( yeah, call me whatever you like, Zee (: and Crowskip is asexual, but she's unsure about her romantic orientation. like, she's never had feelings for another cat, and she's not actively seeking a relationship, but it could happen. ) Crowskip | accompanied by Hornetstar [ 🇳ᴇcʀᴏᴅ🇦🇳cᴇʀ ] and Buzzardglide [ 𝑮ᴀᴍᴢεε ☣ ] "Great!" Crowskip's face lit up at the other warrior's quiet smile. She didn't know much about Buzzardglide, but she knew that the curly-furred molly took her warrior duties very seriously, leaving little time for socializing. Come to think of it, Crowskip had seldom seen Buzzardglide in conversation with other cats; maybe that was why she hadn't spoken to her before. She wasn't about to let that deter her from making a new friend, however. Rather, she decided right then and there, she would do everything she could to get Buzzardglide to crack a smile until they parted company.
The little black cat bounded over to join the small clowder gathering around Hornetstar. The camp was beginning to buzz with mews as more cats came slipping from the shadows, yawning and blinking in the sunlight. She tilted her face up at her leader and listened attentively, ears flicked forward. "The Flint Mines!" she whispered, shooting her companion a delighted sideways look. "Totally spooky!" She dipped her head respectfully toward Hornetstar. "I'd be happy to come along," she offered, shifting from paw to paw. "If you'd have me, of course."
Crowskip was fully aware that some cats didn't like having her along on patrols because she talked too much. She wasn't sure why, because she saw nothing wrong with being excited about life, but if she had to guess, it was because they found her enthusiasm annoying. Or, perhaps the tough leafbare had left the others jaded. But she tried not to think about that. She wrinkled her forehead slightly, trying to look serious. She'd never patrolled with the Clan leader before, and the last thing she wanted was for him to find her obnoxious. How embarrassing would that be!

[Oh right on! =o) If things do happen to develop between them a romantic relationship sounds like it would be fun, but I won't push it of course. And don't mind that Buzzardglide doesn't respond much, that's not me trying to cut the RP off with Crowskip, it's just because Buzzardglide doesn't offer much in conversation lmao.]
"I'll offer my services as well." Stated Buzzardglide, settling her confident gaze onto her leader and offering a respectful dip of her head. It had been a long time since she had scoured the flint mines, mainly because nothing good came from there... Prey was plentiful, but there were so many rats that it made exploring dangerous... Other than the filthy, vicious rodents there were also strange two-leg artifacts that boggled the mind, and always made Buzzardglide uneasy... That whole place just gave her the worries. But, the golden molly was never one to turn down an expedition, no matter how daunting.

Hornetstar - - - Crowskip {Tealraven } Buzzardglide {𝑮ᴀᴍᴢεε ☣ }
Somewhat amused by the shecat's excitement at the prospect of the Flint Mines, an area known for being particularly enjoyable to explore. The endless tunnels provided ample area for discovering the underground territories of the clan, as well as being a good place to go in search of prey for the clan. "I'm glad you approve," the tom cat responded with a twitch of his whiskers, his multi coloured eyes lit with a quiet amusement at the shecat's response. Anticipation for a hunt was by no means a bad thing, if anything it helped on nastier days when the weather was less than enjoyable, and a positive attitude would always be welcome on the leader's patrols. Even if other cats might be prone to finding such attitude annoying to some extent. Considering for a moment, as his gaze flicked skywards to study the horizons overhead, contemplating for a heartbeat. For the most part the skies were reasonably blue, intermittent with splashes of grey standing out against the colour, but seemingly free of the threat of rainfall. At least for the time being, it seemed like a prime opportunity to get out of camp, before the heavens opened upon them. Lets get going, he decided to himself with a decisive twitch of his ear tips, I'd rather not have to swim home. The leader, much like the majority of the clan despised getting wet, and even if it wasn't always convenient to arrange patrols around the weather, even he preferred it that way. Pulling himself to his paws when it seemed he had the overall agreement of his clanmates, the leader moved a foxlength or two in the direction of the camp exit. Looking back to the two warriors beside him expectantly, "If you're ready, shall we get going?" Hornetstar offered. Always a diplomat, even if his ranking didn't make such a necessity.

