Grace shrugged, "Well I'll just leave you to figuring this whole thing out then." She decided out loud, having not been terribly involved in watching the weather and she was far more interested in trying to read the report without actually opening it.
( It's always interesting how that goes cx you might plan them one way and they are totally different. )

James nodded and sighed, "Keep out of trouble will you?" He called over his shoulder at her. He sighed and looked at his chart and leaned against the rail, trying to make his calculations for Grace's proposal.

Grace absentmindedly nodded in reply, "I'll be with my things if you decide that you need me." She called back, quickly heading to the captain's quarters with the report. Glancing around the deck a few times as she walked before opening the door and slipping inside, then going to the door that opened to the room she had been sleeping in and once inside took the lantern off of the dresser.
( Mine too until it goes badly cx )

"Whatever you say." He answered dissmissivly. He sighed and turned around, heading toward his courters. He needed a quill and he never kept any on him while sailing. They were all stuffed in some drawer of his room. He'd probably find some surprise bottle of fresh ink as well. He wasn't too organized in any way at all. He just shoved things in places whenever he felt to lazy to clean. It was an old habit that should probably be gotten rid of, but he didn't care much for focusing on getting rid of habits.
(Yea, or you accidentally develop your character differently then you wanted and then things just go south from there.)

Grace quietly sat on the floor, lighting the lantern and watching the small fire grow enough to provide decent light. Then she took the report and held it against the lantern in hopes that the light would make the ink appear, but it didn't. "Why do they make such thick parchment?" She mutter out loud, if that wasn't going to work there was only one thing she could do. Pulling a small knife from a pocket in the uniform in which it had been hidden, she put the blade inside the lantern. Touching the fire so it would get hot, then pulled it out and ever so slowly began to remove the wax stamp on the report that prevented her from opening. Letting out a deep breath once if came clean of before setting down the knife with the stamp, and opening the report so she could read it.
( Exactly! It's terrible because you can't save them. ) ( Also I'm beginning to think James and Grace are equally curious but display it in different ways cx )

James passed by Berlin and gave the man a small nod, letting him know he could continue about his regular work. James moved up the steps, eyes glued to his paper and his mouth moving soundlessly as though talking to himself. He reached the door to his courters and swung it open. James glanced up, his gaze darting around his room. But by the look of the barely cracked door that lead to Grace's room, she was probably in there. He moved toward his dresser and set the paper on his bed before pulling the drawer open and shuffling through the trash.
(Yea! And then I feel terrible for them because they didn't turn out the way you wanted) (You know what, I think your right. His kind of curious is a bit annoying and irritating though. Grace's curiousity is a bit more lgical and she goes about finding out in sneaky ways.)

After gently unrolling the report Grace look down at the parchment, she was told not to read it right? Well if it had the seal back on it then it technically wasn't read, besides why shouldn't she read it? And if there was anything going on with Ireland she needed to know. So with that in mind she silently began to read the report, narrowing her eyes when she found that it did indeed have information on Ireland and none of it was pretty.
( ikr?? It's terrible. ) ( These two are dangers to themselves cx someone else needs to be in charge. )

James shuffled through the drawer and finally came across a ink bottle. He pulled it out and tossed it on his bed before digging into the crowded mess once more to try to find a quill. His fingertips grazed a feather quil and James quickly snatched it up. He gathered hsi chart, ink, and quill and settled himselfa t the small round table in the corner. James set everything out with a small sigh and began his charting.
(XD Probably, I'm surprised they are still alive)

Grace carefully read through the entire report, what she had read about Ireland put knots in her stomach. Scowling she let out a string of Irish curses and threw the parchment in the air... Only for it to gently float back down onto her lap. She wanted so badly to rip it up and burn the remains, the girl had to remind herself that they needed it to avoid destroying it. So with that in mind she carefully re-heated the seal with the lantern (while still swearing and calling the English all kinds of fancy names) and put it back on, doing her very best to make it look untouched even though at that moment she couldn't care less.
( We need a real adult to be in charge cx )

