I honestly don't care if it's just a retelling of DOTC. River Ripple was the least seen founder, so I'm just glad to see more of him. And we will see some of his leadership since he's called Riverstar in the blurb when his old friend comes to visit.

Chapter 12. River Ripple felt relief as the battling cats stopped. Thunder’s face fell in disbelief at Hawk Swoop’s corpse, And Tall Shadow poked Rainswept Flower, as if hoping she would wake up. A Spirit gestured River Ripple forward. who hesitated, feeling it wasn’t his battle. The ghost cat declared the battle wasn’t, but the peace would be, and his actions would affect the future to come. River protested he was just a loner, and didn’t want to be part of the mountain cats future.
He watches as they inspect their dead, and wondered if they could ever learn the peaceful ways of the river. The ghost suggesting he show them. River conceded defeat and stepped into the clearing. Clear Sky demanded why he was there. River explains he watched the battle. Thunder asks why he didn’t help. River professes it wasn’t his fight to help. And inquires why they left the mountains, to only bring death. Clear Sky clamors it wasn’t his fault, while Tall Shadow disagrees, and he hadn’t enforced borders, they’d never been driven to violence. River grows frustrated as they continue bickering.
A ghostly she-cat steps forward, and everyone stares in disbelief as Clear Sky whispers “Storm”. Before babbling out an explanation to the chaos. Storm coldly stares at Rainswept flower’s body and demands if killing her was brave. Clear Sky pleads he didn’t want cats starving, before Storm shoots him down that it was fear that drove him, and then presses if they’ve guessed their message yet. River answers that the fighting must cease. Clear Sky claims he has no right to tell them anything, which Storm sternly interrupts him, before continuing that they must unite or die. Afterwards the spirits begin to fade. All the cats appear awestruck, and disbelieving of what they witnessed. River questions if they’ve ever seen they’re dead. Tall Shadow replies never. They then decide to bury their dead, and vow to never fight over borders again. Gray Wing declares Thunder should lead them, and everyone agrees to help any cat who needs it from then on.
River then heads home to find Night waiting for him. He’s surprised she knew he was gone. And is puzzled, and rather hurt she didn’t think to look for him. River than tells Night about the battle. Night seems unconcerned as the mountain cats always fight. River explains they killed eachother over land, which makes Night fearful. River reassures they vowed to not let it happen again. Night’s baffled at is apparent newfound trust of them. River continues he’ll be leader of their group. Night responds with displeasure and decides to go hunting. River ventures if she’ll be long, and if she’ll discuss the changes with him. She gripes she’ll be as long as it takes, before disappearing. River Ripple’s heart pounded as he worried if he just destroyed the tiny group he had.
He awakes to see Night with trout padding towards him. River voices he thought she’d gone forever. She replies she figured he’d need help confronting the mountain cats, and a dreamer such as himself needs a practical cat beside him. River pokes the trout happily before asking if they can dig in.
Chapter 13. River Ripple crossed a meadow. Pausing as the pungent scent of Clear Sky’s group met his nose. Pelt ruffling over them marking borders again so soon. But relishes that there’s been no more squabbles since the battle. The others in his group hadn’t questioned his new role as leader, and Croak even started bringing new shells to decorate the camp, and River started to believe they’d stay. He then came across an unfamiliar cat scent, and begin to change course right before a snarling shape leaped on him. He fought back, nearly choked by the sour-scent. The newcomer hissed that this was his territory, River asked who he was, knowing he wasn’t a mountain cat. The Tom hissed he was named One Eye. River recalled his name being mentioned by his campmates, and being cautioned to be wary of him.
River then growled he’d need to speak to Clear Sky or Tall Shadow about the land before deciding he owned it. One Eye was unfamiliar with the names, and it seemed an effort for him not to lunge at River again. River didn’t wish to fight, and decided to question if he liked fish. One Eye snarled he wasn’t an otter. River concluded they needn’t trouble eachother if they stuck to their preferred hunting grounds. As River left him, he felt frustration that there was always some cat to spoil life for others.