Sorry these are really short- i'm tired and hungry xDDD
The tom sat up slowly, his eyes grazing over the rabbit as Stormlily seemed to have lost he appetite before she voiced it. He blinked and sighed. "Alright, well... I'm not really hungry either. Maybe one of the other queens would enjoy it, then. Or maybe the elders." The warrior mewed, slowly standing up as he twitched his whiskers. He looked at Stormlily once more before shrugging and nudging the rabbit over to the other side of the nursery.
Nightwatcher turned his attention back to his mate, blue eyes glittering with energy once more. "Well... Unless you want to stay cooped in the nursery all day, maybe you and I could go take a walk instead? I could probably catch a few more things before we come back." The young warrior tom meowed, nudging Stormlily's shoulder. He was hoping she'd want to at least spend time with him while they still had time, and weren't swamped with caring for their kittens.
S u n f l o w e r p a waccompanied by: character [ tag ] Sunflowerpaw was exhausted to say the least. The night before she had decided to head outside of camp for a fun play time with Spiderpaw. She figured the other apprentice was still sleeping, however, the medicine cat apprentice was up earlier than most to help her mentor with herb collecting. She was given the task to head out with a patrol at some point to fetch some fresh rugwort. She yawned and stretched in her nest before slowly slipping out of the medicine cats den.
The small molly looked around slowly before spotting her father and two warriors. Blinking slowly, she figured she could probably go out of camp with them if they were going out any time soon. Slowly limping over, the young molly purred. "Good morning!" The apprentice chirped to them as she yawned softly. She blinked at her father. "My mentor asked me to go on a patrol to herb hunt. Is it okay if I go with you if you three are heading out?" She asked, amber eyes glittering hopefully.

( lol no worries, my other character Stormtide isn't very talkative either ) Crowskip | accompanied by Hornetstar [ 🇳ᴇcʀᴏᴅ🇦🇳cᴇʀ ] and Buzzardglide [ 𝑮ᴀᴍᴢεε ☣ ] Crowskip nodded and glanced over her shoulder at Buzzardglide. "I'm ready if she is." Without waiting for a response, she padded after Hornetstar, trying not to walk too quickly and pass the Clan leader, but not wanting to drag so much that she fell behind. She nearly stumbled in her attempt to slow her pace as they headed out into the forest.
Almost immediately, the tantalizing perfumes of the woods swept over her, invigorating her senses. The territory was still somewhat barren, but here and there drops of green budded hesitantly on empty branches. Underneath the hard-packed soil, new life was beginning to stir, and overhead the twitter of a single bird filled her ears. There wasn't much prey to be found here yet, but it wouldn't be long before the freshkill pile was consistently full again. Fortunately, the Flint Mine tunnels offered shelter from the harsh winds of leafbare, so maybe they would get lucky there.

