S n o w s p o t s - - - LochClan Camp; Hemlockstar; @velveteenwolf
Even if the touch was brief, it was there, and Snowspots relished in the brief, but meaningful embrace of her mate. For a moment her head drifted back to their younger years, when the stress of inevitable leadership was free from their shoulders, when they were new warriors and could make dumb mistakes, and nothing mattered because they had each other... Hemlockstar was always so optimistic, so eager for a challenge, he matched a fire in her that could not be put out. For the longest time the two were more like rivals than friends, Snowspots constantly trying to show the massive tom that just because he was so big and strong didn't mean he was the best cat ever. And yet, time and time again the tom proved to her that he was in fact the best cat ever. He won her heart... She let him be the father to her kits... Time changes everything. "No silly..." She murmured softly, batting him lightly over the ears now that he was on equal playing grounds with her. The snowy white she-cat dropped her front paws across his flank, half pinning him to the ground in a lazy hug. "Don't even try to pretend like you've just been gone this one morning... I have barely gotten to see you in like... a week..." Snowspots murmured in his ears, her long fluffy tail slowly stirring up the grass beneath them. "I know you've missed me too, mouse-dung." O a k p a w - - - LochClan Camp; Spiderdusk; Tekoa
Despite even Spiderdusk's best efforts, Oakpaw jumped 10 feet in the air and whirled around at the sudden sound of another clan-mate. The spotted brown tom felt his heart stop, then kick back again as he let out a loud exhale, realizing it was not an intruder or a hawk or any number of things, but it was instead the newly made warrior, and former den-mate, Spiderdusk. "J-Jee golly... You s-scared me half out my f-fur..." The tom weakly stammered, shuffling his paws as his fur burnt in embarrassment. Contrary to some might believe, Oakpaw did not enjoy looking weak in front of his clan-mates. "N-Nope... I don't think there's anything to fear. I mean, except for the inevitable... Like, death. Or. Some kind of giant rock that comes hurdling from the sky to crush us all, you know something like that out of our control our something..." The timid tom rambled, head beginning to spin.

Hemlockstar- - - LochClan Camp; Snowspots; kanti
To the muscled tom, the weight of his mate across his back was the equivalent of a kitten trying to pin one of his paws, barely noticeable but the tom's whiskers twitched all the same. Lifting the front half of his frame up in order to lean back and rasp his tongue between her ears in an affectionate gesture. Playing along with the idea that she had him trapped, happy in the warmth of her closeness for now and not in a mood to argue or force her away. Shrugging his bulky shoulders with a sigh, "Life's been busy, you of all cats should know that," he reasoned with a sheepish flick of his ears. He hated to not be around her, if anything he wanted to spend all the more time with her after their recent tragedy, but he found it difficult to see her without remembering what they had lost. He knew he needed to be strong for her, but with every progressing day, he found it more and more difficult. "I'm sorry," he admitted finally, burrowing his dark furred face into her shoulder fur with a soft sigh, basking in her scent for a moment before pulling away and looking up at her again, "I will try better," Hemlockstar's voice carried a genuine tone to it that had fled the voice in recent moons. He touched his nose to hers, "I do love you, and I'm sorry if I've given you the impression I don't in recent times."