River warned his campmates about One Eye once he returned. Night quipped that perhaps the mountain cats would deal with him. But whatever happened, he couldn’t be allowed to interfere with them fishing the river while it wasn’t frozen. River assured they’d be fine. He then hears a rustling as Dew padded into the clearing. Dew looked hopeful as she requested if Rivers offer was still open. River grew excited asking if she wished to join his group. Dew exclaims yes, and that she hadn’t been fitting with Clear Sky’s group. And that she’s looking for a place to belong. River inquires if she can hunt and fish. Dew informs she can hunt, and will learn to fish.
Night than requests why she left. Dew replying Clear Sky found her to soft-hearted. River explains he wants cats that will look out for eachother, and invites her to pick a nest. Dew insists she will later, and wishes to add to the prey pile. River felt contentment that his group was finally beginning to form, and he’d carved a home for himself.
Dew settled well, and few days later River and Dew found themselves pursuing a rabbit. They zigzagged after it, before it eventually escaped down its hole. They both chirped they’d been out of practice, and Dew quipped the Rabbit would have to leave its burrow sometime. They got cut off as a One Eye slammed into Dew, and snarled to not steal prey from his land. River corrected that it was Clear Sky’s land. One Eye retorted he was part of their group now, and thus was his. Dew insisted they didn’t want trouble. One Eye and Snake, who had arrived, growled for them to get out. River deduced it wasn’t a battle worth fighting, and contemplated that Clesr Sky must of had thistle own in his brain for accepting such vicious rogues as they headed home.
Later River Ripple was relaxing by the river when he scented Gray Wing. He wondered why he kept returning to the Oaks since the battle. River decided to track him until he found him beside the grave they buried their dead at. River padded towards him, feeling overwhelmed by his grief. He sat beside Gray Wing. He mused that the grave would be covered in wildflowers by next greenleaf, and that he shouldn’t keep returning, and tormenting himself. Gray Wing explains he can’t bear them alone. River tells him they’re not alone, as they’re among the stars, and he should stop fretting the dead, and focus on the living. Gray Wing thanks him for his kindness, and questions if he’s sure he won’t come live with Tall Shadow’s group. River replies no, but that he’ll be at the next meeting. River felt pleased he’d lifted some weight off Gray Wing’s shoulders after he’d left.
Days later when River was enjoying a meal with his campmates, Croak escorted Tall Shadow into the camp. River ask the meaning of her visit. Tall Shadow confessed she’d been worried about Clear Sky’s Group. River guesses because of One Eye. Tall Shadow surprised he knows of him, but continues that she can’t believe Clear Sky let One Eye join his group. River suggests maybe Clear Sky will have a good influence on him. Tall Shadow scoffs in response, then continues that Clear Sky has been training his cats to fight. River asks if he learned from the last battle. Tall Shadow scoffs he clearly hadn’t. And informs if River has sense he’ll train his cats too.
River questions what if he decides not too. Tall Shadow implores he does, as she doesn’t want to lose his group, and asks if he’d leave to avoid fighting. River replies he wouldn’t, but will avoid battle at all costs. Tall Shadow seems relieved, then states they need his group, and that Clear Sky could learn from him, before proclaiming she must get back to her group and bides farewell.
Some cats that overheard the exchange come over exclaiming they know some fighting moves. River declares he wants a peaceful group. Several voice that them learning fighting moves could help keep the peace. River feels disturbed his quiet life is becoming a dark reality he wishes to not face.
River awoke, disturbed from his sleep. He told Night he needed to speak to the river, who insisted he go. He hurried out feeling that something was terribly wrong. He wondered if the spirits were calling him to another battle, if Clear Sky and One eye had attacked Tall Shadow’s Group. Emerging by the river, he felt comforted by its presence. He pleaded with the river for an answer. Images of the battle filled his mind, then the grave. He lurched to conclusion that Gray Wing was at the hollow and raced towards it. He found Gray Wing beside the grave. River felt relieved seeing him alive, but knew something was wrong, as Gray Wing seemed to struggle to sit up. River padded to him, explaining he told him to stop coming to the grave. River felt Gray Wing’s grief flooding the clearing, and concluded that returning him to his campmates had done no good. He instructed that he come with him to the island. After returning up the slope and waiting for his response. Gray Wing finally conceded to follow.

