Does anyone else get the impression there's something going on with Bramblestar that Squirrelflight doesn't know about? I doubt Ashfur had gotten his claws into Bramblestar this early, but maybe he's gotten some kind of message from StarClan? I don't know, I just get the feeling he's worried about something happening soon and that's why he doesn't want to have kits right now and why he's so anxious about SkyClan moving. He should tell Squirrelflight if there is, as his deputy and mate, but this is Warriors, where no one knows how to communicate like a normal person, so I agree! He seemed very strangely on edge during the meeting, as if it was something that was personally affecting him. Nothing besides some sort of message from StarClan could make him act this way regards to that. Yes, he should just tell Squirrelflight instead of lashing out at her. But, you know, no one tells each other anything in this series 😌

Great, my iffyness to BrambleSquirrel has gone back to immense hate. Why do the Erins hate Squirrelflight so much? It's infuriatingly exhausting at this point. Even Bramble's law-breaking NEPHEW is literally being a better husband than him!
On a lighter note with a cuter HEALTHIER couple. I love the GrayMillie bit. They're literally just... two old farts together, they're like the definition of an elderly married couple. I love them so much. The fact that this is definitely the book Millie dies in makes me sad deep down though.

Just read the iBook preview, which is a bit longer, so I'll spoilers it - Squirrelflight going to Leafpool for romantic advice... I understand they're sisters and very close, but Leafpool? :') - Squirrelflight's anxieties are honestly so heartbreaking, and honestly? I can't even blame her. I haven't forgotten that the only way Jessy convinced Bramblestar to say with Squirrelflight was by reminding him that he had a family with her. - Not to mention Squirrelflight's previous fertility issues would make this a very sensitive topic for her. - I don't agree with Squirrelflight's SkyClan idea, but wow, Bramblestar should have handled that better. He's honestly terrible at communication and handling his temper, which are two terrible traits for a leader

I'm...not very happy about this. The Leafpool scene was okay for the most part. Just her comforting Squirrelflight but she thinks SkyClan should stay where they are.
The part that upsets me is Squirrelflight deciding to speak to Leafstar on her own. This will no doubt cause even worse problems. Sneaking off and speaking to Leafstar behind everyone's back will make everything ten times worse.
Wait.
Is this what the mystery voice in Lost Stars meant by calling Squirrelflight a codebreaker? Because she went behind her leader's back? Ooohhh.....

It looks like Dewnose may be the next builder of the clan XD
It's adorable that Mousewhisker thinks wind made the WindClan cats tiny
I love Mousewhisker again, he seems so dense, but in an adorable way
I like Leafpool a lot more in this book, and I'm glad they mentioned about Squirrelflight being like a mother to Jayfeather and Lionblaze
So, does SkyClan move to the new territory? I don't remember if it's ever stated in Lost Stars or not

I feel like the whole book is going to do Squirrelflight dirty. She's most likely going to be painted in the wrong for sneaking off and we know she doesn't have more kits, which means there's a chance she changed her mind (given Lost Stars takes place almost six months later). Given Squirrelflight and Leafpool's conversation, there's a terribly great chance they'll pull a "she realized she had everything she needed" and if that happens...Well...you know how I'll react.
Overall, I'm not very pleased with how the book is going. I'm definitely not excited to read a book where Squirrelflight is constantly painted in the wrong for having legitimate concerns and opinions and especially for being written to make bad decisions that will land her in more trouble.

Wow, I was hoping SqH would finally show us some decent Bramble/Squirrel scenes as they'd moved on from their earlier conflicts, but Bramblestar was speaking awfully to Squirrelflight here. If there is some deeper reason to his behaviour, he better apologise profusely to her after the fact. If not, and the moral of this SE ends up being 'Squirrelflight should have realised what she had all along' I will be very annoyed.
This.
I was expecting adorable, fluffy content but of course, the toxic side of the ship is portrayed instead :/
I think he does have a reason besides just disagreeing with her. Maybe an omen from StarClan (kind of unlikely considering they apparently already went silent back then) because the situation seemed to really upset him for some reason. Not that any of this excuses the way he acted. He should definitely apologize.

Mousewhisker does something, hooray! Brackenfur is the senior builder now. The territory argument is going on my nerves; I just want SkyClan to move there.
Edit: Okay, Squirrelflight wants to visit Leafstar. We will most likely see Turtlekit, Kitekit, Rootkit and Needlekit and maybe Bellaleaf with her mate too. And Tree mediates.

I kinda like these new rogues. I was expecting Sleekwhisker and her gang but I guess she's really gone. Moonlight is cool. I like how her group is a little more unique than than the typical rogue groups we get.
I'm still optimistic for this book, it seems interesting so far

I have to admit, this book took an interesting turn. Moonlight and the Sisters don't seem like typical rogues. I actually really like them and that they're willing to give up the territory once the kits arrive.
Sparkpelt and Squirrelflight's dynamic is...strange, to say the least. They seem more like regular Clanmates than mother and daughter. Probably because Sparkpelt is a flat character herself. I really wish the Erins had made her more interesting :/
I'm super worried on how the other cats will react, especially now that one Clan's leader and another's deputy are missing. Yikes.

