Kassie felt a little reassured with Electra's hand to help steady her, but she still felt extremely nervous. Her face was little more red from the adrenaline, fear and embarrassment. Her face contorted as her glance landed upon Electra's boss and soon was filled with annoyance. If she wasn't required to be here, she would have already been in the elevator and out the lobby doors. She turned back to Electra, but kept a side glance on her boss so she could at least say she was paying attention their plan.

Titus snapped out of his thoughts once the girl finally said something to him. "Perhaps." He answered placing the weight down to stretch his arms for a bit. "Rarely does anyone working out catch my eye so consider yourself lucky." He said in a somewhat haughty tone of voice. "So, where did you learn to punch and kick like that?"

Shade Comet ~ * ~ * ~ Rora had no way of knowing, but her erratic thoughts, going from one extreme to the next, and thinking about him - even if it was only to remind herself he could read minds - made ignoring her thoughts twice as hard as anyone else. If the mayor hadn't spoken up, he probably would have gotten more out of he than she wanted seen.
As it was, the mayor distracted him - or, more specifically, the mayor's attempt to use his powers on them distracted him. Shade and Echo could be as susceptible to persuasion as anyone else... if they weren't aware it was being used on them. Shade was rarely unaware, and when Echo was with him, he kept his best friend up-to-date on it as well. So the two of them exchanged a fleeting glance, and within the span of a second, had a silent conversation to decide if they were going to confront the mayor on his magic use, or just go along with it and only divulge some of what the mayor was asking after.
Echo chuckled. "Oh, he minds alright. He's just too polite to tell you so. Shade is a very private person, which is ironic, considering few get to keep their own privacy around him." He nudged Shade with his elbow. "Isn't that right, buddy?"
Shade just arched one brow. "I'm not private," he corrected. "I just don't divulge information easily. There's a difference."
Echo rolled his eyes and nodded super slowly. "Riiiiight. Your philosophy: 'If you want the right answer, you have to ask the right question.'" Echo turned back to the mayor. "He's fond of word games, kind of like a faerie or a genie. You have to be specific if you want a specific answer."

Once their boss explained the process to Kassie, Electra touched her hand to her friend’s elbow. “You ready to go up then?” Up as in, to the roof, where they could best manipulate the weather.

The mayor pondered Echo’s works before replying. “Alright then. Where did each of you grow up? And to specify, I mean neighborhood, city, state, family name, etcetera. Leave no detail out.”

- - - - - Leon Vulpecula: 𝐸𝓁𝑜𝓆𝓊𝑒𝓃𝓉𝒟𝓇𝑒𝒶𝓂𝑒𝓇, Sparky
Leon felt her eyes widen, almost to a comical manners at Ramsey’s news and Ramsey’s ideas. It was, well, it was a perfect plan, almost.
A seizing guilt took ahold of her, similar to how Zach felt it, but she didn’t know that, she just knew her. She had powers that would be perfect for the mission, she could forge and falsify her way through stuff, but she was terrified all the same. Brainwashed? There were no guarantees she would return.
She crossed her arms, “How do you plan to get them back, the person you send out?” She questioned, turning her stare to the ground and controlling it. This was no time for some guilt to overload her, she didn’t owe anyone anything.
She had no idea why she was even asking, she wasn’t about to out herself in front of them, but her emotions weren’t helping her. She almost felt a dawning headache from even holding herself back so much, and sighed, forcing herself to calm down. She was terrified to be honest, people were being kidnapped, and she couldn’t really help because of her actions. (I honestly feel like she could know a lot more about this then she’s letting on...)

Kassie closed her eyes, slowly tilting her head backwards as she contemplated why she ever agreed to do the controller jobs when needed. She hated being in this building and even worse, being on top of the building! She glared at Electra for a moment before deciding she just needed to get it over with. It was the same routine as last time, just had to re-focus the storm Electra created into a small cold-front. "Let's get this over with," Kassie muttered gesturing for Electra to go first.

Rylan, again, was impressed with Raven's arsenal of books that she's read. He nodded at her statement about the adaptions from novels to graphics whether its film or graphic novels. Sometimes things were changed for necessity while others was for no apparent reason. "So, what haven't you read? That's the question I should be asking you," Rylan chuckled.

