Mudpaw glanced as Stormsong made a show of snuggling into his nest, yawning and likely falling back asleep in a few seconds. When Wolfbite spoke, she looked back at him with a sheepish smile. "I may try to weasel my way out of it sometimes." She knew she'd have to learn though. She really did want to grow strong, and warriors needed to know how to fight as well as hunt. "I just... I'm not great at it. It takes forever to learn moves." She tended to be good at something after a lot of practice though, but she supposed that was purpose of training. "I think it'll all come back to bear down on me later though."

He studied her, then away again, deep in thought. ‘When Duskstorm is busy, and you have nothing to do, come and see me. I can help you buckle down on your basics.’ He flicked an ear. ‘Just because I’m in here doesn’t mean I’m useless.’ He turned to look at her, eyes twinkling. ‘I can still teach and fight. I just can’t run, jump, or hunt anymore. So I’ll help you with your basics.’ He also wasn’t as quick on his feet, but he didn’t like to downplay himself. He liked to pretend he was still perfectly capable.

Mudpaw nodded slowly. "I'll remember that." She wouldn't ever pass up the opportunity to get some help. Plus, she had a feeling Wolfbite still wanted to feel helpful in some way. Someone his age should've at least two apprentices already. Once the moss was done being set, she sat back with a smile. "There." Looking around, she asked "So... should I go? Or do you have time right now for a small lesson or something maybe?"

‘I’m not doing anything, little one.’ He replied, looking at her. ‘Would you like me to help you now? Or do you think you’re needed elsewhere?’ He tilted his head, looking out over the camp to try and see if anybody needed her help.

"I think I'm good for now, unless Duskstorm wants to take that fishing trip I offered earlier right now." She doubted it though. So, there she stayed, saying "So, would you want to stay here though, or leave camp?" They likely wouldn't be doing anything too complicated, but it was reflex for many to just go to the training area not a ten minute's walk.

‘We’ll leave.’ He said, grunting as he got back to his paws. ‘Excercise is for the best when one struggles to move.’ He grumbled, leading the way out, saying goodbye to Stormsong- though he figured the Tom was asleep anyways. ‘Anything in particular you’d like to focus on?’

Iceheart ~ Camp ~ With Cherrypaw (Voidastral)Iceheart huffed through the two shrews in her mouth as she padded silently into Camp. She had decided to go on a quick hunt that morning, having woken up far earlier than normal. She had lost track of time as she threw herself into finding food for the Clan, ranging over quite a bit of the territory as she lost herself in the motions of hunting. She had only stopped when the sun got bright enough to start bothering her and now she was bringing back the last of what she had caught. She dropped the prey into the fresh-kill pile, before heading over to the Apprentice's den to see if her wayward Apprentice was up and about yet. "Cherrypaw?" She called quietly, sticking her head in but keeping her voice down in case any of the Apprentices were on a late-night patrol last night. Applepaw ~ Camp ~ With OpenApplepaw hummed to herself as she scurried about checking the nests in the Warrior's Den to see if any needed to be refreshed. It had been a slightly lazy day so far, but she didn't mind so much. It was nice to have time to just check to see if everything was in order. 'Maybe I'll go see if any of the Elder's need help after this, if Redstorm doesn't need me,' She thought, sifting through one of the older nests. Nodding to herself, she padded outside and sat down, trying to get a tangle out of her fur that had been pulling awkwardly for a while now.

Ravencall ~ Camp ~ With Flintstar (Smokey Feather)Ravencall yawned widely from where he lounged at the edge of Camp. Put quite plainly, the tom was bored. It was a quiet day with not much to do but hunt if one felt like it, and he didn't. Still, he wanted to do something. There was an itch in his head that usually started when he sat still for too long. Snorting to himself, he decided to shake out his short fur and get to his paws. 'No harm in asking,' He mused to himself as he padded over to the redwood hollow where Flintstar's den was. "Flintstar?" He mewed, standing outside respectfully, "May I speak with you a moment?" ((Think I might leave Adderfang to respond to someone else's starter with for now.))

