Going through old books in storage really hits you with a wave of nostalgia, ya know? I used to have a fairly successful chb rp on the old forums and it seems as though I've lost all of my old info along with it since it was on an older laptop. I'm really hoping to re-make it here, even if it takes a while. I have an idea for a prophecy from years ago that I thought we could use? And I remember some of the rules, or at least have an idea of what I want included. Feel free to claim kids of the Big Three while you're here, as I really only want there to be a limited number of each so they don't over power the rp. I also don't really want to include any minor gods, just the main 12 (no Hera children, but we can have a few Hunters in the Artemis cabin). I was thinking having a header say "Unknown" for those who don't know who their parent is (for organizational purposes on my part), and if you never want the child/character to know then that's fine - if they eventually learn then I'll move them to their cabin. I'm going to keep the layout relatively simple/similar to my Shadowhunters rp, including the about section with a link to the wikia page since I haven't read the series in YEARS and I'll need to refresh myself on everything. As far as before/after Percy's time we can figure that out together, if you want a different centaur to run the camp we could do that too! Or a centaur + pair of demigods maybe? I'll be including a "Camp Officials" section as well with who does what (including the oracle, so they're open to claim as well). If you want to help, then lets roll up our sleeves and get started! If not, thanks for reading this! -oreos

- save for wip stuff - I'll mess more with coding later, my mouse keeps dying and I've gotta get more batteries tomorrow --------- Rules wip:
Be courteous to your fellow rp members; be kind to eachother and try not to argue, feel free to have your characters disagree but please be nice to each other. You don't have to have watched the movie to join - hopefully I've added enough information about the series that to get the general idea but if you have any questions feel free to ask! • Keep it PG and no excessive gore; feel free to take it to PMs if need be, but don't bring it here. •;No Mary/Gary Sues, super strong characters who never get hurt, spotlighting, godmodding, controlling another person's character without their permission, etc. In an rp like this there wil be fighting, that's a guarantee. Don't be afraid to get your character hurt and please, please, please try not to control someone else's character if you're training or battling. • Try to be realisitic with your characters; no natural purple hair unless you've dyed it or no crazy colored eyes unless your character just likes wearing insane colored contacts. With Satyrs and Centaurs, lets keep it normal - but if you choose to make a nymph you can get a little more creative. Feel free to have diverse characters, LGBTQ+ are allowed so feel free to make as many as you'd like! My only major concern with characters is to try and keep genders even; you don't necessarily have to make a boy for every girl and vise versa but keep the genders as close as possible, rp's that have 50 girls and 8 guys are never fun so lets try and keep it balanced the best we can. • You don't have to write a paragraph for each character everytime you rp, but if you really want to then go for it. Try to have at least 3-5 lines per character/per post, it's not a lot. I know everyone has their off days but please try and avoid one liners. Proper grammar and spelling is required in rp, but of course it doesn't matter as much outside of the rp. • Try and be on at least once or twice a week, if you disappear for a while without notice you'll most likely be deleted (but you can be re-added). I work two jobs and I'm taking summer classes so I know you can't be on all the time and I get it, trust me, but try and pop in every few days even if it's just to chat. If you know you're not going to be on for a while just post it and I'll make sure you aren't deleted, but please let us know ahead of time. • If you want to start something involving the plot be sure to ask someone first! Whether it's me or another admin please be sure to check with one of us before you do anything. Really if you have any questions at all don't hesitate to ask, but you must have our approval before the plot can move forward.--------- List of headers to make: (M) = main page (C) = Character Page (J) = Joining Page Main Banner on all 3 pages + links Table of Contents(M) -- Rules(M, J) -- Camp Rules??(M) -- Need To Know/About(M) Plots/Prophecies(M) -- Joining(M, J) -- Members(M) -- Relationships(M) Gods/Goddesses(M) -- Cabins(M) -- Camp Officials?? Oracle + Camp Director(C) 1 header per cabin (ex. Zeus kids, Poseidon, etc)(C) -- Unknown(C) Satyrs(C) -- Nymphs(C) -- Hunters of Artemis(C) --------- Gods/Goddesses: Zeus -- Poseidon -- Hades -- 3-5 kids a piece max Hera (no kids) -- Artemis (no kids, yes hunters - 5-10 max??) Apollo -- Athena -- Aphrodite -- Ares Demeter -- Hermes -- Dionysus --------- Joining: • When you join please keep in mind to keep genders as even as possible, for every girl make a boy and vice versa. You don't necessarily have to do this every time, but if we're short on one gender and you haven't made one we may ask you to do so. Let's just not have 15 of one gender and 5 of the other, because it does happen and those rps are never as fun. • You may not use characters from the books Yes we're in the same universe, no we aren't in the same time. If we keep Chiron as the Camp Director then obviously this rule doesn't apply to him or the gods, but as far as Percy or Annabeth or anyone goes that's a big ol' nope. • Gods and Goddesses can be rped! We aren't doing any sort of minor god, just the twelve major gods. Once they are gone they're gone for good, so if you want one you better claim one fast! This is a biggy with no godmodding/spotlighting/you get the idea - just don't do it. In general just don't hog the spotlight okay? No perfect characters, no one invincible, no hogging the spotlight - just no. If I see it I will dm you as a warning and if it continues you will be removed from the rp, and I really hate being the bad guy. • powers Characters may have powers they inherited from their godly parent, but don't go overboard. Make your specialty only like one or two, and again don't be that person and godmod the crap out of everything. Feel free to make an arrogant character who thinks they're the strongest, but let them get knowcked around a little bit too. • Big three children and Hunters of Artemis will have a limit. Listed below will be how many are available of each, along with which gods are still available to claim. More children of the big three or hunters may be added later on, but for now what's there is what you've got. Please only make one child of the big three and one god per person. You can have more than one Hunter, but no more than two just to leave some for other people (this includes characters you want to become a hunter later on).
Character's Name Age • Godly Parent, Hunter, Satyr, or Nymph • Gender • Weapon Type (can get creative! Demigods only) description -- Detailed personality and background. Lgbtq+ are welcome, along with their pronouns, just include it somewhere so we know! Feel free to include any family history, hobbies, other family members, etc. that you want - it can be as detailed or as simple as you want as long as we can picture your character. Crushes? Relationships with anyone? (family or otherwise) put them here at the bottom so it's easier for me to find and add. x • x { Screen Name } God/Goddess Name Appears to be what Age? • Gender
