Ooh that sounds like a cool list. What's one that you think is really interesting?
Ah yeah I have a few characters that are a little too close to another in personality so I'm trying to redefine them. Do you have a method for naming your characters?
That's cool! When I'm older, I hope I can travel around to where my novel takes place so I can actually look around and collect research.

The amount of bugs they'll let you keep in the peanut butter? I'm not sure, that was the first thing I thought of. XD Oh! Ancient Egypt had a god which literally looks like someone put a bedsheet over a little kid. They have a bedsheet ghost god! My method for naming characters is poking around here: nameberry.com/ I've taken to scrolling far down the lists because I ran into the problem that all my characters started to have names starting with 'A' or 'M'. Here here! I wonder if that means I'll be going to Brazil ... Canada I can do at least. But Brazil might be a bit tricky.

That does sound interesting. cx Ooh that sounds so cute! A bedsheet ghost god with a lot of power.
That's what I do too. A lot of mine start with 'A' as well. There's just something about that letter.
Oh yeah that might be. That would be cool if you could travel there someday though. c:

Apparently the Japanese adopted them for animes and mangas and memes. XD It is very cute! The god is called Medjed, I believe.
It's the first letter you think of. I have no idea why 'M' is the second most. Also ... ever noticed that all long running media has a 'Sam'.
Where are your books usually set, if you don't mind me asking?

Well that's one way to use that idea. cx Aw that's cute. I wonder how it came to be.
That's true. My second most used letter is 'R'. Now that you bring it up, that's really interesting. I guess people just like that name.
In the United States somewhere so my main series is set in Nevada.

Medjeb is in the Book of the Dead. Apparently they're on a soul's side, too? I can't remember.
I can literally point to just about any book or TV show. There are ... three ... in one of the universe of my RP. Two of which are living. Can we say 'confusing'?
Mine is set in the state I live in, so I guess I have that covered, ha ha.
How are you doing today?

Ah. I keep thinking he's just a ghost instead of a god.
Hmm, I can think of some books that doesn't have a Sam but yeah it's a common character name it seems. Ooh that is confusing. Why did you decide on having that name for three characters?
Oh yeah that's good. cx I have one series that's set in my state as well. It makes it way easier to get everything accurate.
I need to start replying earlier haha. Yesterday was alright. I was just annoyed that I wasn't very productive. How was your day?

He's a ghost god! I don't know. It's such a small reference that he could be anything, honestly. I ... didn't. XD I wish I had. Okay, starting with the guy who died, it was a long time ago, but he was a well known part of the community. It slipped my mind when I was naming my character that there was a canon instance of that name being used. So sometimes, if characters are talking about the dead Sam, I have to make it clear which it was. Doesn't come up that often, thank goodness. Then the crossover with my story and someone else's happened. That other story already had an existing and living Sam. And they ended up in the same area as one another, which isn't exactly working out so well, ha ha. It wasn't intended, it's just how things panned out. Truthfully, I'd go back in time and remind myself that the name I was using was going to cause this problem. But right now, I really like it, it fits, and I love my dear character. So the name stays. It would be if it wasn't a futuristic version of it. Sometimes I make things a lot harder than it needs to be. Whoops? I got off school yesterday! I'm so happy! I'm already getting a lot of writing done and finished a book!

He could be a ghost god that rules over blankets or cute ghosts. cx
Ohh okay. It does sound interesting but if the name fits, then it fits. c: Honestly I would get super confused I had characters of the same name in the same series. At least you're keeping them separate though, like enough that you know the difference.
It could be harder but if it's more fun, then it's worth it. : )
Yay! Ooh I still haven't finished any of mine yet. I need to get on that. ^^' Are you in high school or college?

Yes. I support this view.
Yes. I'm referring to the other Sam as his last name. XD It helps.
It is more fun! I enjoy my world building!
College!
How's your weekend going?

Yay cute blanket god! c:
Ah okay. Whatever works. cx
That's good! If I ever had to do any world building, I don't think it would come out very well. There's just so much stuff you have to think about.
Me too! What are you majoring in?
It's going alright. I haven't done anything eventful but it's been hot here.

There's a 50 year time skip leading from the 'first' series to the 'second' so I don't actually have to World Build just 1 world, but also a futuristic version of a futuristic world. Sometimes I think I make things too complicated.
English, specifically Library Science. Since my intention is to become a librarian. Yourself?
We ended up mixing up the days we were supposed to go swimming, so there was that. Ha ha ... whoops. Also, I cleaned my bookshelf and by some miracle I have some room on it.

Sometimes when it's complicated, it's worth it in the end. At least you get more experience world building. cx
Ooh fun. Creative Writing, though it's called Writing Studies with an emphasis on Creative Writing where I go to school. I'm also minoring in Linguistics.
My bookshelf is full of junk that I need to find space for so I can actually put books there. :c Ooh swimming. I want to swim more.

This is very true! I love world building. What are some of the favorite aspects of your worlds?
Oh that's really cool! What sort of linguistics are you studying?
I more of waded today. It was too cold. The water. Everything else wasn't. Also, I'm apparently rereading books I know I'll keep rather than actual new ones I don't. Deary me ...

The magic system, I guess. I don't do a lot of world building since my projects are really modern and present.
I think it's just general linguistics. I changed my minor from environmental studies so I haven't taken any classes in it yet.
Aw. At least you got to play in the water though. c: And I reread too many books when I have a pile of new books I need to read.

I have some set in modern times, but still getting the world to work like it properly should can still be tricky. XD Do you write in actual towns/cities or do you make some up?
I'd consider doing a minor if I really felt like I should. But I like working just in English for the time being and I suppose if I ever change my mind I can go back and get a second major or something. Environmental studies another of your interests?
It seems like my mind just wants to focus on the old familiar ones. Even though the discovery of a new favorite is so fun. I'm reading the Halloween Tree. My mom kept asking why I'm doing that in full Summer. XD

Ah yeah that makes sense. I write in actual cities but I make up some stores and other minor buildings.
That's true. Just focusing on a major is enough. Yeah I have a lot of subjects that are my interests but they're more of hobbies, like environmental science and botany.
When you reread it makes you remember why you fell in love with the book in the first place. c:

I think I have some part of my story set in LA? Or San Francisco? I tend to mix up the big cities in California. Even though they're totally different. Hobbies can still lead to a carrier. I wish you good luck! True, true! I'm remembering why I really like Moundshroud. The rest of the book is a bit boring though. But I just love laughing to myself through the whole thing because you can tell when you're reading who he is but none of the characters do. XD

Mint: Ah. I don't blame you. California has a lot of big named cities.
That's true. Thank you! Good luck to you too!
That sounds amusing. cx I forgot what it's called when an author does that, when the reader is aware but the rest of the characters aren't.
Flash: Hello floaty friend. c:
