Hope wasn't quite sure what to expect to come from this meeting with Jaxon, but she hoped that it would give her the peace of mind that she needed. She was also hoping for some insight on how to handle the others. The more she sat there thinking about it, the more nervous and unsure she became. She pushed her breakfast around on her plate, no longer feeling hungry.

"Honestly, anything at all good about this place is a definite step forward at this point." Hal responded "And Cora does seem very nice. It seems that she takes good care of the people here."
Charles was very pleasant, Hal thought, but it was Cora who had first made him think that perhaps it wouldn't be quite so terrible here. It might even be manageable, if not exactly comfortable or pleasant on any level.
(I'm thinking we have a nice smooth building of Hal and Cora's relationship and come up with a major plot event to throw a spanner in the works)

Daniel let out a small laugh and shook his head, "nope. Not sky diving unfortunately. I'm planning to do that sometime later. Probably in a couple of weeks or so. This one is much better and plenty of fun closer to the ground but still up in the air." He paused for a moment and asked, "so does this mean you're coming?"
---
"Why do you say that?" She asked confused, "are you much more boring to talk to than what I think you are?" Most people tire of her quickly than she does them usually. They usually get tired of her talking after a while so they make an excuse to leave. Usually though they are still nice and they are friends still because of how nice she is to everyone but they can't stand to be around her for a long period of time. She'd be surprised if he didn't tire of her by the end of the day.

(XD Cheesy is always the best way to go. XD) Finley's smile grew a little more when he grabbed her hand to pull her to him. She gave in and leaned in against him. Her head rested laid on Cal's shoulder as she continued to hold his hand. There was a silence between them, but it wasn't an awkward kind. To be honest, she just didn't really want to talk a the moment. All she wanted was to just stay there and try to let the lingering effects of their mini fight/disagreement/whatever you want to call it fade away. She really did care for Cal. While her heart still longed for Ty, she wasn't going to deny that she was going to refuse any affection for Cal. Whether or not she was ready to admit she might love him was another matter. After all, Tyler and her had promised each other that they would live out their future together. It was a hard promise to consider breaking, even if Ty was no longer here. This is a somewhat longer post, but do you want to skip or something? I have no ideas, but we could brainstorm? Unless you want to keep going, I'm cool with it, but Cal has ~plans~ later, I mean, she could tag along but?) Finley and Ty's relationship, like the brothers, was much different than Finley and Cal's. Cal might be the talkative one, but Cal was happy to sit in silence most of the time. That's how he liked lazy days with Finley mostly - if they weren't doing anything, he didn't mind if they drifted off into silence. Embarrassing as it sounded, Cal had dozed off once or twice when he was with Finley. He didn't do this out of boredom, no - he'd just come from a practice, or doing a night of babysitting for his brother - so it was nice to come into contact with someone he felt comfortable with and didn't feel like conversation was a requirement. Ty, though, was the opposite. He'd keep the conversation going, or make it, and try to spend as little time as possible doing nothing. That was just one of the differences of the boys - Cal was up for spontaneous plans, Ty preferred planned out plans. Cal was lost in his thoughts, too, so he wasn't paying attention to anything, really, but he was aware enough to place a whisper of a kiss to the top of Finley's head.

A bullet would have hit Miley but it hit Flynn in the leg. Miley slowed down to see if Flynn was coming okay, she didn't even know this boys name and she was worried about him. He had helped her Escape, without him she probably would have been grabbed by that second guard.

