The amber eyes disappeared for a moment before reappearing at the den's entrance. Their owner's fur was golden, the same color as the stem-like plants at their feet. He seemed more curious than aggressive, as if he hadn't seen another cat in a long time.

Icefeather studied the creature, trying to think of any creature with golden fur. It could be another cat, or a strange fox, or a new type of animal.

The creature cautiously padded towards the group. He was clearly a cat- a thin golden tabby, at that- but didn't have a kittypet collar. "Um... who are ya guys?" he asked, looking as if he might run away at any moment.

Fennelnose glared at this newcomer, kittypet or not, he was a stranger. "We all are warriors from the southern forest... We're on an important quest that doesn't need to be halted by an outsider," he explained with a growl.

Flarefur flicked fennelnose's ear with her tail. "theres no need to be aggressive, when his not being hostile." Flarefur says, before turning to the golden tom. "I'm Flarefur and the aggressive tom is fennelnose."

The tom's fur bristled and his muscles tensed, but he visibly relaxed at Flarefur's words. "Those are some pretty odd names. I'm Allen- yeah, kinda a girly name- but ya can just call me Al." Al's tail swished from side to side happily. "Are ya guys headin' to that big hill?"

"is there something about the hill we should about?" Flarefur asks curiously, none of them knew about this place and it would be helpful to have some information about it.

Fennelnose pinned back his ears at Flarefur's tail flick. He still held his unfriendly gaze on this tom Allen, though he didn't say a word. Apparently this cat must know something about that hill... Which unfortunately meant he might be worth talking to. He decided to let Flare do that asking.

Leafheart watched Flarefur speak with the kittypet Al. She remained silent, but was listening and watching them carefully.

"It's apparently called Tear Hill, since it kinda looks like it's crying," Al explained. "Lotsa housefolk go there in their cars and stuff. I could show ya the way there, if ya want me too."

"car?" Flarefur asks curiously unfamiliar with the term, before adding. "anyway, we'd be grateful if you could show us the way, Al." after all, a guild was a plus with the new information they had and being unfamiliar with the territory meant they needed.

"Alright! I won't let ya down!" Al purrs. He stretches for a moment before padding torwards the hill. "Just follow me!"
At the base of the hill, the sound of the streams can be heard. Stones line the banks, which cut through the dense woods. Off to the side is an unnaturally flat dirt path that smells like twolegs and something... stinky, almost like a thunderpath. "I guess we could follow the stream or the road... although we could cut through the forest, too," Al mused.

flarefur looked at the different paths to follow, she wanted to cut through the forest, but... "which way do you guys want to go?" Flarefur asks her companies.

Do we have to use any skills for this choice or no?)

Do we have to use any skills for this choice or no?) (Nope! Just a group choice!)

Okay!)
Leafheart turned to the paths before the group as Flarefur asked which way they should go. She didn't look for too long, however, as the RiverClan warrior already knew which path she wanted to take. "I think we should follow the stream." Leafheart meowed confidently.

"Yeah, I agree with Leafheart." Icefeather hated walking in forests; it felt like the trees were closing in on her. Probably a WindClan thing.

"how about you fennelnose?" flarefur asks the tom.

Fennelnose was quiet a moment, then nodded his head. "I'd say the stream is our best bet. If it's the wrong way, we could always use it as a landmark to get back to here."

"The stream it is, then," Al concludes with a purr. He glances at the rushing water. "Should we go along the rocks? They're kinda slippery, but we can't see the stream if we don't go on them..." He's right. The rocks are slick with water and covered in moss, but if you don't take them, it will be harder to navigate up the hill.

"yeah, we want to keep the stream in sight." Flarefur replied to al, though she didn't have much experience with slipperly rocks, unless the log to the island counted.

Icefeather's fur prickled uneasily as she glanced at the rocks. The last thing they needed was to fall in the stream, especially since most of them couldn't swim. "I don't know... is there another landmark we could use?"

Al shrugged. "Don't think so. It's just trees around here, minus a few clearings."

"think of it as crossing the log to get to the gathering island." Flarefur says encouragingly.

Icefeather felt slightly uncomfortable with the attention. "Yeah, I guess." She was probably overthinking things. Besides, maybe she could grip the moss as comfort.

Leafheart's fur prickled at the thought of having to walk on the wet rocks to follow the stream. As a trained RiverClan warrior she knew how dangerous slipping on those rocks could be. Her tail tip flicking, she meowed "I do agree that we should keep the stream in sight... but... I don't think we should be walking on those rocks. It's too risky."

Icefeather was slightly surprised that the RiverClan cat would be most reluctant. Since Leafheart could swim, falling into the stream wouldn't be as dangerous. But then of course, Leafheart probably had experience in water, and Icefeather trusted his experience over her assumptions. "Perhaps we could also go on that road?" The Twoleg stench was a bit unnerving, but at least it was, in Icefeather's opinion, safer than the rocks.

Fennelnose crinkled his nose at the thought of going on the Twoleg path, concern about being caught by one of the odd furless creatures or a dog making him hesitant. But, he knew that the others weren't likely to follow the stream once the RiverClan warrior voiced her own concerns. He turned to Al, forcing down the temptation to give him some begrudging look in this embarrassing moment to him of desperation. "Kittype-- Al, I mean. Do you think we could keep the stream at the very least within hearing range? That path might split or taper off..."