The conclusion of the battle. Night really does like this idea of forming groups to live in. Kind of ironic, considering she becomes deputy.
And here is the introduction of One Eye. Guess this confirms that he is not Hawk. We have no clue what even happened to him. I was hoping that we would see Dew joining River Ripple's camp. In TBS she is listed in the allegiances as a part of his group, but is clearly still living in the forest at the beginning of the book. Then, all of a sudden, she's a cat of the river. We don't even see Clear Sky's reaction to her leaving. But at least she got out before the whole One Eye debacle happened in her old camp.
It's also interesting that Croak is still here. I wonder if Mist is still here. And here we have Gray Wing going to temporarily join River Ripple.

I know it's weird, but seeing as I always liked the idea that Tall Shadow and Rainswept Flower were close due to their interactions in DOtC, it gives me some weird sort of happiness that she was shown grieving for her. I just like Rainswept Flower man.
Also glad that Dew was relevant. So is One Eye not Hawk? I was expecting him to be but I guess not. Kinda hope we get into new content soon, as they are going past DOtC relatively quick.

A spoiler thread that is three days old but has less than two full pages? Dang. because the exciting stuff doesn’t happen until the back 15 chapters of the book. And I’ve posted further by now. But works been pretty hectic. And they apparently decided to string all the really long chapters together on the first half.

Chapter 14.
Gray Wing pricked in frustration. He been with River Ripple’s group for the past moon, and hadn’t been able to catch any prey due to the tightness in his chest. River felt sympathy to his plight, but also relief he hadn’t returned to the grave site. River Ripple worried as Gray Wing’s breathing hadn’t improved, actually seeming worse in the time he’d been with them, and wondered if it was something other than the smoke from the fire.
As they ti shift from fish to mice. River asked Gray wing what he thought about Star Flower at last nights gathering, and observed Thunder seemed smitten by her. Gray wing hoped he wouldn’t take her as his mate. River replied he was glad Clear Sky kicked One Eye, but feared that wouldn’t be the last of him. As they ventured along a hedge. River inquired about the spreading illness. Gray Wing nodded and replied that hopefully isolating would stop the spread.
Quarter moon Later they hunted for voles downstream. They found a burrow and Gray Wing instructed River to yell down the hole to flush them out. River grew excited from the elicited squeals. Gray wing flashed forward at the back entrance. River assumed he’d caught one and sidled up to him. Suddenly a shadow appeared as a Hawk dive towards them. River knocked Gray wing out of the way, seconds before the Hawk hooked one of the voles and speed back into the Sky. River suggests they should leave. Gray Wing announces he’s ready to return to me on the way back, River’s pleased he’s ready, and offers refuge if he ever needs it. Gray Wing states he’ll miss him, and thanks him for everything.
River Ripple stood outside the camp, haunted by his vision of One Eye’s broken body, when he heard the bickering voices of Thunder and Lightning tail approaching. He greets and comments on their lack of subtlety. Thunder relays they came to request help, as One Eye has been causing trouble, and even stole an entire supply of Blazing Star. Hindering their efforts to end the sickness. River wants to say no, and return to his island of peace. But he knew the answer to lasting peace was to unite and take out One Eye. He replies he will, and that they won’t be driving him out, but they must kill him.
Chapter 15.
River Ripple and the mountain cats fled towards the River. River lamented in disbelief that their attack had failed so terribly. He cursed Star Flower’s name. Presuming she had informed One Eye of the tunnels and fouled their plan.
Once they’ve reached a safe distance, River questions if anyone beside Clear Sky has been lost. Night informs Wind Runner and Gorse fur ran the other direction. Gray Wing insists they need to rescue Clear Sky. River leads them towards a tunnel that cuts to where Clear Sky has been pinned. After some persuasion he coaxed everyone to follow him. When they arrive at the other end, River investigates to see if they’re safe before alerting everyone else to come out. As they creep forwards, they can hear One Eye’s rogue slinging insults and blows at Clear Sky. They reunite with Wind Runner who informs they’ve been to busy with Clear Sky to follow the others. Gray Wing proposes they ambush One Eye from in a tree, as the sun will prevent him for detecting them.
Once everyone’s in position. Sparrow Fur ventures out and begins taunting One Eye to follow her. Once Sparrow Fur has lured him over and leaps into a higher branch, Gray Wing whispers the signal to attack. They descend the tree and begin to tag team the rogues and separate them from One Eye. River and Night chase after the panicked rogues, who all flee into the night. River quips he wishes they’d put up a better fight, Night being shocked by his enjoyment.
The only remaining rogue was Star Flower, who stared whimpering as the mountain cats grouped around her. Night Notices a group of their cats gathered around what appears to be a body, River smells blood and fears it’s Clear Sky’s corpse. River pad over to investigate, and realizes it’s One Eye laying on the grass. Thunder proclaims he’s dead. Star Flower moans in distress, and Thunder orders her back, and that she doesn’t deserve to grieve.
River felt sympathy for the she-cat, and no satisfaction for One Eye’s death. Everyone begins to cheer their victory. River remembers his exhilaration, but voices they need remember a cat had died that day. Hollow mutters he was more like a fox. River asserts a cat has fallen. He wouldn’t celebrate the death. But realizes he’s changed, and although he loved peace, he’d accepted survival must be fought.