"Impressive." Titus said with a small nod of his head. He moves towards the bench press and grabbing a couple of heavy weights. "Ever thought about joining the army? We could use more fighters." Granted, the military had plenty of members already. Still, they were always told to recruit and get more people to join.

There's probably plenty I haven't read, but finding books that I want to read and haven't already can be a challenge, considering the rate at which I read them. Is there a book you haven't read that's on your to-be-read list?"

Titus frowned not liking her tone of voice. "Then what do you do exactly?" He asked as he placed the weights on both sides of the iron bar. He already knew she was normal. Most specials were pretty obvious. The military still needed grunts for he and his buddies to boss around.

Rylan started to think about the all the books he had read. Yet, it was a little frustrating as he would occasionally repeat one on accident. "Okay let me do this, I'm going to list off a bunch of them and let's see if you've read them," Rylan said with a shrug of his shoulders. The idea wasn't the most ideal, but it was the only one he could think of at the moment. "Hunger Games, Shadowhunters series, Divergent series, Percy Jackson, Legend series, Warcross, The Testing series, Eragon series, Harry Potter, Maze Runner series, Nightshade series, A Twisted Tale series, and Kingdom Keepers series."

Electra grinned, “That’s the spirit, Kass,” And led the way to the elevator that would take them to the top of the building. The ride was fast, as it was just one floor higher. As soon as the doors blew open, however, the wind that was a result of simply being so high up immediately coursed around the girls as it whipped through their hair and sent goosebumps down Electra’s skin. It was much cooler up this high, but still not where it needed to be. “You ready?” Electra turned and yelled over the roaring winds, before shooting her hands up towards the sky, causing dark clouds to race in, with lightning striking within, making them spark and glow as they advanced towards the building.

He didn’t appreciate it when people questioned him. “It’s called making conversation, son. I wouldn’t call asking where one grew up to be an unusual question when getting to know someone. Now why don’t you let your friend speak for himself. Seeing as he isn’t in his animal form, I don’t believe he needs a translator.” He injected the full force of his persuasion into the command for Shade to allow Echo to speak, leaving him no option but to obey. As Rora watched the exchange, she couldn’t help but look back at Shade once more. People rarely stood up to her father. With his gift of persuasion, it was never long before he had those around him falling in line. Unfortunately, that was a lesson Shade had yet to learn, as the only way to protect oneself against her father’s persuasion was to simply avoid the mayor all together. But she still admired him for trying.

As soon as the wind almost knocked her backwards, Kassie didn't want to take a step outside of the elevator. Except she didn't really have a choice because of how they were already up there and the government had specified they wanted her to do the job. Although the extra money was worth a few minutes of fear, she was still angry at Electra for talking her into signing a contract with the government to be on call when they needed her. "I hate you right now!" Kassie mouthed with a glare in Electra's direction, but she finally pushed her way out of the elevator and stood a few feet away from her. Taking in the cold air around them, Kassie swirled her arms and hands around her expanding the coldness until it was big enough to move to the right temperature. She took in a huge breath and pushed the white colored wind into the storm clouds that Electra created.

"The Testing series and Kingdom Keepers," she said with a shake of her head. "I've never heard of thise two."

But she still admired him for trying. Shade flinched under the force of the mayor's persuasion powers. Even knowing exactly what the man was doing, he found it very difficult to deny the compulsion. Suddenly, Echo came to his feet, with enough force to send his chair crashing to the floor. He slammed his hands on the table and pinned the mayor with a furious stare that was all predator. "Get your power claws out of my friend. Now." "Echo..." Shade cautioned. "No," Echo snapped. He never took his eyes off the mayor. "Shade doesn't own me. If he keeps me from speaking, it's because he knows something I don't, and I trust his judgement over anything. So leave him alone, or I will prove to you just now protective I can really be." Echo didn't care if his outburst got him fired before he could even begin his new job. Shade was his best friend, closer than a brother to him. He was not about to sit back and watch the mayor hurt him just because Shade asked a simple question.
