Cleaning up the droppings from the damned rat was a lot more trouble than it should have been. For starters, as Bael cleaned them up, he managed to find another pile somewhere else in the trash-heap of a house. After about 3 hours of cleaning, he finally managed to clean everything up.
Flopping down on his worn down couch, he stared up at the ceiling, letting out a loud grunt in annoyance. He needed to find a more permanent solution to this rat problem if he wanted to avoid getting infected by some horrific disease. He dug around his pocket and pulled out a wad of dollar bills. Was it enough for more rat poison? Probably not, but he was willing to take a shot at something. Plus, he needed some fresh air after spending all day indoors.
Stepping out of the house, Bael ducked into the buildings of shadows, not wanting the sunlight to touch him. His best bet was to the west of Brook street, into Viper territory. He didn't like going into either territory, mostly because people try to rob him. Fighting back and accidently making a name for himself was the only way to keep what little money he had.
Plus, he didn't like how either side tried to get him into their gang. It irritated him that they assumed that it was his problem. He ran his fingers through his hair. No. His problem was that he forgot to take a shower and the mix of rainwater and hair gel made his hair disgusting.

Roshati had been leaning against the wall of an alleyway in Viper territory, drawing a picture of a squirrel she was watching. There were two other journals in her hand under the one she was drawing in and she closed the one on squirrels to open another to jot something down. She had run out of reading material and so she was substituting novels and books with taking notes on the world around her. After a moment, a sigh passed her lips and she frowned as she closed the journal. There wasn't much interesting going on that she could study and she wished there was some kind of job or just something that she could observe and study.
Amber eyes glanced up when she heard footsteps and eyed the familiar figure as they grew closer. Stepping away from the wall she was leaning against, Roshati moved to look at him and gave a small wave. "Yo, what'cha up to, Bael?" she asked. Part of her hoped he would be up to something interesting, something she could gather something interesting to write in her journal about. Maybe she might try to see if there were any books she could buy, or possibly steal if she was feeling like shoplifting a book. She studied him for a moment and then shuffled her right boot against the sidewalk. "Wait, I thought you usually didn't come through this area?"
Part of the woman didn't understand why she was asking so many questions. She usually just observed and kept interaction with others to a minimum. Perhaps it was boredom or perhaps she just felt like talking for once. She moved back to lean against the wall, her usual distance returning as she looked away from Bael. Uncertainty settled in as she had no clue if she should continue interaction or find an excuse to leave. Perhaps it would be an interesting experiment, she didn't know much about Bael, it would be a chance to maybe find out something new. She settled her eyes back on him and made subtle observations, her always hungry for new information mind acting out of habit.

(Lol it's fine, I took a nap for the past hour anyway)
Hearing someone say his name, Bael's guard instantly went up. He either expected an attack or someone to try and recruit him. When he saw the woman, he let out an annoyed exhale. He can't remember if he'd seen her before, but he knew that he didn't know what her name was.
When she started asking him questions, Bael pinched the bridge of his nose. “I'm guessing you're one of those gangsters? Look, I'm not interested in joining your clubhouse, I'm just getting supplies.” He wasn't quite into figuring out why she was trying to talk to him, but he kept walking anyway.
The most annoying part of trying to live in the area at the moment was that everyone seemed aware who he was. It's kind of hard to miss the albino man who's constantly getting into fights, whether physically or verbally. He specifically came to the street because it was the only place he could afford, and because he just wanted to lay low for as long as he physically could.

(omg naps sound amazing. also i noticed im way too in the habit of using discord lol)
Roshati blinked as she watched him walk away and pulled out her third notebook to jot something down. She trotted after him and fell into step behind him. "I'm not going to recruit you or anything, though I am a Viper. I'm Roshati," she told him. Part of her forgot while she knew things about people, either through word of mouth or from observing people, they often didn't know much about her. She slowed a bit and pulled out one of her other journals to jot something down before putting all of them into her bag at her side which was full of journals. "Sorry for the questions," she murmured softly.
Slowing down even more, Roshati peeked at her wallet and frowned before speeding up to go with him. "Do you own any books?" she asked, giving into her need for something, anything, to read. "Or plan to go near a bookstore?" She glanced at him, expression guarded as usual with just a hint of general curiosity slipping through. Slipping her hands into her pockets, she glanced around, looking for something to study if Bael asked her to go away. It wasn't a secret he had a knack for getting into fights and Roshati was anything but a fighter. She was a thinker, an observer. It made it easy for her to rob a place or kidnap someone since she studied things and people, writing everything down she observed.
Maybe, just maybe, that's why she was sticking to Bael, she had heard quite a bit about him, lots of rumors, but she wanted to know if it was all true for herself. It was like running into Mothman or the Jersey Devil, lots of rumors little to no interaction. Thinking for a moment on cryptids, she smiled and went to reach for a journal before pausing, smile fading, and just waiting to jot down her thoughts in her diary later. "What's your favorite cryptid?" she asked randomly, wondering what Bael's response would be.

