D o v e h e a r t ღ -
She considered it for a moment, happy that she was willing to have her. A low purr rumbled in her throat that she did her best to hide, but didn't do successfully. She hadn't really thought about where to go, but had an idea in mind as soon as she had said it. "The gorge would be nice. I'm going on the evening patrol, though, so let's not go hunting." She paused for a moment, considering it. "But if we start smelling prey, we should go after it. It's not hunting, but it's not not hunting, if you catch my drift." Doveheart winked a bit, letting her purr get a smidge louder.

Mapleheart chuckled softly and nodded. "That's sounds good. Lets go then." Mapleheart playfully nudged passed Doveheart and headed towards Leapers Gorge. Mapleheart had heard many storied of Leapers Gorge. Most of them ending in death. One of Maplehearts favorite story was of how the Leapers Gorge came to be. It was a long story but the elders loved to tell it to the kits on raining days.

Frostpaw stood crouched low to the ground shivering and shaking from his near death experience. The elangant tom flicked his attention from the shaking apprentice and to Blazingpaw and Woodpaw. The toms eyes were odd, one a piercing blue and the other a cool amber. The tom looked a bit angry. "You two are lucky your friend didn't fall to his death!" He growled loudly.

D o v e h e a r t ღ - She felt a little flutter in her chest as she nudged her, but immediately forced herself to push the feeling down deep. In her mind, she wasn't supposed to feel that kind of affection, especially not towards Mapleheart, a she-cat. When she couldn't see her, she shook her head a bit, trying to shake off the feelings. She quickly began trotting next to her, her long legs getting her there in no time whatsoever. "So, how's life? How's Frostpaw?" She questioned, remembering that she actually did have an apprentice. It forced Doveheart to rethink her previous remarks about grumpy apprentices, but it was too late to go back and change it, and much, much too late to backtrack. StarClan, why couldn't I have remembered Frostpaw earlier? I'm such a mouse-brained phony.

Mapleheart thought for a second, her whiskers twitching slightly as she thought. "Frostpaw is doing well, but Woodpaw keeps pushing him around and telling him what to do. I tried talking with Woodpaw but its like talking to a tree." Mapleheart mumbled softly. "But other than that everything is doing well." Mapleheart smiled softly. "How are you doing?"

Woodpaw stomped over to the edge of the gorge his tail lashed back and forth. "Your on Hollowclan territory!" He yowled loudly. Frostpaw had finally calmed down from his near death experience and was now glancing over at the tom. The elegant toms tail was now lashing also. "If i wasn't here your friend here would be dead! If you want i can just toss him over the edge!"

D o v e h e a r t ღ - Doveheart listened carefully to her speak. Amused by the pun about Woodpaw but refusing to let herself purr, she found the tip of her tail twitching when finding out that he was being pushy. She kept it under control, though, only letting her tail flick once. She hated cats that did that, but she was one to do that in a more subtle way, so she wasn't comfortable saying it. It went unnoticeable for the most part, but anything to risk cats questioning her integrity was to be kept to herself and only to herself. "He's young, hopefully, he'll grow out of it. If he doesn't, I'd go straight to his mentor or even Sharpstar, but maybe give him a moon or two. That's just my suggestion, though, you're the mentor here. But I'm glad to hear that overall, things are doing well." She listened as the conversation changed. Doveheart debated telling her the truth. It would be so easy to let one cat know, but it wasn't going to happen. At least, not today. Instead she just answered, "Good, as per usual. No complaints here." And kept walking.

Mapleheart nodded and glanced over to Doveheart, "Lets hope it doesn't come down to that, but i'm glad everything is going well for you." Mapleheart's ears suddenly flicked, as if she heard something. "Did you hear that?" She asked softly. She paused and listened carefully. The two cats were half way to Leapers Gorge but it sounded like some cats were in a rather intense argument.

D o v e h e a r t ღ - A short purr came from her throat as she talked to her. Dear star, she liked Mapleheart. She was quieter and easy to talk to--Everything was more relaxed around her. Doveheart felt like she could tell her anything. Her ears perked up as they began to get closer, and sure enough, her walking sped up a bit. Upon realizing that it did, she slowed back down to stay near Mapleheart, but nodded slowly. "I hear it. It's a bit far but I can hear it." She paused. She didn't want to go over and make sure everything was okay, because in all honesty, she just wanted to have a relaxing walk with her friend. But unfortunately, she had an 'image' to maintain and needed to stay looking like she was a good cat. She really was trying to be, anyways. "Let's go make sure everything is okay before we get back to our walk."