Haresky is more than welcome to be related to Cedarwhisp Sparkly ^^ Sorry for being poofy, my laptop is 5 years old and likes to pretend it doesn't work anymore. I refuse to take it into a store though because then it magically works again xD Also Kanti I almost fell out of my chair laughing at ANGRY sparkstorm lmao)) Cedarwhisp | Camp | Stormchaser (@velveteenwolf ) Cedarwhisp demeanor grew thoughtful and quiet. Her gaze turned towards the Stormchaser, love and appreciation kindling in their sea-green depths. Wearing a cautious expression she carefully pieced her words together. This is why she hadn't wanted to tell him, it only caused worry that she hated to inflict on him. "I think that I'll give it a few more nights before going to Drizzelfall." The light brown tabby finally said, entwining her tail with her mate's. "If they persist, then I'll seak her out. I would've seen a Starclan cat if they truly were a warning." Living in a stoutly religious clan, Cedarwhisp believed that their ancestors regularly spoke to them through dreams, but omens and warnings were reserved for medicine cats. Her nightmares were most likely caused by slight claustrophobia. Or so she hoped. The golden-accented warrior brushed her cheek against her mates, basking in his scent and soothing presence. It was a reassuring gesture, although just as much for her as it was for him. "You don't have to worry, Stormchaser. I promise." Spiderdusk | Camp | Oakpaw (kanti )
"Oakpaw, its okay! It's me!" Spiderdusk jumped backward a step as Oakpaw whirled around to face him. Despite his precautions, it appeared that he had still startled the caramel striped apprentice. Whiskers twitching in amusement, the black and orange patched tom glanced towards the sky, puzzled by the mention of falling rocks. "Ah, but inevitabilities make life interesting," Spiderdusk responded, trying to sound like a wise warrior- despite the fact was only a few moons older than Oakpaw. Tail held at a high angle with the tip slightly crooked over his back, he looked as though he was leading a coo against all the prey in the forest. His younger moons shone through, however, as he opened one amber eye too see if Oakpaw had noticed how regal he looked...... No? Well. Whatever. Spiderdusk shook out his dark pelt, a single piece of moss clinging to his side. "Sorry for startling you, Oakpaw. My bad."

Stormchaser- - - LochClan Camp; Cedarwhisp; Tekoa
Uncertainty darkened his gaze as he cast it across his mate, as though trying to decide whether or not he believed what she had said, but knowing full well that he wasn't likely to win this argument. Out of the couple, it was definitely Cedarwhisp who held the brains and a sharper tongue than his own. Rasping his tongue between her ears with a soft sigh, "If you are certain," he replied though the tone of worry failed to leave his voice. "But talk to me about this kind of thing, I don't have many uses but its what I'm here for," his whiskers twitched with a level of amusement. He admittedly let out a soft purr when she entwined her tail with his, and he brushed closer to the warrior with an affectionate rumble coming from his chest. "Its you, I have to worry." He told her mischeviously. Deciding that for now he would leave the conversation be, knowing he would likely not get any further truths from the shecat he loved. It wasn't always in her nature to be entirely open with him, He was likely never going to get that to change, and in truth he wouldn't have changed a thing about her, even if she could be occasionally frustrating. "Would you like to come for a hunt?" He offered with a twitch of his whiskers, hopeful at his chances of getting out of camp and potentially drying off a little more than it was now and potentially have a good time with his mate.

Cedarwhisp | Camp | Stormchaser (@velveteenwolf ) Cedarwhisp purred affectionately as Stormchaser's muzzle brushed against the fur between her ears. He knew her so well, it caught her off guard sometimes. Most cats couldn't get a peek over the walls she built up around herself, but he could take them down with a simple look. "Careful," The golden-accented warrior replied, a loving expression filling her gaze. "I could talk your ears off if you let me." She touched her nose to his, an unspoken 'I love you' passing between them through the gesture. The offer of a hunt refreshed her spirits, almost causing her to jump onto her paws with anticipation. She withheld, pressing herself against him for another heartbeat before rising.
"A hunt sounds amazing right now," The warrior said, mirroring Stormchaser's mischievous expression. "As long as you don't drag me in with you when you feel like falling in again."

Stormchaser- - - LochClan Camp; Cedarwhisp; Tekoa
"Depends," he responded with a twitch of his whiskers. Arching his back as he stretched out his legs and shook free what remaining water droplets he was able to before straightening up once again and turning back to her. "If you gosip my ears off, I might just have to in order to shut you up." The slender tom's whiskers twitched playfully, brushing against his mate's pelt. He remained there for a brief second, enjoying her scent and warmth before pulling apart with a playful growl. "Race you to the Red Summit?" He reasoned at this time of day the sun would be basking the sandy area making it warmer than the territory would usually be, plus when they were done hunting they could refresh their thirsts before making the journey back to camp. But the charcoal tom didn't wait for Cedarwhisp to answer, on his paws the tom bounded onward as fast as his paws would take him. Gone from camp without as much as a glance over his shoulder, his paws cascaded through the long grass as he tore onward. Expecting his mate to follow without much of a thought as to whether or not she actually would.