Bael let out a low grumble when she started following him, but considering that she only seemed to be carrying journals and books, he decided that she wasn't much of a threat. If she tried anything, he knew he could take her out.
“Roshati, huh?” He mumbled, watching her write things down in a journal. He was rather puzzled what she was doing, but chose not to press it because he didn't care enough to know what she was doing in it. When she asked about books, he let out a very audible groan “no, I don't have books, and I don't plan on getting books. Books are dumb.” The last time he read a book was when he was around 10 or 12. Someone had gotten him to start reading a book, but he only made it halfway through before he got rid of it in frustration.
When she mentioned cryptids, Bael looked right back at her and stated “those aren't real.” He looked back ahead before continuing his thought “though, if they were real, I'd like to think everyone I know is a lizard person. Maybe they've been trying to lay eggs in my brains, or maybe I'm the lizard person here and everyone else here are just a lot of monkeys.”

Maybe they've been trying to lay eggs in my brains, or maybe I'm the lizard person here and everyone else here are just a lot of monkeys.” Roshati mocked a scandalized gasp and clutched at her chest as if clutching pearls. She dropped her hands and her face returned to its guarded expression as she studied him. "I love books, I've run out of new ones and so that's why I asked. I'm willing to read those trashy romance novels, that's how desperate I am. " She pulled out one of her journals, the one she started taking notes on Bael in, and began to sketch out a table to separate rumors from fact. "In case you are wondering, these journals are basically substitutes for books. Based on your reaction to the topic of books, I doubt you would want to read them which is perfect since you can't," she mumbled distractedly as she began to write. She stumbled a bit as she stopped paying much attention to where she was going other than to keep track of Bael and she underlined something in her journal heavily. "Cryptids don't have to be real to have a favorite," Roshati stated looking up briefly. "My favorite is Mothman, mostly because I feel like they would be fluffy and that's always nice." She raised an eyebrow at Bael's following words and wrote something else before closing the book. "That's more conspiracy theory than cryptid, but still close. Ish. I think that is an interesting thought, though. I thought it was spiders that would lay eggs in the brain though, not lizards. Unless, that's what they want you to think." She pulled out her diary and wrote down something short about what they just talked about before she forgot and put it away as she rushed to catch up with the taller man.

dietmountaindew sorry I disappeared yesterday, i was pretty wiped out) Sarah relaxed somewhat, a look of relief washing over her face. At least the young mother wasn't freaking out, that was nice. In fact, she was being rather kind about the whole thing. It was nice to see that not everybody in this neighborhood was quite as tense as she'd thought. The kid greeted her and Sarah leaned down to get a little closer to eye level, smiling brightly, "Why hello there! I'm Sarah, what's your name?" Man, this must be a rough place to raise a kid. It certainly wouldn't be her first choice if she ever had one. Not that it was really in the cards. This sort of lifestyle wasn't exactly conducive to motherhood.

{ amberice you’re good!} The blue eyes little girl beamed when Sarah acknowledged her. “My name’s RJ!” RJ held up three fingers. “I’m four!” RJ seemed really pleased with herself. Lissy sighed. “How many fingers honey?” prodded Lissy gently. Her tone was actually encouraging. The little girl looked away to look down at her own fingers. Her brow furrowed for a minute before she held up four fingers. “Four!” Lissy laughed a kissed the little girls forehead. The brown eyed woman could only be in her late teens or very early twenties. Was the little girl her daughter or sister? They were strikingly similar. The same heart shaped faces, long dark lashes, and golden blonde curls.