Hornetstar - - - Crowskip {Tealraven } Buzzardglide {𝑮ᴀᴍᴢεε ☣ }
Had it not been for the toms tentative hearing, or perhaps rather the fact it was his daughter’s voice that was the source of it, the leader likely wouldn’t haven noticed the cat they had half left in their wake by the time Sunflowerpaw had scrambled to catch up with the trio of cats. Turning his attention back to the space they’d just left to spot his daughter limping to catch up with them, admittedly the dark ginger tom’s expression lit up tenfold when he caught sight of the medicine cat apprentice. “Of course,” he replied, brushing his head against hers in greeting as she caught up. The towering tom pausing as his patrol continued ahead without him. “You’re always welcome to accompany us!” Since his daughter had parted with the path of a warrior to put her paws to more healing purposes, the pair didn’t spend as much time together as Hornetstar would have liked. Whilst he anticipated the day his daughter became medicine cat; the most trusted advisor for a leader, with much excitement. He couldn’t help but feel the rift separating them greaten with the less time they spent together, though he did his best to ensure to check up on the shecat. Their lives were busy in their own way nowadays, so times like this were always a gift to the leader. And one he tried to make the most of, given their unfortunate rarity. Looking up to see Crowskip and Buzzardglide looking back to the pair expectantly, the towering tom cat pressed forward with a flick of his tail. Expecting his daughter to keep pace with them, though admittedly adjusting his own gait in an attempt to make her life easier when keeping up with the able bodied and far larger clan mates on the patrol. “Come on then,” he decided, wanting no more dawdling. “Let’s get going before the skies drown us!” Dodging with ease and expertise through the long grass and woodlands of the clan territory, it wasn’t long before the quarter of cats had made their way to the Quarry that gave way to the Flint Mines, though long abandoned twoleg scent still lingered in the air, enough to make a cars hairs stand on end across the spine unless well versed in the area. But the leader stood unmoving for a moment, scanning the area silently in search of the tunnels that would lead them deep underground, and with any luck; to the prey sheltering within..
Stormlily - - - Nightwatcher { -` percy ´- .✫ 🌊 }
Grateful when her mate didn’t make too much complaint at her decision not to eat, and well aware the other occupants of the nursery would make great use of the half eaten rabbit in her absence. The calico always felt an ease around her mate that she felt around few others, but still that did little to help her naturally timid attitude towards life. Confrontation wasn’t in her nature, but still she’d rather avoid being sick as a consequence of being made to eat with an upset stomach. Her ears perked up at the warriors suggestion, the confines of the nursery were boring, even if it provided a great amount of space. It felt like a cage all the same to the queen, and the idea of the world outside camp made her pine. That coupled with the thought of spending a while in privacy with the tom she loved made the idea sound appealing. Yet their was an uncertainty in her chest that despite her excitement, she couldn’t quite extinguish with logic nor excitement. Confinement was there to keep a queen safe, or more importantly the innocent lives she carried safe from the harm offered by the outside world. Still, she couldn’t imagine what true harm a short walk free of camp walls would do for her. Boredom had its consequences as well, and her paws itched with anticipation for a run. “I’d love to go!” She said after a short while of contemplation, eyes lit with quiet excitement..

As she did most of the time, Buzzardglide took up the end of the party of cats. She did this to secure the back flank, if an animal were to stalk up on them, it would give Buzzardglide the opportunity to take the hit, instead of a more important cat, like the leader's daughter. It was a small act that she always did in patrols, just to make herself feel better, if anything. The golden tabby said little as they treaded through the territory to the old abandoned mine, though all along the way she couldn't stop thinking about the curious two-leg technologies and trinkets... Buzzardglide had never seen a two-leg herself. But she heard... Stories. giant, furless creatures, towering as large as trees, walking on two feet. Though the worst things about them were their strange artifacts, like those roaring monsters that roamed the black paths. Or the screaming rippers that tore down entire trees. They ate the forest as if it were their own, changing it to suit their liking - mother nature had no will to stop them... Even starclan did it. Of course, Buzzardglide didn't believe in such things as their ancestors. She pulled herself from her worrisome thoughts as they arrived to the quarry, and already she could smell the overwhelming scent of rat and mouse. The mines had so many tunnels that Buzzardglide wondered if it was ever fully explored. Surely for an adventurous cat it must have been the ultimate gauntlet of challenge. Who knows what could be down there for the finding? But this wiry haired shecat had no interest in spelunking the caverns. She wanted to catch her prey and get out as soon as possible.

As his patrol spread out beside him as the leader continued to track even the slightest movement before them, before seeming to deem the area safe for the quartet to explore without further hesitation. Casting a gaze back towards his daughter, a silent warning for her to keep herself safe and secure whilst the trio of warriors departed on their hunting ventures. Delegating trust didn't come easily to the young tom, especially not after having lost his mate; but all the same the handsome leader knew he couldn't keep his gaze fixed on the shecat for the rest of his life. So he allowed his gaze to pull free of her frame, but made a mental note to keep an ear perked in her direction, Just in case. When it came to his daughter, there was no such thing as too careful. With a flick of his ginger and white tail, he indicated for the patrol to depart on their separate ways for the time being. Not looking back to see whether his order had been followed, the muscled tom cat began his careful descent to the quarry floors. Multicoloured eyes fixed carefully on the tunnel he had arbitrarily chosen to explore for the morning's task. His paws making indentations in the ground underfoot, still damp from the recent rainfall. He pushed through the entrance of the tunnel, carefully silent for fear the slightest breath would pick up an echo within the cave. Ruining any chance of conducting a successful hunt. The last visible part of the tom cat was his dark ginger tail, before it too dissapeared into the midnight black tunnel without a word.