And that's the end of TBS segment of this book I'm presuming. Gray Wing staying with River Ripple's group, then going back to the moor. We also have One Eye's death. Night and Hollow were here during the battle as well. Next chapter should be AFD. Still hoping to see River accepting Dappled Pelt and Shattered Ice. At least we got to see his reaction to Dew joining.

And of course we barely get anything on Gray Wing's time in River Ripple's camp. Granted, I already wasn't expecting much when the preview came out, but honestly, having to wait for the last fifteen chapters to get actual original content is just sad. I love Riverstar and how calm his PoV seems to be, but maybe it's too calm. It'd be one thing if he were having his own adventures during DotC or if the book was at least giving us some extra insight into his mind like LH and OC did for Leopardstar and Onestar respectively, but it doesn't seem to be telling us anything we couldn't have already gleaned from the arc itself.
In other words, I really think the book should've started at least after DotC had ended and gone from there.

It really hurts to say but I have to agree with you, I didn't vote for a Riverstar SE just to see a rehash of DOTC for 20 chapters, I wouldn't mind 5-10 chapters but 2/3s of the book is really disappointing. I guess this follows the trend of books that mostly rehash scenes we have already seen such as LH, OS, SR instead of giving original content. This really shows that Erins/HarperCollins were just in it for the money. I'll still read the book just to be sure because Riverstar's POV does sound interesting and I love my water boy, I just hope the last 15-20 chapters turn out good.

