"If either one of you need anything, just give a shout," Emma told her, as she disappeared back into the kitchen.
Dallas, with the help of a bit of pain medication, had slept soundly all morning. Now, he was starting to wake. Everything was quiet, which confused him. Usually there was always some kind of noise in the house. Forcing his eyes open and blinking back the blurriness of his vision, the young man noticed that he wasn't in his room, but rather Stitch's office. Oh yeah, he was hurt. Right now, he didn't feel too bad, but he hadn't tried to move. Knowing why there was so much silence now, for everyone never dared to be loud and noisy around Stitch's quarters, he was just about to close his eyes to get more rest. However, a knock sounded, followed by a female voice. Turning his head, he saw the girl who had helped him enter the room. Now there was a surprise.
"Oh, hey," Dallas greeted, smiling tiredly. "Didn't expect you to still be here. Though, I have no idea how long I've been out. How long as it been?"
Parker looked at him, not sure entirely what he was doing. Kip, who had been summoned by the captain this way many times, chuckled and took the supplies from his friend's hands.
"Sol's calling for you," he told him, a mischievous gleam in his eyes. "Shouldn't keep him waiting."
Parker blushed slightly. "Don't you need help taking all of this stuff to Jess?" he asked.
"I can get it from here. Thanks for going with me. It was fun," Kip told him, then nodded in the direction of Sol's office. "Go on and see what he wants."
Parker, still not fully convinced he should just let him carry it all on his, turned and looked at Apollo. "Alright, I guess I'm following you."
~*~*~
"Then let me help you," Anya told him, her tone softening. "Talk to me. I might not be able to offer advice, but I promise I will never judge you. If it'll help, I won't even say anything at all. But you don't have to deal with it on your own." She could hear the footsteps of her brothers upstairs and knew that their time to talk was coming to an end. "Just... think on it, please."
~*~*~
"Then I believe we have settled this matter as best as we can for today," Lawrence said. I will still be speaking to the werecats, and if I find anything else about the matter, I will be sure to let you know. Again, I am sorry, and I hope that this won't be another issue for you in the future."
Kyra was a little surprised by the orders, but she didn't argue. Teaching Cami self-defense wasn't a huge inconvenience, she was just surprised it was her and not someone like Morgan or someone with more fighting experience. Perhaps he thought having someone she knew and a fellow female would make it easier for Cami. Either way, she waited silently as he finished up with the meeting.
(This is bad, I'm sorry. No one is working with me on this. XD)

Evaleigh smiled brightly at Dallas “It lives.” She commented as she stepped a bit closer “Ahh, well….” She paused for dramatics “It’s been about six days.” She twisted her face into a grimace, scanning his face as she found a place to sit close by. Evaleigh broke into another smile “Just pulling your leg. It has been….” She glanced down at her imaginary watch on her wrist “Well. I picked you up this morning and we’re heading into the afternoon, so about 4 hours give or take.” she spoke while rationing the time in her mind. “And, I actually did not plan on staying, but your friends offered to clean the bloodstains out of my car. But, you probably don’t care about any of that.” Evaleigh took a breath and sighed it out to prevent herself from overtalking and possibly overwhelming Dallas “How are you feeling?” She asked, pressing her lips together, another good tactic of keeping the mouth shut.

Apollo barked happily. He turned around and dashed up the stairs, paused at the top long enough to make sure Parker was following, then hurried on to the Navigation room.
~ • ~ • ~ Seth held her gaze for a long moment. Then he reached for her hand and gave it a gentle squeeze. “Okay,” he whispered. “Thank you.” Then, without giving himself the chance to second guess it, he leaned closer and placed a kiss on her cheek.
He might have lingered, but a sudden stomping on the stairs announced Aidan’s return. Seth quickly stepped back and looked away, before he gave the inquisitive eight-year-old any ideas.
~ • ~ • ~ ( Eh, you’re fine. My guys have all been touch-and-go for days now. xD )
Cami nodded. “Thank you, sir. If that’s all, I should go find my mom.”
( Not to mention, this is just horrible. But all I could come up with. Sorry! xD )