Lisa returned to the kitchen a few minutes later, followed by Peter who looked to still be half asleep. The boy had woken up with a small headache and wouldn't have even bothered getting out of bed had his mother not told him what Hope wanted to do. So he forced himself up and followed his mother to the kitchen.
"I have a granddaughter about her age, and she reminds me of her," Charles said. "I wouldn't complain about her one bit."
(Sounds good. Would you like to time skip to whenever she returns?)
By this time, Sophia had a guess of what he was talking about, but she didn't say her guess out loud in case she was wrong. She hesitated a moment more before nodding slowly. There was nothing else for her to do today, so why not? She had been sitting at home doing nothing since school break. A little fun couldn't hurt, could it? "Alright, fine. You've talked me into it," she answered, smiling slightly.
~*
"I have a tendancy to be a bit of a posh stick in the mud sometimes," Charles replied. Of course, he liked to have a good time out hunting with friends, but when it came to anyone outside his closely knit group of companions, his manners and politeness seemed to get in the way of doing anything fun. He blamed his mother for drilling those lessons into his brain, but then again, he kind of needed them. "My family was a well off bunch, so my parents made sure that I had the etiquette of any noble in town. It kind of effected my people skills a bit."
(Unless his ~plans~ involve a good chance to develop their characters, then we can time skip if you want. We should definitely brainstorm where we want them to go. I have an idea for their first major fight that we can work on building if you're interested. That should give us some drama for a little while.)
Finley felt the brush of his lips against her head, and a blush lightly rose to her cheeks. It wasn't because she was embarrassed by the gesture. He had kissed her so many times in the past few weeks that it hardly phased her anymore. Yet at the moment, she realized how much she had missed his physical contact. She had grown accustomed to his arms around her or his chest underneath her head. Little details that she had never thought about before until now. Her arms wrapped around his sides as she shifted into a more comfortable position.
Flynn, as though as the man was, let out a sharp yelp of pain as the bullet struck his leg. He missed a stride, stumbling a moment, before forcing himself to pick up his pace. "Keep going!" he barked at her, his words sounding harsher than he meant them to sound due to the pain. "Slow down and they'll be on us. There's a town not far from here. If we can reach it, we ca hide there."

(I'm totally happy to do that. I'll do a little starter since you did the last post)
It was a few hours later, and Hal and Charles had long since talked themselves out. Hal was sitting in his cell, knees slightly drawn into him. He was already struggling to keep his mind occupied in this place. He was bored, and that lead to him thinking about the future, something that was scary for him to think about. So in his mind he was trying desperately to find anything to distract himself

Miley heard him yell and woman to turn to see if you was okay. She followed his advice and kept running, trying to get away. They eventually lost the men, dogs were faster than people after all. They hit the edge of town and Miley ran into the closest yard she could find. The house was lifted and there was a hole in the side of the paneling, so they could hide under the house. Miley led him to it and slipped in as a dog, then immediately turned him. "Are you okay??"

(Well, I went back to re-read everything we had done so far, and I came across the part where Cal didn't like hearing Finley was use to sneaking Ty backstage whenever she had a dance recital. I was thinking that as they progress in their relationship and both of them get more comfortable with talking about Ty, Fin could tell him about little things Ty and her use to do all the time. And thus the reason for the fight is this: Cal accuses her of trying to hold onto her relationship with his brother rather than move on and make a new one with him. Which, in Cal's defense, could be true. My idea is open for any additions, corrections, or deletions, so feel free to offer anything. This is just an idea I've been bouncing around in my head as one of the many challenges they could face.)
(Thanks! ^^ )
It was an hour before sunset when Cora made her way down the steps to the prison cells. As always, she worked from one end of the room to the other. James loud remarks filled the air once more as she fed him first just so she wouldn't have to hear him complain. To everyone else, she spoke her usual kind words and offered a smile as she moved from cell to cell until she finally made it to Hal's cell. "Good evening, Sir Hal," she greeted with a smile, pushing the new plate of food underneath the cell door and loading the plate from breakfast back onto the tray she carried.
By the time they reached the town, Flynn was breathing heavily. On a normal day, the run wouldn't have bothered him. Yet with pain lacing through his body and blood flowing down his legs made him put in twice the effort into keeping up with the girl. When they reached the house, he knew they wouldn't be able to stay there long, but he didn't care. He gratefully slipped through the hole underneath the back porch and sank to the ground. "I'm fine," he muttered, lowering his head to inspect the wound. It wasn't just a graze like he had hoped it would be. It hurt way too much for that.