Cedarwhisp | Leaving Camp | Stormchaser (@velveteenwolf ) Cedarwhisp grinned as Stormchaser brushed up against her, readying herself for the inevitable challenge of racing to some location in Lochclan territory. The charcoal tom was built with a fleeter paw than she was, but short sprints where her specialty. As long as she could get a head start- but before the golden-accented tabby could ready her hind muscles, he was launching out of camp in a dark streak of fur. Race you to The Red Summit. Cedarwhisp bounded after him, her ears flat against her head as her hindpaws outreached the front in stride. Drinking in the crisp morning breeze in swift, calculated breaths, the warrior creased the tall grass around her. The fronds bent under her belly as she raced, her whiskers collecting dew in a shimmering arc. Her mate's tail streaked a few cat lengths before her, taking up ground so quickly she could barely see his paws move. That was his specialty, she smirked, whilst veering off the path. Skirting through the Sunlight Trough, Cedarwhisp's form was bathed in the marigold sunrise light. Dust from the moor kicking up under her paws the shecat angled her course towards The Red Summit in a shortcut. It wasn't much of an advantage, as even with her quick thinking Stormchaser was a tail length ahead of her. Albeit the look on his face as she careened towards him through the precipice of grass lining the red sand was priceless.
Sides gently heaving, Cedarwhisp brushed her muzzle along his flank as she caught up to him. "Oh, I'd call that a tie," She teased, sea green eyes glinting warmly with the jest.

Skidding to a stop as the ground underfoot turned from grass to red sand, sending a scatter of dirt flying a foxlength or two as he turned on the aforehand to look to his mate with a bright grin on his expression. Breaths beginning to form pants, the slender warrior was built for stamina and speed as opposed to strength, so the race didnt take as much of a toll on him as it might have done some of his clan. He let out a rumbling purr as his mate charged after him, dark fur becoming shiny as it became cloaked in the golden light of morning sunshine. The sleek tom let out a soft purr as Cedarwhisper brushed against him running his muzzle through her fur as he caught his breath with relative speed and was soon casting his gaze around the area in search of signs of prey.”But of course,” he replied with a playful twitch of his whiskers, affection brightening his gaze as he basked in her beauty for a moment or two. Before realising they likely had to actually get on with something productive, even if he’d much rather remain in this moment for the rest of time.
Before she could say anything further, the charcoal Bengal moved away at a quiet pace, pressed close to the ground as he continued onward a few foxlengths, his nostrils flaring as he prepared fo the first catch of the day. Tail flicking from side to side he didnt look back at her, before lunging forward. His paws colliding with the tawny flanks of a small rabbit and killing it before it could as much as squeak in surprise at the sudden ambush. Returning to his mate with a triumphant purr, he dropped the prey with a widening grin. “Catch up, slow poke,” Stormchaser purred.

Sorry I'm taking forever to respond, my dog keeps trying to get under the couch and getting stuck. Her toy got stuck and she's stubborn lmao )) Cedarwhisp | The Red Summit | Stormchaser (@velveteenwolf ) Cedarwhisp's stomach brushed the sandy clearing as she cautiously stalked a mottled rabbit. Remaining down-wind, the tabby warrior slowly but surely closened the noose around the unsuspecting prey. Her shoulders moved elastically as each step was meticulously placed, tail level to the reddish sand. The morning light cast a soft glow over her silhouette, illuminating her swirling stripes and cascade of white down her front end. Then, her fur prickled in annoyance as the wind changed its course. Close enough to taste the creature's breath in the air, Cedarwhisp dug her hind paws into the disheveled earth. If she had been on the hard ground, the warrior wouldn't have placed such effort into stalking the rabbit. The Red Summit was difficult to run on with its deep footing. Sending up a rooster-tail of sand behind her, Cedarwhisp launched after her prey as it careened towards the sheltering tall grass. Swinging her tail to keep her balance, the golden-brown tabby swiveled artfully after it. Lacking her mate's superior stamina, she excelled at short-distance sprints. Striking a sheathed paw across its legs, the warrior sent the rabbit tumbling in a spray of reddish sand. Letting it take itself down with the unbalancing maneuver, Cedarwhisp bounded a few steps to catch up and place a killing bite behind its ears. The soft flesh gently buckled under her teeth as she picked it up and trotted proudly after her Stormchaser.
"Mphouse brainph,"She said affectionately through a mouthful of fur. By now her breathing had subsided to quiet intervals. Cedarwhisp admired the soft rosy glow his charcoal pelt reflected from the red sands. Her tail flicked at an upward angle as she placed her rabbit beside his and returned to scenting the air for other moorland prey items. Her muscles ached slightly from the sudden usage, as going from nothing to sprinting as a feat. Arching elegantly into a brisk stretch, Cedarwhisp trotted towards the tall grass in search of slower prey. Fit and matched with great cardiovascular strength, Cedarwhisp still took a little longer to recover than her talented mate.