The elegant tom sighed heavily. "Why am i arguing with a bunch of kits." He said softly. His gaze flicked to Frostpaw who looked like he had no idea what to do. "Alright lets just calm down, im Rook." Rook paused as Woodpaw spoke up. "I don't care what your name is! Just leave Hollowclan territory before i come over there and chase you away!" If Woodpaw had the nerves he would have jumped the gorge by now and would have chased this odd tom away.

Mapleheart nodded softly. "I hope everything is ok." Mapleheart's ears flicked back, "Lets hurry." Mappleheart trotted forward , her fluffy tail brushing Doveheart's side. "I hope we get there in time before someone gets hurt." She meowed softly. The small pale ginger she-cat didn't like fights and was usually the peace maker but if it came down to it she would protect anyone that she loved.

D o v e h e a r t ღ - Knowing that she had made the right choice of words in that moment, she let out a silent breath of relief. She could sense worry in Mapleheart, which was concerning, but not too bad. After all, anyone would be concerned in this situation. Even Doveheart, who forced herself to not get attached to cats emotionally, felt a twinge of fear for the cats involved in the argument. She allowed to let her legs move a bit faster, approaching the gorge rapidly. "So do I..." She muttered, her pace increasing as she spoke. Though Doveheart wouldn't hesitate to fight, she had always had an issue with knowing when to stop fighting. It was an easy and true assumption to say that she could be easily driven to murder.

Frostpaw shook were he stood. "I-i cant, what if i fall?" He murmured. "You did it fine the first time!" Woodpaw called over to Frostpaw. Frostpaw looked down at the gorge and shook his head. "I-i cant." He said simply. Frostpaw didn't even want to get near the gorge anymore, he just wanted to go back to camp and fall asleep.

Mapleheart leaped over a large boulder in her way. He looked over to Doveheart. "Only fight if it is necessary." She meowed softly. "Lets hope we don't have to." Mapleheart shivered slightly. She really didn't like fighting. Soon the pair reached Leapers Gorge. Mapleheart quickly noticed Blazingpaw and Woodpaw with Frostpaw and a mysterious tom on the other side of the gorge. "What in starclan is going on here." She meowed softly.

D o v e h e a r t ღ - She nodded slowly. She understood and would follow orders, but there was only a certain fight that she could restrain. She wasn't uncontrollable, but as soon as she saw a trespasser, someone that she didn't recognize near the apprentices, her first reaction was to be violent. However, she held herself back. "This doesn't look safe for them," She meowed, her mew a bit more faced paced. She didn't always like apprentices, per say, but the clan had given her a home when she was their age, and she had grown into it quite well. Which meant that she was protective of the younger cats. Had Mapleheart not been there, she would've entered the situation immediately, but she didn't, because Mapleheart was Frostpaw's mentor. As they approached, the tip of her tail twitched, her deep blue eyes becoming more hostile as she walked up, shooting daggers at the unknown tom. "and who are you?" She added onto Mapleheart's question, smelling rouge on the new cat, which was never a good sign.

Woodpaws gaze flicked to Doveheart and Mapleheart. "Frostpaw jumped the gorge and he also fell in but this cat saved him and now Frostpaw wont jump back over." Woodpaw said this very quickly, he kept out how it was his idea for Frostpaw to jump the gorge. Rook seemed relived that some older cats had appeared. The odd eyed tom sighed softly. "Im Rook, or Rook A Too. I found these three playing around the gorge and saved this one from fall to his death." His long fluffy tail flicked towards Frostpaw. Maplehearts gaze flicked to Woodpaw and Blazingpaw. "Why were you three playing near the gorge?" She asked loudly.

D o v e h e a r t ღ -
She felt her tail start twitching when Woodpaw spoke about Frostpaw jumping into the gorge. She had known Frostpaw to be a bit trepidatious, a bit more on the cautious side, and she didn't even know Frostpaw that well. She had only met him in passing. Not to mention that if he jumped over once and confirmed he could do it, he should have no issue jumping back. Hence, she took a running start and leapt over the gorge, landing beside the apprentice and standing between him and Rook. It felt important to establish a physical barrier between them--Not to mention that Doveheart wanted to be close in case she was to attack, which got increasingly obvious that she was considering it. However, she had to let Mapleheart handle most of the situation--She was the mentor, after all.