Having to reply on my phone because my computer is being weird. =o( Sorry if it ain’t as good.
Buzzardglide trailed away from the party upon Hornetstar’s request, splitting up to find prey was always the better way. She veered down a left tunnel, slipping into the inky blackness of complete darkness. Here they were far away from the shedding light of morning, her eyesight slowly became familiar with the dark, and she could begin to make out figures as she walked. It seemed easy to get lost down these tunnels, the winded into a labyrinth, so Buzzardglide made sure to mark where she had been by a clawing a small x wherever she went, that way it would be easy to discern which way was out. She laid low and tasted the air, the smell of prey far away, but still present. The golden tabby loosened her posture and began to walk slower, looking at the two-leg equipment that garnered so much of her fascination, and fear. Although it had been moons and moons since two-legs had inhabaitated these tunnels, their strong smell was still hanging from their tools. For a moment she was more focused on these things than of hunting, she padded up to a small wooden table with some chairs beside it. Everything was covered in a very thick layer of dust. As Buzzardglide hopped yo on the chair she could feel the dust dance under her nostrils. She fought back a sneeze, swallowing it down and looking at the small, colorful cards that lay spread across the table. Although Buzzardglide would not be able to comprehend it, it seemed that whoever was here last were Black Jack. Several cards lay scattered across the table, some loose change thrown here and there. An ash tray still carried in it the butt of a cigarette that smelt foul. Buzzardglide made the mistake of closely examining it, but pulled away with a growl as the smell of tabaccoo attacked her nose. The golden tabby hopped back down with a gentle landing, stirring some of the cards in her wake. Such strange creatures... I’d be fortunate to never have to run into one. She continued deeper into the maze like cavern, where the scents of prey, but also predators, was starting to become more potent.

Echokit. Pretty much a runt by every meaning of the word, this delicate young shecat wasn't expected to survive past her first night, but despite her small size and quiet nature, Echokit is quite the fighter. As she has been fighting almost since day one to remain alive. A small but elegant young cat, set on a slender frame. Her coat is predominantly a very dark grey, but striped with marks of white all across her back and body, with a splash of colour marking her muzzle and ears. Her eyes leave little doubt as to who her parents are, being the almost identical shade of orange amber to her mother's; Blackswan. A shy but sweet shecat, Echokit is marked with a surprisingly silver tongue, charming and kind complements this little shecat, though a shyness that makes her a difficult friend to make. 🇳ᴇcʀᴏᴅ🇦🇳cᴇʀ

It didn't take long in his trek through the tunnels before he caught the sound of quiet sniffling on the weak wind flow of the underground. The hulking tom's ears perked forward, rasping his tongue across his lips at the distinctive scent of mouse tantalised his appetite. But the purpose of this catch would not be the gratifying of his own hunger, but someone else's. Claws slipped from their sheathes, as he lowered himself instinctually into the hunter's crouch. Alert eyes picking up on movement even in the poorly lit tunnels as he approached with silent caution. Careful to keep his paws silent as they tread through the soft dirt underground, the only movement was the slick of his paws and the twitch of his tail. A veteranned warrior in action, and a hungry one at that. A lethal combination. Pausing as he reached within pouncing distance, the prey in question innocently oblivious to the fate that awaited them near mouselengths away. The tom cat lunged on silent paws, colliding with the mouse in silence and the killing blow was delivered with ease even in the compact conditions of the tunnels. Smiling in triumph at his minor victory, the leader buried the creature on the spot. Careful to scent mark the area in order to remember where it had been left, as otherwise the lack of visual stimulation to indicate such would make finding it once more would be difficult. By now his characteristic dark ginger coat was instead coated with black and browns of the earth he traipsed endlessly through. Eyes narrowed with concentration as he moved, barely noticing the less than appetising nature of his appearance. every sense focused on the task of returning with as much prey as possible. When the scrabbling sound of tiny paws on slick earth once again caught his attention, the dark ginger tom pressed on through the dark.