“If your in need of a break, do feel free to let me know,” his tone was playful as he snaked around her affectionately and pressed his pelt to hers, nodding a congratulations regarding her catch as he continued to scout around in search of further sustinence for their clan. Whilst sleek and swift footed, the tom lacked the strength which most of his clan were known for, meaning he didn’t make much leeway when it came to the battlefield, but in the open like this where he could truly pick up speed was where the charcoal tom was in his element, and it was clear that he was enjoying himself. Which was of course only greatened given that he was in the presence of his beautiful mate. And as morning broke over LochClan territory, Cedarwhisp did indeed look beautiful cloaked in her golden coat. His eyes brightened a shade with sheer adoration for the shecat, though he said nothing as he watched her movement carefully. Some days he could still barely believe that such an incredible shecat had agreed to take him as a mate.
Now that he was beginning to dry off as the sun made its way into the peak of the sky, his fur was able to dry off. Now looking less like a drowned rat and more like the handsome tom he normally was, but his fur remained sleek to his frame. Showing off athletic muscles beneath his feathered coat, for all of Stormchaser’s cockiness, he had the same insecurities which burdened most cats.
Realising he was staring, his ears grew warm and he quickly drew his gaze away bashfully. Though the purr continued to rumble in his chest, as he continued to look for more prey, and hoping she hadn’t noticed his kitlike staring.
(Just wished to say I love these two!)

They are so cute, I love it ^w^ )) Cedarwhisp | The Red Summit | Stormchaser (@velveteenwolf ) Cedarwhisp purred as Stormchaser pressed up against her, shooing him away with a press of her muzzle as she tried to concentrate on scenting prey. She couldn't multitask very well, especially with the handsome charcoal tom as a distraction. His captivating charm and witty antics always set her heart to melt. Haresky always teased her when he realized her infatuation with him, as any elder sibling would. The golden-brown tabby felt her fur burn under his gaze, but she pretended not to notice.
Slipping into the tall grass, Cedarwhisp trailed the scent of a mouse. A few heartbeats later, the towering grass fronds twitched and creased in a zigzag pattern then stopped moving with a soft thud of paws against dry earth. Pushing through the foliage with two little rodents hanging from their tails in her muzzle, the warrior glanced around for her mate. Knowing not to be greedy, nor push her luck so early in the morning, Cedarwhisp was satisfied with her three catches. She wasn't even certain she could carry more than a large hair and the two plump mice. Placing her fresh catches next to the dusty rabbits, the golden brown she-cat settled onto her paws. Realising that Stormchaser hadn't noticed her leaving the tall grass, a mischievous thought kindled in her mind. Waiting for the charcoal tom to catch whatever he was stalking, she cautiously began to stalk towards him. Mimicking the careful precision she used to gain her rabbit, Cedarwhisp made her way towards the tom with brisk haste. Not wanting to risk him spotting her, she closed the gap in two bounds. Bowling into Stormchaser the two warriors fell sideways into the reddish sand. She was careful not to hit him hard enough to harm her mate, but enough to knock him off of his paws. Laughing heartily, she cast a playful lick across the bridge of the tom's nose.
"Gotcha," Cedarwhisp chirruped, nuzzling the soft fur of his chest as she waited for a witty retort from the charcoal stripped tom.

