Our history has not been peaceful, our home littered with dangers and our lives filled with unease. SummitClan is not a place for the weak at heart or cowardly in nature. For in a world where one can never be certain of what lingers in the shadows, nor just who can be trusted breeds a cat cold at heart and mean by nature. And a cat that is capable of surviving even the cruellest of circumstances. From illness, natural disaster and the threat of predators, fate has thrown everything our way in an attempt to see SummitClan rendered in ruin and forced into extinction. Time and time again we have risen from the ashes stronger than before. Stubborn and hot headed as we might be, we are survivors. But the threat that might see us ended is a kind we never dreamed of facing. This new threat comes from our own ranks, and in a form far darker than thought possible. Intent on seeing the clan fall into the darkness the rest of the world has succumbed to, failing which we could be destroyed once and for all. But surrender is not in our nature, and we won't go down without a fight.
1. Basic Requirements. Any joiner of this thread must strictly adhere to any and all rules enforced by the forums, they are in place to keep us all safe. If you are uncertain at all with anything, please peruse the following Link. 2. Activity. Whilst absences are understandable as no one can be on constantly, I do request a reasonable degree of activity if you wish to join this clan. Members wishing to create cats of importance to the thread, i.e. those joining as deputy or a plot role, I request you please aim to be on at least four days a week to roleplay. Otherwise, two days per week is acceptable but more is preferable. If you need to leave for a while, let me know and I'll understand! 3. Plagiarism. Simply put, do not plagiarise anything found on this thread. Be it in the form of this threads coding, its wording or any character found within its pages without the explicit permission of the original creator. 4. Joining. If you'd like to join, you have my gratitude! However, I do reserve the right to request a thing or two of you first. Namely, on initial joining do so with a minimum of 2 characters, one of each gender, and should you wish to join as an apprentice please first have two cats of other ranks to help with the ratio of warriors to apprentices. Lastly, so I am certain you have taken the time to read my rules, please include A Force of Nature somewhere in your form. 5. Literacy. Unfortunately this isn't negotiable as I sincerely wish SummitClan to become an advanced thread. Unless you are capable of a minimum of 6 lines per character per post of roleplay, meaning without coding that otherwise causes it to appear longer, SummitClan sadly is not the thread for you. Try where possible to exceed this limit, and try to be legible in everything you right, but grammar and spelling mistakes are understandable. 6. Characters and Roleplaying. Members will always be allowed some degree of artistic license in the creation of characters, however, I reserve the right to request changes where I feel limits are being pushed. In short, keep character names in the realm of the realistic, if a cat would never be able to understand the meaning of a word, please don't name them such. i.e. No Supernovaflower or Pokemondapple. Interesting as they might be as names, its just not welcome unfortunately. In terms of roleplay, administer common sense in what will and wont be allowed. No Mary-Sue's, spotlighting, or anything of that ilk preferable. Cats who are LGBT+ are more than welcome in our ranks. 7. Bloodlines. One of my personal additions to the rules, and one I ask that you incorporate in at least one of your characters. Something to help with clan development is that I ask where cats share traits with another member's cat, I ask that you request of the other member that they be related to some extent, i.e. mother/kitten, brother/sister etc. And the same is suggested of mates. Whilst I don't expect this of every cat, please do not join as members of your own family. 8. Drama. I don't know about you guys, but personally I don't roleplay to write about the mundane every day lives of cats, I do it to be creative and have fun in general. As a result, I request one thing of you {aside from all those rules} and that is you have fun. Create subplots, romance, anything that will break my heart is completely welcome and encouraged. As long as you don't conflict directly with the main plotline {by this I mean burn it to the ground, not small additions or changes} and you include other members of the clan. You are welcome to have at.

Living in SummitClan's mountains creates an especially hardy cat, certain features have been adapted in order to best survive the hardship brought on by our territory. These include generally being cats of larger builds, incorporating muscle and a thick coat in order to traverse the steep and expansive nature of our territory as well as put up with the common bitter weather found here. Whilst this gives us the disadvantage in terms of speed and our swimming ability, we prosper most when it comes to climbing and battling. SummitClan cats tend to sport thick coats, which vary in terms of colouration but more often than not are patterned rather than solid. Our paw pads furthermore tend to be larger than average to put up with the rocky terrain underfoot. Whilst personality traits are more difficult to narrow down to a single common feature given the diverse nature of the cats in our clan. More often than not SummitClan cats aren't especially fond of outsiders, given the large number of predators in our lands it makes us uneasy when newcomers come about as infrequent as an occurrence that might be. However, in terms of one another we tend to be fiercely loyal, and stick to tradition like a flea to an elder's back. The idea of deviance from anything amidst our code would be considered abhorrent to the majority of cats.
Bear Gorge. A narrow piece of territory inhabited by a rather long standing enemy of the clan, an especially large black bear that seems to take enjoyment in preying on the clan. The area is largely avoided unless absolutely necessary or during a time the animal is less active. Cattail Meadow. A small meadow to the east side of the mountains home to longgrass tufted in a manner that creates the appearance of an angry cats tail, hence the name. It is a prime spot for the hunting of rabbits and hares who find safety in the cover provided in the area, but is a place known to be frequented by birds of prey brave enough to pick off smaller apprentices and warriors. Crumbilng Foothills. The eastern foothills of our mountain is known for being prone to landslides, a number of cats have lost their lives to the unstable nature of the ground in this area, but due to its population of rabbits and hares, continues to be a popular hunting place for the sure footed and brave. Just beyond this area is the StarGrove, the Clan's connection with their ancestors. Dry Riverbed. Whilst its waters may long have run dry, this is still a popular place amongst apprentices due to the opportunity for climbing provided by the dry nature of its walls. It is furthermore a good place to find rats and mice, as well as small birds taking shade in the nooks and crannies of the walls. Lone Pine Trail. Much as the name suggests, this is a rather lengthy trail leading down the mountainside, marked at its start by a single pine tree. In the hollow of which a rather ill natured owl makes its nest. Nightwatch Peak. A place of great tradition within our ranks, here the Nightly guard positions themselves on the tallest peak closest to camp in order to watch the territory bellow. Whilst threats don't often come so close to camp, it has long been a part of our day to day existence, and has saved lives on more than one occasion. Oak Ridge. A ridge running closest to camp populated by a number of especially ancient oak trees, making it a prime spot to practice hunting skills among young apprentices, as well as hunt for tree dwelling mammals. StarGrove. A rather beautiful meadow at the foot of the eastern side of our mountain, it is populated by a variety of small birds and mammals, but hunting here is forbidden due to the key feature found within it. StarGrove is home to a population of rather beautiful flowers, the petals of which are star shaped in nature, upon inhaling the scent of which allows the cat to enter a sleep and dream of their fallen Clanmates. Thundering Falls. One of the more notable rivers of our territory culminates in a great waterfall to the north side of our mountain, named for the loud noise generated as the falling water splashes into the large pool at its base. Wild River. Named both for the fast nature of its current and the local population, this river finds itself at the heart of a local wild horse herd. Whilst not often a source of conflict, the clan tends to give them a wide birth where possible.
SummitClan camp, much like the cats themselves isn't an especially pretty sight but has withstood a surprisingly long time. Situated on the western side of the mountains, it is found in a cove like indent of the ridge's peak. Providing adequate shelter from the weather, and a spacious area for us to call camp. Leader's Den. Settled against the rock outcropping that creates the border of camp, it is crafted from a rather large boulder propped against the right arm of camp, creating a gap between the features in which the leader makes their den. Medicine Cat's Den. The Clan's healer, apprentice, and patients make their dens no matter how temporarily within the small Hedgerow found towards the left hand side of camp. Long picked free of prickles and brambles, it provides a warm den for this key part of the clan. Warrior's Den. Crafted from the remnants of a wolf's den, the den is spacious and found underneath the camp, providing room for expansion and a sheltered place to go when the weather becomes particularly cruel, as this is where the majority of camp seek shelter when the weather takes a turn for the worst. Apprentice's Den. Young cats in training to become warriors of SummitClan make their dens within a cozy den to centre of camp's walls, tucked into the crevices of the outcropping itself, providing enough room for a handful of cats to make their dens. Nursery . At the heart of camp both figuratively and literally is the Clan's nursery, tucked within the roots of a rather large sycamore tree, the roots of which have been covered carefully in moss and ivy to prevent drafts. Elder's Den. Those who choose to retire from service to the clan spend their remaining nights within a rather spacious hollow log found to the right hand side of camp, close to the nursery and sources of moss.

Spiderstar. More a shadow than she is her namesake for the most part, this young cat is set on long slender legs creating a rather elegant appearance for this young shecat. Her body is lithe and lean, built with muscles less apparent than would be common amidst the usual ranks of SummitClan, but is not to be underestimated in terms of strength as her strategic mindset and intelligence make for a rather formidable opponent, even if she can be outranked in terms of muscularity. Cloaked in a pelt of midnight black, it is thick yet silky and feathered in nature, leaving it to whisp at her ears, tail and paws. In the shadows you would be forgiven for assuming her coat was midnight black, but in truth she carries rosettes of a dark grey colour, only truly visible when she stands in direct sunlight, and even then one has to squint. Her eyes are a rather dark bluish grey colour, standing out against her otherwise rather dark features. A master when it comes to hiding her thoughts and feelings, even those closest to her find it difficult to pinpoint just what her opinions are until she outright voices them. A calm and level headed young cat, with the willing to speak her own mind but the understanding that its necessary to allow others the same right. Spiderstar is a closed off cat by nature, not quick to befriend and rather quick to dislike, she is talented at making everyone believe they are the best of friends with her, but in truth keeps her true circle of friends very close to her and very small. She is a good cat with a good heart, who would do anything for someone she believed loyal to her, but is hardly a social creature who prefers the shadows to the spotlight where possible. Spiderstar will do anything to keep her clan safe, and is never one to allow others to go into danger without being beside them herself. A point of contention now she is to become a mother. Spiderstar has never been quiet about her disbelief in StarClan, which leaves her clan in disarray around her as to whether they should trust her. 🇳ᴇcʀᴏᴅ🇦🇳cᴇʀ

Howlinghawk. Embodying most of the iconic traits of his clan and as a result an especially intimidating creature to look at, Howlinghawk is a bizarre mixture of traits to most. A muscular and large tom, built to be a capable fighter especially given that he towers over the majority of his clanmates, most would think him a clumsy imbecile who prefers brawns over brains. But the truth is something rather contrasting, this tom is a quiet and intelligent young cat, sharp witted and brave. He might not be quick on his paws but his speed of wit make him formidable in more ways than most would likely initially assume. Named for his rather loud vocal habits during the first few days after birth, apparently he only ever kept his mouth shut long enough to feed or sleep but otherwise would be incessantly mewing, he has evolved into a quiet and calm young warrior. With the patience of his suffix's namesake, Howlinghawk is a mysterious tom who prefers to keep himself to himself during most occasions. A rather thick coat cloaks this muscled tom, making him appear even larger than he already is, it protects well against cold weather but often matts, meaning he has to often take long periods of time to groom. It is marked in tabby markings of dark brown and splashes of white, painted over a predominantly pale brown coat of fur. His eyes are a rather stunning shade of rich green colour. Despite his stand offish nature, Howlinghawk does have a kind side and a loyal nature, simply the majority of cats can't get close enough to him in order to see these friendlier traits. 🇳ᴇcʀᴏᴅ🇦🇳cᴇʀ
Windwhistle.
Small by the standards of even hares let alone the cats she considers her clanmates, this is a lithe and kitlike young shecat, built for speed and swimming more than she is strength which means she rather sticks out like a sore thumb amidst her clanmates. However, it means she carries talents where others lack, meaning she is often called upon for the tasks others find near impossible. A keen tracker with good eyesight, she is talented when it comes to scouting paths and tunnels in search of threats given her affinity to remaining hidden. It is fortunate that this is an especially shy young warrior, as she is talented at keeping to the shadows and only becomming noticeable when she chooses to be, which if she had her way would frankly be never. A small and slender cat, her coat is a rather pale silvery grey, marked with stripes and dapples of black and darker grey across all of her slender frame, and splashed white at each of her four paws and muzzle. She unfortunately lost the eyesight in her left eye after an infection during her youth, making her all the more shy for the loss. But her remaining eye is a rather dark chestnut brown colour, and the blind one has been rendered a rather ugly milky blue colour that never seems to stay still. Despite her shy nature, Windwhistle is notable amongst her few friends for being an especailly sweet and kind cat, loving to those she manages to become close to, and brave enough to do almost anything to protect them. 🇳ᴇcʀᴏᴅ🇦🇳cᴇʀ Apprentices. Much to the disagreement of many of our members, a cat with no belief in StarClan has risen to the ranks of Leader. Whilst Spiderstar has proven herself to be a competent leader for the most part, beneath her the clan is beginning to tear itself in two. Unsure as to whether to dethrone their new leader to be replaced with a more suitable candidate capable of recieving the nine lives as well as the suffix, or accept leadership beneath a faithless cats. Arguments are slowly causing a rift to drive our cats apart day by day. And now Spiderstar is revealed to be pregnant, the wish of more vocal members for her to be exiled grows louder every day. But when Spiderstar is accused of something even her strongest haters never believed her capable of, the Clan will be sent all the more into chaos in the aftermath of the most heinous crime imaginable. The StarGrove is found in ruins, its flowers shredded and derooted. And amidst the ruins is the medicine cat, telltale marks of battle covering their body. With black fur caught between their claws. Accusations are thrown at Spiderstar, as she is forced from her place and imprisoned for her crimes. Awaiting the birth of her kits at which point she will be exiled from the Clan and left to die alone in the depths of leafbare. Yet darker forces are at work in the shadows of SummitClan, turning the clan into something cruel and evil. The death of the medicine cat and the ruin of the StarGrove all their doing with the intention of taking SummitClan for themselves. Failing which, the clan will be forced into ruin. These are ranks in need of filling before the Plot begins. Leader. Spiderstar - 🇳ᴇcʀᴏᴅ🇦🇳cᴇʀ . Fallen Medicine Cat. Open. Deputy. Open. Spiderstar - - - accompanied by, tags.
The sight of morning light finally beginning to filter through the clouds overhead to bask upon the camp brought gratitude to Spiderstar veins. The leader's night had been spent in a restless sleep, until the leader had simply admitted defeat and waited until dawn finally broke. It had seemed to take an eternity, but finally the hour was reasonable enough for the young leader to leave her nest without causing worry to a clanmate. Shifting in her nest so she sat straight, the leader stretched out as a hefty yawn parted her jaws. In the dark of the leader's den, the only feature visible of the lithe shecat were her soft silver grey eyes piercing through the darkness. Pausing a heartbeat to groom her thick coat before pulling free of the den and into the communal area of camp. Which was slowly being lit with a soft golden, but its warmth was undermined by a rather bitter cold wind. Despite having refused to allow herself freedom from the leader's den until morning, it seemed the hour was still considered rather unreasonable for waking life. Save for birds swooping overhead in search of their breakfast higher up the peaks and a couple other cats dotted about camp. It seemed Spiderstar was only one of few awake amidst the clan, and the young leader didn't blame them for dozing in a little longer than she had. Given half the choice, the rather tired Spiderstar would have returned to her den and slept once more. Once upon a time the leader had very much been a morning cat, but of recent the leader had found sleep a difficult commodity to come by. The usually calm shecat found herself sleep deprived due to worries quietly burning through her system even when her mind was insistent on sleep. The leader was carrying kits, and given that she wasn't wanted as leader in the first place didn't particularly give rise to a hopeful future for the kittens she would bare in the space of a moon and a half. Flicking her gaze across camp, remembering the need to send a patrol down to the Bear Gorge to reapply the scent markers. It was an especially dangerous task that would be in need of a reasonable number of cats to make up the numbers. Hopefully they wouldn't come across the namesake of the place, but needs must. And the time was ideal enough that with any luck if the patrol was careful enough there would be no need for conflict. If I can get past the medicine Cats, I might be able to accompany them. Spiderstar was lucky enough to be allowed to continue to hunt, but she imagined the line would be drawn if faced with the prospect of battle. It might make life easier for a number of cats anyway, she allowed herself a light chuckle at the latter thought. (Shall get starters for Wind and Howling up a little later please join!!!)