He wasn't going to lie, she had him going to start with. Six days? Luckily, she clarified that it was a joke. He gave a small chuckle. "Oh, well that's not as bad as I thought. And sorry for the mess," he said. That did explain why she was still here. Matthias wouldn't have just sent her away with only a ruined car in exchange.
Parker chuckled to himself as he followed Apollo up the stairs. When he got there, he noticed the door was already open, so he just walked on inside. "Sol?" he still called out, just so he wasn't completely coming in unannounced.
~*~*~
Anya was a little surprised by the kiss, but she hardly had any time to think about it as Aidan came rushing back down the stairs. Of course, it wasn't the first time that he had kissed her cheek, but this time she felt as if it was different. She might have wondered more about it if the rest of the house didn't seem to be waking up.
"Good morning, you two," Maria greeted as she walked into the kitchen. Her smile was the same one she always gave, but she could have sworn there was a knowing gleam to her eyes. What for, she wasn't entirely sure.
~*~*~
"Yes, you are free. As are your brothers," Lawrence said. "Unless they have something else to discuss, I need to hear the report Kyra has for me."

Sol looked up at Parker's entrance. He had bent over to give Apollo some pats and rubs for a job well done, which of course made Artemis jealous and had her coming over to try and get between them so she could steal all the attention. Now, he gave them each one last pat and straightened. "Lubber," he greeted, the nickname tinged with teasing and a hint of affection. "Good day in port?"
~ • ~ • ~ Seth returned Maria's smile. One would never know just by looking at him that he hadn't been in a good mood all day. "Good morning," he said.
"Fooooooood!" Aidan called as he ran into the room.
Seth scooped him up as he went to run by and held him, laughing, upside down. "No running in the house," he scolded, tickling him.
Aidan squealed and wiggled. "Okay, okay! I'm sorry!" he said between peels of laughter.
Seth put him back on the floor and hid a smile as Aidan walk with exaggerated slowness to his chair at the table.
~ • ~ • ~ Cami stood. "Thank you, sir. Goodbye." She turned for the tent entrance but paused beside Kyra. "I'm available whenever for lessons. No rush or anything, just... whenever you have time."
( They sure do. xD )

The nickname made him half cringe and half laugh. He was used to hearing the crew call him "Lubber," but it was a little strange to hear it from Sol. It made him feel a bit more embarrassed. "It was a very good day. I think I like Kip's tours of the city better than Mason and Quill's," he answered.
~*~*~
Anya smiled as the rest of her family slowly trickled into the room. With the table already set, she went ahead and took her seat, although she waited until both her parents were settled at the table before she began to eat.
"So, you kids have a big day planned?" Maria asked, her eyes scanning over her children, but seemed to be talking more to Aidan than any of them.
~*~*~
Kyra nodded and offered her a small smile. "I'll come find you when I'm done, and we can figure it out," she said.

“Oh, it’s no problem.” She gave a shrug and ran a hand through her light colored hair. “Mathias told me this place is here to help people so I asked if I could stay one night. I just need a little bit to get my stuff together.” Evaleigh explained further with a light chuckle. “I was also curious how you were doing though. I hate to leave without saying goodbye.” Evaleigh frowned a little, thinking back to her parents, their faces invaded her thoughts once again. It wasn’t blatantly spoken, but she had said goodbye in her own way.

Sol chuckled. "Yes, he's definitely a good match for you." Kip had his rowdy moments, but only after several drinks, and that in itself only happened on truly spirited nights among the crew.
~ • ~ • ~ Aidan nodded eagerly, his mouth already full. He swallowed before speaking. "Yeah! I can't wait! Seth's gonna sing!"
Seth blinked. That was news to him. "I am?"
Aidan had the grace to look a little sheepish. "Oh, uh... I might have volunteered you. Janey said her sister was complaining that they were a person short for performance hour, so I told Janey to tell her sister to ask you."
Seth frowned. He wasn't mad, just confused. "Okay... but what makes you think I can sing?" As far as he could remember, he hadn't done any singing around Aidan.
( If he has, and I've forgotten, now is the time for you or Anya to point it out. xD )
~ • ~ • ~ Cami returned her smile with a little grin of her own. "Okay. See you then." She said one more goodbye to Lawrence, then left, Callum on her heels. Morgan lingered a moment, then seemed to shake himself and ducked out of the tent after the Veras.

