Mayflower That's a REALLY good point. It seems to be shown the most in ShadowClan. Like Tigerheart, even HARESTAR is annoyed by his crap, but he seems pretty well-liked by his own clanmates, and he seems very kind to them too. Same with Cedarstar and Stonetooth, both are total jerks outside of ShadowClan, but towards other ShadowClan cats? Completely nice guys. Yeah, exactly! ShC definitely has it worst in this aspect, with their duel personalities. Their cats are seen as the Bad Guysโข by everyone outside their Clan, because...I mean, they are the bad guys for a good majority of the time lol! then we see them through the eyes of cats in their Clan, and they're good cats...well, excluding how they treated poor Violetshine, but all of AVOS was a mess when it came to ShC. We do see some warriors besides Firestar who will treat everyone they encounter respectfully, whether they're a Clancat or not (Harestar is a good example, like you said. He's a rad guy), but it's not common. They're taught from birth to be automatically suspicious, and that Clanmates are the only ones you can trust.

MayflowerThis just makes me feel like Clawface didn't deserve DF though, especially if we go on his normal personality being YS or TF. Makes me wish we got more POVs from other clans though. Yellowfang and Tigerstar show that Clawface is actually a good father/mate/brother. Crowfeather's POV in his clan shows how well loved Nightcloud is.

I would normally agree, but at the same time...just because he was a good cat to his loved ones doesn't mean he wasn't a danger to everyone else, and that amounts to something just as important as how he treated his Clanmates. If you're nice to your family, but still cruel and abusive to people who aren't your family, that still makes you a bad person, point-blank. He killed a medicine cat and stole kits, and as far as we know, he was willingly complicit with a lot of Brokenstar's other crimes. When he was exiled, he then went on to help Brokenstar steal prey from the Clancats and terrorize all the Clans, including his former one, and if Graystripe hadn't been there, he would have straight-up killed Firestar (I think the book said that Clawface's jaws were literally around Firestar's throat, and Firestar was being choked to death). Those aren't minor crimes. So I can understand why he went to the DF.

He suffers from plot inconsistency. I think TF makes more sense? Like, why would he support Brokenstar over his brother, who he is close with?

To be fair, of course Clawface is going to be nice to his Clanmates. They're his Clanmates. Not all antagonists are going to be horrible or manipulative towards everyone around them, all it means is that they have standards. Even in real life, someone can be the scummiest person to have ever walked the Earth towards everyone else except towards his loved ones, even if it's just a pet. Clawface still helped kidnapped kits and killed Spottedleaf. Just because he's nice towards certain cats doesn't mean anything, nor does it necessarily make him inconsistent. It just means there's more to him than what we initially saw.
And I don't really take him in TF into account because him appearing in that novella at all is a huge inconsistency because he should've been dead by that point anyway. Graystripe clearly killed him long before Tigerclaw was even exiled. Had he actually lived long enough, he likely would've made it to StarClan.

I was surprised to find out Lionheart and Goldenflower were siblings in BP, as well as Speckletail and One-eye in GC. Dappletail, Thrushpelt, and Tawnyspots being siblings was also a surprise, since that means Thrushpelt is ooooold. Whitestorm and Bluestar being related via Snowfur. Dustpelt, Ravenpaw, Brindleface, and Frostfur (also Longtail if you count the official tree) Mudclaw and Tornear. Wrenflight and her kits: Onestar, Ashfoot, and Morningflower. Clawface and Nightstar.
that's all i can think of lol

I was also shocked to learn that Ravenpaw was Frostfur's sister, considering how she treated him in the first book, when he went to see Brindleface's kits, but it is cute, how she was protecting her sister. Clawface and Nightstar shocked me a lot too
