(yes go for it!! I’m all for romances! Sable will likely be awkward at first, as she doesn’t do a lot of socializing, but then meeting in a book shop is honestly so her scene.)
Electra wrinkles her nose and gave her friend a playful swat on the arm. “No. Nothing of the sort.” It wasn’t as if she hadn’t thought about stuff like that. Hundreds of times. But she firmly believed it would never happen. Letting out a big sigh, Electra turned the tables back on Kassie. “What about you? Any big updates in your love life?”

Aye, aye! ;D
Shade Comet ~ * ~ * ~ Shade chuckled. He didn't respond to her words, for it wasn't a question. He straightened, a half smile curling his lips. He didn't look at her, his eyes on his friend now as they begun their fight, when he spoke. "Just a head's up: putting up barriers only makes me more tempted to peek. Just pretend I can't hear your thoughts and, odds are, I won't."
Echo Strike ~ * ~ * ~ When the mayor declared the start of the duel, Echo gave his mane a shake before getting to his feet and spinning around simultaneously. As soon as he was facing the fire wielder, the other man wasted no time throwing a fireball at him. Echo ducked with a snarl; the ball hadn't touched him, but he'd felt the heat as it passed over his head. With another low growl, he started circling the fire wielder. Neither looked away from the other.
When the next attack came, it was again from the fire wielder. His aim was better that time, but Echo was also ready. He hoped to the side, moving surprisingly nimbly for such a big cat. He ducked, dodged, and jumped over several more fireballs as he circled the fire wielder; most of them missed, but with a couple he was not so lucky. Each hit pulled a snarl out of him, but he did not stop his circling. The man held his ground, spinning in a slow circle to always have Echo in his sights. By the time he realized Echo was slowly but surely shrinking the circle, it was too late for him to avoid Echo's sudden, explosive pounce. In a last-ditch effort to protect himself, he threw up a tall wall of flames.
Echo's jump took him neatly over most of it, but since the fire shot up while he was in midair, he didn't clear all of it. He didn't realize that fact until later, however. In that moment, he was only worried about the man suddenly pinned beneath his paws. He roared into his face, the very tips of his claws imbedded in his chest. With his tail lashing from side to side, Echo slowly lifted his gaze from the frightened man's to the mayor.

Rora didn’t dignify that with a response. At least, not an audible one. But she did mentally tell him where he could stick his stupid mind reading powers, before focusing on the match before her, rather than the man beside her.
By the time Echo had pinned down the fire thrower, Rora’s Father was standing on his feet cheering for the shifter. Part of him wanted the lion to finish off his opponent, but he knew that wouldn’t be legally allowed. With a long pause, he finally said,“That’s enough, let him up. It’s clear we have a winner. Congratulations, Echo Strike. You are the victor!”
As she stood to join the ovation Echo was receiving, Rora couldn’t help but wish the shifter would revert back to his human form. Because she wouldn’t mind one bit getting a glimpse of what she recalled from two nights before. Plus, this time she was sober, so she could appreciate it more fully.

Oh! That's great! I wanted to put that on the profile, but I figured I'd mention it later down the line. I have some cheesy writing stuff I may do for Rylan XD)
Kassie laughed as she took the well-deserved swat from Electra. She knew teasing Electra would receive some form of retaliation, but she couldn't help but mess with her like that. Kassie gave an eye-roll in Electra's direction as she asked about her love life. "You know as well as I do," she said. "No one wants to deal with someone's who heart is ice." She wasn't wrong, technically. Kassie was never interested in relationships, stating they were a waste of time and almost always ended in heart. The phrase was used so commonly from her that she was called the "Queen of Ice."