James sat back after about 10 minutes of lookng over the weather charts. Grace's suggestion seemed fine however there was one problem. Since he wasn't a perfect water chartsman, there were two possibilties. Either the water would be completely calm and perfect for sailing. Or they'd get caught in between a strong current moving west and a rough current moving east. James sighed and picked up his chart. He moved to his feet and gathered up his maps, shoving them back on their shelf. He then moved toward the door, not bothering to pick up his quill or ink. However James stopped short at the door as he heard a rough string of curses flowing from Grace's room. He raised a brow curiously and took a step toward the cracked door.
(We really do xD)

Once the seal had set for the most part Grace stood up and set the report on the dresser to avoid possibly damaging it. Then she continued on her ever so beautiful list of names for the British(or anyone who crossed her for that matter), pulling a small knife out of a pocket and whirling around; sending it flying into the wall out of fury. But after the knife hit the wall the ginger accidentally smacked her arm into the dresser, hitting right across the spot where she had been cut by the bounty hunter. Yelping in both surprise and pain, growling some more angry curses under her breath.
( Where do we find a responsible adult to watch them? cx )

James, his curiousity growing, cracked the door open only to see a knife fly across the room, followed by a yelp of pain. And that was followed by a further string of curses. James pushed the door open and peeked inside. "You might want to calm down. Pretty soon you'll run out of that colorful language of yours." He said with a small smile.
(Maybe in Jersey xD I have no idea)

Grace scowled when she heard James, glaring over at him in annoyance while rubbing her arm. "Oh shut up." She growled darkly, whatever she had read in the report made her mood sour; but she was doing her best to avoid calling him names. Marching over to the wall and pulling her knife free before hiding it once again in her pocket.

James held back a chuckle as the woman seemed genuinely irriated by something. He stayed silent and watched her for a second while he choose his words carefully. Then, he finally decided to speak, hoping it wouldn't make her angry. "Pardon me if I'm putting my nose where it shouldn't be, but what's got you so tense and....irritated?" He asked, trying to find words to describe the state she was in.

Grace's glare flickered back to James when he started talking, curling her hands into fists while listening. "Nothing just that bloody report," She replied stiffly. "Filthy British scum don't understand what they are doing." And with that nasty remark she completely switched out of English and into Irish, swearing and grumbling rants mostly to herself. Then pulling the left boot off of her foot and kicking it at the wall with her other. The uniform really wasn't helping the situation.

James arched an eyebrow, his curiousity growing. He held back his smile and replaced it with a frown, in hopes that she wouldn't take his remark as teasing. "I thought 'Mattie' told you no to read the report." He said flatly. Although he should've known Grace would read it anyone. But he couldn't blame her, he might've read it too if the positions had been switched.

Grace took a deep breath to avoid pulling out her knife and throwing it at James, and to try and get a grip on her temper. Kicking off the other boot before turning around and looking at him, fury still burning in her green gaze as she pulled out perfectly sealed report. Carefully holding it up so he could see. "If it is not open I technically did not read any of it." She replied in a blunt tone, but her accent was far more apparent then normal as she forced herself to speak English instead of ranting away in Irish.

"Mhhmmmmm" He said, looking at the envelope with a small shrug. "Well then how would you know what it says. Obviously you seem furious with the British. The only British thing we've encountered thus far on this journey was that ship and that report." He said simply, leaning against the door frame. "I'm going to assume you've already read it and somehow, remarkably at least made it look like you didn't. Which you did a fantastic job on. But what exactly have the British done that they don't understand?" He asked

Grace shoved the report back into her pocket, her jaw tightening in annoyance. "What haven't they done?" She asked in disgust. "Besides why would you care?" So far she had been successful with keeping her temper under control and not fighting, or trying to fight James. But the fact that she was angry and he was asking questions wasn't helping.

James gave a nod in agreement at her first statement. There was plenty that they'd done. He sighed, looking at her plainly. "I care because you are leading me into Jersey and it'd be nice if you had a level head. And if there's something wrong I'd like to know. I'm not your enemy, you should know I hate the British as much as any pirate." He said coolly, trying to to jump to his own defense. Generally that resulted it a verbal arguement, maybe a slap as well. But he'd like to avoid the situation if possible.

Grace's mouth opened to make a comment about James being English by birth, but quickly snapped shut when she caught herself. Seeing as he really could just throw her off rather then help being mean could change his mind from helping, it was terribly annoying. Taking a deep breath and slowly exhaling in a second attempt to calm fury. "Fine, sorry." She breath in a calmer tone. "It's nothing, just don't even think about it because the English are perfectly fine." The last part was a bit sarcastic about the English being fine and she was waving it off like whatever made her angry was nothing in hopes he would avoid asking questions.