That also explained why she was still here. Dallas was only a little surprised that they had agreed to let her stay for the night. She wasn't the first human they had housed, but normally they didn't stick around for long. With so many werewolves under one roof, someone was bound to forget that their houseguest wasn't supposed to know what they were. "Cool. Hope you don't mind the chaos," he said with a small smile. "I'm sure Emma's been taking care of you, making you feel at home."
"He also said you wanted to see me," Parker said, motioning towards Apollo. "Said you normally send him to go fetch people. Is everything okay?"
~*~*~
(I don't think he has, unless he got caught singing to himself. XD)
Anya glanced up at Seth when Aidan mentioned he was going to sing, only to find the confusion mirrored on his face. She laughed a little. "Well, there won't be any getting out of it now, even if you can't sing," she laughed. "Janey's sister doesn't take no for an answer."
~*~*~
(Time skip? IF so when to? Kyra giving her a self-defense lesson, to which Cami could ask what's up with her and Morgan? Or to whatever moment brings them closer to Seth and Anya's timeline?)

“Oh, yes. Emma has been very kind.” Evaleigh agreed with a nod. “It feels almost like home.” The seat she had taken was a swiveling one, and she rocked it back and forth for a moment while her blue eyes scanned the room before falling on Dallas again. “How old are you, Dallas?” Evaleigh asked watching his face as she waited for a response. She chewed her lip thinking back to when Stitch had said Dallas was the youngest here. She wondered just how young he was and how he ended up at this place. Stitch had also mentioned that Evaleigh should not expect an answer to the latter of her curiosity, since she was new and had no reputation among the people here. That was expected.

"Yes," Sol answered. He tapped the compass on his desk, righting the needle. The thing was so old it tended to go a little wonky every once in a while. Beckham was constantly telling him to replace it, but that old compass had never steered him wrong, wonky or not. Until that changed, Sol had no intention of getting rid of it. He looked up at Parker. "A storm is coming," he told him. "We'll be leaving within the hour so we get out ahead of it. I wanted you to be the first to know."
~ • ~ • ~ ( I suppose that's possible. xD )
Seth sighed. He thought up half a dozen reasons there on the spot that would give Janey's sister no choice but to accept no for an answer. He wasn't really in the mood to sing today, especially at the Festival, where everyone would be expecting a show. He was having a hard enough time faking a good mood for the Dorrehs and Aidan.
Then again... Seth glanced at Anya. Maybe he could use this to his advantage. She wanted him to talk to her. Perhaps he could find a way to do that through song, at least to start. Might be easier than trying to explain everything in his head.
So he put on a confident smirk and said, "I guess it's a good thing I can sing then."
~ • ~ • ~ ( I say we skip right to getting this timeline closer to Seth and Anya's. So, skip maybe another week? Then maybe we can still have Cami ask Kyra about her and Morgan. Maybe she didn't notice before, because of the current situation, but after a week of practices and general hanging out, she starts noticing and then finally asks? That was we have a concrete starting point, and from there things can get more interesting. ;D )

"Oh, so you really are the baby of the household.” Evaleigh commented with a chuckle. “Well, not for long though, thanks to Amelia and Keryn.” She gave Dallas a wink before pulling her legs up into her chair in a criss cross applesauce fashion. "Its nice to have this big family environment though." Evaleigh sighed "In my family, it's just the parents and I. I've always wanted something more, but it was not my decision."

"Now that makes a lot more sense," Parker said with a small laugh. "But do we have to leave out so soon. I mean, there's no sign of a storm at all. Surely we can stay ahead of it even if we stay the night here as scheduled."
~*~*~
"Not until tonight," Ryner answered. "She's roped me into being her annual guitar player. There's a sort of party tonight in the square. Won't start until sundown. There may be a few people preform during the day, like of the younger teens and kids want to have a go, but I'm assuming you won't be called up until later. As for how much, that's up to you. Some people only like to do a song or two. Some you can't get off the stage."
~*~*~
Another week went by, and, while she still had plenty to keep herself busy, Kyra wished she had been sent off on another mission. Don't get her wrong, she enjoyed teaching Cami self-defense. As someone who has also been a target of Andy's idiocy, she could understand how important it was for Cami to learn, and she was all up for teaching. She just wished she wasn't in camp and so close to Morgan.
No one could ever say she wasn't determined when proving a point. The young woman had succeeded in completely ignoring her Golden Gal since she returned to camp. It was more difficult with each passing day, but she managed. There was a part of her that wanted to turn her head, to look at the man she held above so many others. However, she knew that if she did, she would have lost whatever ground she had made. Morgan wanted to act like he knew what was best for her, wanted to swoop in and be the hero when she was capable of doing it herself, and she wasn't going to reward him for that. Yes, she knew he did it because he cared, but that didn't change that fact that he had acted foolishly and could have made things worse. Not to mention she was craving him worse than any addiction, and he had already made it clear that he wouldn't be helping in that area. And it wasn't merely the desire for him to be her bed buddy. It was his hands drawing her closer, his arms holding her near, his voice whispering in her ears. Just his presence beside her was what she wanted. She wanted to be able to lean back and know he was there, to close her eyes and not have to worry. All she had to do was admit that he was right, that she needed him, but then that would destroy the point she was trying to make.
So what did she do? She threw herself into the lessons with Cami and did whatever she could once they were done to keep her as far away from the man as possible. "Keep that arm up," she instructed the younger girl. The two of them were using practice daggers at the moment. The goal was to get her comfortable with using a blade, even if she didn't carry one with her all the time. If she knew how to fight with one, then she could also defend against someone who might wield one against her. She was a decent learned and was making good progress, but every now and again Kyra would need to give her minor corrections and reminders as they went.
"Yeah, I can't say I'll miss being the butt of everyone's jokes," Dallas admitted with a chuckle. He was excited for the couple, and everyone was hyped to have the newborn in the house, even if some didn't want to admit it. He knew that once the kid got here, they would be waited on hand and foot by everyone. "It has it's pros and cons. Pros being you have no shortage of people to help you if you need it. Cons being you have little to not privacy."