Chapter 16.
River fluffed his fur as he awoke in a dream. He found himself at the edge of the four oaks, and felt tugged towards the spirit cats. He noticed Gray Wing, Tall Shadow and Wind Runner who nodded greetings. Thunder seemed as surprised as him to be there. River wondered if the Spirits brought them there to lecture them. He felt hollow there was no dead friends to greet him, but relieved he didn’t notice Flutter or Arc among them.
Frost, who he recognized as one of Clear Sky’s rogues, came forward and angrily questioned why he hadn’t fulfilled his destiny. River blinked in confusion. Frost continued they told them to spread like the Blazing Star. River replies they told the mountain cats. Frost scoffs that he’s there as well and there destiny is his. River proclaims he only wants peace, and doesn’t want to be entangled in their squabbles. Petal laments not even the dead have peace, and they must spread, otherwise he’ll lose everything.
River watched minnows, recalling his unsettling dream. He only wished for peace, yet since he’d fought One Eye beside the mountain cats, he’d been entwined in their fate. His thoughts got interrupted as Croak announced Dappled Pelt and Shattered Ice had come to speak to him. River inquires if somethings amiss, and they reply they’ve come to join him, and that Thunder and Tall Shadow had left the moor to form new groups, and they have chosen the river. River Ripple cautions it’ll be very different from what they’re used too. Night exclaims they’d be pleased to have them, and Dappled pelt voices delight over learning to fish. Dew asks if they’ll miss the more. Shattered Ice responds there’s too many memories, and Dappled Pelt informs the camp still feels empty without Jackdaw’s Cry, Rainswept Flower, and Hawk Swoop, and they need a fresh start.
Shattered Ice and Dappled Pelt settled in quickly, River took Shattered Ice to the water meadow days after, and inquires about the mountains, and if he missed them. Shattered Ice states only the sky. Shattered Ice questions if he’s always lived by the river. River relates he grew up in a twoleg place called a park, and reminisces about his friends there. Realizing he can’t recall their features, and fears if they’ll fade from memory. Shattered Ice breaks his thoughts, proclaiming he heard a cry. They follow the sound to a reed bed and find a she-cat moaning in pain. River sends Shattered Ice to fetch help, than attempts to soothe the distressed cat. He asks her name, which she nervously reveals is Kite. He promises she’ll be safe.
Dappled Pelt arrives and inspects Kite. River inquires if she’ll be okay. Dappled Pelt explains she’s having kits, and is confused he hadn’t guessed. She then sends him to retrieve a stick for Kite to bite on. Once Shattered Ice and He arrives back there’s two mewling kits beside kite, and One more arriving according to Dappled Pelt, and that they’ll need a warm den. Kite hopefully inquires if they’re one of the groups she’s heard about. And that she was hoping for a safe home for her kits. River happily agrees. Shattered Ice then arrives with Dew, who inform Night and Mist are getting a nest ready for Kite.
River picks up the Tom-cat, and wonders if they’ll be the first kits to grow up in his group. His heart pricks with pain, as he mentally laments that his and Flutter’s kits won’t be the first generation to kit’s to grow up by the river, as his loneliness seemed to stretch into the future.
Chapter 17.
River Ripple attempted to comfort Clear Sky as him, along with Tall Shadow and Thunder glared at Slash. River ruffled angrily. Slash had promised to return Star Flower that evening, but clearly hadn’t brought her with him. Clear Sky was interrogating Slash for failure on his promise. Slash scoffed returning Star Flower would remove all incentive for them to heed his demands. Clear Sky declares no one will agree to anything. Slash retaliates that if he wants to see Star Flower or his kits alive, they will. Than continues to propose they will give him 1 in 5 prey pieces. River coldly demands why would Slash stay, when he can hunt somewhere else. Slash sneers he’d rather have them hunt for him. Clear Sky pleas they’ll give 1 in 7. River felt pity for the arrogant tom, before asserting they’ll not starve to feed him. Clear Sky snaps that they must help him, as they promised. He then begs Slash for time to persuade them. Slash scowls that they clearly don’t care, and won’t be the only ones to be punished.
Tall Shadow, Thunder and Wind Runner stood defiantly against his threat, and wouldn’t be budged. Clear Sky desperately pleased they agree to his demands to save Star Flower. River asserts they can’t give in. Slash flashes them a contemptuous glare, before disappearing. Clear Sky then stumbles into a hapless, sobbing heap. River then tries to gain his attention. Clear Sky cries they’ve killed Star Flower, and wishes to never see them again. Wind runner rakes his ears, and tells him to stop acting like a kit, before Tall Shadow tells him to follow, as they have something to show him.
Clear Sky throws accusations that they didn’t save her once knowing where she was. Before Gray Wing arrives and declares they saved her, but the kits are coming. They race towards Tall Shadow’s camp. Wind Runner and Tall Shadow run ahead as the others stay behind. Gray Wing thanks Thunder for buying them time with Slash. River thought of Flutter, and conceded he was destined to growe old alone, and accept his heart would always ache for the life he didn’t have.
River hung at the edge of the clearing. Watching his rivermates as the worked industriously. Pleased with their determination to catch as mush as possible before the river froze over. His envy had waned in the moon and half since Star Flower gave birth, and his group has welcomes new arrivals. Dawn Miss, with their kits Pine and Drizzle from slash’s group. River liked Pine and Drizzle, but had reservations about Dawn and Miss as they were distant, and didn’t seem to share all their catches. River figured they’d learn to fit in. A moon earlier the leaders had decided to start giving young cats trainers, and that mentoring would bring out the best of them.
Night crossed the clearing to him. Commenting he’d been distant lately. And if he’d been missing Flutter. He admitted he had, before changing the subject to possible mentors for Drizzle. Their conversation was halted as Moss and Dawn entered the camp. River’s heart sank, as he realized they’d be hunting secretly again. He confronted Moss, wondering if it would provoke Dawn and Moss to leave. Moss answered that they were hungry. River explains As a group, they hunt and take care of eachother, not just themselves. And if they desire to live as loners to leave, but not with them. Moss eventually agrees that they’ll bring any prey to the pile there on out.
Two days later. He was leading a patrol along a riverbank. Trout fur spotted an indentation and inquired if it was a vole hole. Drizzle purred at the rhyme, and Trout Fur retorted she was a vole hole. River broke them up before continuing with the hunt. Pine Needle then implored Drizzle to help him find the first vole. As they scampered off, Snow Tail asked why Drizzle hadn’t changed her name at the last gathering. River reasoned she liked being Drizzle, and felt pleased she was confident with her name.
River Ripple heard someone calling his name, as he turned to find Thunder and Clear Sky on the far shore. River ushered the others to return home as he needed to speak to them. River felt foreboding after the others left. Thunder lightened the moment expressing River looked like a mother duck with all the kits. River playfully quipped they had camp fever. Clear Sky said his kits were the same if kept in camp for long. River knew the pleasantries were a distraction before they gave the bad news. River pressed for an answer, Thunders new cracked, and Clear Sky looked away, eyes brimming. River knew only one cat could affect them both this badly. It had to be Gray Wing. He questioned if he was dead. Thunder nodded. Clear Sky growled that Slash had taken Gray Wing’s kit. Thunder quickly reassured that he had been rescued, and been able to say goodbye to Gray Wing.
River Ripple asked how Tall Shadow was doing. Thunder informed she’d been grieving, as they all had. River gently assures that although he’s lost to them, he has friends among the spirit cats, and they’ll see him again. Thunder then declares Gray Wing had named them clans before his death, and all had been given their respective names. Riverclan felt easy on River’s tongue. We’re five clans now announced Thunder. Five petals like the Blazing Star, like the spirit cats said River mused. He gazed towards the river, knowing it’d thaw soon, that the flow would not only be part of him, but part of his clan.
next chapter will be River’s nine lives ceremony. I’ll get it up sometime tomorrow night. Night all.