LycaoniaFlintstar had just finished eating a mouse. Just as she was stretching, she heard Ravencall ask to see her. Scratching behind her ear, she said "Of course. Come in." She sat in her best, licking a paw and running it over her face a few times. "What is it you wish to talk about? Is there something wrong?" Tail curling over her paws after, her gray gaze studied him casually.

LycaoniaFlintstar hummed in acknowledgement. A patrol. She didn't see why not. "Yes, that would be good, actually. I do believe the markers need to be reset anyway." Her tailtip twitched, and then she got an idea. "Maybe I can go with you and the group you take? I haven't been out of camp in a while." Okay, since yesterday morning, but still. Getting up, she stretched again before moving to leave the den. As she did, she asked playfully while glancing over her shoulder "Unless you'd prefer I not go?" And then she was out in the open, looking around as the cats went about their business.

"I've never been one for attack, I suppose, but I don't think that helps." She was one for defensive moves, if anything in battle. When it came to the attacking part though... not so much. "I guess because almost everyone's bigger than me, I have trouble getting any successful moves in."

Ravencall ~ Camp ~ With Flintstar (Smokey Feather)Ravencall chuckled as he padded after the she-cat, inhaling the sweet meadow air as he emerged after her. "Not at all," He rumbled back, gazing with pride and love over the camp before them, "It would be a pleasure to have you join the group." he hummed to himself, turning a sharp eye over the cats already up and about. "I'll bring Foxpaw along. It'll be good for her. She's almost at the age to become a Warrior, so any extra practice I can impress onto her before then can only help." He huffed out a breath as he thought about who else to bring.

LycaoniaFlintstar smiled, saying "She's shaping up to be a fine protector of her clan. Let us hope she is as sly as a real fox every Leaf Bare." Even the best warriors could be taken during the hunt, but Flintstar refused to practice the Abandonment Ritual. She'd feel horrible picking one individual to be sent to die. She couldn't. Shaking the thought aside, she continued "Either way, we will be having a real talk about her ceremony soon. There's no reason to deny her her right for much longer." Twelve moons usually was the age an apprentice became a warrior anyway. "Bringing her along would give me the chance to take a look at her, if you plan on doing anything that is."

"I guess because almost everyone's bigger than me, I have trouble getting any successful moves in." ‘Don’t think about them being bigger than you.’ He said. He’d had this issue with Duskstorm before the toms long legs had grown in. ‘Think about them being slower.’ Once they arrived at the clearing, he turned to look at her. ‘You look at me, and you see a wall. If I were you, looking at me- I’d see a big ol’ opening between my front legs. You have direct access to my stomach, throat, and legs. You can get in quick, then get out. Let’s try.’ He lifted his injured leg, then crouched down slightly as if he were going to attack.

Mudpaw hesitated, eyeing Wolfbite cautiously. She too crouched some, thinking her advance over before moving. Making her move in a dart forward, she attempted to get beneath him, claws sheathed as she tried batting at his belly. She had slightly misjudge her "getting beneath" part, and her back half was basically still out in the open. Trying to salvage it though, her back paws kicked lightly in attempt to get at his chest or even chin, though likely in vain.

He lifted his chin, unable to stop himself from chuckling as her little legs waved about trying to get at him. He used a big paw to wrap around her haunches, claws digging into her fur, and dragged her back out. ‘Good! You tried to salvage the situation. Next time, put a little more speed into it to ensure you can come out without being caught.’ He’d missed this. She seemed bright enough; Duskstorm had done a good job so far at teaching her. And her determination was admirable.

Ravencall ~ Camp ~ With Flintstar (Smokey Feather)"If the patrol goes smoothly, I can make some time with her to show you what she's learned," He replied, head tilting, "She tries very hard, really gives it her all. She still has a bad fear of water, but I've been trying to get her to the point where she can work around it." He paused, frowning. "Maybe Duskstorm can bring Mudpaw along, or perhaps Iceheart can bring Cherrypaw. Whisperfur or Streamwhisper as well. What do you think?"