Finally, Rylan had settled into a routine after a week months at the bookstore, mostly stocking shelves with new books or even donated books that others didn't want anymore. Being a normal, Rylan wasn't really seen as important enough to help customers other than the basic necessities even though he had an extensive knowledge of fiction books. He wanted to become a fiction writer, which meant diving head first into almost everything fiction even some of the novels he didn't particularly enjoy. His favorite had to be about a world where virtual reality was everything and a big gaming tournament could be in jeopardy without the help of a bounty hunter. Warcross Rylan thought as he stocked a shelf of autobiography books from a few influential people in the last ten years. Thankful, the owner of the store give him a little liberty and let him listen to music while he did his work, only if it was on low volume in case he was needed for something. Raven Dance ~ * ~ * ~ Raven loved books. She could spend all day just browsing the shelves of a book store or library. If she had the money, she would probably own enough books to make her own library at home. As it was, she was lucky to have a single bookshelf that she was slowly filling. She had to read books from the library more often than not, but she bought the best ones whenever she had a bit of extra money.
She was looking up and down the shelves, eyes taking in titles and authors, as she turned a corner and almost stepped on a young man stocking the shelves. She pulled back quickly with a gasp. "Oh my gosh, I am so sorry. I didn't see you there. I didn't step on you did I?" She didn't think so, though her leg had brushed something briefly, which is what had alerted her to his presence in the first place.

Dove Dance ~ * ~ * ~ After her sister left, Dove finished her episode of Lucifer, then got up and stretched. She was bored, kind of restless, but indecisive about what she wanted to do about it. A jog? A trip to the gym? The latter sounded appealing, mostly because she knew there were punching bags at the gym. She could do with a good punching session.
With a destination in mind, Dove quickly gathered her gym gear and set out. It was a twenty minute walk, which served as a good warm-up, though she still stretched after she'd changed and gone out onto the gym floor. Once her muscles were warm and nimble, she struck out for the punching bags, her long ponytail swaying with every step.

(Yeah! When he’s free I’ll send her in) Electra gave a shrug at that. “The way I see it, you have two options. Find a guy who doesn’t give a shit about emotions and is just in it for the ‘extra curriculars’,” She teases, using Kassie’s phrase from earlier. “Or, you can be a pessimist about it and when you’re least expecting it, some guy will come and sweep you off your cold little feet.”

Echo Strike ~ * ~ * ~ Echo let the man up with a low snarl. As he stalked back toward the stage, he felt an uncomfortable pulling sensation along his belly. Ignoring it, he padded right up to the stage, then hopped lightly onto it. He walked past the mayor, then Roar, his steps slowly marginally as he looked up at her with a familiar spark in his eye. Then he slid past Shade, his large teeth flashing as he opened his mouth and took hold of Shade's shirt. He gave a tug, then continued on with a wave of his tail.
Shade tilted his head in the direction his friend went. "He's just going to shift," he explained to the mayor and those crowded around. "And he would like it if you sent a healer his way. Seems the fire wielder got in a lucky shot at the end there."Though many of her fathers colleagues backed away at the close proximity of the deadly lion, Rora stood firm and graced him with just the hint of a smug smile as he passed. Why should she be afraid of such a man whom she had had tied to a bed only two nights before? No, she didn’t fear him. But she couldn’t help but think about the possibilities that might come with him as her families body guard. I’m her mind, they were endless. Hearing that the shifter needed a heater, the mayor nodded and quickly sent away for one. “He will be here shortly. In the mean time, let your friend know that his quarters will be prepared by tomorrow morning, and he will now be receiving a salads of ten thousand per month.”

Rylan hadn't heard Raven come around the corner as he was bobbing his head to the music coming from his earbuds. Just as he was about to set a one of his favorite fiction books,Hunger Games, onto the shelf, his arm just barely clipped Raven's leg as he lifted it from the box. He also threw out a gasp and dropped the book onto the floor. He began to apologize quite quickly, as he believed to be his fault for being in the way. "No, no! That was my fault," Rylan said with an embarrassing smile. He leaned down and picked up the book and dusted it off on his sleeve a little, his attention still focused on Raven.
"Again, I'm really sorry is there anything I can help you with?" He asked with a big smile.

