What if sleeping is our natural state and we’re only awake to gather more information for dreams?

If you give us enough time, we all end up looking the same.

All it would take to wipe out every single living organism on earth would be to remove the crust of the earth and reverse gravity.

Christmas was supposed to celebrate the rise of Christ, instead it became a man sneaking down your chimney and leaving you gifts and we worship that man 💀

Why do we have summertime, wintertime, springtime, but not falltime or autumntime? Also, why do we have summer, winter, and spring, but we have BOTH fall and autumn?! (Mine) to answer the second, "autumn" is a french loanword deriving from the Latin autumnus. "Fall" is deriving from the Old English fallan and refers to the phrase associated with the season, "Fall of the leaf, fall of the year". Generally speaking, in the medieval period, French became the language of the aristocracy and so there was a large influx of French vocabulary injected into the English language. "Autumn" thus became the popular name for the season for awhile. Use of "fall" never really died out, though, and had a major comeback later likely because of how it complemented the name of "spring", its seasonal counterpart.

If it’s a requirement to give a two weeks notice before you quit a job, shouldn’t the job be required to give you a two week notice before firing you? ( mintedstar/fur🦇 for you lol) Depends if it's an At-Will State. I gave two weeks as a 'nicity' - re: I need the money. I wanted to spot-quit. At Will States are ... a thing. -_-

If we believe the claim advanced by many scientists that fish don't feel pain, but that they can still respond appropriately to noxious stimuli, then we have to accept that pain is unnecessary and we suffer for no reason