A Force of Nature
Ravenswoop. Ravenswoop is bitter, and rude, but he has every right to be. The medicine cat of SummitClan is not a sight to behold. He is a solid black tom with sleek fur that is rarely clean. Tufts of fur stick out in awkward places around his coat, and if it weren't for the smell of herbs around him, he would likely reek of filth. He has a patch of fur ripped from his mid-tail, and his left ear is completely shredded into strands. Several scars riddle his pelt, though all have healed over by now. He has very large silvery eyes, much like an owl's. Ravenswoop is blunt, to the point, impatient, and cruel - just to name a few flaws. Hardly a 'fun' cat to be around, in fact, Ravenswoop tends to bring things down whenever he's around. He has zero tolerance for tom foolery, and isn't afraid to share his opinions, no matter how rude they can be. On the scale of emotional minded, to logical minded, Ravenswoop tips it so hard to the logical side that it topples over. That's not to say that the tom isn't capable of emotions, in fact he is very intuitive and good at reading others, but he just blocks such emotions out. For only being around 40 moons, Ravenswoop acts as though he's and elder. Needless to say, not a lot of people are friends with Ravenswoop, and in fact the view of most clan members is to begrudgingly respect him, but avoid him. The medicine cat isn't all bad, however. He does his job very well. Ravenswoop has a very keen intelligence, he is well spoken, and has a wonderful memory. In dire situations he keeps calm, and works with ease. It seems Ravenswoop was born to be a medicine cat, even if he never wanted to be. Most remember a time where Ravenswoop was actually training as a warrior. He had a fiery determination to be the best warrior SummitClan could hope for. But even very early on in life, he knew that StarClan wanted him to be a medicine cat. Ravenswoop recieved visions from StarClan nearly every night, he heard the voices of his ancestors telling him the path he was treading was not the one destiny had planned for him. But, Ravenswoop refused to follow what they wished, his own ambitions lead him to be want to be the leader of the clan. As the moons passed, StarClan began to become more angry. The first step to their plan to force Ravenswoop to become a medicine cat was to kill his mentor, Goatfur. Ravenswoop continued, however. After graduating to warriorhood, StarClan showed their wrath again by sending wild dogs out to him during his first patrol as a warrior. Still, he persevered. But finally, whilst Ravenswoop was out with his sister, Finchwing, they fired a bolt of lightning at a tree that immediately toppled over and killed her. Fearing that StarClan would eventually take away everyone he loved, and tormented by his dreams, Ravenswoop gave up the life of a warrior and became SummitClan's medicine cat. Now, Ravenswoop's intense connection to StarClan aids the clan, and his skills with medicine are unparalleled, but it came at the cost of the tom's own freedom. 𝘊𝘢𝘤𝘵𝘶𝘴𝘣𝘭𝘰𝘰𝘮 ꕤ Rank: Medicine Cat Bloodlines: Open for everything! Howlinghawk could perhaps be his brother? He is heterosexual. Other. Role Requests, Questions, etc: Not the fallen medicine cat.
Bunnyshade. Here please write a short description of your cat's appearance and personality. 𝘊𝘢𝘤𝘵𝘶𝘴𝘣𝘭𝘰𝘰𝘮 ꕤ Rank: New warrior Bloodlines: Open for any! He is homosexual. Other. Role Requests, Questions, etc: None, though perhaps he can develop to follow Spiderstar into exile.
Heathersway. Heathersway lends a bad stereotype to females everywhere in that she acts exactly like how someone might assume they should act. This is all a fancy way of saying that Heathersway is air headed. There is no doubt that the shecat is beautiful, with a very light creamy orange base coat, and light sketchings of pale zigzagging through her fur. She has a long furred coat that can be extremely fluffy and messy, if she didn't keep it constantly clean. She has sharp features, but they seem smoother because of her fluffy fur. With a little pink nose, and big, doe like orange eyes. She has a dainty figure, one that makes you question if this shecat has ever even seen battle. She surely doesn't have any scars that would make one assume so. She has a lean body that would be great for running long distances, if she actually bothered to do so. But what this shecat lacks in muscle she makes up for in heart. Heathersway is a very kind, bubbly cat, one who excels in social situations. She finds it easy to make friends because of her funny and charming personality. But, in all honesty Heathersway is bad at reading social cues, and finds it hard to maintain tight friendships, despite her ability to quickly make them. She isn't smart, at all, and on the scale of emotional to logical minded she is far on the emotional side. She acts before she thinks, and she acts based on how she feels, making her extremely impulsive. Heathersway is not one to come to if you are having problems with something that requires a plan. But if you're in need of support, or someone to talk to and listen and care for you, Heathersway is always there. Fiercely loyal, even if her memory is too short to remember who she's loyal to, and very dependable, when she can remember what you're depending on her to do. 𝘊𝘢𝘤𝘵𝘶𝘴𝘣𝘭𝘰𝘰𝘮 ꕤ Rank: Warrior Bloodlines: Open for any! She is bisexual. Other. Role Requests, Questions, etc: 1 of the Murderers.