"Uhh... That's a big no on the first option," Kassie said with a shake of her head. Similar to what Electra just did to her, she gave a playful swat of her arm for even suggesting the 'extra curriculars.' She wasn't the type of girl anyways, considering she hadn't had a relationship since her third year at the Academy. Shockingly that relationship ended in the same way most do, unfaithfulness. Kassie busted out laughing at the thought of an unexpected guy sweeping her off her face.
"Yup, and vampires and werewolves are going to be friends too!" Kassie claimed. She knew that no guy wanted to be in a relationship unless they wanted their pleasures fulfilled.

Shade Comet ~ * ~ * ~ Ignoring the vivid thoughts suddenly going through Rora's mind, Shade faced the mayor. "He'll be pleased to hear that. But does your telling me this mean he doesn't have to come back? Or was there more you needed to tell him - just him?"
If Rora wants one last peek, she could totally sneak off and watch Echo shift. ;D The mayor shook his head. “He is free to go for the time being. But I insist on hosting him for dinner tonight. You may come as well if you wish,” the man added, noticing the various colors in the man’s hair. “Say, boy, what’s your power?” While her father and Echo’s translator were busy talking, Rora slipped off into the crowd, and followed the shifter until he stopped. Crossing her arms over her chest, she asked, “So did you know I was the mayors daughter when we slept together?” It wouldn’t be the first time someone had slept with her to get close to her father. And she did find it a little suspicious that he would show up to her father’s competition two days later, and win the ability to guard them. This guy didn’t seem like he cared about politics, but still, she was simply curious more than anything as to his motives.

Shade smiled cordially. "Thank you, sir. We'll be there. And I'm a mind reading telepath." He figured he'd say both "powers" since some didn't see them as being a single ability when, usually, if you could do one, it only took a bit of extra practice to do the other as well.
/ / /
Echo stalked like a pissed off cat to where Shade had stashed his clothes. He became aware of Rora following him only after he'd arrived. Her voice spoke up a moment later. He turned to blink lazy cat eyes at her, then a shudder went through his body and suddenly he was human again and standing to his full height. Naked as the day he was born and completely unabashed by it. "I did not," he said simply. "And it wouldn't have made a difference if I had. I could not care less about who your daddy is." He sounded irritable, which wasn't an emotion often seen on him, but he was tired, sore, and no longer in any mood to give a shit.

Titus was currently in the gym lifting weights. His strength made things easier but he liked to keep his muscles in shape. He noticed a woman walk in and start punching at the punching bags. Good form but doesn't have much strength behind her punches He thought to himself.

Rylan smiled and shook his head, hoping she understood that she wasn't all at fault. As he thought about it for a few moments, they could both take a little of the blame. He watched her tuck a strand of her hair behind her ear, only to realize himself that his earbuds were still in. Again, he gave a small and embarrassed apology, taking them out so he could better hear Raven. He gave a small chuckle to her question, understanding the same feeling she was. He was also shy and awkward, but he didn't receive too much interaction outside a few people. "Actually, I've read a good amount of these books, even some of the novels that guys aren't suppose to read because they are too girly," Rylan said with a laugh. "I'm also trying to be a fiction writer as well, so I mean if I'm not reading, then I'm probably going to be a pretty lousy writer."

Lol I actually just used my novel series as the example here XD)
Rylan nodded to her questions. "Yeah, I do have stuff written, but not sure if its good quality yet," Rylan said with a smile and a shrug. "Sort of similar to our world, but its more about teenage animal shapershifters, who attend an Academy to learn how to survive in a technological world without being found." He loved working on this novel especially when it was pushing his boundary of comfort levels with the main character. He looked down at Raven and wondered what type of genre she liked. "Do you write?" Rylan asked in return.

