Merely nodding in acknowledgement then chuckled, her gaze flickering around trying to find whoever had the anchor. "Right I keep that in mind." She replied, while this was immensely serious she couldn't help but grin. "That would be interesting to watch though."

James looked back at Grace and despite himself laughed lightly. He shook his head and then turned back to watch, "Well we've got front row seats." He said lightly. The men heaved the anchor upwards adn James watched intensely as it splashed roughly into the water below. For a good minute nothing happened at all. James felt his concern lifting slightly, thinking the anchor went to the bottom smoothly. But he thought to quickly. As if on cue, the boat lurched and jerked right. James was thrown from the wheel and he cursed loudly and violently while he got to his feet, scrambling for the wheel. It would make the turn easier if the wheel was pointed that was as well. He looked at one of the men below him on the deck. "Get those oars out of the water, they'll slow down our turn!" He shouted over the creaking of the ship.
(So close to Jersey xD)

Grace didn't make anymore comments as she watched the anchor sink into the depths of the ocean, inwardly bracing herself. After about a minute when the boat suddenly began to move and she instinctively let go when she lost balance to avoid getting thrown. Falling to the ground for a brief moment before jumping back to her feet and barely managing to grab a hold of the tense wheel.
( Immensely close indeed cx )

James gripped the wheel tightly, pulled it toward him to help make the turn easier. He watched a bit anxiously as the chain of the anchor grew tighter. The boat creak louder and he cursed a couple times under his breath. This had better not take off part of his ship. The wood around the chain slowly began to splinter and James’s gaze narrowed. The turned was almost done, just a bit further. The wood continued to splinter a few small chunks even falling off. But the suddenly, the chain was slack and all the creaking stopped. The graveyard was behind them. James slowly let off the wheel so it wouldn’t hit Grace and straightened, rubbing his sore arms. “To Jersey then!” He shouted while massaging his bicep.