James rolled his eyes with a heavy sigh. "If I'm going to help you find this fleet of yours, you're going to have to start telling me things. I'd rather not we kept secrets when we're suppose to be working together." He said seriously straightening and eyeing the report before looking at her. "What did it say?"

Grace quietly gazed at James for a long moment, he had a point but at the same time she was a proud woman and had stubbornness that rivaled that of a mule's. Her fists seeming to forcefully relax as she raised a single eyebrow at him. "Alright then," She started with a shrug. "The English have managed to gain the alliance of more Irish clans along the east, and have wiped out at least two others; then on the west side of Ireland apparently there have been some fairly gruesome battles. But aside from that this report has incredibly boring information that is frankly none of my business." She responded, actually managing to sound bored and uninterested. Then she walked right up to James and glared up at him in annoyance while folding her arms, "Now allow me to make something perfectly clear for you, you might be helping me but that does not mean I have to tell you anything so long as it doesn't pertain to my fleet that we are trying to track, okay?" She asked bluntly. "Besides I'm trying to figure out how to keep you and your crew as uninvolved as possible."

James arched an eyebrow, "That's what got you so angry? Isn't that old news?" He said simply. His gaze following her as she walked up to him. "My dear lady, your point is clear. But let me make something clear to you as well. This is my ship and while your on it, I'll be captain and you'll do as I ask. I haven't asked much of you and you shouldn't be so angry when I ask for simple things, I could demand more." He said calmly, but his nerves where growing. She could insult him all she wanted, but there would be no one bossing him around on his own ship. Trying to ease his own growing tense stature, he grinned down at her. "Your quite a sight with your arms folded and looking angry. Could melt a heart of stone, that face could. But lucky for you, I've got a heart that's a bit softer then that." He teased with a small wink before taking a step back and moving back toward his charts.

Grace seemed immensely annoyed by this, yes some of it was old news but she was keeping a lot of the details to herself. "Not the part about the west." She grumbled, the only serious battle that had happened before was the one she was captured in. And she lived on the west coast which caused some panic. Her jaw tightening at James's reply, he had a point but she wasn't going to admit that. Did he just tease her? He did! Opening her mouth as if going to say something before quickly closing it and taking a step back, taking the door and slamming it shut out of frustration. Then sat down on the floor with her back against the door.

James jumped a bit as she slammed the door and then grinned and chuckled to himself, shaking his head. Apparently teasing was safer then argueing back. He glanced at the door and shook his head with another small laugh before gathering up his charts. He moved toward the door, but after glancing back at Grace's room he took a few steps backwards and leaned against the door. "Oh and your suggestion was most helpful, we'll be in Jersey two days early if everything goes correctly. Your suggestion is much appreciated." He said with a small smile before moving away and opening up the door. A bright wall of morning light hit him, how long had be been in here? The crew was bustling about the deck and he grinned broadly despite himself. It was good be be back on the sea with a little adventure.
(xD He's so proud of himself)

Grace silently sat against the door, she was absolutely fuming and would have loved nothing more then to beat someone up. Hearing James's footsteps just outside the door didn't help, and he was now talking to her; he seemed to sound cheerful to her. With a huff she hit the door with her elbow(bad idea because it hurt). "Shut up and go away." She called back in a incredibly hostile tone.
( I'm dying, he's so funny. Not only does he have the actual Red Reaper, but he can also harass her because it's incredibly unlikely for Grace to physically attack him. )

James grinned, "If that's what you want." He called over his shoulder before shutting his door behind him with a smug sigh. Berlin was quickly approaching him as he made his way down the stairs. "Captain." Berlin said quickly with a dip of his head. "Aye, fine day isn't it?" James said brightly. Berlin looked at him suspiciously. "Captain?" "I do believe I've just won my first arguement with a woman." He said with a grin. Berlin chuckled and shook his head. "Men never really win an arguement with a woman. Not if you lok at the big picture." Berlin said with a hearty pat on James's shoulder. James frowned a bit as Berlin walked away, but then shook his head with a small laugh.