Physical description -- Brief personality -- any other random tidbits you want to add x • x { Screen Name } Zeus 1/3 • Poseidon 2/3 • Hades 1/3Hunters of Artemis 1/10Please let me know on the main page once your characters are finished!
If you would like, link character ref photos on the two x's in your forms, you may include up to 5 (just add more x's). Reference photos can be of the character itself, their perferred weapon if you want, or even their pet cat if they've got a cat. You don't have to put any if you don't want to, but the option is there if you want to include any <3 --------- Cabins:
#1 Zeus Cabin The Zeus Cabin appears as sort of a marble mausoleum with heavy columns out front, its bronze double doors polished in a way to provide a holographic effect of lightning bolts passing across. Inside the dome-shaped ceilnig is decorated with moving mosaics of a cloudy sky and thunder bolts. A statue of Zeus wearing a traditional Greek chiton stands in the center of the room, the walls adorned with alcoves and golden eagle statues resting inside them. The few beds and bits of furniture are scattered about the room, most of them pushed along the walls.#2 Hera Cabin Hera's cabin is a marble, formal-looking building with slim columns decorated with garlands of pomegranates and flowers. It is similar to Zeus's, only smaller and more graceful with peacocks carved along the walls and doors. Inside stands a large statue of Hera with a fire pit at its feet, similar to a temple. There is no furniture due to Hera having no children.#3 Poseidon Cabin Poseidon's cabin is a long, low building with windows facing the sea. It's made from rough sea stone, pieces of coral and seashell embedded inyo the outer walls, and a trident with a big bronze number three over the door. It's said that there is always a sea breeze blowing throughout the cabin, and the whole building carries the scent of seawater. The interior has walls made of abalone. There are six neat bunk beds with silk sheets and a salt water fountain that was made out of gray sea rock, had a fish that spouts the water from its mouth, and had a coral decoration. The bottom was filled with golden drachmas for Iris message, although it is unknown if the coins will ever run out. Scattered about the cabin are a bunch of unknown underwater plants and corals, most of them sitting in the windowsills. #4 Demeter Cabin Demeter's cabin is covered in flowers, the roof constructed of growing grass and has tomato vines growing along the outer walls. The cabin itself is a light shade of brown, and inside there is a grassy floor and an oak tree in the center that holds up the ceiling. #5 Ares Cabin The cabin appears as an ordinary grey stone building with barbed wire lining the roof. A stuffed boar's head sits on the door, seeming to stare at whoever is walking by. #6 Athena Cabin Looks similar to a grey stone temple with an owl carving on the door and plain white curtains. Inside there is a workshop and a library housings thousands of books and scrolls alike, along with tables and chairs set up for its residents to study. The workshop is filled with materials to build things, there are even blueprints and old war maps hanging along the walls. Nearly all of the beds are pushed up along the walls, designed as if sleeping didn't matter as much as doing research. There is what looks to be a big metal gardening shed off to the side, but it's actually their amory holding many of the camp's magical weapons.#7 Apollo Cabin Apollo's cabin is made of solid gold and it was designed to glow during the day, though it's hard to tell if the gold is reflecting light or generating it. he interior has bunk beds on either side with a cot in the middle of the cabin for the injured. Rough cedar beams that rib the ceiling and the white plaster walls are bare except for a few hooks for coats and weapons. It smells of clean linen and dried sage. The cabin is described as modest by Apollo, the only decorations are some flowerpots on the windowsill, filled with cheerful yellow blooms from the island of Delos.#8 Artemis Cabin Artemis' cabin is an all silver building with silver curtains, similar to the outfit of the Hunters. It also glows silver during night time as if reflecting the moon, but looks like a normal cabin in the day. It is decorated with paintings and carvings of wild animals, mostly the stag. Because Artemis does not have children of her own the cabin is honorary, however it is used by the Hunters, the adopted children of Artemis when they visit camp.#9 Hephaestus Cabin Hephaestus' cabin looks like a small factory, with brick walls and smokestacks like the forges and lots of gears around the entrance. The interior has folded steel bunks against the walls that were once described to be like "high-tech Murphy beds". Each bed has a digital control panel, blinking LED lights, glowing gems, and interlocking gears. It has shiny metal walls and metal slated doors. It is noted for being unclean and messy, filled with junk most of the time. A fire pole comes down from the second floor. A circular staircase leads down into some kind of basement. The walls are lined with every kind of power tool imaginable, and a huge assortment of weaponry. A workbench overflows with scrap metal, screws, bolts, washers, nails, rivets, and a million other machine parts. There is also a tunnel underneath, though it's mostly unused now.#10 Aphrodite Cabin Aphrodite's cabin is a wooden cabin with a painted blue roof, pillars, checkerboard deck with steps, and gray walls. It also has a pink door and potted carnations by the window. It also smells heavily of designer perfume. The interior has pink walls with white window trim; there is also lace curtains that are pastel blue and green which match the sheets and feather comforters on all the beds. The guys have one row of bunks separated by a curtain, but their section of the cabin is just as neat and orderly as the girls'. The cabin is always clean except for under the beds, which have chocolate wrappers, love notes, and other things under them. Every camper has a wooden camp chest at the foot of their bunk with their name painted on it. The only other bit of individualism was how the campers had decorated their private bunk spaces, each having different photos taked up along their part of the walls.#11 Hermes Cabin It is the oldest and the most worn-looking of the cabins due to its use as a home for all unclaimed demigods and Hermes' children. Its dull brown paint is chipped off (it really should be repainted) and there is a caduceus overhanging the door. Hermes' Cabin is the largest cabin and is normally packed at all times. Each camper has their own room, furnished with a small bed, a wooden chest, a desk, and a few shelves adorning the walls.#12 Dionysus Cabin The cabin's roof and walls are lined with grape vines, very minimal in design and decoration. There aren't many occupants, ts relatively small number of demigods possibly due to his strong dedication to his wife at Olympus.#13 Hades Cabin Hades' cabin is a windowless cabin made of solid obsidian, with heavy columns and torches that burn green like Greek fire twenty-four hours a day and has a skull over the door. The interior has beds that resemble coffins, with mahogany frames, brass railings, and bloodred velvet blankets and pillows.--------- Gods/Goddesses: --------- About Section:

I love the idea of the gods being around, and being annoying, but I'm a bit worried that if Olympus has been destroyed then Camp Half-Blood isn't really going to be safe either, because all of the protections stem from Zeus's power, and he'd protect Olympus before the camp. Maybe there's been a prophecy that makes it seem like the gods are gonna be in trouble if they don't get most of their kids to like them?
Also, intro's are normally like the demigod stumbling into camp, right? I could write one if you want me to.

What do we think of this for an intro? I'm not completely sold on it, and I can definitely change it if you guys don't like it.
The night is dark, clouds drifting over the moon and blocking what little light there might have been, and something is chasing you.
You are running, breathing ragged. The creature had been following you, hunting you for weeks on end, and now it has finally caught up. You can hear the sound of it behind you, can feel the way the ground shakes as it stomps towards you, and you know your only hope is to keep running, hope it tires out, or that you reach your destination before it reaches you.
You used to have a normal life, maybe a bit more accident prone than most, but that all changed when the creature now chasing you showed up. At first, it was just a pile of seeming coincidences, a new substitute at school that seemed to have it out for you specifically, a weird guy who’d taken up standing on your street corner and glaring at you when you passed by, or even a woman in the supermarket who kept passing you in the aisles, sniffing like she’s got a cold even though you have a sinking suspicion she’s just trying to pick up a scent. Then, they had transformed before your very eyes, and you had no choice but to run, or be eaten.
The clouds shift again, and the thinnest shaft of moonlight appears, just enough to illuminate the top of the hill you’re currently attempting to climb. There’s a pine tree, with what looks like a golden towel draped over its lowest branch, and a pile of black cords wrapped tightly around it’s base. Then you blink, and suddenly the towel isn’t a towel, and the black cords aren’t cords. It’s an animal skin, maybe from a goat, and a dragon, rising from its resting place under the tree to sniff the air curiously.
If you had the breath for it, you’d breathe a sigh of relief, because you’ve almost made it. Just a few yards more, over the hilltop, and you’ll be safe.

I know! I'm gonna try to see it when the tour goes to Atlanta in June. I've been following it since last year or the year before when it opened off Broadway in Chicago.

One of mine is
My mom’s Athena The goddess of craft You’d think through my trials, she’d throw me a raft Instead she ignored me and gave me the shaft I’ve got ambitions, hopes, and dreams And I will get them, even if that’s not how it seems.
But I've got three others.