Daniel gave her a grin in response. "Great! Let's go." He pushed open the door at the entrance since they were close to there waited for her to walk through it, keeping it open for her and being a gentleman. "I do promise you're going to like it." He rubbed the back of his neck, not completely sure if she would though, he just hoped she would.
---
"Oh," Amelia said and nodded as if that make sense. She walked through the gate and made her way down one side of the wall so they could start at the end of the south side of the castle. "Well, that's definitely different. Most people here you will find are not like that. Most or some will be either rude, loud, obnoxious, or drunk. Or all four. Never know what you'll find here."

Miley got closer to him to access his wound, letting out a short whine, she felt awful. " You shouldn't have helped me. Look at what happened." She began to sniff it to see if she could shell the metallic bite of the bullet. " Is the bullet still in there?" She asked.

Alec laughed and shook his head. "Ugh, you're such a girl!" he joked. He tilted his head. "Why do girls do that anyway? Wear a guy's clothes? Just to prove it's your territory now?" he joked.

Miley nodded, " were should we go? I have been stuck in that place a long time." She was kind of hoping he would take over where they would go, maybe he would have a better idea? " I'm still so Sorry about your leg, I should have been the one to get shot." She told him, panting anxiously.

No, it's because you guys get all the comfortable shirts, Tori said with a giggle. It also helps to make us feel like our boyfriends are close to us when they're not around. And partly because it's our territory now.
(Sure thing!)
Finley was in the girl's dressing room with the other females of her dance class. Her dark hair was tied back into a neat bun, and she was dressed in a light pink dance suit that had a slightly poofy, short skirt. Everyone was dressed similarly save from the handful of guys who were also in the class.
Tonight's show wasn't a big production. It was one they normally preformed two or three times a year. However, this time she felt a little nervous. Cal had agreed to watch the show tonight, and for some reason that made her a little more anxious about how good she would actually be. Why it bothered her, she didn't know. After all, Ty had watched multiple of her recitals and she no longer felt the butterflies in her stomach. Yet here they were tonight.
Flynn shook his head. "Don't be sorry. There was a reason I it myself in harm's way," he said, groaning as he stood up. "We need to find a vet. If we go to the hospital, they will only want to get police involve since I was shot. A vet will be easier to handle, and cheaper."

" good point. I will pretend to be your owner." Miley wouldn't stop feeling bad, she would now put her energy into helping him. Crawling out from under the porch she tried to stay in the shadows as they made their way more into town. " What's your name? I'm Miley."

Cal had come on his own - his parents couldn't make it, but they told him to pass their good lucks to Finley - and already had plans to sit with the Knox family, probably where Ty had sat all those years prior. Cal, who'd known of Ty's sneaking backstage but never thought he'd do it himself, had actually texted Finley beforehand, telling her he was upset about not being able to see her before the performance. That's when Finley's mother had let him know about the back entrance that was kept on a crack so girls, coming off the stage hot from the stage lights, could cool off in the moderately chilly air. So that's how Cal Davenport ended up backstage at Finley's recital, acutely aware of the tradition he was treading on. Cal hadn't even told her to look out for him - again, he was into spontaneous plans.
Cal didn't realize a few of the double-takes he received, mostly from girls his and Finley's age, all girls who remembered, faintly, Ty's face and his well-known presence behind stage. One of them even paled as if she saw a ghost - in a way, Cal was, thanks to looking so much like Ty, and coming to meet the same girl Ty would have been. It wasn't hard for Cal to find Finley, who wasn't paying attention, and sneak up behind her. Cal, thinking it probably not proper to scare her as much as he could, simply wrapped his arms around her from behind and set his chin on the top of her head. He assumed that Finley would know quite well who it was and wouldn't freak, seeing as he did this often enough. "So this is what it's like behind a stage? I expected...more." Cal was sort of joking by that comment; he expected it, for some reason, to be busier.