Dove Dance // 21 // Female // Normal // Barista // Personality-wise, Dove and her sister are polar opposites. Dove is a firecracker. She's bold, inhibited, and confident. She doesn't care what anyone thinks of her, and she's not afraid to tell you so - and whatever else is on her mind at any given moment. She is independent and capable, and that often makes her chose to do things on her own, even when help is offered and would be useful. She doesn't deny it just for the sake of saying no (well, sometimes she does), but rather because she's too stubborn to change her mind once it's made up. Despite her attitude, Dove does like hanging out with other people - most of the time. With the right group of people, she can be adventurous and fun-loving, cracking jokes and just enjoying the time; with others, she's bossy, sarcastic, and sometimes plain rude. She doesn't like being told what to do or how to do things, and those that try get her attitude in full swing. Dove is fearless and persistent when she sets her mind to something, but this is often taken as her being impulsive and hard-headed. She does have a tendency to not think things all the way through, but most of the time, her intentions are good. Dove can be extremely quarrelsome, occasionally vulgar, and a real witch to deal with, but underneath her hard exterior, she's a brave, loyal person who will go to extreme measures for those in her circle. // Physically, Dove is almost identical to her twin sister, Raven, with two exceptions. She is tall for a girl, with a willowy form not lacking in curves. They aren't as prominent as on other women, but Dove dresses in ways that accentuates every single one to her best advantage. She is leanly muscled and very fit, as she trains daily in kickboxing. She stands at 5 foot 9, and weighs roughly 140 pounds. Her skin is fair and unblemished, but not completely flawless, though most of her small scars and beauty marks are hidden beneath her clothes. Dove's hair is long, thick, and naturally wavy; however, most days she straightens it, though the tips tend to regain a bit of curl after a few hours. Her hair is a pale white-blonde, with a snowy quality thanks to its soft sleekness - Dove takes very good care of her hair. Her eyes are a pale crystalline blue, with hints of darker blue around her pupils. Dove's eyes are almost constantly flashing with her every emotion, but she can master this when she needs to and apply and damn good poker face. It doesn't often take much to crack it, though. // Dove and Raven had a pretty normal childhood, but it didn't last. When they were four, a home raid that resulted in the death of their father and the disappearance of their older brother tore their family apart. The girls and their mother escaped mostly unscathed, but they spent the next ten years living like fugitives, barely making ends meet. Then when the girls were sixteen, their mother died of some incurable sickness. The girls have been on their own ever since, doing what they can to live normal lives, while also secretly looking for their missing brother, whom they still believe is alive despite the years and evidence saying otherwise. // Raven is her twin. // ✧☽ ᴅʀᴇᴀᴍᴇʀ ᴀɴᴅ ᴅᴏᴇʀ ☾✧
Dove is done; Raven should be finished tonight or tomorrow. ^^

They did it in Breaking Dawn, they can do it again." Not many people knew--scratch that, only Kassie knew that Electra was a secretly big fan of the Twilight saga. Yes, the movies were practically ancient at this point, and painfully cheesy, but she couldn't help it. From the moment she had seen the first movie, she had been hooked, and had proceeded to watch them all in a single weekend. And once a year, she forced Kassie to sit with her and have a Twilight marathon, consisting of pillow forts, unheathy amounts of junk food, and no leaving the house until they had finished all five movies. It was one of her favorite traditions.

“A mind reader, eh?” The mayor asked, impressed. Leaning forward and dropping his voice down to a low whisper, he added, “I don’t suppose you would be interested in aiding my poker game, hmm?”
//
Rora let her gaze drag up and down Echo’s nude body, not bothering to hide her blatant perusal before finally meeting his gaze with a bored look. “The medic will be here shortly. I’ll send him your way. I believe your mind invader is currently speaking with my father, who is no doubt inviting you to dinner.” She turned to leave before lancing back at him, “Try not to be late this time.”

"Oh god," Kassie said following with gagging noises as she thought about the old film. Even after Electra had made Kassie watch the film like four times, she didn't understand her fascination with that series. She wanted to throw another snowball at her, but decided against it as she didn't want to have to clean up the water. Kassie gave a sigh before looking at her watch on her arm. "So explain to me again, what we have to do tonight?" Although Kassie had previously done the work of a controller, she couldn't remember the procedures that went behind it. Considering, she really didn't want to throw the city into an early winter and face the consequences.

He briefly wondered if she knew how to spar or had any self defense training. If she were a special, she would most likely fit into the military.