BloodroseMudpaw looked happy when she was praised. She nodded when Wolfbite told her to up her speed. That could definitely be done, seeing as she was built for it. Actually getting up, she moved back some steps and asked "Can I try again? Just to see if I can get it." It would likely take more than just another try, but she wanted to try out what she was being critiqued on LycaoniaFlintstar nodded slowly. "Take her to the smaller part of the river by the abandoned twoleg den. The flow isn't aggressive at all." When he mused about who to take, she tilted her head. "We can go collect Duskstorm right now if you'd like, and I do believe I saw Mudpaw go out with Wolfbite. Perhaps we can go get them too on the way. In case they'd rather stay, or we just don't see them, let's go get Iceheart, Cherrypaw and Whisperfur now. Foxpaw too." That would give her three apprentices to watch, of Mudpaw and Wolfbite didn't mind tagging along. Walking around the camp, she said "You go get the apprentices. I'll go collect Iceheart and Duskstorm." And with that, she'd gone to the warriors den to go tell them both of the little outing that was apparently happening. ( Bloodrose )

‘Of course you can.’ He replied, moving back into position again, and crouching down a little once more, lifting his back leg. ‘Okay.’
Duskstorm sleepily sat up as Flintstar came to fetch him. ‘I’m coming.’ He grumbled, ears flat as he dragged himself out of the den. Caught napping, he supposed. He stretched out his legs, heaving a sigh as he trotted to join the forming group, washing a paw over his face.

Mudpaw crouched again, and an ear twitched before she sprang forward. She moved much faster than before though, sort of. Twisting onto her back again, she attempted the same move. Well, she got the speed part down. Momentum was her next wall, as she slid right out the other way, this time only her back paws getting a chance to get some light hits in.
Flintstar lightly bumped Duskstorm's shoulder as she joked "Sleep when you're dead. Poor Wolfbite should be complaining with Stormsong like an elder, not training your apprentice." Again, jokingly. She knew Duskstorm took mentoring seriously, or else Mudpaw wouldn't be on track to becoming a warrior.

Iceheart ~ Camp ~ With Flintstar (Smokey Feather) and Duskstorm (Bloodrose)Hearing her name being spoken, Iceheart abandoned her search for Cherrypaw and followed Flintstar to the Warrior's Den. The white Warrior perked her ears forward in curiosity as she joined her Leader and fellow Warrior. "Is something going on?" She asked, face as impassive as always. Iceheart eyed Duskstorm for a moment, before reaching over and delicately plucking a particularly stubborn bit of moss that clung to his fur. For all her face stayed straight, her eyes twinkled with amusement at the sleepy Warrior. Ravencall ~ Camp ~ With Cherrypaw (Voidastral) and Foxpaw (Bloodrose)Ravencall spotted Cherrypaw almost immediately and called to her to join him as he padded to the Apprentice's Den. "Time for work, Cherrypaw," He called happily, before sticking his head into where Foxpaw usually denned down. "Foxpaw! You around, lazy? There's a patrol on and we're invited."

Wolfbite released a deep burst of laughter, turning to look at her. ‘Better, actually!! At least you got out of my way.’ He purred at her softly, sitting down. ‘Now then... what do you think went wrong that time?’
Duskstorm lightened up a little at Flintstars teasing, chuckling softly. ‘It does the Tom some good. He can’t stand lying around doing nothing all day. Not good on his mind.’ He jolted slightly as Iceheart plucked some moss from his fur, awkwardly looking away from her. He never had been the social type with those closer to his age.

((Deleted some stuff and cleared history. Hoping I’ve found the culprit =^=))
A frantic scrabbling sound came from within the den, followed by vague clumsy crashing of paws over twigs. Then Foxpaws head popped out of the den opening, her eyes wide with excitement. ‘Really?!’ She squeaked, dragging herself out of the den. She was getting far too big to be in there. Her long silky fur was covered in twigs and leaves that had got stuck, and her tail was worse for wear. The apprentice disregarded her haggard appearance, instead bouncing around her mentor. ‘Where are we going? The whole territory?’ She excitedly asked, her tail raised up high.