(Don't worry about it!) (Me too! It feels nice to be free again. XD) (LOL!) (Then maybe we'll find a way to win them over later on. I'm sure there's something Lumi can make them a little less grouchy towards her.) The elf listened to her account of things with no sign that he believed or doubted her words. His job was to bring her testimony to the Council, and nothing more. He didn't need to ask any additional questions or dig deeper into the events that had happened. That was the Council's part of the trial. "Very well," he muttered once her testimony was completed. "If you will follow me, I will show you to the Council. I assume you have told her the proper way to act." He directed the last statement to Baltore. "I was just getting to that," Baltore admitted. Loran and him had both agreed it would be better to wait and explain the workings of the Court the day before the trial. However, since the trial had sprung up unexpectedly, neither of them had gotten the chance to explain to her. "Of course," the guard muttered with a hint of irritation. Turning back to Lumi, he began to give her the simple instructions. "Don't speak unless you are asked a question, you are to bow when you approach the Queen, and do not make eye contact with any of the Council." She was just a lowly human after all. {Wow, its been a while! Sorry about that xc I miss yah and the kids, it's just been hard lately!.. You know why, of course xD} {How are yah?}
Lumi nodded at the guard, watching him with a easy gaze. That seemed a little too much, but it wasn't as if the elves saw her as an equal. She suspected that if she even looked at the council as equals, they would just have more of an initiative to kill her, which she really didn't want to get them anymore reasons. Another thing she was worried about was... Well, it was the Queen. Was this lady going to overreact if she said one thing too out of the lines? And what about the truth magic? What effect would it have on her? She could still feel a slight buzzing in her head... It was kind of weird, but she was trying to ignore it.
"Understood." she said, looking towards the door before she got to her feet, prepared to head into the court room. She took one last glance towards Baltore, giving him a small nodd of confidence, before looking back at the guard, "I'm ready for you to lead the way."

Miley nodded, as they made their way to the shopping district she change back into a human before being seen. Walking beside him, she pretended he was her dog. She soon enough spotted the vet and went walking in, "somebody please help me, my dogs been shot!" The vet came out quickly and led Miley and Flynn to a back room. He put Flynn on the table and immediately gave him a sedative so he would relax and he could check out his leg without the fear of being bit." Well the bullet went through and through, so that's a good thing. We just need to clean and dress the wound."

Daniel chuckled and shook his head. "Nope. And okay, I've been warned. Never go skydiving with you no matter how much fun that could be." He laughed again and started walking to his car he parked halfway down the block because he needed to walk for a little bit and get the frustration out.
---
"I'm going to guess you only been around people who act noble then," Amelia commented as she continued to walk along. They weren't far now. "That must be a hard life, but then again, what life isn't hard? There are always some challenges." She's met her fair share of people that acted in a whole range of different attitudes. She did find nobles to be the most stuck up on the group though, thinking they're better than everyone else. She could only imagine what the king was like, probably worse than the lot of them. Raised to be high and mighty all his life probably looking down on everyone, but she also couldn't judge him since she never met the guy either. Not that she cared or ever would. She was at the bottom and unimportant to the kingdom. Just another peasant.
"Sorry to say that life must be pretty boring if you have to act like you are one even if your not and be around a bunch of stuck up people who think they're better than everyone else. But that's just my opinion with the few I have met. I ain't judging you or anything." She wanted to make it clear to him she wasn't judging him, not until she actually knew him or had a better sense of what he was like. She continued on, "down here is mostly where people live on this side of the south wall. It's mostly just houses but there are a few shops or stands scattered around. It is no where near like the main part of our little community with most shops and stands with people to buy things they desire. That is farther back that way but I was thinking it was better to show you from one end to the other so we didn't have to backtrack."
(Wow, that's long.)

Alec laughed. "It's not our fault you girls have all these weird layering style shirt things! You do have a lot of kinda uncomfortable looking stuff, though, now that I think about it," he said, his nose wrinkling while he thought. "Heels. The multitude of shirts. Skinny jeans. Lace underwear--seriously, who thought of that? And you pull out your eyebrow hairs too. Yikes! Does that hurt? Why do you do all that stuff?! Take the tshirts if you want them! Take them all! It'll be a revolution!" he declared, waving his arms.