Like I said, for better or worse, at least LH and OC gave insight into some really complicated characters and those books were really more of an exploration on why Leopardstar and Onestar did the things they did, so those books rehashing old content just from their PoVs was basically to be expected anyway.
With Riverstar though, it's not really comparable. He barely got involved in DotC, so Kate could've easily used that to her advantage and created something entirely new, if not place the book further down in the timeline since the blurb makes it sound like it'll at least be post-MFV, but Riverstar's nine lives ceremony doesn't even start until chapter eighteen, in a book that's thirty-five chapters long, and that's assuming she even had much control over the book at all.
That being said, I doubt an Ivypool or Mistystar SE would've been any better, and in Ivypool's case, I don't see what story she would've gotten that can't be covered in a graphic novel or even a novella (if they ever get back to those) that would warrant an entire SE anyway.

He barely got involved in DotC, so Kate could've easily used that to her advantage and created something entirely new, if not place the book further down in the timeline I will say though it most likely isn’t Kate’s fault, it would be the editing team, the authors get very little input into the plots they’re writing according to what Kate has said in the past

honestly this.....seems like a really boring rehash of dotc so far :/ I guess we have to vote for a cat who doesn’t need a SE next time. At least if we do that we won’t have a story that fill in the blanks in an unsatisfying manner or a boring SE. I didn’t really read the chapter spoilers. I just skimmed through them tbh because nothing in particular got my attention.

They just need to slow down SE production I think. Clearly one per year is unsustainable any more for new original plots. Maybe they could alternate graphic novels one year and super edition the next?

This and the lack of comic feels like the writers middle finger for writing something after Thunderstar’s Echo/Shadowstar’s Life (dunno what the last book of the DOTC timeline is).
So… actually Riverstar’s mind is as calm as a quiet river… ? X)

If anything, it only heightens it.

Honestly, let’s rewrite Onestar’s Confession, Leopardstar’s Hope and Riverstar’s Home.
On a bit of an unrelated note, the warriors fandom won’t like my take here but honestly I’d rewrite Bluestar’s Prophecy as well, I expected more of her backstory : something like clan wars and spying. And if she’s concerned by a prophecy make her actually involved.

And as for the poll, considering how heavily botted the last one was, I doubt there'll be another, at least so soon. The problem is that there weren't really any other interesting choices, either (Ivypool and Mistystar being the other two), so it's no wonder why so many people wanted Riverstar to win.

I must concur with the book should have started after MFV. Side note, but I'm happy to see that RiverClan is bigger than originally portrayed. I assumed that they'd bulk up the numbers by adding a bunch of Park cats. That may still happen, but I like the new additions so far.

I'm liking this book so far, thanks for posting the chapters! I was wondering are Snow Tail and Trout Fur Kite's kits?