Privacy. Now that was a foreign concept to Evaleigh. The girl wondered what it would be like to actually have that, in her world, there were only secrets. “Yes, privacy, it cannot be taken for granted.” She commented, her voice held a certain heaviness as she remembered what she was escaping. “Fulton.” Evaleigh remembered the town names, that was her destination. “Do you work in Fulton?” She asked Dallas “Mathis mentioned that quite a few of you do. I don’t know much about the town, just that I’m going there.”

Evaliegh listened to Dallas explain where he wanted to work, he seemed like the ideal outdoorsman. “Oh wow, camping, like out here?” She could not fathom the idea. “My parents only let me go camping in the backyard.” Even then, they had made her come in after a couple of hours so she wouldn’t get bitten by bugs. “You would probably be good at that, you must be pretty in tune with nature if you're hiking through these woods in the early morning.” Something about the woods had always made Evaliegh a little wary. The irrational feeling could possibly be linked back to the time she had pirated the movie “The Blair Witch Project” when she was 11 and had nightmares for a week, but she would never admit that, not even to her parents. Evaleigh had been more afraid of losing her computer for a year than her sleepless nights. Again secrets were important in her home life.

“Well, yeah, there is that fact.” Evaleigh shook her head, she was still surprised at the fact of there being wild dogs in the woods. She would definitely be avoiding any area with dense trees for a while. “I would agree to that statement. This is my first time out of the city,” she admitted “and it feels like I could do anything here, there’s so much space.” Evaleigh wanted to keep this feeling with her, maybe someday she could afford to get a home away from the busy, people packed towns. She imagined twirling around in an open field where no one knew she was there, only the nearby trees and woodland creatures would be aware of her existence. The idea felt so close already even though in reality, Evaleigh had only taken one step in that direction. There was a long way to go before she would feel that freedom.

"Well, maybe if you find a place in Fulton, I can take you out camping one weekend," Dallas offered. "There's a lot of cool places around here, that are safe, don't worry, that I'd think you'd like."
And Parker couldn't really argue. Sol knew the ins and outside of the sea better than anyone. So who was he to tell him how to do his job. "Alright then. Let me go put these up, and I'll help get everything ready to go," he said, pulling the small velvet pouch that held the gems he'd bought for Anya from his pocket.

Anya laughed slightly as she finished her meal. "Besides, he has to use that time he could be practicing to focus on how badly he wants to beat everyone in the archery contest," she told Aidan.

As promised, they were under way within the hour, sailing fast from the bay. The winds had picked up considerably, but there was still no sign of any storm. There crew didn't doubt it was coming, but the remaining four rescues made no secret of the fact that they were not happy about leaving Kuasta early because of a false alarm. They were working together under Beckham's watchful eye, complaining among themselves. Beckham was well aware of it, as was Sol, even though he was at the helm. Neither of them cared enough to do anything about it. They'd learn their lesson soon enough.

Parker, too, was a little upset that they had to leave. After all, Mason and Quill had made plans for a sort of early birthday celebration, and, while he had said they didn't have to go through the trouble, he had been looking forward to it. To have a night in the bar like he would have back home with his friends. Oh, well, there would be time for that in the next port so he wasn't too concerned.