Buzzardglide had traveled quite a while without any sign of prey, and now she was starting to get suspicious... Why would prey avoid this tunnel in particular? Though, just as she was about to put the pieces together, something underneath her smushed into her paw pads. ”Aug!” She vocalized in disgust, looking down to see she had stepped in another animal’s droppings. She scraped it off her paws using the cave walls. There was a soft chittering that began to echo, the wiry hairs on Buzzardglide’s back prickled immediately. She looked around, noticing that the tunnel opened up into a larger space up ahead, like a chamber. She slowly crept her way forward, ears pricked. The chittering began to get louder. The golden tabby peeked her head around the corner, expecting to see some sort of large badger or fox up ahead, but there was... Nothing. The room was empty. But the sound only got louder. That’s when Buzzardglide looked up to see a hundred pairs of beady red eyes looking down at her from the ceiling. Bats... They laid dormant, hanging from the cave ceiling, likely sleeping. The warrior did her best not to panic, and instead slowly tip toed out of the room. Bats on their own were nothing to be afraid of, and in fact even made for a decent source of prey, but hundreds of them... It would be easy to get swarmed, and it was always a risk, as the bite of a bat could house many illnesses. Buzzardglide decided that before she priortized anything else she should tell Hornetstar, and he would decide what to do from there. The golden molly carefully made her way back down the hallways.

Crowskip | accompanied by Hornetstar [ 🇳ᴇcʀᴏᴅ🇦🇳cᴇʀ ], Buzzardglide [ 𝑮ᴀᴍᴢεε ☣ ], and Sunflowerpaw [ -` percy ´- .✫ 🌊 ] Upon Hornetstar's command, Crowskip slipped into the shadows crowding around the tunnel's maw. She paused to let her vision adjust to the sudden darkness, her eyes flickering eerily in the gloom like twin golden flames. She wrinkled her nose at the damp, rotting smells of old wood and long-buried earth. The young warrior had only been to the mines a scant number of times, and whenever she passed them by on other patrols they sent an odd shiver down her spine, like someone tiptoing over her grave. There was something tangibly wrong about this place, and the unnatural holes dug deep underground by Twolegs. It both excited her and filled her with a sense of foreboding.
The tunnel sloped downward, the air growing heavier with moisture and mildew-scent as she walked. Crowskip sneezed, and was startled to hear the sound bouncing off the walls all the way down. Her ears flattened in frustration. Mouse-dung! Whatever was up ahead must have heard her and scampered off. She'd have to try a different route. She retraced her steps and squeezed into a different tunnel that branched off to the left. Here, the trail narrowed enough that her whiskers brushed the walls. After several uncomfortable minutes of claustrophobia, the tunnel broadened into a larger chamber. From the corner came the telltale sound of scratching claws and muffled squeaks.
Crowskip flicked her ears forward and dropped into a stealthy crouch. Normally, her jet-black coat made her stand out in the forest environment, but down here she was just another shadow prowling along the wall. She could use her size to her advantage in these cramped tunnels, and get into places other cats had trouble reaching. She crept around the perimeter of the chamber, following the sound of her quarry. She was close enough now she could smell the warm bloodbeat of mice, and her tongue swept involuntarily around her jaws.
A flash of grey darted out from beneath a large, metal object covered in cobwebs and dust. Crowskip didn't have the words for it, but beneath the overturned minecart she could see several beady eyes reflecting back at her in the half-light. She stiffened; if she timed this right, she could pounce on the whole nest before they had a chance to escape, and possibly score more than one mouse. This far below the earth, there was no wind to carry her scent away, so she'd have to be extra careful. Slowly... painstakingly slowly... she crawled forward, one paw at a time. In the distance, she heard a flurry of wingbeats and the startled cry of another cat. Other than that, the only sound was her paws hitting the ground and the twitter of rodents. Patience, Crowskip, she thought, gritting her teeth. Nearly there, annnnd...
"Aha!" With a yowl of triumph, Crowskip leaped forward, claws outstretched and glinting lethally. She pounced and felt bones break under her weight. In less than a heartbeat she delivered the killing blow to the two mice trapped in her grasp. Two sharp snaps of her teeth, and it was over. She looked up in time to see the remaining mice flee up the tunnel. Satisfied with her kill, she picked up her prizes by their tails and headed back for the outside world. If she came across any other hapless rodents on the way, well, the more the merrier!