Just as the tom had turned back, a freshly caught vole now gripped tightly between his jaws he had moved to place it beside the rest of their prey, when his mate hit him like an unexpected freight train. Mreowing aloud in surprise as the pair skidded down the sandy summit a foxlength or two, the tom curled upwards slightly as he landed, trying to avoid his mate getting hurt even when the shecat in question had been the one to ambush him. He growled lowly, but the sound was playful as he pummelled away at her underbelly in a playful manner. Taking advantage of her position to tickle at the sensitive part of her frame, his lean hind legs digging a little at her toned and slim stomach. Stormchaser’s eyes with afire with laughter and affection.
“Fine, fine,” he grumbled with an amused purr. Flattening himself back to the ground as though in admittance of defeat, “you’ve got me, now let me up, mousebrain.” He told her with a purr, exchanging his tickles with nuzzling, nuzzling away at her face as laughter pulled from his lips with every movement. “I’ll get you back for that one, promise.” He promised with a grin.

I just realized I forgot to change 'camp' to 'the red summet', leledits. )) Also, I could have Ashensky poof in dramatic and spookily and then poof away before they notice? )) Cedarwhisp | The Red Summit | Stormchaser (@velveteenwolf ) Cedarwhisp laughed as Stormchaser's paws pummeled her soft stomach fur. She lifted up a white-tipped forepaw in retaliation, gently battering his dark-tinged ears. The two rolled in the reddish sand before the charcoal tom raised a white tail (pun for white flag, idduno.) and admitted defeat. The golden brown tabby lifted her head high triumphantly, her striped tail flicking occasionally in contentment. Laughing warm-heartedly, she curled her paws up against his warm fur. Now that his pelt had dried and was no longer damp and cold, she used his warmth to center her in the present.
Cedarwhisp purred as he nuzzled the sensitive fur along her neck, turning to face her mate with an affectionate growl. "Aha, is that so?" She grinned, her expression mirroring his as he promised to get her back. Oddly feeling that eyes were suddenly watching them, the golden brown she cat lifted her weight off of him to allow the tom to stand. Brushing the reddish sand off of his pelt with her tail, Cedarwhisp rubbed her cheek against his as she passed him to pick up her prey. Gently holding the furred skin in her teeth, she returned to Stormchaser's side and beamed at their bounty. "The great hunters of Lochclan return to feed their clan." She joked with an amused twitch of her whiskers. Walking close enough for their pelts to brush with each step, she entwined her tail with his. The gesture was smooth and easy, Cedarwhisp thoroughly enjoyed his company and loved how easily she could be herself with him. No judgment or criticism ever came from Stormchaser's lips, they could be themselves together, as goofy and kittish as that might be... She loved him for it.

(ooh, I like) Pinned beneath her weight, the tom watched her with a grin lighting his face. The fact that she seemed far happier now than she had when he came back to camp earlier that morning brought joy to his heart, for what was the point of a mate if not for cheering the other up when they were down or going through hard times. He would have happily stayed in that moment forever, the closeness of her fur and the taste of her scent on his tongue, he couldnt imagine a more happy time. He would have done anything to see this expression lighting her face for the rest of time, it brought more joy than he could ever describe to his heart. Watching her with a warm gaze, taking in every part of her beautiful face for a moment, content where he was the tom might have suggested putting off returning to camp for a while. If not for the fact he was unable to shake the feeling of being watched from his fur. Shaking the idea from his head as best as he could, thinking nothing of it and putting it down to some sort of ancestor being somewhere in the radius. It wouldn’t be something different to the norm of their every day, but this felt different. This felt darker.
“You bet,” he replied with a chuckle, lifting himself to his paws when he was at last released from his grip, and picking up the remaining prey from their makeshift pile. He brushed close to her with a soft purr, “Why dont we stay by the loch for a little? The weather is getting warmer, and I’m sure the camp wont set on fire if we’re gone only for a little while.” He said with a sly grin, keeping as close to her as a shadow would have. Though his words now muffled by the fur of his rabbit gripped in his jaws as he looked back at her with a laugh. “I’m sure the clan wouldn’t miss just one rabbit from the fresh kill pile?” He offered with a tilt to his head, reasoning they had worked hard enough to deserve to take something for themselves.
Moving to where the earth underfoot began to descend, in the direction of the loch bellow them. “My rabbit of course, given that its so much larger than the pathetic creature that threw itself in your direction so desperate of death,” he teased playfully. Around his mate he had few limits, the joy she brought to his heart was more than he could likely have ever properly described to her.
