Sable looked down at the floor, her eyes averted elsewhere from Jack. “Me and my littermates. Got separated.” She rubbed a paw in the dust, sending a flume of it into the air. “I ended up in the wrong part of rogue territory. I got attacked and ended up with this.” Sable swung her injured leg helplessly. “Then I went into twolegplace, try and find some food or shelter, cause I figured it’s all kittypets there. Almost got ran over by a monster.” The light tabby sighed, leaning back on her haunches. “I prefer this life alone. Independence. So, are you from around here?”

"Ain't no monster gonna climb a tree."Stick rumbled."Why're you out here?" Koda simply rolled his eyes, a look of irritation in his eyes. He sat down neatly before wrapping his tail around his paws. "Does that really matter?" he huffed before beginning to groom his chest fur.

"When you live in a tree it does."Stick answered. He sat down on his branch and started chewing on one of the acorns growing on it.

The tom abruptly lifted his head to look back up at the older cat. "Back up, back up. You're telling me you live up there?" he questioned with an accusatory tone.

(Nite Jack chuckled."I own the territory 20 badger lengths from the pond in all directions." “Sorry for invading your territory.” Sable swallowed, gazing at Jack with anxious eyes. She flicked an ear, then a scouring pain filled the side of her head. ”Oh great. Forgot about that wound.” She hissed in pain and placed a paw on her head. No blood was on her paw when she brought it back down. Calmly, Sable limped towards the shiny pond, and gazed at her reflection in it. Her jaw dropped. Her brown ear had been half torn off, the other one nicked badly. ”So how did you come across to own so much territory?” Sable asked Jack, averting her eyes to him. Protractor

Olive blinked in astonishment. "You mean, you'd really teach me how to take care of myself?" Buzzing excitement mingled with uncertainty in her chest, and she swallowed nervously. I must be crazy to consider leaving! But... Now that it comes to it, I think it'd be alright. Smokey's used enough to living on his own. I know his housefolk are nice, but they don't depend on me for company like my old Twoleg did. She shook her head thoughtfully. "I don't even know your name, but you'd be willing to train me?"
(Blueflame123 and embertuft) Summer blinked, surprised by the loners' hostility. Then she noticed the tom's drenched pelt and the reek of river-water wreathed about him and understood. She first addressed the she-cat politely. "I'm Summer. I visit the river sometimes to collect herbs." She turned towards the tom, whiskers twitching with amusement. "I was here for watermint, but I think some lavender and thyme wouldn't go amiss after the soaking you went through. I can get some for you, if you'd like-- both grow just on the other side of those willows." She pointed with her tail in the direction of the herbs.

Maverick eventually finished his bird and buried the remains. He takes a moment to groom his fur before rising to his paws and continuing on his way. Rose narrowed her eyes thoughtfully. From the uppermost branches of a gray pine, she'd witnessed the tom's interaction with that mangy, bleeding-heart alley-cat. It would be difficult to recruit him, now that he'd met one of the friendliest among them. I don't think he's beyond convincing, though... She turned to Sleet. "Time for you to show off." They slithered down from the tree and padded in the direction the tom had disappeared. After a moment's trot, Rose caught sight of him through the undergrowth in the distance. "Now," she whispered. The ginger she-cat leapt into a desperate, break-neck sprint, glancing back over her shoulder as Sleet tore after her, his fangs bared in a snarl and his eyes speaking murder. " Help, please!" she gasped, mortal terror in her breathless meow. "Some cat, please help!"

Sable sable gazed in quiet awe as Jack listed off his family. “I have a sister, Bayfeather, and a brother, Mouse. My parents are Grey and Parsley. My father used to be Parsleystar, but they only gave Bayfeather a Clan name.” She flicker her tail at her paws gently. “I used to be a Clan cat, but the Clan was already dying when we were born. My mother gave Bayfeather a Clan name in hope that she would pass on the traditions of the naming. Then we left, and was raised in a barn. Fourteen moons later, here I am.”

“You do?” Sable asked, almost jumping in delight. She didn’t want to make Jack feel like she was invading his territory, and she was too awkward to ask to stay. “Why not, it’s not like I’m going anyway.” Sable shuffled her paws awkwardly, her head looking around Jack’s territory. “I must’ve invaded earlier without realising, I recognise part of this territory.”

“That’s good.” Sable said, a flicker of a smile on her face. She suddenly winced as she felt a drop of rain lash onto her pelt. “Maybe we should get inside a den?” She suggested.

“I don’t mind.” Sable purred quietly, trotting carefully into the den, trying not to tread and a stray tail or paw. “Is that nest empty?” She pointed to a small nest near the edge of the den, no one seemed to be using it, and it didn’t seem of any importance.

Smokey nodded and padded off towards a clearing and pricked his ears and smelled the air."I think there's something over there."He whispered and stalked over to a hazel bush.He jumped in and came back out with a small shrew."I did it!"He beamed. Rain purred and butted heads with him. "See it isn't that hard!" She meowed as she sat down and began to groom her pelt. She wanted to run, she was full of energy now and just wanted to enjoy the nice day. Before leaf-bare... She thought to herself. (Where do you want to go with this rp?))

Bayfeather - Bayfeather chuckled slightly at Crow’s comment, sitting down on the floor too. Her legs were exhausted from attempted hunting sessions, all which had failed. ”Wouldn’t it be.” She purred in amusement. “I’m not the best fighter you’ll find.” The grey and white she cat gazed over the horizon, looking at the sunset which was starting to form. ”I know Sable is out there somewhere. She always loved the sunsets.” Mouse - Mouse glanced at Frost for a second, his eyes wide in alarm. All of his body was consumed in fear and terror. Panicked, he unsheathed his claws and flared up his pelt. ”What do we do?” He murmured to the she-cat. Blueflame123 Crow watched as she settled to her paws too. His eyes slightly worried for her when she gazed off into the horizon and talked about her sister. "Maybe she will show up soon..." He said quietly, watching as the sun set. He glanced back at Bayfeather. "What exactly happened? Why did you split up with your littermates?" He asked, hesitantly at first. He looked down at his paws after he spoke. Frost pressed beside him, her pelt mingling with his. She did it to comfort him but also to comfort herself. "I dont know." She murmured quietly. She felt her fur rise more as she just stared at the other cat. What if there were more cats? "Are you alone?" She asked boldly, watching for any sort of ambush.