I just read chapters three and four, here are my thoughts on that Palesky was adorable
Oh yeah, "hunting" Larksong, that's what you youngins call it these days
I love how everyone collectively hates Tigerstar2
The scene with Tree, Squirrelflight, Needlekit, and Rootkit was super cute. I'm surprised Turtlepaw and Kitepaw are only a moon older than them, they seemed older in the Lost Stars. I also thought it was sweet how Tree asked about Twigbranch.
This book seems to focus A LOT on kits. I wonder what Squirrelflight's reaction to Sparkpelt having kits is going to be
Moonlight and The Sisters seem interesting, I like how they're called "sisters" even though there's at least three toms in the group lol Despite the toms, the she-cats in the group remind me of the Amazons or something.

I didn't even know there's the second half of the second chapter, let alone the third and fourth, but I'm so happy... Leafpool and Squirrelflight's conversation is adorable, I mean yeah it's weird to go to Leaf for romantic advice but their sisterhood is amazing and Leafpool just compensates Squirrelflight's personality so much...And I'm very glad that Leafpool mentioned Jay and Lion being Squirrelflight's other kits. I love Leaf, she's so precious *cry in joy*
Wow, the territory issue is escalating to some political issues, thanks to the threat of Tigerheartstar. I can see why Leafstar wants to keep it a secret from her clanmates, but it would have been much safer had they sent out a patrol. The Sisters seems interesting tho, does this mean we're getting a matrilineal group of rouges (which would be awesome)? They don't seem to be that of a threat, unless they later took Sleekwhisker into their group or sth...

More? Yes, please!
Lol, Mousewhisker!
Mousewhisker: "I just hope hunting in the wind doesn't make us as stunted as WindClan warriors." Leafpool: "WindClan warriors are only smaller than us because their ancestors were smaller, not because of the wind." Mousewhisker: "So what made their ancestors small?" Leafpool "Only StarClan knows." Mousewhisker: "It was probably the wind."

Reading the chapter 3-4 preview - Mousewhisker is great here lol - I'm glad they acknowledge Jay/Lion/Holly as Squirrel's kits - Reading Squirrel and Leaf's conversation knowing Squirrel doesn't have more kits...I may not like her but i do feel bad for her - Oh my gosh Tree is actually patrolling?? And being a good dad?? What has the world come to?? - Yay SparkxLark moment. I love them. Oh yes, """hunting""" - The new territory actually sounds really nice - "loners or rogues" what's the difference (and don't tell me "rogues cause trouble" cause Sasha was a rogue and she did nothing wrong) - Yay we meet the rogue group! - What's up with Leafstar this seems a bit OOC - The Sisters seem p cool....well as a concept. They're p rude

- I love Leafpool and Squirrelflight's relationship. - Mousewhisker was great and hilarious, as stated above. - Nice for Leafpool's kits to be mentioned as Squirrelflight's kits. I'm glad they remembered that. - Leafpool supporting Squirrelflight on the kits department. We know it's not gonna happen, though. Then there's Leafpool telling Squirrelflight that she's not too old. - And now she's going behind Bramblestar's back... to talk to Leafstar.
- I actually like Palesky here more than I did when she was an apprentice. - Tree patrolling? I'm glad that he does at least that. And Tree asking about Twigbranch is great. - Aw. Twigbranch really wants to meet her new kin and Tree says that Violetshine can't wait to show them off. I wonder if Finleap wanted to visit his new kin as well when they were born. - Bellaleaf is already pregnant. Interesting that she's not listed as a queen in the allegiances. I wonder how old Wrenkit is by the time Lost Stars starts. With that in mind, Heathertail is probably already pregnant as well and just not listed. - Tree is being a good father and Rootkit doesn't seem to be as embarrassed of his father as he does while an apprentice. I wonder when the embarrassment started. Needlekit and Rootkit also are really cute. - Kitepaw and Turtlepaw are only a moon older? Huh! They seemed much older in LS.

- Yep, hunting. That's all you two are doing. I wonder how long before Sparkpelt's kits are born and what exactly happened to Larksong. I'm guessing that he might die before Squirrelflight and Leafpool and that Squirrelflight will see him in StC where he'll tell her to tell Sparkpelt that he'll always watch over her and their kits. - Okay, let me just say that I love Moonlight's name.

My thoughts: - In the flashback Leafpaw is called Leafpool. *sigh* - I like the suffix -dash and I don't think it's ever been used before, so I hope to see it used for one of the apprentices or kits. Kitedash? - Oh I hope this isn't setting her up to be leader. Squirrelflight is fine, but I really don't want her a leader. - Pretty sure Eaglewing is female. - Death by owl. Huh. At least it's more creative than greencough. - Thornclaw bby what are you doing. - Is it just me or was it kind of a sudden transition from hunting into Squirrelflight talking to Bramblestar? - I still am not a huge fan of SquirrelXBramble, but their convo was pretty cute. - Poor SkyClan. Can they go two books without moving? - Not gonna lie, I understand where Mistystar, Harestar, and Tigerheart are coming from but they are seriously annoying me right now. - Bramblestar makes a good point.
